Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been released in cinemas. The film reportedly chronicles the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, a freedom fighter who fought against the British. Here is Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’s review which might help you to watch it.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Review
Story of the movie:
The story was set around 10 years prior to India’s first war of independence of 1857. Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy (Chiranjeevi) is an emperor from the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh who lived happily with his wife Siddhamma (Nayanthara), his mother (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) and with his people. During that time, the British East India Company came to India for business but soon started to torture Indian people and loot and ship the Indian resources back to their country. When Narasimha Reddy is witnessed by their atrocities, he gets furious and leaves his throne, wife and mother and teams up emperors of other regions Veera Reddy (Jagapathi Babu), Avuku Raju (Sudheep), Raja Pandi (Vijay Sethupathi) and his guru Guru Gosayi Venkanna (Amitabh Bachchan) starts a rebellion against the British East India Company. Will he get succeed? For this, you have to watch the film.
Star Performance:
Chiranjeevi has delivered a brilliant performance in the film. Amitabh Bachchan may have a small role in the film, but the ace superstar has done justice to his role. Tamannaah as Lakshmi shares a brilliant scene in the film. While, others like Nayanthara, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu are the assets of the film.
Music Direction:
The background score of the film is good.
Direction:
The film’s direction is good. The cinematography by R. Rathnavelu is stunning. Dialogues are impressive. The first half takes a slow start, but the story takes a serious mode before the interval. The second half is good and the last 35 minutes in the climax are the biggest highlights of the movie.
Watch Or Not:
Watchable just for Chiranjeevi’s explosive performance & it’s brilliant scale.

102 Not Out Review – Bollywood Hungama
“Age is just a number” is a very old adage and many people swear by it. Despite their growing age, they prefer to keep the child inside them alive. The rest on the other hand feel that it’s better to come to terms with the old age and all the complications associated with it. R Balki handled this aspect beautifully in 2007 in CHEENI KUM wherein Amitabh Bachchan’s character at 64 was all set to get married while his to-be father-in-law, essayed by Paresh Rawal, was younger than his to-be son-in-law and was all set to become a ‘senior citizen’. Amitabh now gets into a kind of a similar zone with 102 NOT OUT. So does it turn out to be an ideal family entertainer? Or does it fail to evoke fun and madness?
102 NOT OUT is an unusual story of a father and a son. Dattatraya Vakharia (Amitabh Bachchan) is a healthy old man at the ripe age of 102. He’s full of life and aims to live for 16 more years to break the record of the oldest man alive on Earth. His son Babulal (Rishi Kapoor) meanwhile is around 75 and has lost interest in life. Dattatraya is unable to tolerate the negativity oozed by Babulal with regards to old age, death etc. and decides to become the first father ever to admit his son in an old-age home. Babulal is naturally shocked and livid at this decision of his father and he protests. Dattatraya, as a result, decides to put few conditions in front of Babulal that he needs to fulfill if he wants to stay in their sprawling bungalow. As Dattatraya starts to fulfill these conditions, he becomes more and more excited and child-like. But few of the conditions also require Babulal to confront some of the past demons, which is going to be a challenge. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
The opening credits of the film are creative, showcasing some of the important landmarks of Mumbai, many of which are also a part of the film’s narrative. The introduction of all the 3 important characters – Dattatraya, Babulal and Dhiru (Jimit Trivedi) is quite funny and makes for a nice watch. The film is just 102 minutes long and hence, no time is wasted. The film comes right on track after the quick introduction and it’s hilarious to see Dattatraya trying to get his son admitted into an old age home. The sequence where he reads Babulal’s love letter raises lots of laughs. From here, the film slips a bit as the direction is a bit disjointed. But the film picks up slightly with the church sequence as a new angle is introduced at this point. Post-interval, this angle gets a lot of prominence and that’s where the film gets emotional. The sequence where Dattatraya narrates a terrible ordeal from their lives is heart-wrenching but also one of the best sequences of the film. The climax is clap worthy and also puts a smile on one’s face. But in this process, the humour that one would expect after watching the funny promos of the film, might feel a bit let down as the second half is very serious, with very few laughs.
Saumya Joshi’s story is novel, touching and gives a very important message. Saumya Joshi’s screenplay is effective, for most of the parts, but is too quick and slightly incoherent in the first half. For instance, the manner in which the film’s tone gets too emotional in the sequence when Babulal enters the park with the aeroplane is too quick and catches viewers unaware. Saumya Joshi’s dialogues however keep the fun and interest going and at places, are also quite acidic. Umesh Shukla’s direction is simple and neat. He struggles at a few places in the first half, but overall, he manages to leave a mark and ensure that viewers are moved and have laughed in equal measures. 102 NOT OUT is adapted from a Gujarati play by the same name, directed by Saumya Joshi, and Umesh manages to get it on celluloid very well. At a few places, it does give you a feeling of a play but no complaints as such since the content is strong!
