ough toshiro is speedrunning his way to being one of my fav characters. He's so autistic and terrible at expressing himself and comes from a high context "saying no is extremely rude" culture. He is a foreigner. He withdraws when he's overwhelmed because he can't express articulately his needs. The most selfish thing he ever did was ask his family to try and rescue falin with him. He respects laios so damn much, and had a hard time telling laios to back off cause he didnt want to be rude to someone he sees as so sincere. He's dedicated and hard working to a fault. That dedication and respect is how he says "i love you." I want this man to be fed and happy.

I still have those feelings too. Even to this day.
What do you mean?
I couldn't answer last time. So I'm doing it right now. Of course I do. What kind of lunatic remembers and cares about someone she's uninterested in for fifteen years?
Why are you telling me this right now?
Because this is the best timing! It won't sound as sincere if I say it after the results. No matter what the ruling may be, I won't give up on you. That's all you need to know.
I might have to serve time.
I don't care.
I could lose everything.
Did you forget? I said fifteen years ago that I'd take care of you. I"ll stay strong so be honest and tell the prosecutor everything you want to say.

the borgias truly went off in 2.10 'the confession'. specifically, where devastated rodrigo buries juan with his own hands, being intercut with everyone happy and celebrating lucrezia's betrothal, and being perfectly juxtaposed with dark and light. we get to see how rodrigo always saw juan while carrying his body (and that's probably how he sees all his children) as an innocent little kid instead of a broken soul. which was one of the most touching and well-crafted scenes that have ever aired on tv btw!! the whole sequence is also backed by a moving piece of tragic music that matches how guilty rodrigo feels about making the family hate juan by pressuring his inadequacy, making him full of misguided notions of defending the family's honor that led him to go wild. and setting him up to be envied by cesare. the murder made rodrigo reflect, and the viewers can tell that he has never told his eldest son that he sees himself when he looks at cesare, and that he has always held him in high regard but with a different dream and vision for him, despite cesare's wrong assumption that juan was rodrigo's favorite. and all because he always had a self-loath. to accept cesare as his favorite, he has to accept himself first. plus the cliffhanger? peak cinema imo.

Underrated af
One of the major driving points of the entire show are Alucard's complex relationships with each of them

Just rewatched all of atla bc of the new Netflix atla buzz (both excited and not eeeee) and I have thoughts on future kataang, having looked into whether to read the comics or not - I wish they'd left Aang to be SHORTER! Am I the only one that can't see the connection between the adult Aang drawings to child Aang? Yes, of course he has to mature but he loses all his cheeky open face and you don't have to be taller to be older, neither do you have to be taller than your girlfriend. Like he has short king energy, let him LIVE!

Gonna send you THREE asks cause I love hearing your thoughts about everything.
Anyway unpopular Mario fandom meme: Which character is not as morally good as everyone else seems to think?
I know a lot of fanworks treat Kamek as that kind, reasonable adoptive father to Bowser and don't get me wrong, I think he's Bowser's most loyal henchman...to the point of fanaticism, and he has zero issues with making other people suffer if it serves his king.
And even that could be discussed : I always see in a sinister light the way Bowser, as a baby, is locked in a room full of toys away from any other kid to socialize with, is horribly spoiled and groomed into a little tyrant, and Kamek doesn't hesitate to use magic on his infant king to turn him into a weapon of massive destruction.
Plus, I think people underestimate how incredibly petty and bitchy he can be, and how fun that makes him.

I just caught up on the new eps of maws and WHO WAS GOING TO TELL ME THEY ADAPTED THE GAY FRENCH APE AND HIS GAY FRENCH DISEMBODIED BRAIN LOVER
I do think this is peak representation in fact every bizarre bit of (usually somewhat problematic) rep that doom patrol comics ever put out is peak representation let us not forget coagula the lesbian trans programmer/prostitute who got her powers by having sex with the weirdest most questionable intersex space entity in the midst of a mental crisis ever what an icon.
but in all seriousness I actually really enjoy how obvious it is that the ppl making maws actually care about comics and stuff, and how much they embrace the fun and wholesome and campy parts of dc. like who else would have the courage to adapt the brain and monsieur mallah like this? NOBODY is who
anyways this is all to say get fucked boring grimdark power fantasy dccu
