Alessia and Livia Schepp, six-year-old twins from Switzerland, went missing on January 30, 2011, under strange circumstances. Their father, Matthias, had taken custody of them on January 28 for a weekend visit, given his separation from their mother, Irina. Alarm bells rang when Matthias failed to return the girls at the end of the weekend, prompting authorities to step in.
It soon came to light that Matthias had taken the girls away to France, withdrawing money along the way, and then proceeded to board a ferry bound for Italy. Tragically, in Italy, he took his own life by stepping in front of an oncoming train. This grim turn of events left unanswered questions about the twins' fate. Their last confirmed sighting was on January 30, and it remains unclear whether Matthias took them to Italy or what ultimately transpired.
Adding to the mystery, before taking his life, Matthias sent a cryptic postcard to Irina, containing the unsettling message that the girls were now "resting in peace." The whereabouts of Alessia and Livia remain a mystery.

Unsolved Canadian Cases
April 17, 2024
These are cases of individuals who have gone missing in Canada but may not have enough information to be an entire case post of their own.
James David Kunuk
Tumblr media
James David Kunuk was born in 1981 and was 34 years old at the time of his disappearance. He was last seen by family on September 21, 2016 in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada. He was not reported missing until December 2016 by his landlord.
James had been living in downtown Vancouver, BC, but had recently moved to the Yukon and not yet unpacked his belongings. He did not take his wallet with him.
James did not contact his family for his birthday or over Christmas, which was unusual. Most do not think he moved again, however, he does have family in the Northwest Territories.
James uses multiple aliases including Jay Kunuk, Jimmy Miller, Jay David Springgay, Jimmy Kunuk, James Thrasher, Jeremiah McClusky.
He is Indigenous, 5'10 in height, 181 pounds with a medium build. He has short, straight black hair and brown eyes. He has two tattoos; one on his left forearm of a cross with the word "LIFE" and on his right arm of the word "THUG."
He would be 42 years old today.
Edward Joseph Arcand
Tumblr media
Edward Joseph Arcand left his home in Coleman, Alberta driving a 1969 Ford Falcon station wagon on June 8, 1975. He has never been seen since.
On June 15, 1975, one week later, his vehicle was found abandoned 80 km north of Coleman on Highway 940. However, the Doe Network states his car was found in July 1975. Edward is Indigenous, 5'8 in height, 139 pounds with a medium build. Joseph has brown eyes and short black hair, last seen wearing a blue, denim jacket, red shirt and blue, denim pants.
Many speculated he could have been Septic Tank Sam, a man whose remains were discovered in a septic tank outside Tofield, Alberta in 1977. However, Edward was missing 6 teeth and Sam had all his teeth.
Septic Tank Sam would later be identified in June 2021 as a 26 year old Indigenous man named Gordon Sanderson, who had been murdered by a gunshot wound in 1976 or 1977.
Joseph had a hernia scar on his lower abdomen, a dark complexion, and no facial hair at the time. He was 27 years old at the time of his disappearance.
Joseph would be turning 76 years old in 2024.
Glenn Field
Tumblr media
Glenn Field was 62 years old when he was last seen in April 2019 by a pilot flying over his campsite at Rolfe Lake, Northwest Territories. Glenn had flown to Rolfe Lake on September 13, 2018 to spend the winter living on the land.
He was then going to make his way back to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories in the spring of 2019. Glenn had three dogs with him and enough food to last the winter.
In October 2019, the RCMP Search and Rescue team did an aerial search of Rolfe Lake, but found no sign of Glenn.
Glenn is 5'10 in height, 170 pounds with grey hair and grey eyes. He has glaucoma and is missing one toe on his left foot and two toes on his right foot.
Glenn would be 67-68 years old in 2024.
Jean Gravel & Jean-Guy Champagne
Tumblr media
Jean Gravel was 24 years old and went missing with his coworker Jean-Guy Champagne, who was 25, on July 6, 1972 in Trois-Rivières, Québec. Both men were employees of the Rio Bar in downtown.
Both arrived to work early in the evening to work the closing shift. Neither ever returned home and have not been seen since. They were reported missing on July 10, 1972.
