I really don't care about whatever someone ships or doesn't & I do believe you that it's not meant shippy & I think that's fine, because it's fiction so you can make up a bond between whoever you like however you like. But that goes for everyone else alike.

Art will be interpreted as soon as you look at it not after digging for the artist's own opinion, so I can't say I'm surprised that people look at it and think it's shippy first. Sure, some were annoying about it I grant you that, but I think it's because it simply comes of hypocritical to act like a ship interpretation is nuts when the art simply does look like that on first glance.

The average MP100 viewer will not interpret a familial bond between these two characters who canonically barely interacted, but you did. (& more power to you) Maybe your average follower will not interpret a romantic implication in your artworks, but others will. (& more power to them)

I really don't think people lack parental love to see it shippy, I think people simply expect parental love between, well, a parent and their child. Not someone you personally declared to be a "weird uncle" to a girl he barely knows. I didn't even want good night kisses from my actual "weird uncle" as a kid idk man.

Again, I don't see the slightest issue with the platonic relationship you make up for them. I just also get where the romantic interpretations are coming from.

Your uncle/niece interpretation sincerely is farther removed from canon than ship interpretations are from your artworks.

Interesting message so I'll answer this genuinely.

To start off: I Never once implied that it was crazy that other people would interpret this as romantic at first glance. I quite literally said that I understood the confusion because these two barely interacted in canon. Which is why Im always happy to explain my intentions. Experiences vary so what one considers normal may not be normal to someone else: I'm very much aware of this but y'all clearly aren't.

When it gets to the point where people say "this artist drew that AND said it wasn't shipping even though we can obviously tell theyre delusional and in denial", that's where the problem is. I provide an explanation, that explanation gets ignored, people either answer "lmao just admit it" or they treat me as if I'm the worst person alive and they refuse to accept they must've been wrong about their interpretations. They proceed to openly "discuss" this (by just mocking me repeatedly, nothing constructive) in a public space where they think I can't see it almost as if they forget I'm an actual person who can come across these messages at any time.

What others ship or don't ship is none of my concern, I stay away from circles I dislike. But when people constantly attempt to force me into "admitting" I'm into something that I have zero interest in out of malicious intent, then naturally it'll annoy me.

I'm sure you didn't really mean to imply that I was merely outraged at the thought of someone interpreting this as romantic if they didnt know every single thing about my headcanons which is why I'm answering you sincerely. So please forgive me for assuming the ones who compared a peck on the cheek to some nonsense like "platonic breastfeeding" have never experienced any sort of familial love growing up 💜

since i've spent the past few days essentially staring at nothing but natsuyuu volume covers i thought it'd be so fun and silly to try and redraw them all from memory tee hee. all 30 (thirty) (三十) of them!!! wheee!!!!

i haven't actually looked at them next to the originals yet so guess what time it is!!!! LET'S COMPARE

starting with volume 1. iconic. show stopping. masterpiece. the mona lisa of natsuyuu SURELY i reproduced every single detail perfectly such that it kickstarts my career as a forgery artist RIGHT

forgor the flowers tho. i literally forget everything that isn't a character like immediately BUT OK CUT ME SOME SLACK like after a point the covers start being whole ass scenes which are SO much easier to remember shit abt than the fuckin Green Void (p sure this is the last green void cover tho)

8/10 composition is gr8 but details like the shirt & the yellow flowers are wrong, also the stick is backwards. i literally looked up what that thing is called and forgot already tee hee

[totk] loose ends

the devs said no dlc but theres sooo much stuff in the game thats just not even addressed like i get it its a huge game but they could at least say something thats not just "idk lmao"... who knows maybe creating a champion 2 will be real

anyways spoilers but mainly for totk

starting off on the surface there's the shape of the Gerudo highlands—no explanation for why its in the shape of one of the heroine statues

Misko is never really given an explanation either... what's the far off land they talk about regarding the treasures ?? how did they get the treasure into locations practically only accessible by link??

the Palmorae Ruins/Garini... he is literally just reduced to a shopkeeper in totk but wtf is up with that medallion... I think it is straight up gone in totk but even the doors back there... the other doors in botw opened up to a shrine/skeleton so why do these specific ones not open... and why was Garini able to help unlock the shrine in botw who is that man

ancient altar ruins, prison, other sinkhole caves/ruins littering the desert? this one is pretty minor and granted ive not really looked into the altar ruins but even with all the other ruins all over the desert like what are those even supposed to be

dragon skeletons/misc bones how did the one in Gerudo MOVE?? and how did the one in Hebra get stuck in there? there was a whole questline for this in botw with the different shaped heads and even another one in totk for the Gerudo one's baby/fixing the other two's bones/eyeball and its just left there are what even are those things and why do they just not explain them... plus i guess the ones in Eldin make some sense since there is a big one but the ones in Lanaryu?? i mean it did use to be a desert but there is nothing in the game regarding those bones... and also the skulls for the monsters like what are those and the bony rock around skull lake/ibara butte lake of horse god region/breach of demise like what even is that and WHY

