my guy you just gave me an entire AU idea

RED and BLU are rival entertainment companies, both build animatronics that perform at restaurant locations and can be rented, FNAF-style. their animatronics are so similar that one *has* to be ripping off the other, but nobody knows which is the original and which is the copy so people just pick which one they go to based on the color scheme and aesthetic

Scout has two main functions; waiter/server, and entertainer via sports. he has impeccable balance and sure footing, making him perfect for carrying plates and other dishes across a room filled with rambunctious, running children. when it comes to entertaining, he has an entire portion of his memory bank dedicated to just about every major sport in existence. his AI’s pretty good in that if the kids don’t understand some of the rules for a game, he can easily roll with it and come up with rule modifications on the spot to make sure the games are as fun as possible. normal racing is a popular game, especially since Scout’s fast. a lot faster than he lets on.

Solly works as one of multiple story-teller bots, specializing in exciting, action-filled stories- 9 times out of 10, war ones. when he was being built, the poor engineer/mechanic/all-around technician (Miss Pauling) was too sleep deprived to come up with many ideas beyond war stories. Soldier also promotes general physical health, and will usually run through “training exercises” (fit for kids) with everyone in the room after the story is over. a lot of the parents think that only the boys would like Soldier and some of them actively discourage their daughters from visiting him but they’re DUMB. at least half of the crowd of yelling, confidence-boosted cadets is eager young girls raring to fight and prove that they can do anything the boys can. sometimes the kids’ll form teams and play-fight/do a mock war. Solly makes sure that nobody gets injured and everyone knows how to “fight” without actually hurting someone. he knows how to do it perfectly, after all.

Pyro does arts and crafts, sometimes with Demo or Engie. they also, by nature of their mute design, encourage kids to be more understanding of people who don’t talk for whatever reason, which then carries over to being more understanding of anyone not like them. Pyro’s room is by far the most colorful; walls painted like Pyroland, cork boards absolutely littered in drawings the kids have given them, the shelves in his personal room (basically a closet where he goes to deactivate at the end of the day) filled with trinkets the kids made. their room is also connected to a small outside area with a fire pit. it’s nice for kids to relax with him and just watch the fire go. he even has a built-in lighter function in his hands, so he can start up a fire whenever.

Demo is also a story-teller, but his story genres are mystery and mythological/paranormal. he has a specialized voice box that lets him make sound effects, but so that they still sound like a human imitating the sound. his room is one of the most popular ones, though he prefers to wander around the establishment instead of sit in his room when he’s not telling stories. he helps out Pyro with arts and crafts, occasionally, but another way he likes to spend time with the kids is by showing off the medieval weapons (models) he has, and the kids always find it cool. it’s a rather large collection, and the models are quite…accurate.

Engie is, just like his normal tf2 counterpart, good at just about everything and pretty overworked. if animatronics could get stress headaches, he would, although mostly because of his desire to get all of his jobs done perfectly all at once. the jobs in question are musical entertainment, assistant cook, helping with arts and crafts, and helping with maintenance after the place is closed. he can play any strummed string instrument, and has a separate voice box just for singing. he also has extensive knowledge of the inner workings most of the electronic systems in the building; lights, sound systems, fire suppression- but not security. the company doesn’t want to risk him going haywire or getting some kind of malware and then letting thieves and such in. Engie also has an issue with his programming for talking to adults- the speech part of his ai is lacking in that department, so he tends to pull from what he knows for talking to kids, which used to make him come across as condescending at times. by now, though, he’s tweaked it and managed to perfect that polite, disarming tone of voice. he’s very good at it.

Heavy and Sniper’s rooms are connected and are the two designated “quiet rooms”. Heavy also reads to/with the kids and Sniper also tells nature stories, but for the most part they just keep a calm environment. kids with sensory issues, kids who get overstimulated, and even just kids who want to take a nap come to their rooms. there’s plenty of differently textured stuff available if someone needs to ground themselves or just wants to feel a certain texture. as for Heavy and Sniper themselves, they’re very calm and keep their voices low. Sniper makes sure everyone’s doing alright and doesn’t need anything, and Heavy deals with kids that are getting too loud or rambunctious (he’ll guide them out of the room and give them a gentle scolding, then let them back in if they promise to behave). if, for whatever reason, a parent is the one causing the issue, it’s still rather easy to get the parent out of the room(s), especially considering the strength of the two

Medic is the first aid bot, of course. the are a handful of different first aid stations around the building, with buttons to call Medic to them if he’s not there already. something went a little wrong with his personality coding, making him that unhinged man we all know and love, but he’s surprisingly good with kids and filtering what he says to not disturb them. the kids adore him. like Engie, though, he has issues interacting with adults- but instead of pulling from kid interaction info and coming off as condescending, Medic goes off of default, bland, robot interaction and ends up being just…creepy. short, curt speech, a lot of staring (with eyes that are far too observant and watching to be comfortable), and over time it goes from creepy and emotionless to creepy and somewhat hostile. it’s clear he’d rather be anywhere but around the adult. if one is being very insistent on talking to him, he’ll take to tidying up the nearest first aid station, giving a few…specific tools a rather thorough cleaning.

