you think that it’s easy for other people to say,   that their version of doing might be cutting off a family member,   or some 𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚠 that you would catch out the corner of your eye at 2am the next time you ran.    your survival was bloodier,   crimson stained the cracks in your palms to never be wiped clean;   a mark of what you have to do to live.    [the world, vought, the woods— they would catch up to you eventually,  they seem to every time]     at times,   convinced you that you were indeed safer in the sanctuary they called the woods,     that it was ideal for you to become docile,   lose yourself in the endless expanse of trees that seemed to go on forever when the timing was right,    concoction of drugs they promised would make you feel alright.     that peace never came,   or at least it never lasted.

“you think so?”    like her words justified your actions,   like it made amends for all the guts and 𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚍.   you had to survive,   you did what you had to.   repeated it over and over in your mind until it sounded fake,   until mind twists like it always does:    YOU WANT A FORM OF REVENGE THAT YOU CANNOT HAVE.    you could burn the world to the ground and you would still not find yourself satiated from the thirst that grew in your throat.       “what if—      what if survival isn’t the goal anymore?”

I rlly rlly wanna. like at least have some lore down for life in Estea pre history. because it feels a bit strange to have the setting start off in Regency England when there was so so so much more goin on at the time. but. well do I wanna stick to our planet's irl timeline of how humans and our civilization started or do we want sexy raptor anthros? A fluffy black-and-white musk cat pauses beside a blooming red camellia on a late winter day, doing its best to ignore the agitated titmouse on a willow bough above him. Although not native to Japan, musk cats (jakōneko), or civets, were known in Japan through early Chinese paintings that were imported beginning in the 1200s. These nocturnal, feline mammals became a favorite subject of artists affiliated with the formidable Kano school, established in Kyoto in the late 1400s. A large square seal at lower right names the painter of thiswork as Uto Gyoshi, an obscure figure who is thought to have been affiliated with a satellite Kano studio in the eastern castle town of Odawara.