Jean Gravel is described as being 5'8 in height, 139 pounds with brown eyes and hair. He was wearing yellow corduroy pants, a beige wool vest, leather black and white running shoes, a gold ring on his left finger, a necklace with assorted colours and a dark blue coat.
Jean-Guy Champagne was described as 5'11 in heigh, 163 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a green cotton coat, white cotton shirt, green cotton pants, a watch that may have been "Timex" brand, a silver wedding ring on his left finger, black shoes that were size 10-10.5 and has a scar on his chin.
If you have information on any of the above cases you can contact Crime Stoppers: 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or online at https://www.canadiancrimestoppers.org/tips. You can stay anonymous.

Rebecca’s story doesn’t take center stage in Band Camp Boyfriend. Her presence is small, but her influence is large. Did you know you can hear Rebecca’s voice on the phone? Were you able to spot the family’s gravesite? And can you name the two moments her thoughts came through in the voice of another?
Or did her presence go completely over your head? Heheh.

Unsolved: Death of Dave Bocks
Working at a nuclear energy facility in rural Ohio, Dave Bocks was an engineer responsible for fitting pipes. The facility opened in the 1950′s, and was one of the few factories in America that produced uranium, a much sought-after material for the production of nuclear weapons at the time. The place was dangerous should things go wrong, and an incident in the fall of 1984 proved this when 200 tons of radioactive dust particles were released into the atmosphere, polluting local air and water supplies. Three years before this scandal, Dave Bocks mysteriously vanished into thin air in an incident far more horrific.
Dave normally carpooled to work with his co-worker, Harry Easterling. On the night of June 18th, 1984, Harry picked him up and they drove to work, ready to start the graveyard shift. They chatted about the usual things- Dave told his buddy that he was planning on taking his three children on holiday at some point. Though a divorcee, he had a good relationship with his kids and was apparently on good terms with his ex-wife. The pair clocked on at midnight and began work. Dave’s assignment for the night was to look at a broken water pump in building 8. Four hours later, another employee witnessed Dave sitting in a car. Dave and an unknown person were deep in conversation with both windows up, which the worker noted as being unusual based on how hot the night was. Later, Dave was seen walking into building 4, which was also unusual as there were no faults or work to be done in that particular building. Dave Bocks was never seen alive again.
His disappearance was first noticed when he didn’t show up to the 7 a.m. safety meeting. His colleagues assumed he was working overtime, probably stuck on some problem that needed fixing. 30 minutes later, an operator working in building 6 noticed a strange smell coming from the furnace. When a supervisor was called, they noticed that a sticky residue had formed on the casing inside the oven. At 11pm that night, when Dave was due to go to work again, he didn’t show up. A search of his locker revealed he hadn’t been back to change into his own clothes, meaning he had never left the site. It was discovered that at 5:15am on the morning of Dave's disappearance, something foreign had entered the furnace in building 6. A worker had also found a piece of bone on the lip of the furnace. A horrible feeling of unease swept over the workforce as they all had the same idea: Dave had fallen into the hot liquid metal.
The plant was shut for several days while authorities investigated. Once the metal had cooled properly, they were able to unearth more bone fragments, a pair of steel-toed boots, and part of the signature thick glasses that Dave used to wear. It was clear this is where he had met his end. Police suspected suicide, as Dave had been depressed after his divorce and there were rumours he had attempted it before. His heartbroken family suspect foul play, as nobody knows who he was talking to in that car or more importantly, what they were talking about. Anonymous employees have come forward to say they believe Dave was a whistle-blower for the facility’s many safety concerns. There is a possibility that he was silenced by the factory in the most gruesome way possible. However, the truth remains a frustrating mystery.

A wrong turn?
Tumblr media
Hello there! As it may be apparent, I am a fan of all things creepy, enigmatic, and unsettling. I'm constantly on the hunt for stories that send shivers down my spine, especially late at night when the house is quiet but for creaks and murmurs. In such situations, I rely on my plush T-rex, who has been my faithful defender since I was a child.