Spy, on the other hand, deals entirely with adults. he greets people at the door, and ensures the adults are at the very least comfortable while their kids have fun. most people question why his face was designed the way it was (with a mask), but…he’s calm, sophisticated, charming, the perfect animatronic for the job and honestly a good conversationalist. so nobody ever bothers to ask. it’s just a design choice, after all. Spy’s second function is assistant security, which has two parts of its own. the first is if a kid gets lost in the admittedly very large building. he’s the one who tracks them down and guides them back to their guardian. the second is helping the night shift guards when the place is closed. on most nights, he just patrols with them and takes care of any issues by following normal protocol. sometimes, though, he can convince the guards to go home and get some rest, and he and some (or all) of the other bots patrol. if someone tries to break in on one of those nights, well…you weren’t expecting to break into the home of nine sentient, semi-malfunctioning robots and get out, were you ?

Something that I think about a lot is how the bots in training mode always know where you are and who you are. They just pretend they don't, that you're fooling them with your disguise and your cloak.

Even if you walk in front of the sniper you're disguised as, he can't do anything to you unless you give him a valid reason, like dropping it or bumping into him. But he knows. He knows very well. You're not fooling anybody but he knows better than to attack.

There are two reasons I can think of this:

A. Somehow your disguise is so flawless, unaturally so, that even if a merc is looking at the mirror image of themself, there is something that is constricting them from attacking. Maybe it's in their body, like a sense of impending doom telling them to get away, do not engage. Maybe it's you, there is something wrong with the way you move, the way you breathe, the way you wear their face and clothes that has them standing there, stupefied, horrified or

B. Your disguise is so utterly dogshit the bots/mercs are taking pity on you and are pretending to be fooled for your sake. Yes they know, they know you're not their spy, he is literally standing right over there and you're not even trying to look subtle. Yes, of course they know you're sitting cloaked in the corner because that's where you always go. You always disguise as scout. But they don't want to embarrass you or crush your dreams because they think you're still learning, so they let you be until you drop it. Then they act all shocked and panicked and gun you down

Random training mode bits about the player in relation to the 'bot' team

You don't actually live on base with your team. After the day's fighting is over, you just suddenly disappear. Sometimes for days, months or even years, until you suddenly come back to fight during setup. Spy once tried to follow you. He doesn't talk about what he saw.

Sometimes when you come back, your outfit changes. You go from wearing nothing but the standard uniform, to wearing a hat you probably got from the dumpster, to having a hat that is somehow casting a cloud over it? And it's raining snowflakes on you? Medic and Engineer have tried to study it but it's like your hat is glued to your head and it won't come off. They've given up on it, but sometimes they're concerned you'll get sick from it.

The only person you ever directly interact with is Medic, and that's to thank him after he heals you. He brags about this to everybody and says that if even you can be polite and grateful, then the rest of the team damn sure can too.

Your team often tries to talk to you, but you never seem to understand. You look at them, but aside from your eyes following them, your expression is completely blank and you never directly reply. They continue regardless.

You have a limited vocabulary that they've placed into different categories (voice commands). Rarely you say something that deviates from this but it is often in single letters or swears. Spy has tried to decipher what they mean but nothing makes sense.

Your voice is whatever class you're on. The only person who's heard your 'real' voice was Scout, who heard you speak through his headphones. He always talks about it but nobody believes him.

Sometimes you show up in a different class and body. The way they know it's you is because you never quite look right. The majority of the team hate seeing you wearing their body and most will avoid you like the plague until you change.

Sometimes they give you items to differentiate yourself or to hide your face. Sometimes you put these things on. Sometimes you scrap them and turn them into other hats or weapons. Sometimes you just throw them away.

You do not die right. The only thing that can kill you immediately is a headshot or backstab. Everything else you live through, even when your clothes are soaked with blood and you are barely breathing, you never stop until your body literally drops.

You show up to every Smissmas Party and even give people gifts. It's always something manufactured by Mann.co, weapons and hats. You don't seem to care who you are giving it to (you once gave Sniper a wrench and Medic a can of BONK!) as long as you are giving something. You never open the presents they give you unless they stick it in a sock with a candy cane. You never eat the candy cane. You never eat anything.

Sometimes you just stop. In the middle of battle or standing in spawn, you just stop and stand there, breathing in your perfectly controlled way. You don't even react when you're being attacked, you just stand there, bleeding and staring without acknowledgement. Sometimes the team makes sure you stay safe by standing guard or moving the fight further up to leave you alone. You can stand still for days at a time.

