Ticking Time for Two
Title: Ticking Time for Two Pairing: Kaji Akihiko/Murata Ugetsu Word count: 2872 Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Potential Trigger Warnings: None Summary:
The sound of the ticking clock kept ringing in his ears. Every second, it’s ticking, loud and bursting his eardrums. His head started to throb and the next thing he knew; the plastic cover of the clock had been cracked and shattered, the hand unmoving, and one of the beer cans was already on the floor and leaking out foam.
He didn’t need to be reminded every second of how time was slowly moving away from their simple happiness.
The sound of silence rang in his ears. But it was what he preferred.

Title: Overflowing Pairing: Kaji Akihiko/Murata Ugetsu Word count: 2108 Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Potential Trigger Warnings: None Summary:
When he did wake up earlier in the mornings, Ugetsu would pretend to be asleep for a few more minutes. Because Akihiko would be there. Quietly stroking his hair and kissing his ear, whispering words that he should only have said to a lover.

Or else it'd all be over..

Lingering touch as I burn to ashes
Title: Lingering touch as I burn to ashes Pairing: Kaji Akihiko/Murata Ugetsu Word count: 2247 Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Potential Trigger Warnings: None Summary:
Then on one winter day with the snow dancing as it falls to the ground on the outside, they stayed in that music room like usual. And as if Akihiko was struck by something, a sudden surge of emotions unexplained from the expression on his face.
He was held tight and he felt like his shoulders were about to crush under the strength of Akihiko’s embrace.
It burned.
It burned.
But he had known at that point. There’s no way he could pull away from his touch. He could never run from Akihiko. The way it burned his skin and opened him up, like he’s a meal to be served naked on a plate and Akihiko’s mouth were opened wide, ready to eat him whole.
His legs staggered and his arms shook on his side.
Hesitantly, hesitantly, he brought his hands up. Letting the fate tie a crimson red coloured string on his little finger to this man’s.

.
My Son Kei is a Sweet Boy
.
When Kei was nine, he came home with a little friend tagging behind him.
He was slightly tanned from playing under the sun and has messy brown hair. Both of his hands gripping tight on his black backpack and his face scrunched up like he really needed a toilet right then.
I’m home, Kei said with flushed cheeks and pursed lips.
Pardon the intrusion!, the little boy shouted in high octave.
It was the first time Kei invited a friend over, so she welcomed them in with the brightest smile she had. She quickly went to the kitchen to prepare juice and snacks.
The little boy introduced himself as Yamaguchi Tadashi, and just by looking at how small and pure little Tadashi is; she already loved him.

The Day That Starts With Us
fandom: persona 5
pairing: akira kurusu/makoto niijima
rating: teen and up audiences
tags: fluff, domestic fluff, living together, implied sexual content
word count: 1807
summary: "You can stare as much as you want." He peeks from the corner of his eyes, scrutinising the pale nape with the apron string across it. He approaches her from behind and hugs her, tilting his head to the side and ghosts over her nape with his mouth. "Can I do more than just stare then?"
i. morning routine
Unlike his girlfriend, Akira doesn't need an alarm to help him wake up every morning. When the clock strikes five, he would wake up on his own. His eyes would blink a few times, a scratch to his head then a big yawn follows.
And there he is, ready for another day.
Oh wait, maybe he's not exactly ready before snuggling his sleeping queen next to him.
Then he proceeds with picking up their clothes which are scattered on the floor; thanks to Makoto finishing work earlier yesterday and both of them craving intimacy. He gets himself clothed and puts Makoto's on the end table after neatly folding them.
Their wardrobe is his next destination, Makoto's ironed uniform needs to be hung on the wardrobe handle before he goes to the bathroom.
After that, warming up curry and preparing coffee for the cafe comes together with making bento box and healthy, balanced breakfast for the two. No curry!, Makoto keeps saying, because apparently having curry everyday doesn't sit well with her health regiment despite her understanding how delicious her boyfriend's curry is.
He rubs his chin and turns his head to the clock.
It's about time.
And so he sneaks back to their bedroom, to Makoto who seems to be still enjoying her dream. He'd love to let her sleep some more on her days off, but definitely not on the weekdays.
"Makoto," he whispers softly, "Wake up, my queen."
She blinks a few times before sitting upright with half lidded eyes. It's not exactly hard for both of them to wake up in the morning, the slightest text alert can even wake both of them up in the middle of the night. They couldn't count how many times they've both woken up in the middle of the night thanks to Mishima's hang out invitation to Akira. Now Akira has learnt to put his phone on silent at night, though.
"... Mmmrning..." Sleepiness does not escape her voice; it only makes it sound like she's mumbling in her sleep. A yawn escapes her as she walks slowly to the bathroom, eyes closed―vision is unneeded for navigation as she already has the layout of the room on the back of his head.
Akira loves mornings solely for this sight; sleepy Makoto, not awake enough to realise she is barely dressed, showing off the kiss marks he left last night, dragging her feet to the bathroom with her hair all tangled.

