You know, I think it's interesting that Liliana is exasperated with Imogen for thinking Predathos is going to cause loss of life (outside of the gods), but re: Imogen's dream in ep. 68, when Imogen feels the draw to Predathos, Liliana shouts to her, "Imogen! Please run! I won't let it have you!"

Does this mean that Predathos is not a threat (as far as Liliana has been told) to common folk, but is a threat to Ruidusborn? Does this have something to do with why they are amassing Ruidusborn in Kreviris, in preparation for the mass migration to Exandria? This adds some interesting implications to her statement to Imogen about having children to look after. Does she mean the other young Ruidusborn she has personally called to the moon, as she did Petrov? "It" (presumably Predathos) can't have Imogen, but it can have the other children she's "looking after"?

She also seems to believe that there's a future for her after releasing Predathos, so it feels like she means something more than just giving in to Predathos' influence. She's done that, after all (as far as we know), and she thinks that's not the end of the road. She's trying to convince Imogen that Predathos is not a threat, but at every turn she is also telling Imogen not to get any closer because Predathos is a threat. Which one the fuck is it, Liliana?? Imogen is right for perceiving Predathos/Ludinus' plans as a threat that will cause loss of life because that is how Liliana is treating it every time she pushes Imogen away. So what IS happening with the Ruidusborn recruits that has Liliana so determined Imogen not get close to it? What does it mean for "it" to "have [them]"? And why is Liliana unafraid for herself?

#there is something here and I haven't cracked it yet and it is killing me #like why are there all these young untrained ruidusborn here. that's sus. what are you doing with them. what's the plan here #and if the plan IS sacrificial in some capacity liliana's like #I can excuse manipulating children to be lambs to the slaughter of the eldritch god eater but i draw the line at my own child being there #WHICH IS #anyway yeah imagine me at my pepe silvia board trying to figure this out because that's how I feel #if any of what i've said is factually incorrect...idk whatever it happens whole thing's still sus #critical role #liliana temult

melis has been throwing us for a bit of a loop because growling is so at the top of her communication repertoire, and we've had very standard dogs when it comes to growling ('back the fuck off')

so when this piranha-marshmallow crossbreed makes the devil's noise her spontaneous go-to reaction to any type of poke or prod but seemingly without seriousness or malice or intent to actually create distance, you eventually end up with the whole family council gathered around her in a circle analyzing her every move scratching our heads going "idfk, maybe she just does that"

#we just roll with it and let melis be melis #its not a play growl either and it clearly means some version of Stop That but #if you stop that and give space - as one does when growled at #she goes No Wait Come Back and so #apparently it means Stop This Very Specific Thing But Dont Stop In General #which is #a slightly different definition than what we're used to #she is a VERY outspoken little doggie though so maybe she really just does do that #no hard feelings or insecurity from her end shes just. cheerfully violent.

i think what fatphobes fail to understand is that usually what people think of "unhealthy obesity" is just a literally unhealthy lifestyle that CAN damage your body but it has little to do with your actual weight/fat content, you can be thin and eat crap and have the exact same problems. and i'm not talking about eating crap out of necessity there, just genuinely chronic bad eating habits. very much correlation=/=causation

Grown adults over 25 still just genuinely believe that fat people sit on couch and eat cake and chip nonstop for 8 hours a day and never go outside or anything because they saw it on family guy or whatever.

#It is legitimately baffling how many adult human beings have no idea that fat doesn’t happen exclusively from ‘lazy’ or ‘gluttonous’ behavio #like they think if they eat a pie or something and watch tv for a weekend they will gain 200lbs instantly #and if they simply eat apple and exercise instead they will be skinny and have abs #which is #not at all how metabolism works