But that's enough about me. Today I'd like to tell you about a strange story that has gripped me for years: the Malaysia Airline Flight 370.
On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 vanished into thin air, leaving no trace or explanation for its sudden disappearance. Scheduled to depart from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, the Boeing 777 had a seemingly uneventful pre-flight routine. The aircraft had undergone regular maintenance only two weeks prior and had a flawless flying record of 12 years, with over 53,000 hours of experience.
The flight’s crew was composed of 12 Malaysians, including the experienced Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, who also taught flying, and First Officer Fariq Abdul Hamid, who was in the final phase of his training cycle. On board were 227 passengers from 14 different countries, including 153 Chinese nationals and two individuals with stolen passports.
The flight’s departure time was 12:35 AM, and it was expected to arrive in Beijing at 6:30 AM. The plane had enough fuel to last for 5 hours and 34 minutes of flight time, with an additional reserve for any deviations. At 12:42 AM, the plane took off, and by 12:46 AM, it had already reached an altitude of 35,000 feet.
At 1:08 AM, the plane’s stability was reported, and it seemed that everything was proceeding as planned. But then, in a sudden and inexplicable turn of events, Flight 370 vanished from the radar.
The sequence of events surrounding the disappearance of Flight 370 grows ever more mystifying as details emerge. The last automated communication from the plane was a routine position report at 1:06 AM, which confirmed the aircraft’s position and the amount of fuel remaining. This was followed by the final verbal communication from the captain, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, at 1:19 AM, as he reported the handover from Kuala Lumpur’s radar to Ho Chi Minh City’s air traffic control.
What was meant to be a routine handover, however, turned into a disturbing silence as contact with Flight 370 was lost. The captain’s last words, “Good night, Malaysia 370,” have become an eerie reminder of the tragedy that followed. Despite attempts to make contact with the aircraft, including one from another plane that reported hearing only muffled voices and static, all efforts were in vain.
At 2:39 AM and 7:13 AM, two more attempts were made to contact the plane, but no response was received.
At 1:20 AM, the plane was detected on Kuala Lumpur’s radar over the Gulf of Thailand, and a routine “good night, clear skies” message was transmitted via the transponder. However, just five seconds later, the aircraft vanished from the radar, leaving no trace behind.
Interestingly, Ho Chi Minh City’s radar picked up the aircraft at the same time as Kuala Lumpur’s radar, and the transponder signal was still active until 1:21 AM when it suddenly stopped, without any interference from the weather. A military radar then detected the plane making a sharp turn to the right and then to the left towards the southwest, effectively backtracking.
Between 1:30 AM and 1:35 AM, the plane was flying at an altitude of 35,700 feet and continued to travel over the Malay Peninsula, with its altitude oscillating between 31,000 and 33,000 feet. At 1:52 AM, it was detected again, having passed over Penang Island and flown over the Strait of Malacca. The last detection was made at 2:22 AM, placing the aircraft 247 nautical miles (about 458 km) northwest of Penang Airport, at an altitude of 29,500 feet.
The location of this final detection is geographically close to Australia, but no Australian radar picked up the aircraft.
The satellite communication system on Flight 370 is a critical aspect of the investigation. At 2:25 AM, the satellite system sent a request to access the plane, and remarkably, the plane responded. However, the content of the communication raises more questions than it answers. The satellite sent a status request, to which the plane replied with a seemingly innocuous “all is well.”
The situation took an even more mysterious turn at 8:19 AM, long after the scheduled landing time when the satellite system once again attempted to communicate with the plane. This time, there was no response from the aircraft. This was highly unusual, as the communication system is designed to respond to all incoming messages.
The plane, obviously, never landed in Beijing, despite radar and satellite data indicating its movements. The official statement from Malaysian Airlines initially stated that they lost contact with the aircraft at 02:40 AM, but this was later corrected to 01:21 AM, the time of the last verbal contact. The lack of a distress signal only adds to the confusion.
On March 24th, the Malaysian Prime Minister revealed during a press conference that the plane’s last known position was over the southern Indian Ocean. Speculation arose about a possible water landing, leading to an emergency meeting in Beijing with the relatives of those onboard. Malaysian Airlines ultimately declared the plane lost with no survivors, contacting relatives through various means.