The Past Behind the Cell
fandom: persona 5
pairing: akira kurusu/makoto niijima
rating: general audiences
tags: spoilers for 8th palace event, hurt/comfort
word count: 1199
summary: Joker sees his parents there, it explains why they have changed so much that it scares him to contact them for the whole year.
It may be nothing. It may be just her imagination.
Joker has always been a quiet person, it is not something new. He's just leaning against the wall, catching his breath and relaxing his muscles. Their fight down the Mementos was not exactly short. Not to mention that Joker is always on the front line because he is the leader. That must have mean double toll and exhaustion.
It could be that he's just tired.
The mask is even hiding half of his face, making it even more impossible to discern his expression. But the way he's fiddling with his thumbs, the way he lost focus on the fights back there; they are enough to tell Queen there is something in his mind.
She decides to approach him slowly, gently putting her hand on his shoulder. And that's when she realises how tense he is.
When he turns over to her, she asks in low volume, "What's bothering you, Joker?"
A blink, then he's back with his confident smile. "Nothing."
"Don't," Queen tries to cut off his word, "Don't say it's nothing. Because I know it's not." Her eyes are piercing him behind her big mask, her tone is not letting him run away from her. But then her gaze softens and her grip tightens on his shoulder, "You don't have to tell me if you don't want. But if you just say nothing, that's just brushing me away without letting me getting involved in what you're thinking. I told you I want us to be equals, didn't I? I want to be there for you just like you have for me."
His smile disappears and he returns his gaze to the floor. He takes deep and sudden breath several times, wanting to say something but keeps it under his tongue. Opening up is not easy, that is what Queen understands. So she won't push him, as long as he doesn't just brush her away.
Her hands are back crossing in front of her chest, she stays beside him quietly without making any kind of physical contact; not wanting to break into his personal space when he seems to need it.
"... My parents..."
The sudden murmur catches Queen off guard, but she is there to listen. "Your parents?" she confirms, isn't too sure with what she heard just now.
Joker nods, "My parents. They were there."
"There? You mean―"
"Behind the cell. I saw them."

Coming Home
fandom: persona 5
pairing: akira kurusu/makoto niijima
rating: teen and up audiences
tags: fluff, domestic fluff, domestic, kissing, sets a year after the end of the game
word count: 1906
summary: They are both the same. They have been apart for a long time now, and they don't want to leave yet. The time just never seems to be enough for them to spend together.
"Is coffee really not up to your taste, Makoto?"
The question breaks her focus from her book; Makoto looks up to meet her friend's curious look. "What?"
Her friend taps the table with her perfectly manicured fingers, eyeing the cups they ordered just a moment ago. She points at Makoto's cup, "Tea. It's always tea. Or are you just a tea person?"
"Well," Makoto puts down the pen and tucks her hair behind her ear, "I do love coffee, though. Do I really never drink them?"
"Not since you started hanging out with us at least," her other friend added. His eyes never leave his phone as he continues, "Or do you just have your personal favourite coffee shop and don't want to drink from other place anymore?"
Makoto chuckles lightly, "Maybe... that could be the case. There's this café by the name of Leblanc near Yongen Jaya station."
"Leblanc? How come you never bring us there?"
"It's quite far from here. But maybe someday if you really want to go"
"That's a promise!"
To be honest, Makoto hasn't been visiting Leblanc either. It's just on occasions like gathering with the ex Phantom Thieves members. First, she is not a big coffee critic. And second, coffee reminds her too much of a certain frizzy haired young man.
He used to smell of coffee; seeing how he was surrounded by coffee beans all day. And she also knows he enjoyed serving coffee; his delighted face whenever people complimented the coffee he brewed.
Book and coffee dates in the attic were also quite frequent. And of course his lips would taste of the same bitterness.