Amitabh Bachchan is in a great form yet again and delivers an outstanding performance. It’s amusing and endearing to see him playing a centenarian and still preferring to live life to the fullest. Even in the emotional scenes, he shines a lot. His Gujarati accent comes out well, but it’s not too in-your-face. Rishi Kapoor also puts his best foot forward and gets completely into the skin of his character. It’s nice to see him as an uptight senior citizen and his gradual transformation is also lovely. His best act is definitely in a crucial emotional sequence in the second half where he mouths no dialogues but communicates a lot simply through his expressions and eyes. Jimit Trivedi whose debut in BHOOL BULAIYAA (2007) was much talked about gives a yet another bravura performance. He also contributes a lot to the fun and emotional quotient of the film. Dharmendra Gohil (Amol) is decent in the lone sequence.
Salim-Sulaiman’s music is hardly memorable. ‘Bachche Ki Jaan’ and ‘Kulfi’ both are played in the background and go well with the narrative. ‘Badumbaa’ is missing from the film. George Joseph’s background score however is quite exhilarating. Laxman Utkar’s cinematography is decent and the exterior shots of Mumbai are well captured. Bodhaditya Banerjee’s editing is slick, at times too quick, but overall fair. It’s commendable that a film with the title of 102 NOT OUT is actually 102 minutes long and kudos to the editor for managing it. Mansi Dhruv Mehta’s production design is appealing – the mansion looks quite rich. Veera Kapur Ee’s costume stylist is first-rate. The review would be incomplete without the mention of Preetisheel Singh’s make up, hair and prosthetics. She gives a great look to both the veteran actors which also turns out to be the film’s USP.
On the whole, 102 NOT OUT is a complete family entertainer with strong emotions as its trump card. It carries an important message for today’s times. At the box office, it will have a strong word of mouth and families are bound to flock to watch it in theatres. Recommended!

Desmond and Veeeeeeeera
My caption from instagram:
Twist catching strays for no reason
I did previously state (I think) that Desmond, as per company policy, has an arsenal of ghouls (that he doesn't use). Though, I do think his favorite slug would be the Fandango, bc energy slug. but I can see him liking floppers because no one uses them in combat and I imagine, not really ghouled either. He likes them because they're worthless If Madame Noire's favorite wants to keep a flopper slug in his arsenal, then what can she really do about it. (He's her favorite employee. She likes him a lot. Dr. Blakk however, not so much. Though Blakk is not the boss anymore, Noire is. And she says the scientist gets ONE flopper slug)
Veera doesn't have a favorite. She has a slight resentment towards slugs. At best she likes Infurnus slugs because they're associated with the protector of the caverns
Elizabeth Noire likes Hoverbugs/blades. she likes that they fly
side note. I didn't realize Slugterra actually uses the word "shoot". They never use gun, so I assumed shoot was also a word they didn't use Shoot gun = bad Shoot blaster = ok!!!

I Promise I'll Love You Again
Slugterra OC Introductions
Welcome to my introductory post for my Slugterra OCs. I only have 3; the rest I had I either moved into my own original universe or just chose to leave behind (apologies, dearest Jensen).
For more context, for my timeline, present day is after the events of Ascension take place. I'm boring like that.
Tumblr media
Madame Noire (Elizabeth Noire)
Age: 29 (might be changed)
Introduction As mentioned previously, I had several Slugterra OCs, some of which needed to interact with Dr. Blakk. This was pre-Ascension, so I had to figure out a reason why Dr. Blakk would be present. Ultimately, I decided that I should just make a character to replace him in the company.
This character was made many moons ago, and her character has stayed mostly the same. Of course, now that Ascension has been released, her existence is not really warranted, but I really enjoyed having a version of Dr. Blakk that was pleasant to be around, so I kept her.
Background
Young Elizabeth Noire was never fond of her father, and her father was somehow even less fond of her. When given the opportunity to leave her life behind by the same man who did her a favor and lied to her father on her whereabouts, she took it. That man was no other than a young Thaddius Blakk. She'd been with Thaddius from the very beginning, back when Blakk Industries was a mere concept. As such, the two have been through a lot together. Dr. Thaddius Blakk may never admit it, but dear Elizabeth might be the closest the man would get to a daughter. She, alongside her most beloved researcher, Desmond, mostly worked at the Blakksite; a secret facility unknown to most of the 99 Caverns' inhabitants. The two would visit the Citadel for status reports and research findings, but they were rarely seen outside of that. At least, not often enough for people outside of Blakk Industries to really know of her existence.
Present
After Dr. Blakk's disappearance, Elizabeth had been working away at mending the pieces he left behind. Alas, she'd finally rebuilt Blakk Industries to the great company it once was, and many believed that Blakk Industries may be better in the young woman's hands. Little do they know, despite being the new leader, she is still chasing after Dr. Blakk goals of taking over Slugterra, especially after his sudden reappearance into her life.