Amidst the confusion, there are accounts from witnesses who claim to have seen something related to the incident. A fisherman off the coast of Kota Baru, Malaysia, reported seeing a low-flying plane on the day of the flight. Meanwhile, a worker on an oil rig near the coast of Vietnam recalled seeing an object on fire at sea level. The distance between these two sightings makes it impossible for them to be connected, raising more questions about what happened. Adding to the mystery, two Indonesian fishermen spoke of a plane crash near the Strait of Malacca. And then a Malaysian woman claimed to have seen a plane in the water near the Andaman Islands on the day of the disappearance of Flight 370.
The search operation for the missing plane began with great urgency, as the world waited with bated breath for any signs of its whereabouts. But as days turned into weeks, the search became a confusing mess. Satellite data led authorities to believe that the plane was in Southern Asia, but then they were proven wrong after examining the data and discovering that it was actually in the vast Southern Ocean.
For over a month, a fleet of ships and military aircraft scoured a whopping 4.6 million km² area, searching for any trace of the missing plane. Even the seabed was surveyed with echo sounders, as the searchers combed the ocean for any clues. But despite their best efforts, they found nothing.
In 2017, the search operations were suspended, and it was concluded that the area of the plane’s disappearance could be narrowed down to a still-massive 25.000 km². However, hope was reignited in early 2018 when a private American company, Ocean Infinity, resumed the search in this area using state-of-the-art equipment, including multi-beam sonars, video cameras, and an autonomous submarine.
Despite their best efforts, the search yielded no results, leaving investigators and the public alike frustrated and confused. As the Fifth anniversary of the disaster rolled around, the Malaysian government declared their willingness to investigate any new leads, and Ocean Infinity stepped forward again, offering to conduct further searches.
The search was not without some success, albeit small. Over the year, various pieces of debris have washed up on shores and been found by fishermen. The first 20 pieces were discovered by 2017, with 18 believed to belong to the plane. Among these was a flaperon found on Reunion Island in 2015, which was analyzed and confirmed to have come from the missing plane. French authorities searched the area but found only unrelated items.
Other debris was discovered along the coast of Mozambique, including an object with the words “no step” and another with the letters 676EB, both identified as belonging to the plane. A fragment with a partial Rolls Royce logo was also found in South Africa. In Tanzania, one of the plane’s flaps was found, and between 2016 and 2018, five more fragments were discovered in Madagascar.
Following the discovery of debris believed to be from Flight 370, the relatives of the victims initiated their search efforts in Madagascar in November 2016. Meanwhile, the Joint Investigation Team, consisting of specialists from China, Malaysia, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States, was established to lead the official investigation into the incident. Divided into three groups, the team focused on examining aircraft records, recordings related to meteorology and aircraft-atmosphere interactions, as well as psychological and pathological factors related to the crew. The team was initially coordinated by the Royal Malaysia Police and Interpol before Australia took over control and coordination of all activities. Despite these efforts, however, by 2017 France was the only country continuing the search for any remaining clues or evidence.
The investigation team has made significant deductions regarding the incident. The team has established that the plane remained in operation until 08:19 AM, as confirmed by satellite pings, and was moving at a high speed. Communication with the ground was lost between 08:19 AM and 09:15 AM, and as the flight had been in operation for 7 hours and 38 minutes at 08:19 AM, it was expected to run out of fuel soon. The initial hypotheses considered power interruption, flight control issues, or engine malfunction, and another theory suggested hypoxia. Investigators find the latter theory fitting with the evidence, and based on the discovery of flaperons, they believe that the flaps were not extended, leading to a high-speed spiral descent. Therefore, it is theorized that the aircraft was not under control at the time of the crash.
