read it on the AO3 at http://ift.tt/2xYxQOI
by camillavigne96
A Malec FanFiction based on a chapter in The Bane Chronicles: What To Buy A Shadowhunter Who Has Everything (And Who You're Not Officially Dating Anyway). The story's told from Alec's perspective of what happened in the book, with some scenes I made up to cover the plotlines. Thank you for reading. TO THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE BOOKS: this story took place at the time not too long after Alec had just asked Magnus out on a date. So, they were still in the early stage of their relationship.
Words: 3260, Chapters: 1/1, Language: English
Fandoms: The Mortal Instruments Series - Cassandra Clare, Shadowhunters, malec - Fandom
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Categories: M/M
Characters: Magnus Bane, Alec Lightwood, Isabelle Lightwood, Jace Wayland, Simon Lewis, Clary Fray, Maryse Lightwood, Robert Lightwood, Max Lightwood

Did u read the bane chronicles, tales of the shadowhunter academy, the lost book of white, ghosts of the shadowhunter market, midnight heir and red scrolls in the paperback or hardcover format? And what did u rate them all? and what would u rank them from best/most reread to worst?
Also happy thanksgiving new bestie! 🫶
HA. First, happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I deeply appreciate the Matthew picture and am of course very thankful for him. <3
I've read and reread basically every piece of Shadowhunter content known to man. Don't worry. I've read the collections several times, especially certain stories. I read Nothing But Shadows or Cast Long Shadows basically monthly. I also read the Letter Game and Penultimate Hours (online-only bonus content that I've printed out for reading purposes) pretty frequently.
I don't feel like I can holistically rank the three bindups, so I'll just rank each story I guess.
Cast Long Shadows
Nothing But Shadows
Every Exquisite Thing
The Midnight Heir
The Whitechapel Fiend
Vampires, Scones, and Edmund Herondale
The Wicked Ones
The Evil We Love
Learn About Loss
Born to Endless Night
Saving Raphael Santiago
The Course of True Love and First Dates
The Land I Lost
The Last Stand of the New York Institute
Son of the Dawn
What to Buy the Shadowhunter Who Has Everything (and Who You're Not Officially Dating Anyway)
The Fiery Trial
Angels Twice Descending
The Rise of the Hotel Dumort
The Fall of the Hotel Dumort
The Runaway Queen
Welcome to Shadowhunter Academy!
The Lost Herondale
What Really Happened in Peru
Through Blood, Through Fire
Pale Kings and Princes
Bitter of Tongue
Forever Fallen
The Lost World
A Deeper Love (my villain origin story fr kill it)