Desmond "Dez" Stanger
Age: 30
Introduction Now, let's start with the fact that Dez is not really a Slugterra OC at all. He started out in Slugterra, but I did eventually choose to move him out to my original universe, Momentum (and he has a vacation home in My Time at Portia). However, I'd decided I wanted to revisit my Eastern Caverns OC, and knew I needed him for her character to work, so he's back.
His background has not really changed since his inception, just added onto. His personality has changed a bit though: from an overworked and tired researcher, to one who very much likes working a lot, but chooses to prioritize his sleep and general well-being. Essentially, he's a well put-together adult now, and a lot more nice and polite.
You are a lot more likely to see Dez than the other 2, due to a combination of him playing a part in multiple stories, and just the fact he's my favorite (and currently the prime victim of my obsessive behavior).
Background
One would not have guessed it from his gentle demeanor, but Desmond Stanger hailed from a family of ruthless mercenaries and bounty hunters. They were known for their prowess in slugslinging, but so were they known for their lack of mercy and inclination to play dirty. Desmond wanted no part in it. He decided he wouldn't follow in his family's footsteps and instead pursued where his heart lied: the sciences. To this day, he rarely mentions his family and would prefer to not disclose his home cavern. As he left behind his fate as a slugslinger, he found himself studying and, eventually, working at the Slugterra Institute of Technology in Futuria Cavern. However, it wasn't long until the researcher grew an interest in Dark Water, and what better place could he get his hands on the substance besides Blakk Industries?
Present
Desmond currently works as a researcher and engineer at Blakk Industries, and has been doing so for some time now. Working mostly under Madame Noire, they were usually situated at the Blakksite, but have moved operations to the Citadel after Madame Noire's takeover of Blakk Industries. His main goal is to study Dark Water and find any beneficial uses it may have, but it seems the work of designing and creating weapons has taken up much of his time since he was hired. He is less than thrilled about it; even less so knowing what exactly will come from his work.
Veera Trivedi
Age: 16
Introduction I'm not sure why I decided to do it, but I made an OC from the Eastern Caverns. My friends from the time I made her might know that I could never figure out what I wanted for this character.
Revisions were constant. This character came from me wanting a character from the Eastern Caverns; not because I had any real love for her. Though, I'm happy to tell you that after a long visit to the hospital, I do finally have something for her. It only took a couple years of neglect.
It will be obvious that she's just the "badass fighter who doesn't talk a lot and is angry all the time," character type, which I admit, I am not the biggest fan of. In all honesty, I find her interactions with Desmond the most endearing part of her character and it's pretty much the sole thing I care about.
Background
Youngest daughter of the Trivedi family of the Eastern Caverns. Her family's sacred duty was to act as a bridge between the inhabitants of the East and the Shadow Clan. When the Shadow Clan had come to them to deliver a message that their newborn daughter would be the one to defeat a great evil, the Trivedis wasted no time to make sure the young Trivedi would be more than prepared to best this great evil. She trained all day and night. She was expected to not only be a slugslinging master, but too a slug-fu master. She was neither. She fought hard to be what was needed of her, but then the dreaded day came: The Champion had returned, alongside a group called the Shane Gang. They brought down the Emperor, and her entire life. Being part of the Trivedi family meant the young girl had access to ancient Shadow Clan technology most people could only wish to get their hands on. Stealing one of the Shadow Walkers her family kept hidden away, she left behind her life in the Eastern Caverns, and doesn't intend on ever looking back.
Present
Veera now resides in the 99 Caverns. She works as a regular goon at Blakk Industries and acts as Desmond's apprentice during her off-time. She harbors an immense amount of shame and resentment that she is able to channel during work. Though she struggles with things many might find second nature, she's been blessed with Slugterra's most patient teacher.
Conclusion
I do realize all their backstories are incredibly similar. I'll spoil the magic: not intentional. I came up with their backstories separately and they all somehow ended up the same.
Now, I would love to continue spamming this post with useless facts of my characters, but I will save that for a, "Dumb Stuff about my Characters," post.
Though, I will say that I have mentioned several times on my Instagram that Veera sees Desmond as a father figure and Noire sees him as her best friend. However, he would never call Noire his best friend (despite caring about her as much she does him). Not for any nefarious reason, I just believe it might it a bit out of his comfort zone to say things like that. He seems a little too reserved.
Veera and Noire do have a relationship, it's just not on the same level of the one with Desmond. Noire is quite warm with Veera; it's just not the kind of warmth Veera can appreciate quite yet.
Special Thanks
...to you for reading this post. I hope you the best of days. Hopefully I will continue writing posts like these since, there's not much point in letting these ideas rot in my brain. Question box always open if you have any questions, and DMs always open as well if you need to contact me.
Regards.