Zonai ruins... im so sorry i post about this so much but aside from just the area labeled "Zonai Ruins" they do not talk about them at all in game... theres roads and like a graveyard and other various structures all over the jungle and even underground

Zonai ruins out of Faron... no explanation on the ones all over the Tabantha/Hebra region's caves... i mean at least the one door for the shrine you had to knock down was turned into a cave and the other two (that i know of) had a questline but whats up with the ones in the canyon? under Kakariko too like what's up with that?? Hyrule Ridge also like the thunder part from totk is tied to a sheikha shrine and they don't talk about it in totk (the balls) and Thyplo too i guess because they never talked about why it was covered in dark... but ig that was something to do with the Zonai since some shrines do that too... and the Zonai towers like what even are those

random Hylian ruins everywhere—they all have this weird shell crest thing on them (i do not have a picture right now but these are the stone ones not the wooden ones) and they were in botw too like reaching all the way to Eventide Island like are you seriously telling me the calamity reached the island?? why are they all broken down

why isn't Lake Kilsie frozen

Ankel/Tingel/other islands off of Sokkala/Upland Zorana... those islands are just not real to me at all like why are they so high up... were they manmade??

this one is also kind of minor but the descriptions for the labyrinths make no sense like who is talking to you (lord of owls/dragons/boars(?)

the people Josha talks about in the mural (statues)... you can see a Zonai in it and the trail of statues and Zonai look NOTHING alike you cannot convince me those are Zonai or even made by Zonai

the flowers in the water at Skull Lake and around Malanya Spring like ok this is also really small but why do they do that

giant tree stumps like they just do not even talk about those even though theyre all over central Hyrule

ancient Hylian ruins—the major reigons for these are Akkala and Tabantha... ik the creating a champion did talk about this but they did not really explain it or what they were... speaking of in Akkala there are Zonai ruins WITH the Hylian ones especially in the Tarrey Town/wetland area like what's up with that

owl/boar/dragon statues... the dragons are super present in totk yes but what is up with the owl and boar... the owl esp appears all over the Hebra caves

the horned statue thing that exchanges hearts/stamina for money... how does it move around and actually how does this work

I think that's it for the surface so for the depths theres also several things...

the Gerudo Underground Cemetery?? who was buried there and why not on the surface?? like i'm pretty sure it's right under Arbiter's Grounds...

coliseums?? there are a lot of them and I think they do correspond with locations on the surface but what was the reason for them being built??

ascend points—they pop up in mostly seemingly random locations... the one that made sense was the Akkala lab which overlooks the big maze island but the others pretty much take you to the middle of nowhere plus why does it have it's own music?? they have nothing to do with the story or anything aside from that one in Korok grove

lakes/secret spring of revival... tbh actually this is theorizing but i guess that the depths were under water at one point especially with that weird barnacle pattern all over the ground and that would have left water in deep areas but that does not explain where this water would have went or why the spring of revival is heated

general landscape of the area... its an inverse of the map but only of the current map... the one in the Forgotten Temple shows the central Hyrule region was a lake but there's not really a large area of ceiling high cliffs there... and also the dueling peaks have the river going through them as cliffs even though the ancient peak was just one... how do cliffs disappear/appear??

gorondia—is it the fire temple or what?? or was it just not even real

gleeok den: do the gleeoks just come from the depths?? is the king Gleeok down there like the mother of all Gleeoks?? and whats with the statues of the four races down there also??

speaking of statues there's not one for Hylians which ok ig they did not do anything useful but also they just do not match the style of every other Zonai building down there

bargainer statues?? again they do not look Zonai, they look like the statues that lead you to mines and they're always under goddess statues... are there more to be recovered because the one at lookout landing does not seem to have a goddess statue with it... plus the bigger they are the more limbs they seem to have like the big one under the Forgotten Temple has hands and feet (granted with like 3 fingers) plus they can give out hearts?? like seeing that actually what are the goddess statues doing with your shrine balls where do they take them?? and what is the afterlife where do these statues take the poes... plus why do their eyes glow the same color as the ancient energy...

