The Rise of Skywalker song countdown: day 14 of 22

- 8 days left -

I’m back with another bendemption one today, wow how unpredictable hehe.

Our boy ben solo has gone through some serious shit he didn’t even have a choice for. He was fused to live his life on the dark side, abused and mistreated by his master. Experiencing no trust, just fear and doubt. no friendship, just competition and rivalry. No love, just hatred and anger.

He barely knows what his life’s was like before. It didn’t even look better then. His parents were busy, neglected him and their relationship went bad at the same time. He barely doesn’t knows what it was like to love and be loved. but somehow this tiny spark that is good inside ben solo, the part where he questions that system he is part of, wants to break out at the moment he met rey.

Because now he has something worth fighting for, someone who accepts him the way he is, but also sees behind that mask he put on to present his connection with the dark, because it is fading and rey sees that. Ben Solo has finally found someone that he can share that love with that he kept inside all of these years.

Rey won’t save him, but she started the process so he can redeem himself. And on the other side ben will be the one who saves rey from her being tempted by the dark. They will stand with each other, just like the visions in tlj told them.

I feel the title speaks for itself with this one, right? This song again has so much star wars vibes in it, i still can’t believe it. Just looking at this little spark of hope and rebellion against the dark reign of the first order that is the resistance and how they managed to rebuild themselves tho they were almost completely defeated makes me very sentimental. Also see how often the word “rise” is used here? And a move called “The Rise of Skywalker” ? Probably referring to Ben Solo? Just amazing, this song is so perfect for star wars. They also mention “love is the answer” quite a lot (which i didn’t add above) and then looking at our desperate soulmates makes me aware that Rey and Ben will probably be the reason the good ones are gonna win one and for all, that they will rise, all of them.
