It's Spanish Wine Sunday! Yass. My selection for today is the Altos De Torona Triple Varietal 2017  from the Rias Baixas wine region. The wine is a blend of three grapes: Albariño, Loureiro, and Caiño.  The vibrant yellow wine comes through with some intensity as soon as it hits the palate. Comes in a tad sweet  (not too plmuch) then mellows out with a nice acidic finish.  Let's just say it's a sweet tease at the beginning then brings it home with a smooth finish. Some of the aromas you might pick up are mango, white flowers and passion fruit. Worth a sip. Perfect for your summer pairings of fish, shrimp tacos, white cheese pizza, and so on. Oh yasss! Samples of rosé  from Provence have arrived just in time for the weekend so that I can  rosé0 all day. Two of the beauties include: 1) Château Barbebelle Heritage Rosé - The château is from the 16th century and is one of the oldest in Aix-en-Provence. This pink is one of their top wines. The grapes that make the magick in the bottle are Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. 2) Château de Saint Martin Eternelle Favorite Rosé- The winery is part of Cru Classé Provence and has been continually passed down from mother to daughter over the centuries. This rosé has notes of peony, jasmine, and berries.
