MAY 19/2020. RIDDLE#21
a personal loss
LOSS CAN BE MANY THINGS. WE HAVE SEEN THE MASSIVELY TALENTED MUSICIAN, ADELE, COME OUT IN SUPPORT OF THE SUSSEXES, TWICE RECENTLY. SHE, AS I HAVE SAID PREVIOUSLY, POSTED A PHOTO OF HERSELF NEARLY UNRECOGNIZABLE. SHE HAS LOST SO MUCH WEIGHT AND HER FACE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. SHE OWES NONE TO ANYONE, ITS HER PERSONAL JOURNEY. I TRULY DOUBT THOUGH THAT SHE IS PERSONAL FRIENDS WITH THE SUSSEXES OR WE WOULD HAVE HEARD FROM HER BEFORE, SO WHY NOW? SHARED PLASTIC SURGEONS PERHAPS?
the Dynamic Duo…………
THIS USED TO BE BATMAN AND ROBIN. THEN THERE WAS THE FAB FOUR WHICH ORIGINALLY WERE THE BEATLES, THEN TWO ROYAL COUPLES, ONE OF WHICH NEVER REALLY EXISTED. WE HAVE SEEN THE EMERGENCE IN THE LAST YEAR OF A VERY CONFIDENT ROYAL COUPLE AND FAMILY, THE CAMBRIDGES. THEY ARE MARVELLOUS. THEY ARE AND HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS AND CONTINUE TO DO MARVELLOUS WORK REGARDING THE AREA OF MENTAL HEALTH AND WERE BRILLIANT DURING NURSES WEEK.
FPhishing……
THIS IS SCAMMING ONLINE. MOST OF OUR ROYALS AND FORMER GIRLFRIENDS, HAVE BEEN HACKED BEFORE, NOW THEIR SECURITY IS HIGHEST LEVEL. SO WHO IS PHISHING OR BEING PFHISHED? MADAM PERHAPS? SHE HAS NO MI5 OR ROYAL SECURITY ON HER DEVICES THAT IS CERTAIN.
Nlcola Nike Snike …………
SNP MINISTER, MY THEY SEEM TO HAVE IT OUT FOR MS STURGEON. RUMOURS OR MISLABELS OF COVERUP OF COVID 19 AT A NIKE CONFERENCE IN EDINBURGH IN FEBRUARY. SNIKE MEANS S***.
Hydroxy- foxy(do not do this at home)…………………”
I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE ANY DOCTOR COULD PRESCRIBE THIS. THE U.S. PRESIDENT HAS STATED PUBLICLY HE HAS BEEN TAKING HYDROXYCHOLORQUINE FOR A WEEK AND A HALF BECAUSE HE BELIEVES IT PROTECTS HIM FROM CORONOAVIRUS STRAIN CIVID-19. THIS DRUG IS GIVEN FOR MALARIA AND A NUMBER IF OTHER THINGS BUT THE PRODUCT MONOGRAPH IN NO WAY SUGGESTS ANY INDICATIONS OF USE FOR THIS PURPOSE. ALL PRESCRIPTION DRUGS HAS MONOGRAPHS WHICH ARE EXTENSIVE, INDICATIONS FOR USE, CONTRAINDICATIONS, SIDE EFFECTS ETC. ITS A BIG BOOK VALLED THE CPS IN CANADA. NO RECOMMENDATIONS YET THAT THIS IS FOR TREATMENT OF COVID AND IN FACT IS QUITE DANGEROUS.
“a suitable case for ( shhhhh) treatment “
SILENT TREATMENT IS SHHHHH. SO WHAT HAS BEEN DEEMED SUITABLE TO STAY SILENT? ARCHIES REAL SEX, LOCALE, PARENTAGE? THERE ARE MANY FACTS THAT WE WILL NEVER BE PRIVY TOO. WHEN HARRY WILL BE BACK? DIVORCE SOON? IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED HOPEFULLY ANNULMENT BUT I REPEAT MYSELF.
HER CASE, AS IN LEGAL CASE, AGAINST THE MOS, I BET SHE WISHES SHE HAD REMAINED SILENT. HOW AND WHERE IS SHE GOING TO FIND FIVE FRIENDS TO TESTIFY? YEP, IN THIS CASE, IT IS SUITABLE THEY REMAIN SILENT, FOR THEIR OWN FUTURE.
NO FORMAL ANNIVERSARY WISHES FROM THE CAMBRIDGES, HMTQ……..SEEMS TO ME ANNULMENT OR DIVORCE, KIDS YOU KNOW I ME, I AM IN THE ANNULMENT CATEGORY, HAPPENED THE DAY THEY VISITED CANADA HOUSE. SO THERE IS TO ANNIVERSARY TO CONGRATULATE THEM ON, SINCE THEY ARE NOT MARRIED😁😁😁😁
“ no comment “
NO COMMENT INDEED. THE BRF HAVE STATED THEY WILL MAKE NO FURTHER PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE SUSSEXES MONTHS AGO. SO THIS PAYBACK OF FROGMORE RENOVATIONS IS BEING LEFT TO PR AND THE MEDIA AND IT IS LOOKING PATHETIC.
“ a game of cards old thing “…………… “patience Philip ……………” ………… ma’am , it’s Charlotte and George on tic-toc…………… “dance, gan, gan, you dance, … Sydney!!
BACK TO WINDSOR, HMTQ AND HIMSELF ARE PLAYING CARDS, GONE IS THE JIGSAW PUZZLE. HE IS IMPATIENT WANTING HER TO MAKE HER MOVE, SHE IMPLORES HIS PATIENCE. THEY ARE INTERRUPTED BY SYDNEY, THE CAMBRIDGE CHILDREN ARE ON TIK TOK…SOCIAL MEDIAS NEWEST SERVICE THAT ALL THE YOUND KIDS ARE USING NOW. SOUNDS THEY HAVE MUSIC GOING, ARE DANCING AND THEY WANT GAN GAN TO DANCE ALONG….HIMSELF HAS HAD ENOUGH OF THE NOISE CALLING FOR SYDNEY! I HOPE THEY HAVE RESTOCKED HIS BODDINGTONS. 🤣🤣😂😂.

MAY 19/2020. RIDDLE #22
TWO YEARS TODAY THE GATHERING OF UNHAPPY PEOPLE🤬😡🙁😩🥺😫😖
Ana-adversity ……
THROUGHOUT THE COVID EMERGENCY WORLDWIDE THERE HAVE BEEN AND STILL ARE CRITICAL SHORTAGES OF PPE, SUPPLIES, TEST KITS, VARIETY OF, TESTING IS WOEFULLY LOW IN NUMBERS, VARIOUS REGIONS HAVE VARIOUS EXPLANATIONS. HEALTHCARE WORKERS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL WORKERS JAVE BEEN PLACED AT HIGH RISK OF ADVERSITY AND MANY HAVE DIED WORLDWIDE.
the gathering marital storm…………
WE ARE IN FOR NEWS VERY VERY SOON. I HOPE IT IS ANNULMENT BECAUSE THAT MEANS AUTOMATIC LOSS OF MADAM’S TITLE BUT DIVORCE IS GOOD TOO. THE GACT THAT THERE WERE NO ANNIVERSARY WISHES CRICKETS 🦗🦗 FROM ANY OFFICIAL ROYAL TWITTER, INSTAGRAM ETC THAT I AM AWARE OF. EVERY DAY THERE ARE ARTICLES BRINGING HARRY’S NAME BACK IN, TODAY REMINDING US HE WAS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE TRIO THAT STARTED HEADS TOGETHER. KIDS ANY DAY A HEADLINE WILL HAPPEN AND 💜💜🐼💜💜 PAGE WILL GO GREEN. I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!
“first family visit will be the United States when normalisation hits ma’am” …………”life will return ma’am”………
I BELIEVE HMTQ TO BE SPEAKING WITH LG, HE IS REASSURING HER THAT LIFE WILL RETURN, RESUME THE WAYS OF LIFE. AS THE PROCESS OF UNLOCKDOWNING IS COMING, THINGS WILL BE CLOSELY MONITORED. SOUNDING LIKE ONCE ALL IS COPACETIC, THE CAMBRIDGES WILL BE OFF TO AMERICA FOR A VISIT. THAT PUTS A SPANNER IN THE MIX OF MY IDEA/DELUSION OF CATHERIN BEING PREGNANT. MM ANON, EVER SINCE YOU USED THE PHRASE, SPANNER IN THE MIX , WAY BACK LAST YEAR IN A RIDDLE. I USE IT ALL THE TIME!! I THOUGHT CANADA HAD BEEN ON THE DIARY BEFORE ALL OF THIS. EITHER WAY IT WILL BE HUGELY POPULAR.
Who is that? ……………
NOW THIS CLUE BEFUDDLES ME. WHO IS ASKING THE QUESTION? COUKD BE MANY THINGS. WE HAVE ASKED OURSELVES THAT IN MADAMS RECENT PHOTOS, THEY ARE SO BIZARRE, SHE LOOKS SO UNLIKE HERSELF. BUT BETTER, WHO IS FARRY? THAT WAS A GREAT POST OF THE PHOTO SHOWING THIS CHAPS COMPLETELY BALD HEAD FROM THE BACK. THIS IS SOME LOW PAID LIKELY OUT OF WORK ACTOR. IS HE COMPLICIT TO FRAUD.? IS IT ILLEGAL TO PRETEND TO BE A PRINCE? I DONT KNOW BUT I SURE KNOW HE IS NOT NOT NOT OUR HARRY.
guesting the testing ………
SO MUCH CONTROVERSY NOW ABOUT COVID TESTING. IN THE DM, I WAS READING THAT THERE ARE TRUTHS COMING OUT NOW ABOUT DECISIONS MADE AROUND ADEQUATE TESTS, ADEQUATE SUPPLIES OF TESTS AND ADEQUATE NUMBER OF TESTS HAVING BEEN DONE BETWEEN THEN AND NOW. WHO HAS THE BEST TEST? IT IS NASAL PHARYNGEAL WHICH TAJES DAYS AND MANY FALSE NEGATIVES OR FINGER PRICKS/SEROLOGY AND HAS ITS OWN ISSUES. TRACK AND TRACE WAS NOT DONE IN EARLY STAGE IN THE U.K.
“ they won’t return early ma’am”……
HMTQ IS SPEAKING WITH LG AGAIN, REASSURING HER THE CAMBRIDGE CHILDREN WILL NOT RETURN TO SCHOOL EARLY. SAFETY IS PRIORITY ESPECIALLY FOR THE CHILDREN DIRECTLY IN LINE OF SUCCESSION.
