Moxy's Part of The Lost Boys Megathread
From u/NeoGotMyBack
Moxy's part of the 127 documentary dropped a bomb on the fandom and everything is crazy. Mods are regulating all updates to this megathread instead of clogging the home page with a bunch of posts about the same thing.
now for my thoughts :)
For those of you who don't know 127's documentary, The Lost Boys, dropped on Disney+ and Hulu for international viewers. Instead of a look into Moxy's childhood like the rest of the members, we got a look into Moxy's early days with 127. Specifically, Moxy reflected on the seemingly many times she wanted to quit because she didn't mesh with the group well.
One of the biggest unanswered questions within the fandom is what changed with Moxy and 127 during Regular promotions. Moxy went from being silent to the normal side of her we see today. The boys went from not knowing anything about Moxy (In meme worthy fashion) to actively sharing bits about their lives with her as TMI's
I think most czennies wrote this off as Moxy not being comfortable on camera but we all knew that was a lie when Moxy started doing press for comebacks both during and after Regular. She may be quiet but we all know her comedic timing is impeccable. She doesn't indulge in skinship much on camera but she messes around with the boys in bts videos.
I can't speak for everyone but for me. I've forgiven Taeyong and the boys for what's happened. All of this went down years ago. The members are all cool with each other and I don't think its up to us to judge and critique their relationships now when we wouldn't do it for others. Like members fight all the time not just in NCT but in other idol groups too. We hear about these fights that go on and nobody bats and eye. Now its revealed that a girl and a boy in the same group got into a fight and everyone's up in arms debating about whose wrong and whose not.
anyways that's all i have to say about it. Lets try and be a bit more civil here than things are on twitter.

u/It’sAllAboutFamily - I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!! I called this like two years ago. I always though the way Moxy reacted to 127 back in her early days is like night and day compared to now. Like my friend, whose also an nctzen, thought I was crazy when I pointed out Moxy asking Taeyong for permission to speak
u/captaincut - I KNEW I WASNT CRAZY!!! you're talking about weekly idol right???
u/It’sAllAboutFamily - YESS!! It's the limitess!era episode. one of the mc's asks Moxy what its like in an all boy group. Moxy turns slightly while starting to talk but if you look at Taeyong, he nods before she keeps going
u/BasicallyinLove - OG Moxy stan here and my heart hurts after watching Moxy's part of the doc. I don't think nctzen's understand how many iconic moments we would have lost if Moxy truly quit. The Superhuman stunt. The Favorite High Note. THE CHERRY BOMB RAP BATTLE!!!!
u/BlackWidowsWife - I'm sorry but SM is real bogus for not giving the boys a heads up about Moxy. Were they just supposed to be cool with the company throwing a random stranger into a group of boys who LITERALLY RAISED EACH OTHER!!!
u/Combebe - What I wanna know is who won the fight.....
u/SnowCapped - I guarantee it was Moxy. Her words can cut like a knife.
u/UrAWizard - Go watch any compilations of Moxy silently judging 127 and try to convince yourself she didn't win
u/GottaCatchEmAll - Not to be that person but I always thought the group finally meshed during Regular promotions
u/HeHadItComing - I don't think its right to make people feel bad about being disappointed in what the ilichil's did back then. Their actions lead to Moxy wanting to quit two different times. Who knows how many more there could have been. It's great that everything worked out for the better but those emotions have a place in the space
u/TakeMeToDisney - I'm pointing all my anger at SM. Not the boys. Not Taeyong and especially not Moxy. Everything that Taeyong and Moxy have went through with this company before debut could have been avoided
u/HeighHo - Right!??!?! Like Moxy always said the day the boys found out about Limitless was the same day they found out about her, johnny and doyoung entering the group
u/LikeAPhantom - Like I bet SM was hoping the boys would be distracted by Johnny and Doyoung that they wouldn't even say anything about Moxy
u/SailorMercury - It's crazy knowing this information and looking back at 127's content. The legendary 127 meme of the boys not knowing A THING about Moxy on Weekly Idol is real.
u/RosesAreWhite - Taeyong and Moxy's relationship is one of my favorites within NCT. He treats her with such love and kindness. At an extreme he babies her. Now he may be doing that cause he missed out on years of doting on one of the maknaes.