Calm and Cool Manner Collapses
fandom: persona 5
pairing: akira kurusu/makoto niijima
rating: teen and up audiences
tags: fluff, kissing, first kiss
word count: 796
summary: Akira is not always his cool and collected self. There are moments he is also nervous, and Makoto enjoys seeing her flustered boyfriend.
(So, it seems he wasn't lying.)
She inhales as her nose bumps against his again. And with how close they are, she can feel the warmth of his breath brushing her cheek. His hand has stopped awkwardly on her shoulder, either wanting to grip on her or just settling it there.
It's as if he forgot it was even there.
Opening her eyes a bit, she is met with Akira's long eyelashes fluttering against his flushed cheek.
(Even though he seems calm and collected, teases her sometimes, and even has that confident smirk; he really is nervous about this whole thing just like her.)
A content hum escapes her after knowing that fact, but that probably sounds more lewd given the situation they're in. Akira's breath even hitches at that moment, further proving it.
It is fun, seeing this different side of Akira. Makoto slips out her tongue and brushes it on Akira's lower lip.
"Hng... wait, Makoto―"
Akira pulls back hastily and tries to hide his flushed face with his palm, but Makoto manages to catch the sight of his slightly swollen lips for a moment. His frizzy hair sticks to his temple with his eyes opened wide hiding under the dark fringe. The way he tries his best to catch his breath is way too adorable.
This is truly a rare sight. Too preoccupied by it, Makoto almost forgets how embarrassing her action just now.

Anxiety and Comfort
fandom: yuri!!! on ice
pairing: victor nikiforov/katsuki yuuri
rating: teen and up audiences
genre: angst, hurt/comfort
word count: 3127
warning(s): description of anxiety attack, spoilers for episode 11 and 12
summary: Victor is kind, too kind. He never hears Victor raises his voice and gets mad over things. Even when he is mad, he puts up a smile so not to inconvenience anyone. That's why Yuuri has to be the one who ends this. Because he knows Victor will never say it. Because Victor is too kind.
When Yuuri wakes up the next day after their fight, the room is empty and still. The sound of the heater blowing softly and bed's creaking are the only audible sound. He tries to hear if there's any sound coming from the bathroom, but it doesn't seem like anyone's inside.
He appreciates Victor's effort in leaving before Yuuri wakes up. It's his way of preventing the situation of becoming more awkward. Yuuri is sure he won't be able to handle the situation better than last night.
The bed creaks again as he flops down on the bed, he exhales a heavy sigh he has been holding.
Nothing was settled last night. They decided to put their final decisions on hold until GPF is over.
Whether Yuuri will retire.
Whether Victor will stop coaching and return to the world of competitive figure skating.
Yuuri would have never thought announcing his retirement to Victor will bring out his kind of outcome. It was supposed to be the moment he thanked Victor for all the precious time they spent together. Practising on the ice. Relaxing in the onsen. Playing at the beach. Visiting the festivals.
Those are precious, precious memories. Ones he will hold dear forever.
He wants to lessen Victor's burden by announcing his retirement earlier, so that Victor can watch the competition tomorrow with the excitement that he will soon be there, too.
Because Yuuri doesn't want to see Victor looking envious at the competition, knowing he'll be stuck as Yuuri's coach for who-knows-how-long thanks to Yuuri's request.
But, Victor cried.
Tears he has never seen rolling down Victor's cheeks ever since his first gold medal in Junior Championships.
At first he thought those were happy tears; that Yuuri is finally letting him go back his world. Relieved tears of being able to compete again before his age really prevents him to.
But not until Victor said he's upset, that Yuuri realised he had been wrong.
Why did Victor cry?
Yuuri is a terrible student―ah, not a boyfriend or fiancé because he knows his place. He knows he is nothing and he won't take Victor's joke about being engaged seriously. But he admits he loves how the word rolls in his tongue.
Yuuri is a terrible student―he made Victor cry and doesn't even know the reason behind Victor's reaction.
He fiddles with the ring on his third finger with his thumb―brushing the inner part of the new and smooth surface. It feels like it doesn't belong there―like it's not supposed to be there. Maybe Victor has already removed his own, but Yuuri wishes he can keep the cold metal there for a while longer. He'll remove them if Victor asks him to, though.
Not good, Yuuri's chest heaves as he thinks more about this matter. He takes several deep breaths, holding it in before blowing it out.
It's not helping.
So he goes to the bathroom, brushes his teeth and washes his face. Changes into his training clothes and picks up his bag with his skates inside. He needs to skate away the thoughts in his head―not to mention the Free Program is just tomorrow, he needs practise. But not on the rink provided by the ISU.
He needs one farther and emptier where no one recognises him.