You always find the team. It doesn't matter where they are, if you left them in Junction and they've moved onto Dustbowl, you will always find them. You will come back from wherever you've been, wearing a different hat or the same one you wore 3 years ago, and you will settle yourself in line with the team, and they will greet you and you will say nothing back.

Is he even IN the story? How come all the animatronics were attacking you? How come Freddy WASN’T attacking you? What made Freddy crash on stage? What happened to Vanny and the animatronics after Gregory left? How does the Daycare attendant work? Is he two animatronics in one? Is he two separate animatronics? How can his FABRIC CLOTHES physically change color if the game implies they are the same animatronic? WHY was Gregory at the pizzaplex in the first place??“

Hmmm, good question... Now, my memory isn’t the best. But out of all the fandoms I’ve jumped into? I’d probably say Octonauts was the most welcoming and overall supportive of me.

I think part of it was because the Octonauts fandom is a bit small.. so when a new artist came around it was like “Heck yeah man! Common in! :DDD”

And also most of the angst lovers in the fandom were on the same page as me, so I got a lot of support there too XD

I have! And I’ve seen a few episodes of it. So far I really like it! Mostly because there were episodes centered around my favorite characters XD (Captain Barnacles, Calico Jack, Ranger Marsh and Professor Natquik)

Actually, funnily enough Engineer isn’t wounded in this comic. This was before his injury. 

Engineer is just freaking the heck out over the dolls outside.. 👀

Actually, you may be in luck! Have you heard the news going around? There was some updates recently and a lot of the bots have been weeded out.

When I heard the news, I couldn’t believe it. So I hopped on to see what was up and sure enough.. the casual servers were surprisingly clean. I mean there’s still a bot here and there. But it wasn’t like before when you couldn't even leave spawn without getting sniped from across the map.

The casual servers actually have real players now, and most of the bots have been wiped out :}}

Or at least, uh. It was like that last time I checked a few months ago. Maybe the bots came back idk--

I don’t like it when people draw fanart of my stuff.

But if you were to draw fanart and never show/tell anyone and it would only be for your eyes to see? I mean, what am I gonna do? Be upset about something that I have no idea was drawn?

The only set back would be the ✨soul crushing guilt✨ of drawing fanart of some of my stuff even though you know I don’t vibe with that XD

Like I did with TF2 recently. I was getting a little burnt out with writing so I took a short break by diving head first into TF2 again XD

I used to shy away from parkouring from fandom to fandom back in the day. But now a days I find that I have more fun by just drawing what ever I feel like drawing at the time. And my followers don’t seem to mind sooo,, XD

@paintedpig I have a voice in mind for Foxy actually! I imagine him sounding just like his cannon voice. You can hear it in the Ultimate custom night voice lines.

As for Bonnie? I don’t think I really have one in mind for him... But I know he doesn’t sound high pitched and goofy. Like Nedd bear or Goofy the dog. I imagine his voice is deeper and more chill. Kind’a like what Freddy Fazbear might sound like?

And its not that I don’t like those comics anymore. I’m still proud of them and like how they came out! Its just that from a lore perspective,, they don’t fit into the story anymore. Soooo for the sake of telling the story, they need a do over! :}

@sweetturtledonkeycookie  I usually draw/post what ever fandom I’m into at the time. After my FNAF re-faze dies down maybe I’ll jump back into Octonauts. Or Undertale, ooorrrr jump into a NEW fandom like Sam and Max or something XD I cant predict what faze I’m going to go through next! You’re just going to have to wait and see! 😅

Yeah, I figured that the story was probably great and the characters were probably great.. but I judged a book by its cover and turned the other way <XD

Right now I have a lot of shows that I’m too lazy to watch that I mean to get around to someday. I guess for the sake of the story I’ll have to add Transformers animated to the list and give it the shot it deserves. :}

@mysteriousl0ser Roxy only got put up on stage after Bonnie was decommissioned, yes.

When Foxy was taken, the Band took a hit without their Keytar player. But the company hadn’t thought to put the other animatronics on stage in his place. Mostly because Monty/Roxy wouldn’t have really fit into the group..

But when Bonnie was damaged? Now they were down their Keytar player and their Bass player. So at that point they really needed to rebuild the band for that nights show so they tossed Monty and Roxy on the stage in their places.. <:/

As for how long the gap was between Foxy and Bonnie’s decommissions? That part of the timeline hasn’t been fully ironed out yet.. but I’d say about maybe 4 months to a year? It was supposed to feel like when the animatronics were finally starting to get back up on their feet and began to process Foxy’s death.. Bonnie was unexpectedly taken too. Knocking them all back down again..