One aspect that adds to the mystery is the discovery of two passengers with stolen passports. These Iranian citizens had booked one-way tickets through China Southern Airlines, with one requesting the cheapest option and paying in cash. Both individuals entered Malaysia with valid passports on February 28th and were 19 and 29 years old. Despite initial concerns about terrorism, an investigation into all passengers ruled out this possibility. The suspicion then shifted to a Swiss flight engineer, who was investigated for possible involvement in hijacking the plane. However, this theory, like the others, proved to be unfruitful. Another hypothesis suggests that someone on the crew reprogrammed the autopilot, leading the plane to head towards the Indian Ocean, as the chosen route made no sense. Despite conducting 170 interrogations, investigators found no evidence of any financial, personal, or critical issues among the crew or passengers. Before boarding, the crew was captured on security cameras, displaying no unusual behaviour.
In 2016, a glimmer of hope emerged when the hard drive and data from the captain’s flight simulator were recovered. Among the data, investigators found the flight path of the aircraft on February 8th. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that the Australian Prime Minister suggested a chilling hypothesis: murder-suicide by the pilot.
According to the Prime minister, the pilot may have committed this heinous act due to family and emotional problems. However, there is no concrete evidence to support this theory, and the pilot’s family vehemently denies such issues.
As we wrap up this investigation into the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, we are left with more questions than answers. How could a Boeing 777 simply vanish into thin air, leaving behind so few clues in locations where it had no business being? This disappearance serves as a reminder that even in our modern world of advanced technology and communication, there are still mysteries that elude our understanding. It is a haunting reminder that some things may never be solved and that we must continue to search for answers even when the trail goes cold. As the search for Flight 370 continues, we can only hope that one day the truth will be uncovered, and the families of the victims will finally have the closure they deserve.

The bedroom of Victor Dwight Shoemaker Jr. is frozen in time. For when Victor – known affectionately as J.R. by his loved ones – was just 5-years-old, he vanished without a trace.
It was a brisk spring morning in Kirby, West Virginia, on the 1st of May, 1994. J.R. and his family were attending a family reunion at his grandfather’s mobile home, situated on the outskirts of Short Mountain, which is a long, relatively low mountain of 8,000 acres. The area is rugged and a popular spot for hunting. Once they arrived, J.R. and his two older cousins – 8-year-old Lloyd Wolford and 9-year-old Tommy Martin – went outside to play in the wooded area of the mountainside, armed with their BB guns.
“They went a-huntin’” said their grandfather, Oscar Wolford. “That was their hobby. They’ve come back and say, ‘Oh, I killed a big buck.’”1 J.R. loved exploring the woods, presumably more so because he lived in the confines of a Leesburg apartment where he spent his days building houses out of cardboard boxes and drawing pictures of animals and snowmen. When visiting his grandfather – in the great outdoors – J.R. loved playing in the creeks and climbing the trees.
The area the boys played in was the only area that J.R.’s parents, Victor Shoemaker Sr. and Nettie Shoemaker, allowed their son to play out of their sight; the older couple had tried for years to have a baby before finally conceiving J.R. so they were remarkably protective of him. All three boys had played in the woods countless times and it was no different on this particular Sunday. On that morning, J.R. was wearing a red Bugs Bunny t-shirt, red shorts and white X-Men trainers. Like most children of his age, J.R. loved cartoons and his outfit demonstrated this.
According to J.R.’s cousins, it was around 8:30AM when J.R. stated that he was hungry. With his stomach growling, J.R. decided he would walk back to the mobile home to ask his grandfather to fix him something to eat. J.R.’s cousins said that as he sauntered off through the woodland, they lost sight of him.
Tragically, J.R. never made it back to his grandfather’s home....

The Disappearance of Marilyn Ann Hersey (Nova Scotia)
Tumblr media
December 29, 2023
Marilyn Ann Hersey, 62 years old, has not been seen since January 28, 2006. Marilyn had been at the Abbie J. Lane Memorial building, part of the QEII hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Marilyn was getting treatment for her bipolar disorder, and had supposedly left the building for a cigarette outside (some sources say). She has not been heard or seen since.
While the police were treating the case as a missing person, Marilyn's daughter, Dolene LaPointe believes her mother is dead. Dolene said in an interview her mother would not leave to go anywhere and not contact her.
