I love the fact that its canon That rise donnie is the kinda like William afton of the rottmnt well He made Alberto and the other animatronics accidentally (except the part where he k*lled 5 children) and Fnaf the Whole franchise doesn't really exist in the rise universe.

I imagine Mutant mayhem who is probably a huge fnaf fan FREAKING OUT AND SCARED THAT RISE DONNIE HAS A WHOLE ANIMATRONICS AND STILL BUILDING MORE.

just so you know out of literally every tmnt iteration i am currently aware of, cartoon, comic, fan-made, etc... the idw are my favorite design for the turtles (they're round and i particularly love the way the idw comics specifically did the whole "subtle differences" thing) and then yours are a close second. they're so shaped. idk. the differences between them are so creative, like in terms of creativity yours are first place. they're just superior. one look at them and immediately i know what their deal is. also they're very cute. rise, 2012 and mm can be tied for 3rd as a treat idk i haven't really thought about it. but yeah love your designs mwah

this request was interesting because the way you described the reader is like really similar to a friend I have except she's not exactly goth it's more like alt/indie rock aesthetic but she literally collects so many bones (I love her sm fr she is just a fragile little creature)

also I appreciate the compliments!! I almost always have a problem with my works, so it's nice to know people still like it

Leo:

Leo likes your outfits, but he’s more impressed with how well you pull it off. All that black, yet you still wear it so well. He’s curious about how you do your makeup, so if he gets the chance, he’ll sit next to you and watch you do it.

One time he asked if you dressed like this to make you feel better about yourself. You simply replied no, just saying that you liked the style for how it looked. He was confused for a second, but he took that to heart.

Although he wasn’t the biggest fan of what you collected, he sure loved hearing you tell him all about your collections. Showing him different bones, which animals they came from, all the stories behind it. It was just so interesting to hear you talk about it.

Raph:

Raph loves your style. He can’t get enough of it. You just look so cool and careless, and he’s absolutely here for it. He insisted that you take him shopping at all the stores that you go to, because he really wants to try this style out. But, his final selling point was when he found out that people put spikes on clothes. From that day onward, he never went out looking the same ever again.

However, as much as he may have admired your taste in fashion, he didn’t have the same fondness for your hobbies. Okay, collecting is one thing. It’s cool to see all the different things people collect…but come on, does it really have to be dead things? Like…what about comic books? Or video games? Even rocks! But you choose to collect dead animals. Gross.

Mikey:

Mikey likes your outfits, but he thinks they lack a bit of…color. And variation. And…okay, maybe he’s not the biggest fan of your style. He doesn’t hate it, but he could never see himself in your clothes. Inversely to Raph, he’s the one to take you shopping to try out some new clothes. You always go with him, but every time, you end up picking your style over anything Mikey suggests. No offense to Mikey.

When Mikey heard about your collecting hobby, he was very intrigued. But once he learned what it was…he was less intrigued. It was certainly an interesting selection of items to collect, but not so much for him. But living in the sewers, you kinda find a lot of that stuff lying around, so sometimes he picks up a few things to give to you the next time he sees you.

Donnie:

Donnie absolutely adores your style. One of the main reasons why is that one of his favorite bands in the world dresses very similarly to how you do, so he pretty much just becomes a fangirl for your outfits.

Oftentimes he will send you pictures of celebrities or fictional characters he likes, asking if you can dress up like them. He gets very happy and excited when you respond with a picture of yourself in the outfit that he asked for.

But he wouldn’t just ask you to do that without giving anything back. So in return, he helps you expand your collection of weird dead things. He looked online for how to taxidermize at home, and started helping you make your own taxidermied animals. He didn’t have too much interest in things like that, but the process of taxidermying the animal was super fascinating to him, so it was cool for the both of you.

What was said in that post unfortunately seems pretty likely. Although there is always the possibility of rise coming back in some way even if its a small one. If the post is true then its still likely that we'll see the rise gang again possibly in the form of references like how every tmnt has references to the one that came before or even a crossover. Even then, the Rise fandom are making comics, animations/animatics, fanfics, fanart and a bunch of content to be consumed even if it isnt technically canonical and the 2012 fandom is still decently active based on what I've seen even though its pretty old.

That's true. The fandom will keep Rise going in one way or another. It's just sad to see it pushed off to the side just as it was coming into its own. It didn't deserve such an abrupt death. The Rise crew did an amazing job with the hand they were dealt, though; the Season 2 finale and the movie are both spectacular.

I would like to briefly digress. With the focus shifting toward Mutant Mayhem, I'm scared that I'm going to become just like the elitists who judged Rise without even giving it a proper look. I saw the concept art for the turtles in MM, and my gut reaction was along the lines of "Ew, what have they done to my boys?" I sneered at the comments calling it a "return to form" and an "example of what teenagers really look like." But that isn't right. I shouldn't be doing that. We all have different tastes as TMNT fans, and we need to respect that. And the movie isn't even out yet. It could end up being really good.

In any case, prepare for the worst but hope for the best. Brace for official news of Rise being canceled, but hope for a Rat King movie or a third season, however unlikely it may be. Hope that Mutant Mayhem delivers a high-quality experience. Hope that the TMNT fandom never loses its creative drive or its fervent passion for all things turtles.

My bro and sister-in-law went to Comic Con and got me these!

This one is a little card thing, but it's so cute! The second picture is the back of the card with the artist's name/info.

Anyway, the next thing they got me was the MM poster!

I'm so hyped about this one. I actually wanted this, and they got it for me without knowing that. They were even going to try and get it signed, but you needed a special pass to do that. That's fine, though! I'm happy with this.

The last big thing they got me was this!

I saw it and I was immediately in love. I have been a Donald fan for as long as I can remember, and I really enjoyed the reboot, so getting this was amazing (my family knows me so well, ahaha)! I really need to buy frames for all of these now.

A smaller gift they got me was also TMNT related. They got me a purple and red mask, lol. They tried to get the orange one because anyone who knows me knows Mikey is my favorite, but I think they were out. Sounds about right.

All in all, some awesome gifts. Maybe I should go to Comic Con next year.

as suppotive as i am for mm and want it to coexist w/ rise coming back, there's aspects of it that kinda worry me from what i've seen from it so far. one of them being leo's character, when the voice cast got announced every name is illustrated in a way that you immediately know something about the turtles' personality... but leo's was so... generic looking

the teaser didn't give much on him either and it just saddens. don't get me wrong, i love all versions of leo, but his character was always the least interesting to me cuz rarely does most iterations give him other personality traits aside from 'the responsible leader' and even when they do they barely focus on it, like how 2k12 made him kind of a goofy space show fanboy and that aspect of him isn't given enough attention.

it's just so... jarring going back to that after rise has given him so much personality, and one could argue that "well that's cuz he wasn't the leader in that iteration" and yeah, but that doesn't other iterations where he is still one can't do the same, esp when the idw comics gave their leo interesting character traits all while still having him be a leader, and that was before rise (btw i highly recommend the idw comics, their character writing is so good)

idk i'm hoping i'm just overthinking, cuz i want mm to succeed even w/ me wanting rise back, but i can't help but be worried cuz y'know... hollywood 😔