u/FeelMyRhythm - Imagine being so good that everyone considers you a shoo-in for Red Velvet.....and not wanting it
u/MyAToTheZ - I'm sorry to anyone this offends but Moxy was not fit for Red Velvet or Aespa
u/TheWhiteLotus - Like Moxy has too much swag for either of those groups. In each one, she would have had to turn herself down
u/SpiritUnleashed For once I agree with SM!! Moxy's talents would have been wasted in any other girl group. Like not saying this is a bad thing but SM would have had to let her go to another company. If I were them, I'd do ANYTHING to prevent that.
u/GottaGetBack - For real!!! SM hit the jackpot with Moxy. Red Velvet reference intended
u/LumosNox - If you think about it the only one in the wrong is SM. At worst, Taeyong and Moxy got in a verbal fight. Par of the course for any other pair of idols. Its training and debuting, tensions run high all the time and that's bound to explode in some way. Other than that, both sides ignored each other until they couldn't anymore. SM was the one who plopped a girl in the middle of their freshly debuted boy group after ONE MINI ALBUM!! How else are those boys supposed to feel other than not good enough
u/LaLaLandMachine - Warning to any Tyongf's or COH's, A lot of anti's are using this information to start spreading hate. Its best to just ignore these people for now
u/CrawlingOnYourKnees - I'm looking back at videos from before Regular!era and I'm definatly seeing the change in interactions. Moxy would go from being super stiff and rigid around everyone to being relaxed when its just Doyoung and Johnny.
u/Aquamarine - It's sad that these memories will be tainted for me as a fan. It's hard to look back and know how bad things were for Moxy back then
u/ShiningBright - Even watching the To Us videos of 2 Baddies. Things that were mentioned about Moxy make WAYYY more sense with context
_________________ Hours Later ____________________
u/LaLaLandMachine - GUYSSS!!! Moxy and Taeyong are doing a weverse live RIGHT NOW!!!
u/LumosNox - I will never forgive that manager who told Taeyong if NCT fails, it's his fault. Those words clearly traumatized him
u/SpiritUnleashed - "When you walked through the door I was confused. When they told us you were becoming a member.....I couldn't speak cause my heart was in my throat." "I felt like I failed." and what if I cry, then what??
u/RosesAreWhite - Quote from Taeyong "The nitpicking started because of me. I thought if you made a mistake they'd come and scold me. If I made sure you didn't make a mistake, they couldn't say anything. But I took it too far
u/HeighHo - Man when Taeyong said he felt like Juno was a second chance to do what he should have done for Moxy when she joined. I felt that. I proud that Taeyong sees and acknowledges he was wrong.
u/captaincut - Some people wouldn't even admit they were wrong. I'm never doubting Taeyong again
u/UrAWizard - Moxy and Taeyong saying our feelings are valid, your favs could never
u/SnowCapped - This felt real to me. Like this wasn't planned by the company. Moxy and Taeyong saw what was happening and addressed it so the group and czennies could move on because they're in a better place
u/HeHadItComing - Loved that Moxy comforts Taeyong while he was sharing his side of the story. It truly seems like they've talked this out a while ago and are finally ready to move on

But Why?
Recently, I discovered a meme that quotes “seems like I'm the only person who doesn't have kids.” For me, that’s true. I’m twenty two as of right now and I don't necessarily would like to wait forever to have kids. However, what’s so wrong with wanting to experience more to life before creating one?
My whole life I’ve always lived in Florida. I’ve never been on a cruise, I’ve never been to a real concert and never have I ever been to Disney World. These are things and places people like to enjoy when they vacation here in Florida, you would think generally the people that live here permanently would have at least experience two out of these three things. Not me.
But why is it so bad to still want to do these things now? Most people my age already have a kid or already on their third child. I scroll and see these people lives that look so happy because they’re kids are a blessing. I truly believe that is a beautiful thing to have. I’m with somebody who has a kid already and sometimes it’s hard to absorb what I think I should be doing sometimes.
It’s not everyday we see his son, considering joint custody between parents. I know what I got myself into when we starting dating, but its been five years now. I just want to experience things people my age are able to do before I'm settled down like most people my age already are.