Dolene also claimed that her mother had too many physical and mental health problems to be out on her own, often needing and wanting help from others. Even if Marilyn would have had a heart attack her body would of been found, her daughter said.
Marilyn was voluntarily at the hospital that day trying to get treatment for severe paranoia. Her daughter said that Marilyn believed people were trying to kill her.
Marilyn took numerous medications, and did not have any of them with her when she left the hospital, seemingly, she most likely was planning to return to the hospital, and her time outside was only meant to be brief.
Marilyn was 155 pounds, 5'2, with greying auburn hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a purple jacket, purple hat, black sweat pants and beige hiking boots. She had stepped outside around 8:30 pm that evening, on a 20 minute pass.
Marilyn's daughter said her mother left her money and cigarettes in the hospital, which wasn't something she would do. Marilyn was also on social assistance and the hospital had her keys, so she would not have been able to return to her apartment.
Dolene said the last time she spoke to her mother was an hour after she left the hospital, around 9:30 pm. Marilyn had called her from a phone on Almon Street. Dolene said she had difficulty making what her mother was saying.
Dolene told her mother to return to the hospital but Marilyn responded that she couldn't, she had to go. That was the last time she spoke to her daughter. Dolene said she called the hospital and said her mother was missing, gave them the name and information of where Marilyn had called her from, but the hospital did nothing.
Dolene called the police the next morning and reported her mother missing. No money has been taken out of Marilyn's account, and her family has put up many posters, checked shelters and questioned people about the disappearance.
It is questionable why the hospital did not seem to care to look for Marilyn after she had not returned from her 20 minute pass, I am also wondering why someone who clearly had severe mental health issues going on would be allowed to go outside alone, on a chilly January evening.
It has been almost 18 years since Marilyn seemingly vanished without a trace in Halifax. Is it likely that she is alive? Perhaps not. Is it likely someone offered her a ride or she went off with a stranger? To me that is extremely likely.

The Lost Women of Ciudad, Jaurez: Giving a Name to Rising Female Homicide in Mexico
Tumblr media
For the past two decades, the city of Ciudad, Juárez has been gripped with fear  for their daughters, sisters, and wives from the growing violence against women in Mexico. Now considered a pandemic by the United Nations, female homicide rates are at an all time high. Hundreds of parents that are interconnected by a morbid planetary fate have been asking the same question: Who is violently raping and murdering their daughters on the outskirts of Juárez, Mexico? Between 1993 and 2005, more than 370 young girls and women have been found tortured, mutilated, and murdered in the deserts of Mexico. Many of the girls shared the same characteristics: Over 70% of the girls were teenagers that came from poverty stricken backgrounds, a majority of them were either Maquiladora (factory) workers or students, and they shared the same physical characteristics such as having a slender build, dark toned skin, dark eyes, and dark, shoulder length hair. Out of the nearly 400 reported murders over a decade long time span, one third of those cases involved violent sexual assault.  Despite the vast amounts of missing women, only roughly 20% of those cases are presumed “solved” with a majority of the victims remaining unidentified. According to the citizens of Juárez, a lack of respectable police work is behind the continued slaying of women in their city. Why do you believe there aren’t more precautions put into place to protect its citizens and most importantly, who is doing this?
Ciudad, Juárez is considered “The Gateway to the North” due to its placement against the United States. With only the city of El Paso, Texas and the Rio Bravo River separating these two countries, it attracts high levels of gang violence and drug smuggling due to easy importing and exporting of goods at the border. Despite the high levels of gang violence, only roughly 70% of the murders committed between 1993 and 2005 were due to gang violence, with one third of them being violent sexual assaults against women.
On May 12, 1993 the body of an unidentified woman was found in the slopes of Cerro Bola laying on her back with her trousers unzipped and pulled down around her knees. It was immediately clear that she suffered a frenzied attack; She suffered bite wounds to her breast and nipple, abrasions to her jaw and right cheek, an abrasion to her chin, and was bleeding in her nose and mouth. Her bra was pushed up revealing her breasts. The first victim of “feminicidio” had light brown skin, was approximately 24 years old and her cause of death was asphyxia caused by strangulation; she remains unidentified.
