WWE Monday Night Raw Review: Two #1 Contender Matches

Hi!! If you don't mind me asking how did you get into wrestling/how do you keep up with it? Every time I see you post about it I'm reminded of my interest in it but severe lack of knowledge
hi!! i don't mind at all!! so, my answer here may not be too helpful, because i didn't decide to get into wrestling myself.
i've been watching since the day i was born (like no joke, i got here, forty minutes later smackdown came on and my parents had it on in the hospital room). for my entire life, i've been watching WWE with my parents. some of my earliest memories involve it, having it on in the background, asking questions, connecting with my mum and dad through their excitement at getting to give me answers.
the past few months have been the first time in my twenty-two years of existence that i've ever had to watch raw/sd without them, and that's only bc my parents' schedules have changed, and they aren't home in the evenings. (but even now, i'm still not watching alone, bc i accidentally got my best friend tiana @heartbreakfeelsogood into it, too, and we're having the time of our LIVES.)
but, even though i didn't get into it, the interest was just Given To Me, i do still have some advice for you if you wanna start watching (and i'm using WWE as my general example here, bc it's the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, and it's the one i watch most):
• wrestling isn't actually wrestling:
the match outcomes in pro wrestling are pre-determined, because it's not meant to be a legitimate competition; it's a vehicle for storytelling. it's a tv show about a wrestling show, closer to live theatre or a soap opera. it is still a sport, and the wrestlers are incredibly skilled athletes, and if something looks like it hurt really bad, It Fucking Did. but, they're fictional characters that exist halfway in their own universe and halfway in ours, who experience time at the same speed we do. you can watch them learn, grow, and change, in real time, for years, even decades.
wrestling is fake, and that causes people to brush it off as stupid. but wrestling being fake is exactly why it's good.
• there is no beginning, and there is no end:
wrestling never ends. ever. literally ever. monday night raw has aired every single week, without fail, since january of 1993. like it just never fucking stops.
because of that, there's no good place to start as a new fan. you just gotta dive in headfirst. WWE programming/commentary is very accommodating to new viewers, they take time to replay important segments you may have missed, and explain past events so you have context for what you're watching. anything else, google and youtube. if you wanna dig into wrestling history, there are some great video essayists on youtube who delve into it; my personal favourite is wrestling bios.
in the US, raw's on mondays @ 8pm EST on USA, and smackdown's on fridays @ 8pm EST on FOX. there's other wwe programming on thru the week, too, and all of it is also available on peacock. in canada, i have sportsnet for watching live, and the wwe network as well. if you're in another country, look it up and check. (i can give you my streaming site if you DM me, too, if you're respectably interested in 🏴‍☠️, but bear in mind that ripping WWE shit is Weirdly Fucking Tricky sometimes, bc capitalism is a prison.)
• pick one promotion, go from there:
there is so much fucking wrestling, it's super overwhelming, you genuinely cannot watch it all. WWE, AEW, NJPW, Impact, WOW, the list goes on and on and on and on. pick one company to start, branch out later if it piques your interest.
if you want sparknotes on shows you missed/shows from promotions you don't keep up with, there are a million review channels on youtube to recap them. i do that personally to know what's happening in AEW, bc i don't watch their stuff week-to-week. i like whatculture wrestling's ups and downs series, the host simon is incredibly positive and fun-loving, and it's great.
• remember it is not that serious, and a lot of the internet wrestling community doesn't know what fun is:
wrestling makes people mad sometimes. fans who are really deep into it/the backstage stuff, called marks/smarks, are the most fickle, bitchy group of people on the fucking planet. if you wanna interact with other wrestling fans, on any social media, just remember that you're allowed to have your opinions and they're allowed to have theirs, and just because they say a match/story/whatever is shitty doesn't mean it actually is. wrestling fans love complaining more than they love wrestling itself.
it's just like any other fandom; step in, look around, find your friends, hang out with them and don't bother with the bullshit. if wrestling's pissing you off more than it is entertaining you, you can take a break from it. it's just a show!
if you wanna watch, just start. you'll pick it all up as you go. i think it's the coolest form of storytelling there is, and i think you'll have fun. BE FREE!

For anyone trying to fat shame Eddie Kingston, fuck you. So what if he doesn’t look like a damn male model, the man is still hot as hell 🤷🏻‍♀️
The man is hands down one of the best wrestlers in AEW and y’all are more fucking worried about the fact that he doesn’t have 6 pack abs. It’s a shame that people seem to forget that the most over guys in wrestling weren’t guys that looked like models, but guys that looked human (Dusty Rhodes & Mick Foley).
It’s disgusting that somehow we went from getting pissy about how Adam Cole is too skinny to be a wrestler to Eddie Kingston is too fat to be a good wrestler. Both of these guys are phenomenal performers and I’ll proudly say I’m a fan of both.
*I’ll add that Roman Reigns was also recently fat shamed and I’ll say the same thing now that I did when Ro was fat shamed, they all look healthy and that’s all that matters to me as a fan*

The Blue Brand Wrestling Blog #5 Watching WWF in 2000 (Heat & PPV’s)
The Blue Brand Wrestling Blog

The Blue Brand Wrestling Blog #5
Watching WWF in 2000 (Heat & PPV’s)
Hey there guys & girls,
I’m Andy Mac, AKA The Blue Brand owner and creator (@The_Blue_Brand) on X / Twitter. I thought I would delve into the world of blog writing and what better thing to write about than my favourite pastime Professional Wrestling.
Today I thought I’d discuss my earliest memories of watching professional wrestling. In particular WWF Heat throughout the year 2000. In the UK, RAW is WAR and SmackDown were on Sky television, a satellite service my parents didn’t pay for as it was expensive for the time. Thankfully Channel 4, a free to watch channel on UK television would air WWF Sunday Night Heat every Sunday afternoon after Football Italia would finish. Later on, Channel 4 would air Heat during the early hours of Monday morning, thankfully my dad would record these episodes for me. I’d get up early before school on Monday mornings, turn the television and VCR on and check out the episode before school.
Tumblr media
You might think ‘poor Andy, only getting to watch Heat back then’ well, yes and no… Heat would often feature Edge & Christian, The Hardys (With Lita), The Dudleyz, Too Cool, T &A (Test & Albert with Trish Stratus) Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero and occasionally Chris Jericho. I even remember them giving us a random Triple H match once (The opponent escapes my memory) and even a random Kurt Angle Vs Crash Holly for the WWF Championship match which I still vividly remember as a kid.
Tumblr media
On top of that, they would usually also feature the two best segments or matches from the previous WWF RAW is War and WWF SmackDown. These were great ways of finding out what was going on with the ‘big’ shows regarding the WWF Championship. Quite often these segments included your usual main eventers from the time – The Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Triple H – Kurt Angle – Stephanie McMahon (Love triangle), Kane, Benoit, Foley etc…
As an added bonus to this, Channel 4 would usually air around four PPV’s a year for free. If my memory is right, it would be January (Royal Rumble), May (Backlash), July (Fully Loaded / Invasion in 2001) and December (Armageddon / Vengeance in 2001)
I remember my first PPV being Fully Loaded 2000, an absolutely stacked show that to this day I still love. Advertised were three main events – WWF Championship, Rock & Benoit. Triple H & Jericho in a Last Man Standing match and The Undertaker & Kurt Angle in a feud over Angle destroying the Undertakers motorbike by accident! (Haha)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
The opener was a 6-man tag between the Hardys & Lita vs Test, Albert, and Trish Stratus – This was a fun first match which the crowd was hot for. We also got Tazz vs Al Snow, Saturn Vs Guerrero for the European title, APA Vs Edge & Christian for the World Tag Team titles.
But my favourite match from this show as a kid was Val Venis with Trish Stratus Vs Rikishi inside a steel cage for the WWF Intercontinental title. As a kid, I loved Rikishi, I was so invested in his run as Intercontinental Champ. Him jumping from the top of the cage on to Val before Tazz screwed him over when he tried to escape the cage blew me away. I guess this just proves that everyone on WWF television during this time was over and had a character that nearly everyone was invested in.
Tumblr media
I wish at times that we could go back to these days; the business was so hot and even as a young kid it felt like you were watching and experiencing something special.
Anyway, that was just a quick insight into my WWF viewing as a kid in late 1999 into the year 2000. I might at some point watch and review WWF Fully Loaded 2000 and Armageddon 2000 (I was so excited for the 6-man Hell in A Cell match!)
Anyway, I’ll stop rambling on now. Thanks for checking this fifth blog out. I’m a self-confessed WWE fanboy, always have been since I started watching WWE as a child. However, as you can hopefully and probably tell I’m trying to broaden by Professional Wrestling palate and horizons. If there is anything else you can recommend, I’m open to suggestions. I’m taking a break from my 9-5 office job at the moment and trying to fill my time!
Please leave feedback, if it’s constructive then I’ll always appreciate it. I’m always happy to learn and to become better. Please keep it respectful though, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
Take it easy guys,
Andy

#Wwe crime tyme series
“Along with Steph, Nick and Paul, we look forward to executing our ambitious plans and delivering for our shareholders.” “I’ve had the great fortune of working closely with the talented people at WWE in a variety of capacities over the past 15 years,” said Riddick. He will jointly report to WWE Chairwoman & co-CEO Stephanie McMahon and co-CEO Nick Khan. As President & CFO, Riddick will oversee Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategy, Controllership, Investor Relations, Tax, Data Analytics, Technology, Event Travel and Facilities. During that time, WWE has announced annual and quarterly records for Revenue and Adjusted OIBDA. Riddick joined WWE as Chief Financial Officer last year, after serving on the company’s Board of Directors for more than 13 years and previously holding the role of interim CFO. “Having spent my entire career in this business, I’m confident that we have the right pieces in place to continue to grow our audience and deliver for our fans around the world.” Here is the official statement from WWE: “WWE is one of the most prolific producers of premium content in the world and I look forward to this amazing opportunity,” said Levesque. The role will report to WWE co-CEO Nick Khan. Now, Levesque will oversee Creative Writing, Talent Relations, Live Events, Talent Development and Creative Services. Triple H has had stellar reviews since taking over creative for WWE in the wake of Vince McMahon’s retirement and legal issues, with a 15% boost in viewership on Monday Night RAW and double-digit boosts in social media engagement. Riddick III to President & Chief Financial Officer. Additionally, the company has promoted Frank A. We spoke to Jayson this week about his books and adventures as a WWE wrestler.WWE formally announced today that Paul “Triple H” Levesque has been elevated to Chief Content Officer. Along the way, it offered clues as to why Cryme Tyme failed to reach the summit of Mount Tag Team in WWE.īuoyed by favourable reviews of his first book, Jayson released the sequel last month, Damn! Why Did I Write This Book Too?, which featured more cautionary tales for aspiring WWE wrestlers, alongside anecdotes from his time in WWE. Last year, Jayson Paul published the memoir Damn! Why Did I Write This Book? A frank and humorous account of his years in WWE, the book revealed what a wrestler should and should not do to get ahead in WWE. He was released from his WWE contract in June 2014. Though the charismatic JTG and Shad were one of the most popular teams of the era, they never captured the tag title.Īfter Cryme Tyme’s split in 2010, JTG was unable to gain a foothold and make an impression as a solo performer.
#Wwe crime tyme series
JTG and team-mate Shad Gaspard were introduced by WWE as partners in crime, quite literally, via a series of spoof “training videos” in which they tested their speed and endurance by robbing a smoothie store and fleeing from a police officer.Ĭryme Tyme debuted on the OctoRaw, where they defeated WWE tag champs The Spirit Squad in a non-title match.

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/23/19 Review
This was a pretty good edition of Raw, although it didn’t really build towards Hell in a Cell. It mostly built towards next week’s episode, so that is kind concerning. But there wasn’t anything that was glaringly bad, and there were a few pretty good matches too. So this was a much more fun edition of Raw, and it was actually pretty fun to watch. This is my review of this week’s Raw
Before the show even started, a bunch of the fiend’s graphics were all over the intro, which was cool as all hell.
Seth Rollins Promo: He said that he has never felt fear like the kind of fear that the Fiend has been giving him. He said that although he was worried about the match, he will fight and he will win. He said that he has faced adversity before, and he will face it again. He will stomp the Fiend into the mat and retain his championship, because he beat Lesnar and Strowman both when the odds were stacked agains him. Then Braun Strowman interrupted, and grabbed a mic. Strowman said that if he was going to talk crap about him, to do it to his face. He said that unlike the Fiend, he doesn’t hide behind silly puppets. He then blamed Rollins for losing the Raw Tag Team Championships, and said the he resented Rollins for not wanting him to challenge for the Universal Championship again. Rollins said that he just didn’t want to fight Strowman again because Strowman beat the crap out of him, but if he wants to lay down challenges, then he’d be more than happy to fight tonight. Strowman accepted the challenge, and the match was booked.
Grade: B-. Pretty good promo. Rollins seemed genuinely shook about Wyatt, which was a good way to put him over. Then the stuff with Strowman, which wasn’t as good, but still an effective way to give Rollins a match this week. The challenge makes sense, and Wyatt still feels special.
The Viking Raiders vs. The OC: AJ Styles was out with the OC. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson came out to some cool new theme music, but I’m not positive how I feel about it. Anderson and Erik started the match, and the Viking Raiders quickly got control with their raw power. Gallows then came in and isolated Erik from his corner, although Erik also quickly tagged out and let Ivar take down Gallows. At one point, Ivar was on the apron, and fight off both members of the opposing tag team, only to get distracted by Styles and eat a roundhouse kick from Gallows. The ref then threw Styles out, and as he was leaving, Cedric Alexander attacked him on the ramp, and they brawled into the back. The OC then started to work over Ivar with various strikes, but Ivar nailed a seated senton and gave Erik the hot tag. Erik destroyed both men with his awesome strikes, before the two double teamed Anderson. They nearly got the win, but Gallows tripped up Ivar as he went for a springboard, which gave the OC a spinebuster and then the boot of doom for a near fall. Erik then fought out of a magic killer, and gave Ivar the hot tag. The Raiders then popped Anderson up for a Viking Experience, and Erik gave Gallows a suicide dive as Ivar got the pin.
Grade: B. This was a pretty good tag match. The crowd was getting into it, and there was some good action. I think that both teams look really good, and either could end up in the tag team championship scene any day now. It will likely be the Viking Raiders, and I’m willing to bet that they will be the next Raw Tag Team Championships.
Robert Roode interview: He said that he would win the fatal 5-way because he has pinned Seth Rollins before, so he can do it again if he is given the chance.
Becky Lynch Interview: Lynch talked about how she wanted her next championship match in Hell in a Cell, because she wanted to beat down Sasha Banks while she was on a hot streak. She also said that while Banks was in the last women’s Hell in a Cell match, she lost it, and Bayley will be locked out. So she has enough confidence to win the match.
Rusev vs. EC3: The two men started out with some striking and power moves, with Rusev quickly putting EC3 on his back with a swinging Uranagi and some suplexes. He quickly nailed a Machka kick and locked in the Acolayde and won.
Grade: C+. Bulgarian Squash.
Rey Mysterio backstage: He talked about how he has had doubts in previous weeks, but said that Dominic told him to win it, and he dedicated the Fatal 5-way to him.
Sasha Banks vs. Nikki Cross: Bayley was in Banks’ corner, while Alexa Bliss was in Cross’s. The two locked up in the beginning, with Banks quickly starting to launch strike after strike at Cross, who threw them right back. Nikki gained control through the use of armdrags and such, with Banks fighting from behind. She was able to get control with a couple double knees to the shoulders of Cross and continued to work over the shoulders. She then started to work Cross’s leg in a similar way to what she did to Bliss last week. Banks tied Cross’s leg in knots, and although Cross was able to fight back a bit, Banks’ holds mostly went unanswered, until she kicked Banks out of the ring and destroyed her with a crossbody off the apron. She continued to destroy Banks with strikes on the outside and trapping Banks in the apron, and even broke out of a Bank Statement by countering the backstabber with a swinging neckbreaker. Bayley then distracted the ref, and Bliss ran over to attack her at ringside. Cross then went for a flying crossbody, but Banks rolled through it and locked in the Bank statement for the win.
After the match, Banks locked her submission in on Bliss as well.
Grade: B-. Fine match, Cross looked pretty good here. I don’t think that they did quite enough to bump the grade up at all. The outcome wasn’t really in question, and Nikki Cross has been losing a little too much lately.
The OC Backstage: Styles yelled about how Cedric Alexander needed to learn his place. No one was in his league, not even the other competitors in the fatal 5 way. He will win that match, because no one else stands a chance.
Street Profits backstage: they hyped up the Raw for next week, and some of the bigger matches this week. They hyped up all the Fatal 5-way competitors, and started to talk about the Maria’s baby thing, when Miz interrupted. Miz then came by, announced that Maryse had their second child, and that he would be welcoming Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair on Miz TV next week. The fans booed about Hulk Hogan being on it.
Lacey Evans vs. Ember Moon: Moon quickly dropped Evans with a single leg dropkick right out of the gate, and proceeded to mock Evans. Evans took control with striking and such, but Moon was able to get in spurts of offense. At one point, we saw Moon hit a stunner on the outside after catching her feet on the bottom rope and spinning off of it. Moon then went up for the Eclipse, but Evans grabbed her hair and kept her down. Evans then locked in a Sharpshooter for the win.
After the match, Natalya was interviewed backstage about Evans using the SHarpshooter. Natalya said that Evans’ sharpshooter wasn’t mastered yet, and then granted her rematch.
Grade: C+. Evans really isn’t in the same league as Moon in terms of ring work, but I get that she needed to win this. This grade would’ve been worse of Evans was in the ring with someone other than Moon
Firefly Funhouse: Wyatt updated his wall of people that he took out by putting Kane up there. Ramblin Rabbit and Huskus the pig were fighting over a Seth Rollins action figure, and Wyatt told them that sharing wasn’t easy. He told them to to be too attached to things, because it makes them weak. Ramblin Rabbit then said that he didn’t want the Fiend to hurt Rolllins, and Wyatt said that the Fiend was only trying to protect him. The Fiend doesn’t like to share, but Ramblin and Huskus could. Wyatt then pulled the figure into two figures and told the crowd that he’d see them in hell. Good stuff, I love how Wyatt talks about the Fiend.
24/7 Shenanigans: R-Truth and Carmella ran into the ring, and Carmella started to plead with them to stop chasing them. Carmella was sick about never being able to stop. Everyone stopped, but Carmella then rolled up Truth to win the belt, and Truth celebrated with her. The Raw Women’s Locker Room then chased them around.
Grade: C+. Eh, its a change of pace, so I’m into it. Also, Graves was concerned that this would affect his life. Fun times.
Sasha Banks and Bayley backstage: The two talked about how Becky was stupid for thinking that she could keep the Raw Women’s Championship away from Banks. Banks would then be the last woman standing after Hell in a Cell.
Sami Zayn & Shinsuke Nakamura Backstage:  Zayn was hyping up Nakamura, and seemed more nervous than Nakamura himself. Nakamura said something in Japanese to quiet him down, and Zayn just said “you’re right, I’ll stop.” I like this relationship.
King Corbin vs. Chad Gable: Corbin came out with some theme music that was mixed in with a regal theme, which I thought sounded cool. Before the match, King Corbin got on the mic, and said that he wouldn’t be out here long, because the match would be quite short. Corbin slowly took off all of his gear, and was taunting Gable. When the match started, Gable was running circles around Corbin, hitting strikes whenever he could and locking in holds here and there. Corbin slowed the match down quite a bit after a huge lariat flattened Gable. Gable did start to fight right back, even forcing Corbin to roll out. As he did, Corbin attacked Gable as he crawled out of the ring, and he threw him into the crowd before cutting to a commercial. As we came back, Corbin nailed his lariat after running around the post. Corbin then locked in a headlock, with Gable desperately trying to break out of it, only to be launched into the corner viciously. Gable fought back a bit with some quick offense and striking, only to eat a big boot and immediately fall back down. Corbin then started to pummel Gable in the corner over and over, but Gable fought back with a trio of rolling kicks. He then tried for a moonsault, but Corbin crotched him and launched him into the mat at huge speeds for a near fall. Corbin then yelled at the ref a bit, but the ref wasn’t having any of it. Corbin went for a chokeslam, but Gable countered it with a sunset flip pin for a near fall, only for Corbin to nail a chokeslam on the second try for another near fall. Gable fought back with strike after strike, hanging Corbin up on the top rope, hitting a huge German suplex and then a moonsault for a close near fall. Corbin then tried for the end of days, but Gable rolled through it and locked in the ankle lock. Corbin nearly made it to the ropes, but instead he grabbed his scepter and beat Gable with it for the DQ.
Corbin continued the attack after the match.
Grade: B+. Another really strong match that the crowd got super into. Corbin looked good, Gable continues to be a great underdog, and the crowd is desperate for him to get a win. The DQ means that we may get another match between them, which would be fine. I doubt Gable will get a win, but even being in this spot has improved his standing. Match of the night.
AOP Vinette: The two showed everyone who they were by attacking a couple guys backstage. Short but sweet.
Rey Mysterio vs. Ricochet vs. AJ Styles vs. Robert Roode vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in an Elimination match for #1 contendership to the Universal Championship: Roode immediately left the ring, while Mysterio and Ricochet remained in the ring. The two worked together to keep the heels out, and eventually Mysterio nailed a moonsault to the outside as Ricochet hit a twisting plancha to the outside. When we came back from commercial, Ricochet was still controlling the ring, until Styles dodged a suicide dive and nailed a lariat to put him down. Roode and Styles then teamed up a bit on Ricochet, until Roode tried to attack Styles, only for Styles to dodge it and hit a pele kick for a near fall. Ricochet then through Roode out while Nakamura beat down Styles on the outside. Nakamura then took out Ricochet with a high kick, and then ate a senton from Mysterio, leaving Mysterio and Ricochet alone again. The two showed some quick high flying offense for just a bit, until Styles ran in and beat them both down. Ricochet and Styles then renewed their rivalry, until Ricochet took him out with a big dropkick. Ricoceht and Roode then fought a bit, with Ricochet nailing Roode with Recoil, only to eat a Kinshasa and get eliminated by Nakamura. Ricochet was the first man out.
When we came back from commercial, Nakamura was looking for a superplex on Mysterio, and Styles joined in to help him. Roode then came by for the powerbomb to launch a huge tower of doom, and Roode tried for a pin on each guy involved. Roode then fought with Nakamura, and the two traded huge strikes and kicks, with Nakamura even hitting a flying knee for a near fall. Nakamura then fought off Styles for a bit, before eating a splash from Mysterio. Mysterio then nailed the 619, but Styles caught him before the splash and hit a brainbuster on the apron. Nakamura then held Roode in place for a Phenomenal Forearm, but Roode dodged it and Styles nailed Nakamura for the elimination.
Right after that, Roode gave Styles the Glorious DDT for the next elimination, leaving Mysterio and Roode.
Roode then went for the Glorious DDT on Mysterio, but Rey countered into a rollup for a near fall, and then set Roode up for the 619, only to be intercepted by a spinebuster for another near fall. Rey then went for a seated senton, but Roode caught him, Roode then went for the Glorius DDT, only for Mysterio to counter into 619 position. Mysterio then hit the 619 and the splash for the win.
Grade: B+. There was a lot of star power in this match, and everyone had their chances to shine, but things were a little choppy whenever wrestlers would transition from one mini match to another. Everyone looked good though and I think that Rollins vs. Mysterio will be an awesome match. Good booking and a good match.
Seth Rollins interview: Rollins said that Mysterio will be a worthy opponent, and he feels a little overwhelmed now, but he will conquer every problem that he is dealing with.
Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman: Rollins started out by trying to avoid Strowman, but was quickly taken down by shoulder tackles, strikes and lariats. Rollins nearly got the Pedigree, but Strowman powered out and went for the shoulder tackle on the outside, but Rollins hopped into the crowd, only for Strowman to floor him with a headbutt anyway. The two then got back in the ring, and Rollins started to work the leg and go for a sleeper hold, but Strowman quickly got out of it. ROllins then nailed a superkick and a top rope blockbuster for a near fall. Rollins then hit a pair of frog splashes for a near fall, and was annoyed about it. Rollins then put Strowman on the outside, and hit a pair of suicide dives to take him down. He then went for a third, but stumbled a bit so that Strowman could catch him and hit a chokeslam on the apron. He then did a lap around the ring and took out Rollins with some shoulder tackles. He then nailed a Running Powerslam on the floor, and rolled Rollins back in. He picked Rollins up for another Powerslam, but the lights went out. The Fiend then ran out and locked in the Mandible Claw on a screaming Strowman. Rollins looked terrified in the corner, but his screams were totally dumb. The show ended with the Fiend’s laughter echoing through an arena with the lights out.
Grade: B. This was a pretty good match, with an ending that is is kinda suffering from the law of diminishing returns. That finish has happened two weeks in a row, and unfortunately, it is getting less exciting. But the match was pretty good, and I still like the feud. Let’s just hope they don’t rehash this three weeks in a row.
Overall Grade: B-, but a pretty strong B-.
Pros: viking raiders vs. oc; King corbin vs. gable; fatal 5-way; Rollins vs. Strowman
Cons: Not a lot of development towards Hell in a Cell. This show really treaded water.