ancient underground fortress/ancient observation deck?? theres no cities or anything that really needs defense down there so why is there a whole fort down there... and the observation deck is literally like a random structure but ig it makes sense since it watches over the heart

blupee den... how did they get down there

the bosses down there like why are they down there and why are there MULTIPLE of them + what are the flux constructs guarding

great skeletons... while under the ones on the surface they are not the same creatures... i've seen theories that are like "this is a dragon and the gloom hands ate them" which makes sense bc the skeletons are about as long as Naydra but who were these three?? were they unique to the depths or something and also if they were flying how would the gloom hands reach them

trees?? theres big tree stumps in some groves like what are those but also the smaller trees look more like coral than trees and don't even drop wood when you cut them... i mean ig they do work since the Yiga seem to use them but regardless I think they refer to them as "trees" so what even are they

Akkala House of Bones... what and why

ok i think that is all for the depths so now onto the sky

the islands... i get that most of them were raised from the depths but how come none of the rock on these islands looks anything like the rock from the depths??

dive ceremony... could the Zonai fly or something?? i mean i don't think we ever saw Rauru fly or anything actually how would they even get up there in the first place... plus were the islands in the sky before Ganondorf was a thing since they did raise the Temple to protect it or was it over many years or were the constructs lying

islands specific to Gleeoks/Constructs... why are they just there like I get they protect the soul pieces but are gleeoks not evil/made of malice since they have the eye or have they just been around before Ganondorf made all the Other Monsters (moblins/bokoblins/etc)

just the style differences between the Water and Wind Temples and normal islands...what is up with that...

also why are there no zonai cities or anything?? where did they live?? like even though the two of them were the last two left there had to have been others right??

Bit random, but what do you think of the whole rivalry thing (hard to call it a rivalry when 90% of it is Christian being a Jack Russell terrier to Toto in his own words (literally said this on camera in DTS btw which is so funny to me) between Toto and Christian?

i could write an actual essay about this omg

the first thing to note is that whilst on paper toto is the more successful team principal, i am of the opinion (begrudgingly) that christian is better at his job, lol. that being said:

toto and christian are the longest standing TPs on the grid right now, and its not even close. every other team within the last two years has had a team principal change, and three of those are for the upcoming 2024 season (haas, sauber, alpha tauri). wolff has been in since 2013, horner since 2005 (INSANITY.) Even vassuer, if you count his time at sauber, has only been on the grid as a TP since 2017.

the reason i say christian is better at his job is because christian has built RBR from nothing: wolff inherited a relatively successful operation from Braun GP/mercedes. With both prinicipals' longevity in the sport, it makes perfect sense that the fans and drivers alike rcognise their influence on the sport and their talent, thus more media attention to their management, and to their teams, who are the leading teams anyway in recent decades: RBR from 2010-13, merc from 14-20 and now back to RBR again. which, of course, makes for high stakes in the battle with each other (ferrari was merc's closest competitor during the dominant era, but RBR was still winning races with verstappen and ricciardo).

then, their demeanours play off each other well. both of them are not above playing dirty to get what they want, and its brilliant. toto's typical sort of austrian nonchalance paired with christian's smarmy brand of britishness is fab to watch, but they also definitely play it up for the media to some extent. its all about pressure: in the media, on the track, to the drivers, you get it. theyre always trying to push each other to admit something that they dont want to admit, whether it be a weakness or a cheating scandal. but they're also willing to team up against a common enemy (an illegal engine circa 2019 comes to mind).

they take digs at each other not for the sake of it, but to create headlines, which create pressure, which translates to track results. but, of course, mercedes and red bull can handle pressure in immense degrees. so it becomes this big thing.

im not going into 2021. im not doing it. but thn you obviously have lewis and max, probably the two best drivers of this generation, and both team principals have a long history with these drivers. christian has known max since he was a teenager, lewis has been linked with mercedes thru ron dennis since karting. and they would do anything to see their drivers get success that they think they deserve. (rip george russell, you'll have ur time when lewis retires). its rare, in f1, really, to see drivers stay at the same team for that long. max has been in rbr for almost a decade (not including his stint in toro rosso) and hamilton will be going into his twelvth year in merc in 2024. in the same time period, ricciardo has been thru four teams, sainz three teams, alonso four (if you count alpine/renault as seperate). so theres a loyalty there to their top drivers.