Between May and October of 1993 ten bodies were found on the outskirts of Juárez; all ten of these bodies showed signs of sexual assault.
During the year of 1994, at least seven women came forward and reported being raped and strangled. A twelve year old girl was found murdered after walking to a public bus stop. For these crimes, five men were arrested and charged.
On August 22, 1995 the skeletal remains of sixteen year old maquiladora worker Angélica Márquez Ledezma were found next to an unidentified woman she worked with. On the day of her disappearance, she left for work with her husband and never returned home.
On September 1, 1995 the body of sixteen year old Silvia Elena Rivera was found- eight days later, the body of twenty year old Olga Alicia Carrillo was discovered. Both victims showed evidence of having pieces of their breasts and nipples bitten off; due to an advanced state of decomposition, it was impossible to determine if these wounds were inflicted by scavenging animals or if they suffered them during their murders.
At the end of 1995, sixteen year old Cecelia Covarrubia, her newborn child, and her two friends Adriana Torres and Ignacia Morales went missing. The three girls’ bodies were located but Cecelia’s newborn is never found.
There were 42 recorded murders in 1995 and in eighteen of those cases, there was evidence of sexual assault.
Between March and April of 1996, eight bodies are discovered on the outskirts of the city. These bodies include the semi-naked bodies of sixteen year old Verónica Guadalupe Castro and seventeen year old Rosario Garcia Leal. The victims were bound with their own shoelaces- Verónica’s cause of death was fatal stab wounds and Rosario died from asphyxia caused by strangulation. The remaining six girls found could not be identified.
On July 8, 1996 seventeen year old maquiladora worker Sandra Jaurez failed to make it to work and was later discovered murdered by strangulation.
On August 10, 1996 the body of fourteen year old maquiladora worker Sandra Ivette Ramirez was discovered after failing to return home from her shift.
In December of 1996 fifteen year old Brenda Lizeth Najera and thirteen year old Susanna Flores are found dead. Both victims showed signs of violent sexual assault and torture.
In 1996, 43 women were murdered with 19 cases showing evidence of sexual assault; a majority of those girls remain unidentified.
Between March and April of 1997, ten women went missing and were found murdered. Six of them were naked and showed signs of sexual assault. Five of these victims were identified as ten year old Cinthia Rocio Acosta, eleven year old Ana Maria Gardea, nineteen year old Maribel Palomino, nineteen year old Sylvia Guadalupe, and sixteen year old Myriam Aguilar. Out of the 37 women murdered in 1997, sixteen were sexually assaulted and only eight were identified.
On January 3, 1998 the body of thirteen year old Jesica Martinez Morales is found. On March 11 Silvia Arce is reported missing and is never seen again. On April 21, 1998 the body of 22-year-old Argelia Irene Salazar is discovered semi naked under a railway bridge. She was last seen on her way to work at a maquiladora factory.
The body of a Dutch tourist, Hester Van Nierop was discovered under a hotel bed with her throat cut.
In 1998 a total of 38 women were murdered, with 17 of them being sexually assaulted.
In July of 1998 the Comision Nacional de Derechos Humanos, or National Human Rights Convention recommended that under official review, that the judicial, state, and municipal authorities of Ciudad, Juárez and Chihuahua, Mexico were guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty. Shortly after, the Special Prosecutors Office for the Investigation of the Murders of Women was founded.
In 1999, a fourteen year old girl survived a brutal sexual assault before being left for dead in the deserts of Mexico. Miraculously, she survived the attack and identified her attacker: Jesús Manuel Guardado Márquez, nicknamed “El Tolteca,” was a bus driver for the Maquiladora she worked for. After his arrest, he gave the names of four other men that were involved in the murders of 20 Maquiladora workers between 1998 and 1999.
In order to process the magnitude of the problem of femicide in Mexico, one must ask two crucial questions: Why is this happening and what can we, as a nation do to stop it?
