just finished the prison breakout stream. screaming.
those last ten minutes man- my god. what a rollercoaster of events.
the fact that once they were finally free, there wasn't really any screaming or loud celebrating- just pac, mike, and walter standing in silence. staring up at the baby blue sky they hadn't seen in days. the gasps of breath and sighs and sniffles from pac and the way he closed his eyes for a moment, mike saying "o cielo, walter bob. o cielo, finalmente," [the sky, walter bob. the sky, finally], walter punching and jumping, all of them smiling...
(well, we could only see pac and mike, but i assume walter was, too.)
then they usher walter bob to the barbie dreamhouse, offer it all to him, assure him it can be his, giving that comfort and agency he hadn't had for years, if at all. and walter is happy, jumping for joy in front of his new home, looking at his good friends.
then the guard with the lasso comes, and he's gone.
jesus. silence comes again, but instead of pac, mike, and walter soaking in the peace, it's pac and mike feeling the shock and horror setting in. their conversation after- it is tearing me to shreds even now, because even though i understood about 10% of what they were saying, the grief in their voices and expressions alone reached out and grabbed my poor heart.
the way mike took it so badly, you could feel the anger rolling off him in waves as he stormed off, killing rubius' cat on the way, not even talking to pac, who chased after him worriedly, who was just as devastated but still trying to keep himself and mike calm. pac talked gently at mike, offered a hug; mike didn't even turn back. the final book from walter bob definitely didn't help any, and the guard's book was the last straw.
i want to take a moment here to note how they roleplayed bc as someone who really hadn't watched tazercraft before, man did they take me aback. like i said, mike conveyed his upset so prevalently. he barely talked. when they sat down, he crossed his arms, his stoic expression really seeming stressed. and when the guard's message appeared, as pac was reading it, mike took off his headphones, disconnected, and turned off his camera, leaving pac alone. which was just. whoahg. that hit. i felt the upset and the anger with him.
and of course pac, trying to up their resolve and motivation, the little inflections in his voice mixed with both sadness and hope... aghh i melted a little as he tried to get through to mike. as he tried to talk through what had happened though he was just as affected. when mike leaves, pac assures chat (or maybe just himself) that he'll talk to him later, to be calm, thanking chat for watching even though his face was somber and his voice sounded so sad.......
they're so!! expressive!!! they're incredible!!!! again, i did not understand most of the words in their conversation, but in the end that didn't matter, because all i needed was to look and listen to understand what they were feeling. which is awesome. i dunno how much of it was acting and how much was getting sucked into the roleplay, but i do know that the stream? was amazing and devastating. mano. eles são simplesmente incríveis.
i cannot wait to see more. justice for walter bob.

I think the big difference between ambrosius in the comic and movie is less the fact that ambrosius in the comics is an asshole (though of course that does change things) and more the reasons ambrosius in the comics is an asshole. Comics ambrosius is, like Ballister and Nimona, an outsider trying to find a way to survive in the face of a society that tells him he's inconsequential and maybe a little gross. A burden. Potentially Bad, in a way that sticks to his soul. he's trying to be worth something on the only terms he knows how to be worth something. He lies to everyone but especially to himself. He cuts off bits of himself and also of his boyfriend for a chance at conditional acceptance. He's Nimona's rival in the hurt people hurt people olympics! she lashes out and he desperately tries to conform which puts them in conflict with Ballister in the middle desperately trying to minimize the body count. I really do like it very much.

If you put something important (a final exam, for example) first thing in the morning, I just will not sleep the night before. I went to bed earlier than usual but I've woken up almost every hour on the dot, and I've dreamed I'm late or I missed it about ten times now. Ughhhhhhh

Me after I research the way ppl with light coloured hair were treated at school in Japan and make a bunch of headcannons about how Ichigo was probably picked on for his hair since he was little and teachers probably turned a blind eye or encouraged it and Masaki would always come to pick him up and yell at his teachers when they made comments about her 'fixing' his hair so he could fit in and then she decided to put him in karate classes so he could at least learn how to defend himself when she's not there and told him that he has to get big and strong so he could protect himself and his sisters like the superheroes on TV and when she died, everything got so much worse for him and he quit the dojo but he was getting older and bigger kids starting picking on him and beating him up and he wasn't good enough to beat them so he would come home all bruised and yuzu cried every time so he always tried to hide it from her but Karin always knew somehow and Isshin always patched him up and tried to reach out and tell him that he could talk to his teachers but Ichigo always refused because he didn't want anyone to take his mother's place and it would only make things worse for him if he got adults involved and Isshin understood that but hated feeling helpless, like he couldn't do anything to protect his own kid until finally it got bad enough that he couldn't stand by anymore because one of the stupid shits pushed Ichigo down the stairs and he broke his arm so he told Ichigo he would either have to get directly involved or Ichigo had to learn how to fight properly so he could protect himself and obviously Ichigo picked the latter so Isshin basically taught him hakuda because that was the only hand to hand combat he knew and this accidentally made it so that Ichigo dipped into his reiatsu reserves and made him as abnormally strong as he was in canon and after a while this training devolved into their usual silly chaos in canon because Isshin is not nearly as bad as the fandom makes him out to be and that's how they bond:

Some of my favourite House episodes are the ones where he’s kinda delegated to NPC status… like the beginning of season 4 where the new cast is being introduced so they’re the main focus, and he’s just their weird boss that lurks in the dark corners of the hospital waiting for them to screw up so he can wack them with his cane
It really highlights how outside of the audience perspective he is just some cranky old man who is strange and off putting to anyone that’s not Wilson or Cuddy