……… “one speaks to Catherine,daily , and the little ones” ……… “it’s interminable Sydney,” …” a Little top-up sir”
AS USUAL OUR DEAR MM ANON ENDS WITH A SCENE BETWEEN HMTQ AND HIMSELF. SHE IS SAYING SHE KEEPS DAILY CONTACT WITH CATHERINE AND THE EVER GROWING CAMBRIDGE CHILDREN. I WONDER IF PART OF THIS IS PER MY SPECULATION IN A PREVIOUS RIDDLE OF THE CLUE FOUR, MEANING CATHERINE IS EXPECTING. GENERALLY DURING HER FIRST TRIMESTER SHE HAS SUFFERED GREATLY. HIMSELF IS SAYING THIS PROTRACTED LOCKDOWN IS INTERMINABLE. EITHER THAT OR HIMSELF IS IRRITATED BY THE NOISE OF THE CHILDREN IS🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂. SYDNEY KNOWS WHAT MEDICINE HE NEEDS AND OFFERS HIM A TOP UP ON HIS BODDINGTONS!
GSTQAOBC 🇨🇦🇬🇧🇦🇺🇳🇿
gstqaobc GUYS IT JUST HIT MY THICK BRAIN, ANA ADVERSITY IS THE TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE GATHERING OF UNHAPPY PEOPLE IS TODAY. WHAT A MESS THAT WAS AND THE BLUNDEROUS FALLOUT SINCE THAT TIME.💜💜🙏🏻🙏🏻😊😊PG😊😊🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜 GSTQAOBC 🇨🇦🇬🇧🇦🇺🇳🇿

MAY 21/2020. RIDDLE #23
5 years old ‘ COVID security ………
UK SCHOOLS SET TO RESUME JUNE 1ST. THERE WAS A RIDDLE CLUE THE OTHER DAY I INTERPRETED , IT SAID SOMETHING LIKE THEY WONT’T RETURN SOON. I TOOK THAT TO MEAN THE CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY AS BEING IN THE DIRECT LINE OF SUCCESSION WOULD NOT RETURN SOON. THERE IS A RISK WHEN THIS RESUMES. I THINK THE RIGHT DECISION WILL BE TAKEN. ACCORDING TO HELLO CANADA, CHARLOTTE WOULD BE THE FIRST TO LEAVE ISOLATION AS YEAR 1 AND YEAR 6 STUDENTS RETURN JUNE 1ST. I AM CERTAIN ALL SECURITY WILL HAVE BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE TESTED AND ISOLATED AS WELL. THERE IS A SERIOUS RISK HERE, AS WE ALL KNOW.
transmission admission??………
PRINCE CHARLES HAD COVID-19! PM BOJO HAD IT, NOW WE KNOW JACK’S FATHER WAS DEATHLY ILL WITH IT. THEY ALL ARE RECOVERING OR RECOVERED . I THINK PM BOJO NEEDS MORE TIME TO RECOVER, HE LOOKS SO PALE AND UNWELL IN THE PAPERS. AFTER HIS MORNING RUN. HAS THERE BEEN A BLIP IN SECURITY OR EXPOSURE HERETOFORE NOT TOLD? HAS THERE BEEN A LAPSE RESULTING IN THESE INFECTIONS OR THE GENERAL POPULATION. THERE IS GREAT TENSION FROM MAN Y TOWARDS CHINA, MANY PEOPLE BELIEVE THE TRUE NATURE AND SEVERITY OF THIS CORONAVIRUS WAS NOT SHARED TRUTHFULLY AND QUESTIONS ABOUT THE W.H.O. I WONDER, AS WITH MANY THINGS, WE WILL EVER BE GIVEN THE COMPLETE TRUTH. THERE HAS BEEN AN INCREASE IN ANTIASIAN INCIDENTS OF VERBAL AND PHYSICAL INCIDENTS IN 🇨🇦. PHARMACEUTICALS HAVE BILLIONS TO EARN FROM POTENTIAL TREATMENTS OR VACCINES.
1st. June. ……………
THIS IS OR HAS BEEN THE DATE SET FOR PRIMARY GRADE 1 AND 6 STUDENTS TO RETURN TO CLASSES. I WISH THEY WOULD JUST LET THE WEE ONES BE DONE. THE GRADUATING STUDENTS ARE THE ONES MY HEART HURTS FOR.
MIGHT THIS BE THE DAY HARRY OFFICIALLY RETURNS A WELL?🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
A pollution solution …………
WITH THE WORLD LOCKDOWN, MANY EMISSIONS THAT POLLUTE THE WORLD HAVE BEEN DRASTICALLY DIMINISHED. I REMEMBER A FEW WEEKS AGO ON THE BLOG, SOMEONE POSTED THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS TAKEN OF THE HIMALAYAS. THE FOLKS IN THAT PART OF THE WORLD HAD NOT SEEN THEM VISIBLE FOR 30 YEARS OR SO. WHEN WE RESUME LIFE THERE IS NO GOING BACK. CREATIVITY IS ALREADY ABOUNDING IN ENDLESS WAYS. IT TRULY WILL BE A BRAVE NEW WORLD BUT IN A GOOD SENSE. MANY CAN WORK FROM HOME, LESS MASS TRANSPORTATION BUT THAT WILL DEFINITELY HAVE A TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMIC EFFECT FOR SURE. I HOPE THOSE BRILLIANT MINDS CAN USE THIS TO LESSEN POLLUTION PERMANENTLY AND DEAL WITH THE POLLUTION THAT IS DESTROYING OUR BEAUTIFUL PLANET GOD GAVE US TO STEWARD.
free at last………
THIS IS A LINE FROM DR KING, SPEAKING OF THE PLIGHT OF CIVIL RIGHTS AND REFERENCE TO SLAVERY IN AMERICA MANY YEARS AGO. HARRY HAS BEEN IN A RELATIONSHIP/PR SLAVERY OF A SORT, I WONDER AND PRAY AND FEEL VERY STRONGLY WITH THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY NOT MENTIONED BY ANY OF THE BRF, ANNULMENT OR DIVORCE ANNOUNCEMENT IS IMMINENT. I KNOW I HAVE SAID THAT A ZILLION TIMES BUT IT SEEMS THERE ARE MORE INDICATING SIGNS THAN PREVIOUSLY.
kiss 💋 me 😱😱😱…………
REMINDS ME OF KISS ME KATE, THE MUSICAL, JUST THE FIRST WORDS. KISSES TODAY CAN BE FATAL. WHO WANTS A KISS AND WHO GIVES A HORRID KISS. I REMEMBER 18MONTHS AGO, AT THE POLO, MADAM AWARDED THE TROPHY AND KISSED HARRY. HE GRABBED THE CHAMPAGNE AND TOOK A BIG SIP, SWISHED HIS MOUTH AND SPAT IT OUT AS TO GST RID IF HER MOUTHS TASTE. GROSS WHERE THAT MOUTH HAS BEEN, I CANNOT BEAR TO THINK. IS MADAM GOING TO TRY AND GET HIM TO KISS HER SOMEHOW?? OR WORSE YET THREE KISSES? IS SHE GOING TO TRY AND GET OUR CAMBRIDGE KIDDIES TO KISS HER?
another Father???……………
OH THE PR, 🇨🇦DAVID FOSTER IS ON HIS 547TH YOUNG WIFE AND PR IS HE IS LIKE A NEW FATHER TO FARRY= FAKE HARRY. PR HURTS SO BADLY AND NADAM IS GETTING HER DIGS IN AT EVERYONE. SHE IS SO EVIL.
Spanish,French and judo 😂😂😂……………
I LAUGHED AT THE PHOTOSHOPPED PICS ON THE BLOG OF A VERY FIT WOMAN DOING MARTIAL ARTS WITH MADAMS FACE GLUED ONTO THE BODY. HARRY HAD A GO AT MADAM AT CANADA HOUSE ENCOURAGING HER TO SPEAK FRENCH🤣🤣😂😂. OF COURSE SHE COULD NOT, SHE HAS TOLD SO MANY LIES, THESE THREE ARE JUST THREE SMALL DROPS IN AN OCEAN.
lies,damm lies, and MM………
I HAVE TAKEN TO CHECKING THE URBAN DICTIONARY, NORMAL SPELLING IS DAMN FOR THE CURSE OR DAM FOR THE THING THAT HOLDS BACK WATER. ACCORDING TO URBAN AND THIS IS DISGUSTING DAMM IS DRUNKS AGAINST MADD MOTHERS, PLAY ON MADD…MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING. A DAMM IS ALSO A COIN IN OLD INDIA.
SO IS MADAM LYING ABOUT FOREIGN MONEY OR IS THERE A HISTORY OF IMPAIRED DRIVING. ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING, AS OUR SKIPPY SAYS, IS POSSIBLE. THE ONLY THING WE KNOW FOR SURE IS NOTHING IS AS OT SEEMS, TOLD US OR PURPORTS TO BE.
an expensive squat…………
SQUAT IS A TOUGH EXERCISE, VERY CORE STRENGTHENING FOR SURE. IT IS ALSO A POSITION MANY WOMEN USE DURING LABOUR AND CHILDBIRTH. IT ALSO MEANS TO APPROPRIATE SOMEONE PROPERTY. THERE ARE, IN SOME PLACES, LAWS THAT PROTECT SQUATTERS RIGHTS AND THE RIGHTFUL OWNER CAN HAVE A WHALE OF A TIME TRYING TO GET THE COURTS TO EVICT THEM. IS MADAM SQUATTING IN ANY WAY? THIS IS TYPICAL HER, USING AND ABUSING ANYONE AND ANYTHING. USING PHOTOSHOPS OF TP’S MANSION AND PR LIES THAT HER AND A BALD HEADED “H” ARE THERE. I THINK THIS COST MIGHT NOT JUST BE IN MONEY BUT IN FREEDOM. AS WELL ON E THINGS FINALLY CATCH UP WITH HER. SCALES ⚖️.
A Greece-y gamble. …………
WE KNOW MADAM HAS YACHTED ALL OVER THAT PART OF THE WORLD. IS SHE USING SOME INFORMATION GAINED DURING THAT TIME TO GET SOMETHING FROM A CLIENT THERE? I KNOW LINDSAY LOHAN IS DOING EXTREMELY WELL. FOR HERSELF THERE WITH HER RELATIONSHIP WITH AN OLDER MAN. LAST I HEARD SHE HAD TWO NIGHTCLUBS OR WAS IT THREE…
“ is one sitting comfortably’ good, Once apon a time “
MM ANON AGAIN CHOOSES TO END WITH MY FAVOURITE PART, HMTQ QUIET TIME, SHE HAS REGULAR FACETIME CONTACT WITH THE CAMBRIDGES AND WE HEARD TIK TOK TOO🤣🤣😂😂😂. SHE IS READING A STORY OR A BEDTIME STORY TO THE CAMBRIDGE CHILDREN. HOW SWEET. OH WILL BE GOOD WHEN SHE CAN HUG THEM AGAIN AND ALL OF US.
Thank you😊❤️❤️

MAY 21/2020. RIDDLE#24
“what , seen at Lympstone “…………
THE ROYAL MARINES COMMANDO TRAINING CENTRE IS IN LYMPSTONE. IS THIS A SIGHTING OF OUR HARRY, THE REAL ONE. HAS HE BEEN BACK SERVING THERE?? IF TRUE, I THINK THIS WOULD BE FANTASTIC!
a Diplomatic retreat ………
AFTER FIRMLY STATING I BELIEVE IT WAS A £400 CHARGE FOR FOREIGN WORKERS TO ACCESS THE NHS THE OM HAS WALKED THAT BACK. THERE WAS A HUGE PUBLIC RESPONSE TO A SOCIAL MEDIA POST BY A BADTA AWARD WINNING FILMMAKER WHO NOW WORKS AS A HOSPITAL CLEANER SHARING HIS PLIGHT. SINCE THAT RESPONSE OM BJ HAS WALKED BACK THAT POLICY.
A-Nul-ment…………
THIS IS WHAT I KEEP HOPING FOR AS IT MEANS AUTOMATIC LOSS OF HER STATUS AND TITLE. SOUNDS LIKE, WITH THE WORD NUL,MEANING VOID, THE ACTUAL MARRIAGE IS VOIDED FOR A VARIETY OF ALLEGED REASONS. THIS IS FANTASTIC AND AS WE HAVE ALL DISCUSSED HERE.
NY bio-diver-city………
NYC HAS A HUGE HUGE PROBLEM WITH COVID. YET NEAR STATES HAVE MUCH LESS . NY STATE IS AS VARIED AS THEY COME. GET OUTSIDE THE COTY, RANCHES, GREENSPACE, HORSES, ITS BEAUTIFUL. WITHIN HUMANS WE EACH POSSESS UNIQUE DNA, BUT YET DIFFERENT RACES AND MUXED RACES CARRY DIFFERENT GENETIC RISKS OR SENSITIVITIES. I READ A VERY INTERESTING ARTICLE ON HOW THE RICHER BOROUGHS IF NYC HAVE FAR FEWER CASES OF COVID THAN THE POORER ONES. THERE ARE ISSUES WITH ACCESS TO CARE AND AFFORDABILITY OR SO THE MEDIA REPORTS. (NOT BEING POLITICAL JUST EXPRESSING MY OWN THOUGHTS)
facegrime …………
IMMEDIATELY I HAD A VISUAL OF PRINCE LOUIS MAKING CAKE POPS WITH HIS FACE FULL OF STICKY YUMMY CAKE BITS. THIS IS FACEGRIME….FACETIME IS APPLE.
THE WORD GRIME , MAKES ME THINK KF MADAMS GREASY FACE AND THICK LAYERS OF BRONZER, MAKEUP ETC HAS SHE BEEN USING OLD SCHOOL LIKE ME, FACETIME, TO PLEAD FOR MONEY? OR TRYING DESPERATELY TO REACH H? YOU THINK SHE WOULD HAVE GIVEN THAT UP BUT SHE WILL NEVER.
Charles, a man for all see-sons………
A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS IS FANTASTIC PLAY, THEN FILM ABOUT SIR THOMAS MORE, WHO REFUSED TO ANNUL HENRY VII MARRIAGE TO CATHERINE OF ARAGON. THIS ALL LED TO THE KING BEING NAMED THE SUPREME HEAD OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND,AND THANK GOODNESS SHE KEPT HER HEAD.
SO CHARLES IS VERY MUCH A MAN OF PRINCIPLES. I SHALL LEAVE IT TO YOU TO COMPARE HIM TO THOMAS MORE.
HAS HE BEEN SEEING HIS SONS VIA SKYPE, ZOOM, FACETIME? I FULLY BELIEVE SO. NOW MORE THAN EVER, WITH MADAME’S ESPECIALLY HURTFUL PR REGARDING DAVID FOSTER BEING LIKE A FATHER TO HARRY, DIRTY MEAN VICIOUS PR, THEY NEED SUPPORT FROM EACH OTHER.
thermal Heathrow …………
GONE ARE THE DAYS OF MERCURY THERMOMETERS, ORAL AXILLAE OR RECTAL TEMP CHECKS. IMAGINE THAT AT HEATHROW😮😮🤣🤣😂😂😂THERMAL TEMPERATURE SCREENINGS ARE BEING TRIALED AT HEATHROW. IT IS AMAZING, HOW MUCH OF OUR PRIVACY AND OUR DAY TO DAY GOING ABOUT WE HAVE JUST SIMPLY COMPLIED WITH. SOME SAY CONSPIRACY OTHERS SAY COOPERATION IS ESSENTIAL TO GETTING THROUGH THIS. WHAT DO YOU THINK/BELIEVE? I AM CURIOUS.
1st Solo address …………
IS HARRY GETTING READY TO ANNOUNCE THE ANNULMENT OR DIVORCE PUBLICLY IN PERSON. TILL NOW IT HAS ONLY BEEN VIDEOS AND FAKE HARRY PR. WOW THIS WOULD BE AMAZING AND HOW WOULD HE RELISH BEING THE ONE IN CONTROL OF PUBLICITY AFTER YEARS OF BEING CALLED EVERY INSULTING WORD IN THE BOOK.
high-end-ing …………
MADAM HAS A HISTORY OF MANY VARIOUS HOBBIES. CURRENTLY LIVING THE “HIGH” LIFE AT TP’S MANSION IN L. A…..RIGHT AND I CAN RUN A MILE!!! THE ENDING OR HER LAST DAYS AS A WIFE PUBLICLY, WE ALL KNOW IT WAS OVER AT CANADA HOUSE, SHE HAS MILKED THE LIES. WE KNOW SHE IS ON SOME COUCH SOMEWHERE IN THE U.K. SHE HAS LEGAL TROUBLE IN AMERICA, NO WAY SHE IS THERE. SHE CERTAINLY HAS MANY WILLING TO LIE FOR HER,BUT WHY? WHAT IS TO GAIN EXCEPT THEIR NAME IN THE MEDIA ASSOCIATED WITH MADAM. UNLESS THE BACKERS PAID OFF. EITHER WAY, NO MATTER, THE ENDING IS NEAR AND CHANCES ARE HOBBIES ARE USED TO COPE.
“ clever children, , such a lovely dance”……… “ no darlings gan-pops with Sydney “………… “ yes’ we’ll all bake a cake “………… “ pretty Jim-jams Charlotte “.
AS USUAL MY FAVOURITE MM ANON TIME. HMTQ IS COMMENTING ON SEEING THE CAMBRIDGE CHILDREN ON TIK TOK MOVING AND GROOVING AS WE USED TO SAY. HUGELY POPULAR CARE CAKE POPS ON A STICK, ITS BASICALLY AFTER YOU BAKE A CAKE , YOU SQUEEZE BITS OF IT INTO LITTLE BALLS OR POPS AND PUT ON A STICK. KIDS LIVE THE PARTICIPATING BECAUSE ITS MESSY AND TASTES YUMMY.
THE CHILDREN WANT GAN GAN TO HELP BUT CATHERINE SAYS NO, HMTQ DOES THIS WITH SYDNEY🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂. SO THE WHOLE GANG IS IN ON THE FUN, EVEN LITTLE LOUIS, PERFECT AGE. SOUNDS LIKE AFTER ICING OR FROSTING, THEY ARE DECORATING THEM. IN CANADA WE CALL THEM COLOURED SPRINKLES, IN PARTS OF AMERICA THEY ARE CALLED JIMMIES, IN THE U.K. JIM JAMS!

MAY 22/2020. RIDDLE #25
88 two fat ladies ………
WILLIAM AND CATHERINE DID AN AWESOME JOB OF VIRTUAL BINGO WITH SENIORS. THEY MUST HAVE BEEN TUTORED BECAUSE THERE IS SUCH A THING AS, BINGO ETIQUETTE. YOU DON’T CALL NUMBERS TOO FAST, AND NUMBERS GET A FUNNY NAME. SO 88 BINGO BALL TWO FAT LADIES🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂I LOVE IT. TAKES ME RIGHT BACK TO CHILDHOOD GOING FROM LEGION TO LEGION WITH MY PARENTS AND PLAYING BINGO.
two blacked out Discovery’s in St Leonard’s
MADAM IS BEING TRANSPORTED. I AM TAKING IT THAT HER HOSPITALIZATION OR CONFINEMENT HAS CHANGED. WHOO HOO, THIS BRINGS ME AGAIN HOPE OF AN ANNULMENT ANNOUNCEMENT VERY SOON!! AGAIN I SAY, THE STAR CHAMBER CERTAINLY MUST HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY AND HAS THIS CASE EXACTLY SOLID NOW IN TERMS OF COERCION OF MARRIAGE, ALLEGEDLY, TREASON ETC ALL FICTIONAL AND FOR ENTERTAINMENT OF COURSE 😉.ACTUALLY THIS MIGHT BE THE FIRST TIME SHE HAS BEEN NEAR SUSSEX AT A TIME WHEN TITLE DUCHESS OF SUSSEX SHALL SOON NO LONGER EXIST. ALLEGEDLY OF COURSE. ALSO FITTING IT IS A SEASIDE TOWN, AS WE KNOW MADAM LOVES BOATS AND ALL THAT GOOD CLEAN FUN 😉.
……… Priti Draconian ……
AS I WROTE ELSEWHERE, PRITI PATEL STATED THE GUIDELINES, I WILL NOT REPEAT, SCROLL DOWN PLEASE. SOME PEOPLE FEEL SOME OF THE GOVERNMENTS MEASURES HAVE BEEN AND ARE ARE FAR TOO AUSTERE AND THERE MAY BE A LOCKDOWN BACKLASH. DRACONIAN IS A TERM FROM DRACOS CODE…STIFF SEVERE RULES OR LAWS, UNNECESSARILY SO RIGID, UNBENDING. STIFF RULES FOR LEAVING AND ENTERING THE U.K. WERE ANNOUNCED THIS EVENING, WITH SERIOUS FINES.
pray,or else!! …………
THIS IS MY LIFE MOTTO. PRAYER IS ESSENTIAL. THERE WAS AN ARTICLE IN THE DM TODAY ABOUT HMTQ FAITH AND HOW SHE MISSES THE FELLOWSHIP OF ATTENDING CHIRCH ON SUNDAY MORNINGS. IF YOU ARE INCLINED,I ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ IT. I KNOW WHERE HER STRENGTH AND FORTITUDE COMES FROM.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
gel my temperature ………
OK, THE FIRST THING I THINK OF IS SOMEONE TRYING TO FOOL THE THERMAL BODY SCANNER OR FOREHEAD TEMPERATURE SCANNER BY USING COOLING GEL. IN 🇨🇦,IT IS CALLED ICY HOT, GREAT FOR JOINT PAIN OR MUSCLE ACHE. ITS LIKE RUBBING ALCOHOL BUT IN GEL FORM. AS US OLD NURSES KNOW, BACK IN THE DAY, WHEN A PATIENT HAD A HIGH FEVER WE WOULD WIPE THEM DOWN WITH RUBBING ALCOHOL. ARE SOME PEOPLE USING THIS METHOD TO TRY AND FOOL THE SCANNERS? DISGUSTING IF TRUE. ITS COLD AT ROOM TEMPERATURE BUT KEEP IN THE FRIDGE ITS EXTREMELY COLD.
wash your hands then wrinkle cream ………
MM ANON, EVERYTIME YOU WRITE ABOUT WRINKLE CREAM, I SELF PROJECT BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN A RUNNING THING HERE FOR SOOOOOO LONG, MY LOVE OF ALL CREAMS AND SERUMS..CURRENTLY USING PRAI AND KORRES COMBINATION. FABULOUS. AS RESTRICTIONS ARE BEING EASED, HANDWASHING IS A MUST. IT IS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS YOU LEARN IN NURSING SCHOOL , THAT AND MAKING A PROPER BED. ALL NURSES KNOW WHAT A BIG DEAL THEY MAKE ABOUT THAT.🤣🤣😂😂😂😂. SO WITH EASING OF SOME RESTRICTIONS, HAND WASHING, MASKS HERE ANYWAYS. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE WITH OR WITHOUT A MASK. SO WHAT, NOW ITS OK TO USE WRINKLE CREAM?? I HAVE BEEN USING IT ALL THROUGH THIS LOCKDOWN! SERIOUSLY IT IS JUST REMEMBER TO KEEP WASHING YOUR HANDS OFTEN, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE, USE HAND SANITIZER AS RESTRICTIONS ARE EASED UP. BE SAFE EVERYONE 💜💜🙏🏻🙏🏻💜💜
a memorial event …………
THIS WEEKEND IN AMERICA IS MEMORIAL DAY, THEY ALSO HAVE VETERANS DAY. 🇺🇸 ARE VERY PROUD OF THEIR VETERANS AND THOSE WHO CONTINUE TO SERVE, AND MY HOW RIGHTLY SO. THEIR PRESIDENT SPEAKS SO OFTEN OF HOW HIGHLY HE VALUES THE MILITARY AND IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT HE HAS BUDGETED AND BUILT IT STRONGER THAN EVER. IF INAM WRONG PLEASE CORRECT ME, B😊UT NICELY PLEASE? MY HOW I ADMIRE THEIR NATIONAL SPIRIT AND PRIDE. THIS MEANS IT IS A LONG WEEKEND. WITH SOME RESTRICTIONS BEING LIFTED IN MANY PLACES, MY PRAYER IS FOR HAPPY PEOPLE TIME, OUTDOORS, BBQ, ENJOYING THE FRESH AIR , ALL WHILST REMEMBERING ALL GAVE SOME…SOME GAVE ALL. 🇺🇸
Hong-Gone…………”
HONG KONG, CITY IN CHINA, HANDED OVER FROM THE BRITISH JULY 1/1997. WOW IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY. PRITI PATEL WAS ADDRESSING THE NATION THIS EVENING, I WATCHED HER ON BBC WORLD. SOUNDING LIKE HOPES PEOPLE HAD FOR HOLIDAY MAY BE DASHED. FOREIGNERS OR THOSE RETURNING FROM SAID HOLIDAY WILL BE REQUIRED TO QUARANTINE FOR 14 DAYS. BEFORE BEING ALLOWED ENTRY, THEY HAVE TO PRODUCE A PLAN, ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. THERE WILL BE STRICT FOLLOWING. THE FIRST OFFENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE IS A FINE OF £1000. AFTER THAT FURTHER OFFENCES THE FINE WILL BE “UNLIMITED”.
“well, wake him up Sydney!!………… “bloody hell Sydney “ ………… “ sorry ma’am , Charlotte wants to play bingo”……… “ wonderful , clickerty duck”
YESTERDAY WILLIAM AND CATHERINE HAD A FABULOUS TIME PLAYING BINGO VIRTUALLY WITH SENIORS. AS ALL PROFESSIONAL BINGO PLAYERS KNOW, THERE ARE A
WAYS CUTE SAYINGS AFTER EACH NUMBER. I COMMENTED THIS YESTERDAY, AT LENGTH. MY PARENTS PLAYED EVERY NIGHT OF THE WEEK, I KID YOU NOT.
SO WE HAVE PRINCESS CHARLOTTE INSISTING SYDNEY DISRUPT HIMSELF’S NAP TO PLAY BINGO WITH HER VIRTUALLY. I TAKE IT HE IS NOT AMUSED🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂. POOR EVER PATIENT SYDNEY. APOLOGIES TO HMTQ FOR THE INTERRUPTION. CLICKETY DUCK WHAT BINGO NUMBER IS THAT? 75 TOP OF THE HOUSE , 1 BOTTOM OF THE HOUSE , HERE 66 IS CLICKETY. CLICK SO I AM GOING FOR 66!! I COULD GO ON AND ON ABOUT BINGO, TYPES OF GSNES ETC BUT I WILL STOP NOW!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you 😊❤️

44 million? …………
THE HEADLINE WAS £44 000 000 WAS WHAT THE PEOPLES COST WAS FOR THE SUSSEX WEDDING. OUTRAGEOUS ESPECIALLY FOR THE SHABBY SHOW IT WAS. HOW MUCH PUBLIC MONEY WAS RIFLED AWAY IN AN OFFSHORE BANK ACCOUNT BY SOMEONE AND HER CRONIES. OH INQUIRY BECKONS.
anons’ how much on clothes?………… ““still looked trash”…………
THE UNBELIEVABLE OVERUSAGE OF GIVENCHY AND BAIT AND SWITCH BILLING TWICE SCAM GENERATES A LOT OF REVENUE. CRIMINAL REVENUE. AGAIN WE HAVE A WEBSITE WHO HAS BEEN FLOGGING EVERY SINGLE ITEM. ALOT OF MONEY. WHERE IS IT? INQUIRY BECKONS. ALTHOUGH FOR THIS AND PREVIOUS CLUE INQUIRY HAS LONG BEEN DONE AND KEPT TRACK OF, MANY ARE GOING TO FALL.
evidences of past yachting 😱😱😱😱😱
WILL WE FINALLY SEE THAT DOSSIER OR PARTS THAT THE DM HAS AND OTHER OUTLETS HAVE BEEN SITTING ON? OR HAVE EVEN MORE COME TO LIGHT? TO QUOTE GAME OF THRONES..”WHAT IS DEAD NEVER STAYS BURIED”. NO MATTER FILTH ALWAYS EVENTUALLY IS REVEALED AND CLEANED UP. MAYBE NOT IN A TIMELY MANNER BUT EVENTUALLY.
………… LA EX?? …………
LAX AS WE ALL KNOW IS THE AIRPORT IN L.A. CALIFORNIA. IS ONE OF MADAMS EXES COMING TO GIVE INFORMATION TO THE STAR CHAMBER OR THE SECURITY SERVICES? THEY HAVE BOTH SAT QUIETLY BY AT LEAST PUBLICLY ANYWAYS. INTERESTING IF THIS WERE TRUE.
OF COURSE MADAM IS NOT IN L.A. SHE HAS NEVER LEFT THE U.K. DESPITE HER BAD PR FLURRY TO THE CONTRARY. I DEFINITELY BELIEVE THEIR MARRIAGE ENDED, OOOOOH HUGE THUNDER HERE NOW😮😮😮😮, SORRY GOT A STARTLE BY THAT, AT CANADA HOUSE BY A OR D , I HAVE SAID IT SO OFTEN, I HOPE FOR A AS IN ANNULMENT.
“ in Exeter”……………
A NURSE I USED TO WORK WITH HER DAUGHTER MARRIED A CHAP FROM EXETER, SHE BROUGHT ME A LOVELY PAIR OF CELTIC CROSS EARRINGS FROM THERE. WHAT NOW WE HAVE A SIGHTING IN EXETER? All Danish borders are closed as of today noon 14 March 2020.
Found this interesting article about the Corona/Covid-19, writen by a Danish medical doctor, Iza Alfredsen, Ærø. (For international friends reading it; this represents a Danish perspective with unusually high confidence in government.)
***
COVID-19 has broken out in Denmark. The outbreak is so massive that, contrary to other countries around us, we have given up on containing it. The battle is lost even before the horrors start. We know that we have to slow down the virus. We know that we are going to see more deaths that we can accept. We could maybe accept 6,000. However, if the virus continues at the current rate of infection, the death toll will be even higher. Unacceptably high. Inconceivably high.
STAGE ONE:
At first, all is well. No deaths. It is primarily the “young, rich, and beautiful” who have brought the disease home [from skiing vacations] that are being tested and taken care of by the health authorities – and who report that Corona is “just a cold.” And it is. For the most part. Snot, fever, and a sore throat. On Instagram and Facebook, we can follow a twenty-year-old’s unfair struggle against loneliness under quaranteen. Missing mommy and daddy and the unfairness of having to struggle both against the cold and the urge to drink beer with friends. The struggle against vaginal fungus seems tougher than Corona, and many young people are instigating rebellious anti-movements where they party and gather as a rebellion against the apocalyptic prophecies (those old assholes like me who have read books and not had an honest chlamydia infection in years). That was stage one.
STAGE TWO:
This week, we are entering stage two. We assume everyone who has a fever and a cold has Corona. And if they are otherwise reasonably normally intelligent and immuno-competent, then they are asked to stay at home and take care of their fever and snot, and otherwise stay indoors. It works fine in rural Denmark. But, the tabloid news papers are flooded by the Capitalist elite, that cannot cope with having a runny nose and not get tested. Be different! Wipe your nose, watch Netflix, stay away from others. Don’t go out among others until you have recovered. Actually, wait until 3-4 days after you have recovered. It is not because the health authorities not would like to send you a packet of kleenex and determine precisely the cause of the runny nose. It is because others are dying from what you are perceiving as annoying. Fever is annoying. Coughing is annoying. Snot is annoying. But, if you are young and healthy, the risk of getting severely ill from Corona is comparable to that of the Flu. Endure.
Everyone will get Corona, but we hope and pray for two things:
– that the number of ill does not exceed the capacify of the health care system; and
– that the really ill do not contract Corona before we have an effective cure.
The third hope is the vaccine.
The second stage is uncomfortable. Many will experience fever, coughing, snot, and general discomfort. One worries. Will I survive? If you are young, below 65, and otherwise fit, the answer is yes. Just as likely that you would survive a case of the Flu. The statistics are on your side. The numbers are working for you.
STAGE THREE:
Here, we, the health care personnel, and the patients will face hell before the onset of death. The time for stage three is soon. Two weeks after we reach 5,000 infected, we hit the abyss.
There are no more intensive care vacancies. Every day, we remove people who we would otherwise have saved from the respirators, because of the sheer number of people arriving. So many, so fast. Prioritization (the most important medical competence: who should we kick out) becomes number one. We put people to die just because their survival chances are a mere 25%, but the new ones arriving have a 50% chance. We sedate them a bit. It is very uncomfortable to suffocate in ones own secretion fluids.
But more are pouring in. Patients in the emergency units are beginning to remove their facial masks, they receive upon arrival, because they can’t breathe. They have been there for hours. Some for days. They have seen people collapse on the floor. Without anyone coming to help. There are no doctors. 20% have Corona and the numbers are rapidly increasing. There are no more facial masks for the medical personnel, so we go to work every day carrying the risk. A few infected patients fight their way to the uninfected unit, desperate for help. There, where infected cannot go. There lies traffic accident victims with open wounds, children with astma, and young people with appendicitis. And some of them will die. The twenty-year-old woman with the inflamed appendicitis. It burst without anyone noticing. All doctors were busy with those who were even more ill. But now it is too late. She has bacteries in the blood and there are no one to operate. She receives anti-biotics, but the intestines have stopped. Finally, she gets operated on, but can’t come out of the respirator again. She ought to. But it’s too late, because she contracts Corona in the chaos and Corona preys on the weak. And today that was her. Before hell broke loose, no one would have imagined it possible to die from appendicitis at the age of 20. But today is not any day. All illnesses one curable now carry a high death toll. But it gets worse. 40% of the doctors are now infected. And the ill are arriving so fast. At a nursery, 40 out of 66 residents have died from Corona. But they weren’t admitted, because there wasn’t room and it was hopeless. They were left dead for a week, before there was capacity to remove them. The smell on that warm morning in May 2020 was unbearable. So many, so fast. Two doctors have committed suicide. That is rather common for doctors, but two from the same unit is more than we are used to. The nurses are at 50% infected. They have closer contact with the patients. Everything is chaos. A few doctors and nurses have collapsed under the pressure. They are being put into the linen deposits to sleep. After two or three months it dies out. As sudden as it all started. 75,000 dead.
DOES IT HAVE TO COME TO THIS?
No. The Prime Minister gave us a unique opportunity to stop it. A unique opportunity to stand together, each of us. In a safe Corona distance of two meters. Most of Denmark have shut down. And life cannot continue as before. Nothing is as before!
WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
We need to obey. Say “yes sir.” And take orders. It is estimated that the curve we are entering is too steep. It rises so fast, that we in no time will consume all available resources in the health sector, if it continues. The country does not shut down for two weeks because we are scared of a couple of hundred deaths and a snotty cold. The collapse of the entire health care system and the ordered conditions we have in Denmark are right around the corner. Number crunchers are calculating how much infection we can cope with (because we cannot stop it) over the course of a week, how much we need to shut down in order to achieve a slow down, that will yield just enough to make us make it. The guestimation landed on a total shut down of the public sector exceping safety-critical functions, a recommendation to stay at home, hasty legislation on increased mandates to uphold quaranteens, and, not least, the recommendation to stay at home.
Translated this means that in three weeks we will be in so much trouble that a twenty-year-old will die from appendicitis or a swollen finger, if we don’t obey. Not to mention all the cancer patients who will lack treatment. The ill children that will suffer.
We have to listen. Now.
And we are told: stay indoors. Avoid gatherings. Stay calm.
If all this Corona is too hard to understand, then memorize: Listen to the authorities.
STAY AT HOME
Even if you feel like visiting your friends, so that you can have a beer and discuss how wildly exaggerated all of this is, don’t. You can cause a chain of infection. You are young. You will live. But, you will contribute to many people suffering. Even if it only happens in three weeks. So, be responsible. Stay at home. Clean your halo. Play Counter-Strike or FIFA. It is healthy. Find fun things to do without visiting each other physically. Limit encounters with others. If you have to, go shopping at odd hours or order food online. It is almost like Robinson. Survive. Alone. But, with Netflix and modern toilets.
WASH HANDS, APPLY ANTI-BACTERIAL GEL, AND RELAX
If you do this, you have done what you could to contribute. Be introvert. Learn to avoid the attempts of contact from others. I, for one, hate when people want to hug. Normally, I just put out my hand, but in these Corona-times, I would consider a round-house kick, if someone initiated those kind of greetings. Ew.
YOUR PARENTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR WORK
Stay at home with your family. Your parents are in the risk group. They should get into the first wave of infected. Spare them. And if you get layed off by your work? Then they are fools.
GO TO WORK
IF, you are part of safety-critical personnel, then, yes, it is your damned duty to come to work and contribute what you are able to. There are advantages and disadvantages for everything. While all others are at home, I sit and read directions from the authorities and are in phone conferences. These are hours I will never get back. And there is a risk by doing nothing about the Corona apocalypse. But, it is not so high, if you are under 65.
CANCEL EVERYTHING
Parties, family dinners, football practise, walks in the city. No. Just no. The curve is too steep. We have ONE chance. Cease it.
ORDER ONLINE
Easy, convenient, and breaks the chain of infection.
KEEP DISTANCE. SHOW CONSIDERATION
Put a note under the door of the old person living next to you. Should I shop for you? Help your friends who have contracted a cold to get the right amount of sympathy. Via the phone!
USE MEDICAL SERVICES CORRECTLY
Do not call upon the medical services, if you are neurotic about Corona and your runny nose; call your friend instead. You probably have Corona, but your doctor has other things to do. Everybody has a runny nose. Call if you are ill or have serious illness and have concerns. Do not use the doctor-on-call servicesas your personal psychologist who can help you endure a runny nose, sore throat, or joint aches. The health services are mustering and focussing on the really ill.
THE END
We write the end ourselves. What we are doing right now will be what we will harvest in two weeks and the deaths are in three. Choose wisely. Be heroic. It is the time for heroism. Never before. It is us between 15 and 50 who are propulsing the infection. We have a responsibility to stop it. Even if it does not hit us so hard, it will hammer the ill and old. Be the one who socially responsibly declines social gatherings. Be the one who obeys. Use social media. Spread the message. Start the wave now.
Even if I don’t know the end and can only see the contours, I will say “Never. Never. Again.”
Next time, we will have the experience. It is now that we are writing history. And we will. From today.

[I didn’t agree with the derogatory references to the “young, rich, and beautiful” or “capital elite”, and didn’t like the oversimplicity word “number crunchers”, but I found it exceptionally well written.]

JACOBIN MAGAZINE
In September 2017, feeling the first twinges of labor, I walked beyond the ten-block radius my ob-gyn had prescribed me, defying her bed-rest orders for one reason: to tour day-care centers and get my unborn kid on as many wait lists as possible.
I knew I had to take the risk only because I’d worked for three years on youth and family programs at a high-quality New York nonprofit.
When I’d started in 2012, our preschool had a two-year wait list. By the time I left, the wait list had swelled to almost four years, which meant that most children who had been added to the list never got into the program. We had at least twenty applications for children in utero, and two for children who hadn’t yet been conceived. Sometimes mothers mentioned to me that they’d miscarried, but would like to keep their application open, and did in fact conceive again before receiving an offer of admission. One baby died while on the list.
My program was unusual in that it featured a first-come/first-serve “need blind” admissions process and substantial tuition assistance to families who could prove that they needed it — but its $37,000 a year price tag was all too typical for American childcare.
For the Church, life begins at the moment of conception. For an American baby, life starts much sooner — the moment a parent (almost always a mother) begins to think about how and when she can afford to have a child, and who will care for the child when she returns to work, as the vast majority of parents must do. If she has been in the same job for a year and worked at least 1,250 hours for an employer who also happens to employ at least fifty people within a seventy-five-mile radius of her workplace, then she will be eligible for twelve weeks of unpaid time off and continuation of health benefits under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). She may be able to extend that slightly further with unused sick time — assuming she has any.
FMLA is an accommodating piece of legislation passed during the labor-punishing Clinton era, which applies to a little over half of US workers. It was the Democrats’ polite throat-clearing sigh, a gentle nudge in the general direction of our bosses, asking “Please sir, can I have my job back after taking care of my dying daughter?” when working families needed a paid family leave program comparable to the rest of the world’s, and a universal, federally funded childcare program. Since 1985, the majority of mothers of preschool children have participated in the workforce, and in the thirty years since, unprecedented growth in wealth inequality has transformed an urgent need into a moral and economic crisis. Now, as Baby Boomers age and a smaller percentage of the population has young children, there are fewer adult advocates for their needs.
”At the same time we thrust new parents back into the labor market, we also insist that they comparison shop for childcare in a country with no national standards for quality, accessibility, or safety.”
There is no reason we can’t have nationally subsidized, paid parental leave and childcare today. At present, public spending on early childhood education and care in the United States represents less than 0.5 percent of GDP, less than any OECD country besides Croatia, Latvia, and Turkey.
At the time of its bipartisan passage in 1993, the Chamber of Commerce warned that FMLA set a “dangerous precedent,” and John Boehner muttered something about “the light of freedom growing dimmer,” but twenty-five years later, a vast majority of employers report that complying with FMLA is easy and has had a positive or neutral effect on their workplaces. It is the sole non-means-tested federal provision for American families in the first few weeks of their children’s lives. Still, the burden is on parents to obtain doctor’s notes and coordinate it — and even it can hardly be called universal.
Employers approve, but how has it turned out for families? Many of those who are eligible can’t actually afford to take it. A full quarter of American mothers return to work less than two weeks after giving birth. Marissa Mayer aside, those who return soonest are most likely to be working class. Mothers who do not have housekeepers or nannies are constrained in their parenting choices, such as whether and how to breastfeed, and are more susceptible to depression.
One factory worker described breaking down in tears of exhaustion while pumping in a parking lot after a twelve-hour shift. The cheerful slogan “breast is best” is more likely to produce heart pangs than an eye-roll in the 88 percent of women who have no paid time off.
Nurri Latef, an early childhood teacher who I spoke to about her experience returning to school when her son was two months old, says, “I hated it. I felt like I was leaving my child at such a critical bonding time for the two of us, and he was premature. He spent a month in the hospital, so … I was only at home for one month with Nasir before I had to jump back into toddler-teacher mode so I could keep a roof over our heads.” No parent in any job should have to feel this way, but there’s a unique cruelty to forcing women to leave their own children before they feel ready to take care of other people’s children.
Meanwhile, Apple and Google employees get eighteen weeks of paid leave and backup or on-site day care. Googlers are awarded $500 cash referred to as “Baby Bonding Bucks.” Of course, not every worker shares in the benefits even at these seemingly enlightened firms: tech companies often outsource security, food service, and janitorial work by hiring private contractors, who are not eligible. Overall, about a third of American workers in management and other professional
Tumblr media
Here’s how Julia Roitfeld, the daughter of the editor of French Vogue, describes impending motherhood: “It was like a detox — I ate healthy, I slept a lot, and I didn’t drink. All of my hormones were at the perfect levels. I was super-happy, and I really didn’t give a shit about work. Usually I’m so on top of work, but I was in a little cloud. But in August I thought, ‘Okay, I need to go back to work and start making a living again.’”
How long can a parent stay in that “little cloud” and “not give a shit” about the cost of diapers, formula, and rent? That depends both on one’s class and nationality. Brazilian mothers get seventeen weeks of leave to take care of their little ones at their full salary; Canadian parental leave was recently extended from one year to eighteen months at about 55 percent pay; Russia offers mothers twenty-four weeks paid. I could go on. The United States, Papua New Guinea, and Lesotho are the only countries in the world that don’t guarantee all workers paid time off to care for a new child — here, parental leave is a luxury reserved for the rich.
At the same time we thrust new parents back into the labor market, we also insist that they comparison shop for childcare in a country with no national standards for quality, accessibility or safety. Nearly 11 million children, including over half of children below the age of one, spend an average of twenty-seven hours a week in some kind of childcare setting, yet the burden is on individual parents to assess the risks and benefits of a confusing, unaccountable, generally private system pieced together state by state for the care of our littlest and most vulnerable children. In essence, giving birth or adopting a child in America means you also take on the job of government regulator. It’s an impossible task, with occasionally tragic consequences.
In 2013, a day-care worker in Mississippi handed a ten-week-old baby boy over to his father at pickup time without noticing that the child’s skin was blue and he was unresponsive. The father directed the staff to call 911 while he performed CPR — none of the staff knew how — and his son was finally rushed to the emergency room, where he died. After an investigation, the state concluded that the childcare center met all legal requirements for operation. It remains open.
In 2014, Kellie Rynn Martin suffocated at the age of three months in a day-care center run out of a middle-class suburban home in South Carolina, where her mother suspects she was put to sleep in a bassinet with a blanket or even another infant. When forensics searched the house, they found fourteen children playing “the quiet game” in the eighty-five-degree basement under the supervision of the owner’s daughter. In an interview, Martin’s mother stressed that the day-care owner’s home had appeared clean and the owner appeared competent when she toured the program only a few weeks earlier.

Lead, follow, but get the F$%& outta the way.
Forgive me father for I have sinned. It’s been 30 days since my last rant.
But what a 30 days it’s been. Trumps gone into hiding, Mr. Potato head is in the White House, and Justin Trudeau is asking for Canadians to just “Trust him “with their very lives as he lines Canada up at the vaccine food bank for developing nations.
Or as I like to call it, the new normal.
Did you miss me sheeple? I know a bunch of you missed my slightly right of center muisings because you told me you did. Well, some of you did. Ok, one of you may have implied you missed hearing my voice booming from the silicone based mountaintops.
So what a shit show eh? The wheels are slowly staring to come off the bus, people are starting to crack and I think if someone doesn’t hurry up and grab the wheel we are all about to go flying over the precipice like a collective Thelma and Louise. Think I’m kidding? Is anyone paying close enough attention to what’s going on. I bet you thought it was cute the first time someone you knew was sent to Facebook jail didn’t you. It was funny to watch someone have their access to “society” cut off because they think differently than you do. Cool isn’t it.
If you were curious to know why I shut down my social media presence in the wake of the cancelling of the President of the United States, you haven’t been playing along. That’s the single most scary thing that I have ever witnessed. Single most scary thing ever.
Imagine if they can cancel the “most powerful” person in the world what they can do to you and I.
I’m going to let that one marinate with you for a bit, it’s fairly deep and really deserves a fair amount of thought because what can happen next is very very very scary.
Anyway, I’m in a fan frickin tastic mood this morning and I’m not going to ruin a nice coffee glow go to waste on the negative, I’ll instead focus on the positive.
So for those playing along at home this week (*groan*) our politicians (much different than our technocrat overlords) are busy trying to find new ways to screw with your life and make you question reality completely. Take it from someone who works with the fine men and women of the politbureau on a daily basis that there’s only one image you need to burn into your brain to completely understand your government’s response to the 2019 through 2028 plandemic.
Visualize a large group of egotistical bears collectively trying to fuck a football.
Now do you get it?
Folks, we have completely lost our collective societal mind at this point. Out east where I live we have political demigods who actually believe they can eradicate a virus by throwing up a stop sign and deputizing a fish cop to interrogate Canadians on why they are getting their groceries on one side of an imaginary taxation line or the other. We literally are ripping families apart, denying people basic dignities, destroying our economic base, pitting peoplekind against peoplekind, and generally just trashing the place.
We are, we are literally trashing the place because we don’t have leaders in the public realm anymore, we have celebrities who think they are leaders because they have nice hair.
You are seeing it. Look no further than the summer residence of the former first lady of Canada, when each day, at the assigned hour of noon, the Crime Minister of Canada arises from his slumber in the basement (Bed head is critical for the 19-35 female demographic), puts on a grim face and parades before the chose few and makes it rain cold hard Canadian taxpayer cash onto the charity de jour so his admirers can watch gleefully from afar and show air hands at the generosity We Canadians show.
All the while our G7 nation is amongst the worst off in the WORLD for vaccinating our subjects.
We should be so proud, but we shouldn’t be surprised. We created this mess by giving everyone a trophy, by making everyone the same. We started penalizing those who excelled in their chosen fields and then we rigged the game.
We lost our way because we chose to follow the wrong type of people.
In my real life I often get to interview people who are vying for their next role, their next step in their careers, and one of the questions I always ask of an aspiring candidate is “Who are your role models and why?”. I think that question speaks volumes about a person’s character and who they aspire to be. But it’s not the first part of the question that’s important to me, it’s the second. I want to know what this persons leadership style is going to be like, because we emulate those we admire most.
Problem is we have chosen to follow leaders like Justin Trudeau and Nancy Pelosi.
Justin Trudeau is not a leader, not even close to being a leader. He’s a figurehead with an ego. He’s not unlike a certain health minister here in our region. They believe their own press. They believe they know what’s best for you & I despite the fact what they are doing isn’t working the way they think it is. They are dangerous leaders, and their actions have led us to the edge of the cliff I spoke of earlier.
We needed a plan, we needed transparency, and we needed bold actions.
We got platitudes and charity for female education in the 3rd world when we should have immediately started construction of ICU surge capacity and pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity. We needed a national testing strategy and the ability to convert Canadian fiber into N95 masks and gowns. We needed communities to organize to protect and service their most vunerable. Something as setting up empty hotels for first responders to use while rotating shifts and safe day cares for their children so they could man those lines 100% without having to worry about their families.
Why didn’t our leaders do this?
That’s because they were busy pushing their political agenda’s along versus doing the job they were put in place for in the first place.
I’m disgusted by our politicians in power. Photos ops, daily TV shows where they lead with fear and chastise the unwashed masses for their bad behaviour all the while living not like thee because I’m me. It’s pathetic yet we applaude and say thank you sir, may we please have some more.
I want more vaccines manufactured in Canada for those who want them (you can have mine, I’m good taking my chances with the ‘rona). I want a secure supply of medical PPE made in Canada, not China. I want programs that make sense and policy that follows science, not just medicine. I want a leader to run the crisis response not some medical demigod with an ego on a power trip that will kill more people than it saves.
I want real leadership in times of crisis, not political theater.
I’m beyond frustrated and I know it’s apparent in my prose. I want better for my community, my province, my country, and my world. I want sanity and rationale approaches to get the world moving again. I want politics to go away.
I want a lot apparently.
I want the world back, but to do that we need to shift thinking to a more moderate view versus keeping on the polarizing path we’ve been on the past 20 years. We are allowing politics to control human safety to the point now we are killing people with the controls we put in place to keep people safe. I read a great quote from Mike Rowe last night I think sums up my position on life that I think everyone needs to read.
"if you elevate the business of staying alive to the very, very top of all things, then the only thing you'll ever do is stay alive. You won't go anywhere. You won't try anything or build anything."
This is what we need from our leaders, ones that understand risk and how to translate needs into actions using a transparent plan, not making one up week to week. This is what we should all want.
Ok, I’m done for now.
Get out there and live safely, but live. Oh, and stop voting for celebrities, start voting for leaders.
Love ya all.
Jim Out.

A major Kentucky soft drink is made from PEOPLE by KyBlu_I_s
Yup. That's what I said. The Kentucky soft drink known as Ale8 is made of people. Liquefied filtered people. And I drink six a day. Have for years. Thousands of Kentucky natives drink this stuff everyday. Thing is, I stopped when I found their " special ingredient". Everyone else, unknowingly continued to drink people. For a while..
It was a cool May morning when I received the email It was from the Kentucky board of Health and Human Services. This is the entire email.
" To the charge of The Kentucky Office of Paranomalies,
Dear sir or ma'am, I write this to you to inform you of an atrocity. The manufacturer of Ale Eight soft drinks has been found to be using people to make their flagship beverage. Not like people make it, like its made OF people. It always has been, but it was only recently discovered.
I was this years poor gopher that was sent to the plant to take quality control and satisfaction samples from each batch in progress. The first test, I thought that I had contaminated the test vial. However when all twenty eight tests showed biologic contamination, I was convinced. I took samples to an I dependant lab and had them analyze the contents. They reported that the samples I gave to them had been made from eighty three percent human DNA, 10 percent ginger and seven percent assorted fruits. I tried to tell my superiors but they refuse to listen. The sickest part is that when I told them, they didn't act surprised. THEY KNEW. They had to have known. They simply told me that they would handle it and that I was to ignore the test results. That's it. Two hours later the office memo said that the beverage company had again passed with 100% quality and safety standard being met. It was also released to the general public that the soft drink was now all natural. How the living hell is human soft drink a natural substance??
Can you please help. Look into it, dig for the answers. Just please help us. God help us, my children used to drink that stuff.
Penny "
That was it. Attached to the email was copies of the test results and the analysts notes. They were truly disturbing. Utterly disgusting. It seems that the company owned by the original founding family was using dehydrated human bodies mixed into their purified water to add a "bracing pep'" to their product. Its been around since the 1800's, and almost certainly has always used human juice as an ingredient.
I called to my team to assemble in the bull pen. When one of my guys walked in holding an Ale 8 I almost chucked. I felt hot bitter bile rising to the back of my throat. I had a hell of a time choking it back. The officer in question was utterly shocked when I yelled at him to stop drinking that shit and pour it out.
" Sir, we all drink it. What's the problem with it now? You were..." I interrupted him to say " Yeah, I drank one last night. But today I know that there's fucking PEOPLE IN THAT SHIT!!!!!!" I yelled the last four words.
The officer first looked like a deer in the headlights, then, thinking it was a prank he started to laugh and take another drink. He stopped laughing when I jerked the glass bottle from his hand and smashed it on the floor. I pulled the email up on the large monitor, and he read it while turning ghostly white. Before he could read too much of it, he ran off. We could hear him throwing up from his quarters.
I told my men that we were going to accept this case and that we were leaving then and now. We hadn't any other choice. Like the email had said, children drink this stuff. Thousands of people drink it everyday. I have to wonder though, how did they mask the taste of us into a pop that tasted so damn good? Huh, I would have to ask them I thought.
We had no fucking clue what to expect, so we loaded for bear. We packed C-4 RDX TNT fifty caliber automatic machine guns, 9mn SMGs hand grenades flash grenades, stun guns dart guns and sedative darts and claymore mines. We were prepared to demolish the entire factory if we had to, and then fake a media release about a recall on the product. See, even if we stopped the plant from making more, millions of bottles and cans were already on shelves across the entire state, and in a few places in other states. I rode in the passenger seat as Keith drove to Winchester. I frantically typed on my lap top trying to word the media release in a manner in which relayed the gravity of the situation, without actually telling everyone they were drinking people.
We arrived at the plant and walked in the visitors entrance. " Hi! Welcome to the Ale Eight Beverage manufacturing facility! How can we help you today?" Chirped an obese red haired desk worker, as we approached. Warm, bright sunlight poured through the glass ceiling of the lobby as I tried to explain to the woman that we were federal employees, and needed to see the president of the company. She nodded and smiled as I talked, and then said " Well, if you gentlemen would just have a seat, I will ring the President and inform him he has visitors. Would you like some complimentary Ale Eights while you wait?"
" No. No thank you." I swear to you we all said it at the exact same time. The chubby red head looked at me, cocked her head towards the small seating area and picked up a phone and began talking in hushed tones. Every few seconds of her talking she would calmly look over at us and continue her conversation. After almost fifteen minutes, she hung the phone up, stood and walked over to us.
" Please, follow me. The president has agreed to a meeting, but its going to be a few minutes. He insists that you gentlemen take a short tour while you wait, so you can see the way we pride ourselves on the quality and taste of Ale Eight. Follow me." She said and waved a chubby hand at us to follow her, as she waddled her double wide ass down the hallway toward the factory floor.
We entered the refrigerated factory and stood there looking around as the woman yammered on about choice ingredients, filtered water, and the secret blend of fruit and special seasonings that have been the same since the first bottle was produced. About how the filters they used removed 100% of everything from the water that they ordered from a special spring in the state. In fact, everything except the ginger was sourced from right here in Kentucky. Home town pride and all!!!!..
We nodded and ohhed and ahhed in all the right places. I asked if it would be possible to zee the blending room.
" Oh, no, I am so so sorry. The blending room is completely off limits. The only people that go in there are the President and the janitors. The president comes in and adds the special fruits and spices that made up the secret portion of the secret family recipe. So, again, no. That's not at all possible." She scoffed as she waddled us towards the mixing room, where the filtered water, ginger caffeine and the secret mix were blended in huge stainless steel vats.
Again, she stopped and talked about the cleanliness if the production process, the quality of everything they used and the secret mix. Like making sure things were clean would make up for the fact that people were being added to the mix.
The tour ended in the bottling room, where assembly lines carried empty bottles, and cans to a machine that would fill, and top each one. One in every fifty cans or bottles was randomly ejected from the line for quality checks and measurements. Chubby said that's his they maintain a 100% perfect product.
My men and I gave a small polite and quiet round of applause to the workers, unsure if they knew what they were doing. We were then lead to the Presidents meeting room, where we were asked to again sit and wait. Fuck, I thought the days of " Hurry up and wait," were behind me when I left the standard tanks of the Services. Wrong. Here we sat, waiting.
"Sir.."
"Sshh!" I then types into my phone and sent a group message saying that we had no idea if the meeting room was bugged for the head sicko to hear what's said. We couldn't risk him knowing we knew. The only thing in our side was the element of surprise.
After fifteen minutes, a tall dark haired man in a black suit and thin wire glasses walked in the room, with a large, obviously fake smile, " Hello gentlemen, I am Mr. Wainscott, The great great grandson of the founder of this wonderful wonderful place. He started mixing Ale Eight in his home, selling it to locals. It took right off and was an instant Kentucky favorite."
His well practiced speech sounded like a damn commercial. It was probably. He told that story to put people at ease, and to make folks forget that they hadn't a clue what was actually in the drink.
We forced small talk for a while, and then it happened. I saw him blink. I don't mean he blinked his eyes vertically, he blinked from side to side. Like some fucking lizard. Well, close any way. When I saw that, I must have jumped or made a face, because he instantly tried to stand up and leave the room. He knew we were close to finding out what he truly was. Of course we had no fucking idea. None at all.
The man was surprisingly strong for somebody of his small stature. I mean, he was five foot eight at the tallest and weighed a hundred forty pounds max. However he was able to nearly lift me off the ground with a single punch to the ribs. I regained my footing, and pulled my right arm back and down as far as I could, preparing to deliver my hardest punch straight to this guys chin. See, what most people fail to understand, is that a good solid punch to the tip of the chin most usually results in a one punch knock out. The shock causes the brain to actually contact the skull and it hurts enough to put you out. However as my fist flew towards this guys chin, he smiles. A shit eating Cheshire cat grin. He opened his mouth and I think he would have bitten my hand off if Keith hadn't tackled him to the ground and subdued him with a healthy blast of a taser to the side of his neck.
The inhuman Mr. Wainscott laid there, unconscious with a spreading puddle of what I thought to be urine. Then I noticed it was carbonated. The thing had expelled ginger ale from his body. I was suddenly very I'll as it started to click together in my mind.
" Cuff and gag him Keith. Then tie him to the rolling chair so we can move him. Jefferies, open that window, go to my Humvee and bring the weapons. Take Haskins with you. One man won't be able to carry all them. Now go, quick."
The two men silently and very proficiently opened the window, climbed over the wall and ran to the Humvee parked about twenty feet away. They had the bags and were coming in the window in less than a minute and a half. Again, silently climbing in the room. We all grabbed our go to, Keith, a heavy ass full auto, a .243 if memory serves, personally, I wanted a bit of stealth, so I quickly spun the silencer onto the barrel of my Sig Sauer 9mm. A few of the guys perfered non lethal rounds, and decided on a shotgun that shot hard rubber balls, used for crowd control and prison riots, and some chose the damnable dart guns, loaded with sedative darts.
I got behind the chair holding the president of the company, held my pistol to the side of his neck, and started walking out. I stopped before going through the large cherry wood stained double doors that led to the hallway.
"Shit. Does anyone know where the phone junction is on the outside of the building? And Haskins, deploy the cellular interruption satellite. Now, we can't have the damn locals fucking this up. We still aren't sure what's going on here."
As Haskins set up a small quad copter drone that would fly to the roof, drop one small black box on each corner and kill cellular service, Keith informed me that he remembered the location of the landline junction, and silently carried his giant frame out the window to cut the lines.
" Keith, copy?" I whispered into the com's.
" Copy, what's up boss? I'm almost there, hold on," I could hear rustling and the sound of hard plastic breaking, followed by " got it. On my way back in".
When Keith was back inside, and Haskins drone had dropped its payload, and they had been activated, we continued out of the meeting room. It suddenly occurred to me that we had no clue where to look, and we couldn't risk anyone actually seeing us and getting away.
" Keith, Haskins, Jefferies, do we have anything that will knock all of the employees out, and allow us to remain awake?"
A second later Keith delivered a startling answer" Well, Gunney, I can do something that will put them out, but they all need to hear my voice, and you guys can't." He pauses, and points up before going on, " look, they have a P.A. system, I just need to get to the damn microphone."
I sent Haskins with Keith, to find the aforementioned PA systems microphone. The rest of us continued to the presidents office. Slowly creeping down the hallways, and making sure we went along, unseen. The office was at the end of the east wing, and we were still in the middle of the south wing. We needed to cover about two hundred feet of hallway and doors with windows, before getting to his office, unnoticed. Difficult, sure. Impossible, hell no.
We only had to subdue one person on the way. A janitor had been leaving the restroom, and caught us so as he turned and took a breath, he was shot in the neck by a sedative laden dart. He tumbled like a brick building, making a loud thud as he hit the floor, already snoring. I drug his body back into the bathroom, propped him on a toilet, closed the stall door, locked it and climbed over and jumped to the floor. We made it the rest of the way unscathed. As we entered his office the unconscious president started to wake up.
I shut the door quietly, and looked up, there was a single speaker in the room, and I shot it with my silenced pistol. Couldn't risk hearing Keith through the ear plugs we always carried. As the president started to struggle, Keith came over the com's with a whisper " Count from thirty backwards and then take the plugs out. I will count to twenty and start. If you hear me you will go out for a while. Go, now"
We obeyed. The president was still fighting his restraints as we all pressed our ear plugs into out ear canals. We counted backwards after counting to twenty, just to be sure that we didn't catch any stray words. I knew it was successful because the president stopped struggling.
A few seconds later we removed our plugs, and I sent a whisper out in the com units, "Keith, Haskins, you all good? Come back?"
" Yeah, were all good Gunney. We should have about four hours before anyone wakes up. We are on the way to the prez's office."
When they finally got to the office we started to dig through the computers, the file cabinets his desk and his briefcase. Nothing. Not a damn thing. It was at that moment that I noticed the marks on the floor of the office. In the middle of the wall was a light semi circle mark, just barely visible on the beige carpet if the office. It was apparent that there was a door hidden in the wall, and we hoped to get a few answers from whatever lay behind it. After not finding an easy way to open it, I make the call. I tell Basking to blow the damn door off with a small charge of C4.
The rest of us exit the office, as Haskins placed the charge and prepared to blow down the while fucking wall if need be. He scurried out of the office, took a knee and stuck his fingers in his ears, and we all followed suit. The explosion was audible , but not what any of us were expecting. We glanced, at one another starting to think maybe Haskins hadn't used enough plastique. Oh, he did. We opened the door, and smoke and dust billowed out in a huge choking cloud. The desk was shattered, the file cabinets busted open and the papers turned to shreds. The carpet, walls and ceiling tiles all smoldered and burned.
