(n) - a person who fights or argues for a cause or on behalf of someone else
(v) - support the cause of; defend — "I don't want these powers. They're too much."
Reigen said he would bear any burden too big for Mob.
Standing next to Reigen at the moment was like trying to walk parallel to the shore while the tide beating away at him. It was nauseating, the smell of tobacco and melting plastic. It left Teru feeling battered and bruised, psychically sore.
He had to soldier on, however. If not for little brother, then for Kageyama.
If Claw had Ritsu then...
(A car and some men. They have scars on their faces. They have colors too. They talk like Teru is a find, like he's special—of course Teru is special, mommy and daddy say Teru is the specialist little boy in the world—but they mean it wrong. One of the men—Teru can't remember much but he knows this man had a mustache—uses his red to hold Teru in place. The mustache man talks to the other man about breaking him. He talks about how Teru will never go home, that Claw will be his home. He wants his mommy but his mommy isn't special and she isn't here, so Teru has to save himself.)
(He always has to save himself.)
Teru shook that thought off, focusing on the thread of power that had touched the Scars holding Ritsu hostage. He couldn't get lost in the mire of his own mind, he had to be present. He had to be useful.
He had to make sure little brother didn't have to save himself.
"Are you sure you don't want my shoes?" It was the third time Reigen had broached the subject.
"No thank you." It was the third time that Kageyama refused him.
Reigen sighed and a wave of power nearly bowled Teru over. Regret, an argument, a shattered photo of a family. "Okay. Just...be careful where you step. Injuring your feet can be very dangerous if left untreated. Make sure you wash off when you get home."
When, not if.
(The sentiment was not echoed in Reigen's aura. Embers burning holes in sleeves. A sharp, acrid, smoke-filled inhale that degrades into a coughing fit. A sword in his back, a rock on his chest, sinking beneath the waves.)
"We'll be there soon. I'll try and take us through grass to help with that," Teru offered.
"Thank you, Hanazawa." Kageyama's praise filled Teru with a bubbly warmth that contradicted the icy fear that was driving all of them.
"Of course." Why wouldn't he help? Kageyama was the reason he had stopped his delusional rampage. Reigen was why Kageyama was the way he was. Little brother was new, barely used to his powers, and for all he and Teru butted heads, he was younger than Teru. He was a kid. Teru couldn't say no. He shouldn't say no.
The endless sea of Reigen's aura washed against Teru, pounding his shoreline to dust. When he exhaled, he swore his breath glittered with glass and regret. The tether he had to the Claw members' auras fractured and warped, its ripple being consumed by the kaleidoscope of Reigen's green and pink. He was worried. He was furious. He was ashamed.
"It won't be as bad as you're thinking." Both Reigen and Kageyama stared at Teru. He flushed slightly beneath their gaze. "I mean, when we find little brother. Claw isn't going to hurt him. They can't afford it."
been seeing homies get deep into "the terror" and making me want to rewatch SO i spent two hours in the dead of night reading the wiki/the subreddit/other linked articles and like. one of those articles was deadass fucked up
there was a woman who spoke inuktitut who was writing a book containing a lot of inuit oral histories, and in nunavut she was able to hear passed-down recollections of when survivors from the franklin expedition were passing through
and like. i can't imagine being an inuit family/group, knowing that europeans exist but having never seen them, seeing 8-9 shambling, blue-skinned, cold-to-the-touch out-of-their-minds white men come wandering by. they invited the men inside their igloos for warmth, for food, to be hospitable. the men refused to eat, refused to speak, and when trade was offered, clutched their possessions close and refused to entertain the idea of trade. this was, offputting, to say the least. the group set them up in their own igloo, with their own fire, and left three whole seals for them to eat. and then they fled cause what the FUCK get out of there. they came back in a few days to check on the strangers. the three seals were completely untouched, while all of the men had killed and eaten each other
i mean. fuck dude. there are obviously pretty dark angles to view the franklin expedition from– honestly can't think of a good angle, it's pure colonialism and british exceptionalism– but that specific interaction, that inuit group who were living lives as normal until a dozen fucking walking dead showed up and did cannibalism. no wonder that story got passed down, i'd be shitting my pants if i saw that
Tyre Nichol’s mother has set up a memorial fund to help pay for mental health services for his family and a memorial skate park in his name. If you cannot donate, please share.
Do you guys notice how when Shawn Fain, president of the United Auto Workers union, started planning a general strike, he did it by a) targeting his messaging towards unions with the ability to safely and effectively strike in large numbers, b) laid out a clear, actionable plan for those unions to follow (setting contracts to all expire at the same time, since many unions cannot strike while under contract), c) is using union contracts to set clear, actionable demands that can be met in order to gauge success and provide an end goal, and d) started organizing FOUR YEARS before the proposed strike date to give people the chance to plan accordingly, because it takes a really freaking long time to get tens of millions of people organized?
You notice how he didn't do it by slapping a message on Twitter saying 'hey nobody go to work on Monday, that'll really show 'em'?

You know what I hate about the internet? Sometimes people will just lazily slap a “citation” on an infographic and trust that they’ll be completely taken at their word and nobody is going to dig deeper. And it works all the time. As an example, please look at this photo someone posted to dispute my assertion that garlic can be toxic to dogs.
Okay well, kind of a pain to manually type in that link but obviously I am going to look into this study that is confident enough to recommend people feeding their dogs garlic. So here’s the article, kind of a weird journal choice for this graphic to reference from but looks like a legit (though 20 year old) study
Funny thing is, almost immediately this article acknowledges that garlic can indeed be toxic to dogs. The health benefits mentioned in the graphic are referring to human health, not canine. This section is literally in the introduction of the article and one of the first things you read. Emphasis here is mine.
Crazy to me that someone would imply that this article encourages giving dogs garlic when it in fact immediately asserts that doing so has the potential to cause hemolytic anemia. The article does explore the anti-thrombotic effects of garlic components in dogs and humans, but by no means does it say that “contrary to misconceptions garlic is safe for pets”. It is dishonest to assert this in an infographic. However the creator of the image correctly assumed nobody would check, because the person who posted it took it as fact without further investigation.
I am begging you to be skeptical. Check your sources. Check their sources. Check my sources. Learn how to dig deeper and exercise that muscle as much as you can, especially on the internet. You will be absolutely shocked how much misinformation is casually stated and received as pure fact.

i take great interest in geography-related games and sometimes i open google maps and zoom into locations to help better my knowledge. while looking around the middle east, i found the top photos. afterwards, i looked the location up only to find out it had been destroyed. i've stated that i do not like, nor do i plan to go into politics, (i am quite young and feel that im not mature enough to fully understand them) but i really felt that i had to share this
Yes THIS but since Rauru has the exact same energy as my literal dad he would consistently replace Link’s name with another random four-letter word that starts with L and be completely serious about it every time, LIKE SO:
