On August 9 in 1973, Reiko Yukawa and her husband married in Las Vegas and had requested Elvis to be a witness at their private wedding. She explained that this request was rejected by Colonel Parker, but they were allowed to meet him backstage. When they met, she personally asked Elvis the same thing and Elvis accepted to be her witness. After signing the papers and giving him the Gold Record, Reiko Yukawa went ahead and asked Elvis one last thing, a very special wedding gift; a kiss! Elvis turned to her husband and asked him if it was okay to kiss his wife, to which he nervously replied “Of course, of course!”
On January 8, 1935 the king of Rock and Roll was born. There's no amout of word that expressss my love for his music. It got me through some rough times and his story and Legacy will always be one of my favorites. I don't care what the music industry looks like right now, in my eyes he's still the king of Rock n Roll.
I love Elvis Presley! What a presence....what a voice...what a face! What's your favorite Elvis era? 50's, 60's, or 70's? How about 'all of the above'!