anyway. im not a merc or a rbr fan (forza ferrari siempre) but toto and christian are undoubtedly the greats of the paddock - their success is insane. and just like in the sphere of the drivers, naturally when there are two great personalities so close in performance at the top of the field, they're going to be pitted against each other, but they definitely lean into it a bit.

edit: dts often does christian a little bit dirty imo. hes hypocritical and annyoing, but that, in a way, is his job, and hes really fucking good at it. hes also a lot more competent than the show puts out, and equally agrees to film more than toto does so the viewpoint is somewhat biased.

ive been saying for YEARS that this fucker is a bigger deal than just he hee minor miniboss turned neutrally aligned friendly rival on the fatui harbinger gauntlet. ive been coping ive been starving seeing him get literally no relevance or new abyss lore for years as fanon butchered his character beyond recognition. but i knew. i knew they werent putting those lore breadcrumbs in there for nothing and like. im trying not to lose my mind just yet its still highly suspect claims but. itd make so much sense. itd explain everything.

the oratrice was not wrong. if the primordial anti-french bathwater is connected to the whale all along its no wonder it deemed childe guilty as the one with 'its' traces remaining on him all this time especially as the latent yet-untapped power resulting from that past encounter has clearly begun to surface. theyre registering as one and the same to the oratrice. and for the whale to end up as a weekly boss its Very clear theres an explicit link there.

and like? if the whales been behind fontaines rising sea levels and tied to the primordial water all this time lurking somewhere just underneath the nation of hydro im just. was childes instinct to come to fontaine specifically due to his worsening mood rly much coincidence at all or was 'it' beginning to call for him due to sensing that hed soon be ready to awaken his potential? his stories suggest quite clearly that this was what happened when ajax was 14 as well - the abyss called to him as did he to it, frustrated as he was with his ordinary life, seeking the potential he had within. ready to nurture his trouble-mongering nature into a true force of chaos and a nexus of strife. isnt this just the same thing all over again?

and the celestial star-cruising whale is his constellation. that kind of link isnt giving me a "chance encounter you happen to get latent powers from". and for skirk to explicitly state that awakening 'it' was a feat unheard of before ajax. that no one had ever done it before. theyre deeply intertwined if not outright the same entity on some cosmic level - just different incarnations somehow. shits getting Real and i fucking knew there was something up YEARS ago

anyway hooooly shit i am going to fucking lose it i really really hope its real. and like sure sure knowing its coming is technically a spoiler but also not really? bc now its just the how and why and when. is skirk going to finally show up? is childe going to summon 'it' either on accident or on purpose? would he utilize the imminent threat the whales presence poses to force both furina and neuvillette into emergency mode given how abyssal creatures are literally kryptonite for dragons and celestia-approved divine beings alike? is that why traveler ends up having to face it instead? bc those 2 would literally get irreversibly corroded by the abyss from one hit?

alternatively, will childe want to fight it? bc ppl dont talk about this for some reason but hes always had a voiceline about what we now know 100% was 'it' and bro genuinely wants to go back to the abyss full send just to throw hands with the whale to prove hes surpassed the past terror that gripped him upon their first encounter and that hes overtaken it with his own power. which with the new lore drops of their deep connection definitely isnt giving childe replacing and becoming the new incarnation of the abyssal star-whale at all nuh-uh. surely. (i want it so bad)

anyway. holy shit. heres hoping this doesnt just age like shit DUFYDUGHFGDJSHDK i really want an AQ final fight thats not just harbinger of the week for the 4th time in a row. theyre fun and all and like yeah arguably childes ties to it kinda make it a harbinger fight but also not? bc this is about his abyssal links nothing to do with being in the fatui. and its the whale anyway not him per say

anyway heres hoping we get that 3rd final boss fight to the death with him in the celestia arc for once and for all when hes finally reached his peak. first we fight him at his incomplete level in liyue. then his abyssal whale. then 3rd time him in his final form thank youuu

but like. still emphasizing. this is NOT reliable leaks or confirmed yet so hold your horses. very sussy whisperings from some ppl who do have somewhat of a truthful track record but nothing concrete. i just went insane enough with the very idea that my brain made me type this madness out regardless

The difference between villager and illager society is fascinating to me btw because like. Yeah yeah there are endless emerald jokes with villagers but overall they dont seem to value it all that much? Sure they'll trade you goods for shiny stones, but overall they share essentials like food and shelter with each other without any need for monetization or capital. I saw a post somewhere that spoke about how villagers live in an anarchist society and I personally think thats the best way to describe it. Nothing in the village builds suggest that they keep their emeralds stashed up either, theyre all very modest settlements and are highly self-reliant (given that theres no need for trade amongst/between villages save for the occasional wandering trader walking into town with their pockets of assorted goodies and llamas on leads).