According to IACHR Special Rapporteur, 257 women that went missing between 1993 and 2002 remain unaccounted for. However, non-governmental organizations located in Mexico claim that the number is well over 400. Out of the nearly 400 women that went missing, 50% of the victims were between the ages of 13 and 22, making adolescents the main target of these brutal attacks. 70% of the victims from 1993 to 2002 died from asphyxia caused by strangulation or blunt force trauma. Of all of these murders, and despite the similarities between assaults, only 20% are considered “solved.”
In July of 2017 the Mexican government and local Human rights activists created a smartphone app called “No Estoy Sola,” or “I Am Not Alone.” The program is designed to send a distress call to five preloaded contacts in your phone in the event of an attack or kidnapping. By shaking the phone or pressing any button, a message containing your coordinates is sent directly to your preloaded contacts. Many civilians in Mexico do not choose to download authorities onto this distress call for lack of trust in their abilities and motivations.
With the sheer number of young women and girls that have went missing or been brutally murdered in Juárez and chihuahua, how has the Mexican government not done more to protect this young age group? The statistics are there- the likelihood of Mexican authorities solving a murder, rape, or disappearance is less than 30%- and the numbers of violent assaults and murders is rising. In 2016, Juárez’s murder rate doubled from its 2015 statistics. If you are a citizen of Juárez, for every 100,000 residents, statistically there will be 43.63 homicides.
What do you believe is the cause of femicide in Mexico?

HERE'S AN UPDATE!
One of my fav professional forensic astrologers who's found many missing persons before has just posted a video on Jolissa Fuentes showing us a map of where to look👇👇

Another thing to add that kristy the criminal astrologer mentioned is Venus is in cancer in the 12th right? Very close to the Sun and Asc, she said she might have been on her way home (Cancer) and had a car accident on the way there. Her car may be hidden (12th house) near her home in an open field.
Jolissa fuentes found!!!
UPDATE 10/10/2022: (click to zoom)
Tumblr media
In the location right where it says trimmer is where she was found.. her car went off a cliff and into a area 250ft+ down.. between the mars and uranus line. The car was basically hidden underneath the trees and bushes... From that road there I can see how easy it is to get into an accident at that sharp turn.
She was found October 10th 2022 at around 1-6pm.
I looked up the chart of the day/exact time she was found and uranus was and is currently in retrograde at the EXACT degree that she had this accident (uranus wasn't in retrograde at that time)...isn't that crazy? I believe that this uranus retrograde is possibly what played a part in locating her bc it took us back to a time-even the investigator himself said these words "went back to the area that was one of the 1st places searched" so retrogrades have this way of bringing us back to the past so we can revisit, redo, gain new information from past events, it basically gives you a 2nd look or 2nd chance to make things right. Atleast that's my opinion anyway.
When reading a crime chart always pay attention to the aspects. What's aspecting the most important placements? Venus was very important here. The 2nd chart at 5:24am (top) shows the aftermath of the 1st one.. crazy.
At 1st look of jolissas chart before this case was swarmed with conspiracy theories, I was less confused. As you can see at the top before the updates, that was my initial interpretation of what could have happened. That's the thing about stuff like this or whatever the situation may be, always trust your 1st instinct. The most simple one bc when you allow other people's judgments to define your own you end up being very confused. For a while I had this post on private bc I was looking to other people for information since I couldn't confirm my own. They were saying she was in the open field by her house (bc there is many empty lots around) or possibly taken by someone, trafficked.. as more time passed it was like the crazier the theories got and I believed some of them. I didn't wanna say the wrong thing so that's why I privated. But now knowing what we know, I feel like more cases/investigators/searchers should try thinking outside of their own perception. Yes you may not be able to see off a cliff or imagine something happening but you just never know and you have to be bold enough to trust yourself when you have a strong gut feeling. Cut off all the noise, theories and stick to the facts + evidence only, that's the closest thing you can do to finding a missing person.
And focus on those who have experience too, Kristi the criminal astrologer helped me so much in this case. Very much an underrated astrologer
Aspects to note:
Saturn square mars, uranus and sun (transit). Saturn conjunct Jolissas sun, mars/uranus/sun square jolissas sun too.
Sun square mars and uranus (transit)
Venus inconjunct saturn and square pluto. (Transit)
