بچے کسی بھی قوم کا مستقبل اور بیش قدر سرمایہ ہوتے ہیں۔ ان طفلانِ ملّت کے لیے اَعلیٰ تربیت، عمدہ تعلیم، مناسب پرورش، مہذب نگہداشت اور خصوصی دیکھ بھال والدین اور اساتذہ کی اَوّلین ذمہ داری ہوتی ہے۔ حضور نبی اکرم ﷺ نے ماں کی آغوش کو پہلی درس گاہ قرار دے کر اِس پر صداقت کی سند ثبت کر دی ہے۔ بچے کو اِس عمر میں کسی کتاب یا دیگر علمی ذخیرے کے بغیر براہِ راست آغوشِ مادر سے علم و نور کا فیضان حاصل ہوتا ہے۔ اِس حوالے سے والدین، خصوصاً والدہ کی اَوّلین ذمہ داری اِسلامی تعلیمات اور بچوں کی نفسیات کے مطابق اُن کی تربیت کرنا اور انہیں تعلیم دینا ہے۔ والدین کے لیے بچوں کی نفسیات سے متعلق بنیادی اصولوں سے آگاہی نہایت ضروری ہے۔ بچوں کے ذہن کی گتھیاں سلجھانے کے لیے نفسیاتی اُمور سے جان کاری بنیادی ضرورت ہے۔ والدین کے بعد بچوں کی تعلیم و تربیت کا اگلا ذریعہ اساتذہ ہوتے ہیں۔ یہ شفیق ہستیاں اسے مادرِ علمی میں میسر ہوتی ہیں۔ اسکول میں بچوں کو آنکھ اور کان کی حسیات کا بھرپور انداز سے اِستعمال کرنے کی ترغیب دی جاتی ہے۔ یہاں بہت سی علمی اور عملی مشقیں کرنے کے نئے نئے ڈھنگ اور ذرائع و مواقع فراہم کیے جاتے ہیں۔ یہاں ہر بات مشاہدہ سے بڑھ کر مطالعہ تک جا پہنچتی ہے۔ مطالعہ کا یہ عمل اور اس کے دیگر لوازمات بچے کی شخصیت کو بنانے، سنوارنے اور نکھارنے میں بھرپور معاون ثابت ہوتے ہیں۔