Illagers however? They definitely have some form of hierarchy going on there, and an emphasis on riches and plundering that Villagers dont have. They literally have mansions with wool statues dedicated to cats and illagers alike, with full blocks of lapis embedded in them. In one (secret) room they even have lava, obsidian and a full diamond block! The different types of rooms such as jail cells, tree gardens, chest rooms and a strategy/war planning room suggests that theres different roles within the mansion that are filled by the vindicators and evokers in a probably similar fashion as a regular village (before the plager yknow, goes in and kills the mansion inhabitants). The outposts also suggests both that a lot of the illagers manpower goes towards exploration and raiding, as well as the fact that the mansions themselves arent able to be self-sustaining like villages and thus need outside supplies from the raiding parties that travel around looting unprotected travellers, stray villagers and wandering traders. Theres a hierarchy both in the Captain/Banner Illager behavior during raids and with raiding parties (with how any illager can pick up a banner and all others will follow roughly close behind), as well as the Evokers ability to control vexes and the overall illagers ability to control ravagers when they ride them.

i started pretending to have confidence in what i say. for example in school? my current school friend and i started hanging out bc i went up to them and went “hey, just wondering if u read the readings yet?” (and then we snowballed there teehee they did actually read it so thats cool as we were able to have a discussion about the topic but even when they didnt, i just end up steering the conversation to something ik we both know—the lecture! it was what started our friendship, but we also began to talk about other things until we were sharing our interests with each other!)

work? same thing! i start with work related topics (i work at a firm so it usually is always our clients hehehe) and then i’d invite them for coffee or lunch! im blessed to have coworkers close to my age which makes it a lot easier to poke on interests. i asked her if she’s seen this video on tiktok (it was something about that love surge couple i think) and she did so we were also able to expand our conversation out of work!

the highlight is that i bullshitted my confidence until it eventually started feeling normal :’)

im sorry that this isnt a sound advice :((

of course its still so important to stay true to yourself and im not telling u to be fake and to not be urself! but faking confidence i think is different bc, for me, its grappling with the hurdle (my anxiety) and training myself until im eventually used to it! im still not 100% the one taking the first step but when i do, im glad that i did :’)

4. What’s your favorite comic book friendship?

bwahh.........it has to go to bea and booster. ted and babs come close but the parallels are paralleling with those two and it drives me crazy everytime i think about it

one part in jla in particular i think to in regards to them being The Same Person is when boosters suit is broken and beas powers are gone so they both cant do stupidhero stuff and theyre both going a little crazy but beas like "wow boosters losing it. thats nothing like me though. (CUT TO BEA HOLDING HER BREATH AND TRYING TO DIE BECAUSE SHE CANT USE HER POWERS)

also their dual "YOU NOT ROCKIN WITH ME? IM GOING TO KILL MYSELF" moments when tora wanted to leave the league and ted wanted to stop being the blue beetle

theyre both..really clingy and dependent on their best friends. and that behavior is only magnified after they die

the two of them literally have synchronized mental illness moments. the way they both lose their blue color coded best friends who they were in love with that provided a balance to their lives that tips them to the point of having a really unhealthy crazy grief response (beas Whole Deal with sigrid and the way booster acts in 52)..a textual parallel is drawn here by bea herself

booster and bea both care too much despite having loved and lost and dealing heavily with feelings of being left alone and blaming themselves for it but they continue living to help others because they ARE GOOD PEOPLE!! AND THEYRE HEROES!! even though after losing tora and ted they both kind of drop the way they used to hero before (bea working for checkmate as a spy and booster protecting the time stream with his family from the shadows..they both have jobs now basically the opposite of the flashy spotlight roles they had in the league)

bea and booster are so alike i want to kill them. theyre best friends. theyre family. theyve known each other like 20 yrs and they havent interacted since like jl3000 CAN WE ALL DIEE

the question and ted would be nice. their teamup in bleeble 86 was so good i want them to hang out more. or even ever again. i dont think renee and ted have ever met but id like to see them teamup too someday

guy gardner....i did a complete turnaround on him through reading jli....hes my best friend now. my guy. and it was so unexpected too and i was so shy about it at some point i was reading and idk guy would do something and id think "what the. that was sort of cute. i cant tell ANYONE ABOUT THIS" ..he grew on me like a moss