" Damn Haskins! Helluva job man. That poor defenseless door never stood a chance!" I said, sending a small wave of nervous laughter through the men. We walked through the new hole in the office wall into a dark room lined with acoustic foam. On one wall of the room, a dozen identical suits hung. Under the hanging suits, silver cans of some unknown pressurized gas sat, looking like shiny silver jet packs straight from a comic book illustration. On the opposite wall, was several rubber masks of the presidents face, each consisting of hair, brows, lashes, neck and even chest hair at the bottom of the neck. Beneath each mask was gloves that looked like makes hands. This wasn't the weirdest thing in there either.
In the far wall, was a medical gurney. On the gurney lay a corpse. Dead and dry, like they had been dehydrated. Almost to the point of turning to dust. Sticking from the poor woman's body were fourteen hoses and lines, each leading to a different silver collection tank. Her cause of death wasn't blatantly obvious. No stab wounds, no bullet holes, nothing. For all we knew the woman was killed by the machinery that drained her fluids.
To say that I was furious would have been a massive understatement. I was seething with an anger that was so string it hurt. I wanted blood. I walked out of the macabre room, and shook the unconscious president.
" Gunney, he won't wake up for you. I have to do it. If you want him awake, let me know."
" I want him the fuck awake Keith, now."
Keith nodded in acknowledgement, and walked to the sleeping man, and whispered something into his ear, and then abruptly slapping the man across the back of the head.
The president woke up and started fighting the cuffs, and tried to scream through his tie that had been shoved into his mouth and taped there with duct tape.
" Shut up fuck face." " The only god damned thing I want from you is answers. " I hissed, as I drug my razor sharp combat blade against the man things throat. " If I feel that you are lying to me, I will cut your fucking head off. You understand me?" Nod. " Good, if I slice your throat and take your head off, will it kill you?" Another nod. " Good. If I take off the gag, will you stay quiet?" Yet another nod.
I cut the tape, and ripped the tie from his mouth. He breathed a large sigh of relief. As I squared down to be at eye level with him. It. Whatever.
" What are you? No, wait. What is your family? I mean, you're not human, right?"
" I, we, are not from this planet. We are from a completely different universe. My father came here three hundred years ago, and I was born here. We live longer than you. I have been here, in this city for one hundred and fifty years. I am the founder of the company."
" That's where you're from. That's not WHAT YOU ARE!" I yell, and press the blade into the skin of his neck, slicing through the rubber, exposing the grey, crêpe skin underneath.
" Okay! You're species calls us the Greys. Originally we lived on a planet named Quanzta we found the earth of the other universe, quite by accident. My Father and his father crashed there as they were taking a vacation. Once they landed, they quickly noticed the atmosphere was hospitable to our type. They called for the others to send ships and family to set up colonies. See, that earth was far, far behind this one. Humans hadn't evolved yet. We took the planet as our own. Then, in an attempt to fix an atmospheric irregularity that we caused, my Father tore a small hole in space time. He and my mother gathered their slaves and servants, and escaped to this place. When they arrived they noticed that Humans were the prevalent species. We found ways to assimilate. Then, we found that something in your DNA was like a drug to us. It gives us a pleasant buzz, almost like what you feel from..what is it...pot."
I listened intently to his story, and shuddered and seethed with rage as he talked about how they accidentally discovered the fact while they dined. They fucking ate us. Then, when people became more civilized, they needed a way to continue getting high without anyone noticing. Slowly Wainscott worked his formula til it was perfect. The added human DNA would give his species a killer high, and be undetectable to us.
" How many of your kind is here Wainscott?"
" Well, see...I don't really know. When my family came here, they released their servants and slaves, and we all started to reproduce, like what you say bunnies. Would you please take thus face off if me now?"
I did. I had to admit I was curious as to what they really looked like. I was surprised at how he did look, but not because he was so fugly or whatever. They looked a lot like us, except their skin was ever so slightly scaly and grainy. He had a nose, small and puggish, not like ours. His eyes, large almond shaped black holes in his skin, with lids that shut from side to side. Internal eye lids. No lids on his face, just the internal ones. Freaky. Sharpened teeth protruded from his mouth, and a forked tongue flicked out like a snake eating a fucking bug.
" Thank you. Those things are like wearing a plastic bag on my head. We all wear them. Hell, we make them from our molted skin. The hair comes from barber shops, and salons. Now, why are you here? What have I done to garner your wrath in such a manner?"
" Dude, y'all fucking not only drank human beings, you fucking made it so that thousands of people drank the same thing. You sick fucks fed us to each other. I can not allow that to happen. Its going to stop, and now..."
" But wait, if my kind doesn't get the buzz they're looking for they'll start to kill humans for pleasure. It will get us all exterminated! You can't do this! Stop!!"
" That's fine, I will kill all if you I see."
" No, please wait, I can pa..."
His words cut short, as I slit his throat deep enough to expose the equivalent to a human spinal cord. His heart continued to pump, spurting thick green ooze that served as blood for them. It slowly started to pump less, and less, the spurts getting smaller and smaller. Then it stopped all together.
" Listen up men, his body goes to the mix room, and from there we set triggers to blow the entire place to the ground. No inhuman survivors. If you cut the neck just a tiny bit, the alien won't bleed. So check all of the workers. The ones that are human, load into a truck trailer on the docks, and pull the truck to the end of the parking lot. I gotta send the media release, sighting a contamination that got through, allowing for human waste to enter the final product before being bottled. Nobody will want to drink that. Y'all go, check for humans, evacuate them, Keith and I will place the charges."
The rest of the men ran out, two dragging the dead alien into the mixing room, as Keith and I began to set the RDX and C4 charges in strategic locations throughout the plant, insuring it would every bit be destroyed. I made a calm to SecNav, to set it up for the local fire and police departments to rule the explosion an accident, and to be sure that the company couldn't be started back.
" You know, Keith, I didn't ask if it had children or a wife...I wonder what's going to come out of the wood work after us for this?"
" Don't know, don't care Gunney. Let em come"
We quickly placed the charges, and gathered beside the rig filled with the human workers. I turned to the crew, and asked " How many were alien guys?"
After being assured all of the workers, minus the chubby redhead were human, I called for clear and hit the detonator button, causing the large factory to implode on itself in a glorious and terrifying manor.
As the police were arriving, firetrucks following, we were pulling onto the free way, heading back to the office. As we drove away, an empty glass bottle rolled out from under the seat. An ale eight bottle. It hadn't been there when we arrived...
" Keith, what the..."that's when my world went black, I was able to hear the sirens for a second, then nothing

A Dive Into the Past Could be the Key to a Better Future for the LGBTQ and You.
Have you noticed that being gay (or bi or transgender or asexual) seems to have become a recent trend? And by recent, I mean the last 50 years or so. As of 2016, one in four Americans identifies as LGBTQ. There are early examples of LGBT history of course, but now it seems that being gay has become a sort of pop culture fad. At least, that’s what a lot of people seem to think! But this so called ‘fad’ had been around since the dawn of man. Every country and every culture in the world has a history of same-sex relationships and intersexual (transgender) people. The first recorded history of same sex relationships was found in cave drawings in Sicily; they were believed to have been painted between 9,600-5,000 BCE. Attitude towards same-sex relationships and transgender people has changed a ton throughout history. First it was accepted, became quite common and even somewhat expected (like in Ancient Greece), was labeled a sin but not really punished, then was severely punished as the Catholic Church’s influence grew, then it was illegal (still is in many countries), labeled as mental illness, and now, in 2019, is legal in 28 countries.
It might seem like a simple straight line got us to this point, but it wasn’t simple at all. There were hardships endured and many sacrifices that have gotten us here. Our community is just like any other minority group. We’ve been fighting for peace and acceptance. I’ve traced out our history to create a better understanding how these people lived and how their influence has gotten us to this day and age.
I’m going to skip through the earlier history and start our timeline in Ancient Greece. Greece is a fantastic historical example of widely accepted homosexual relationships. The commonness of these relationships is actually why olive oil became so popular. These relationships didn’t replace marriage between men and women but typically occurred before or in concurrence with it. Relationships were not viewed as between men and women but rather as between the ‘dominant’ and ‘passive’(Livius). Sapho, a poet born on the island of Lesbos, wrote poetry centered around love and passion for both genders. She inspired the term ‘lesbian’ that was adopted in the 19th century.
Our next stop is in the 1400s: Joan of Arc. You might know the story. Surely you recognize the name. Joan of Arc was a French girl who went form peasant to Catholic Saint. She claimed to have heard the voices of saints, who commanded her to find Prince Charles and help him ascend the throne during a war between the French and English. Joan cut her hair short and dressed as a man when she went to find Charles and later when she led his armies into battle. Charles even commissioned a custom-made suit of armor for her. The English captured Joan and eventually she was burned at the stake for heresy and cross dressing (Bie).
Though it’s a controversial claim, The LGBT community has claimed Joan as a transgender icon. She was the who came up with the idea to dress as a man; she continued to do so throughout her life, even in public. Joan risked her life and her freedom to continue dressing as a man. Some say she was simply following God’s command. But her stories reflect experiences of other transgender people who also risked their lives to live as the gender that they identified with.
Speaking of the Catholic Church: they weren’t always sticklers about homosexual relationships. In fact, it was quite common for priests, bishops and senior clerics to be gay in the 1500s (McClain). Sodomy was grouped in with the ‘lustful’ sins and was rarely punished. The Renaissance brought about a stricter rule from Rome and the Pope. Homosexual relationships went form legal and overlooked to punishable for both men and women by mutilation and death in most European countries.
Let’s cross the ocean to the Americas. Before the Europeans started colonizing the Americas, ‘Two-Spirit’ people were quite common among the different tribes of indigenous people. This blanket term referred to gender identity rather than sexual identity. Traditionally, the term Two-Spirit people were made up of men, women, and intersex who took on the traditional roles and responsibilities of both men and women. Among the Navajo tribes, Two-Spirit men would become weaver’s, traditionally a woman’s role. Two-Spirit women would often take up hunting, engage in warfare, and could even become leaders or chiefs (Two-Spirit Health Resources). This became a common third gender. Colonization forced these tribes to conform to white societal expectations. Two-Spirit people were particularly vulnerable, often the subject of violence and punishment. Their practices were all but eradicated to preserve their lives. The recognition and tradition of the Two-Spirits are practiced today among many of remaining Native American tribes.
When the American Colonies started to establish their own government, they modeled many of their laws after Great Britain’s laws, including those concerning sodomy. Death was one of the punishments, but the laws were rarely enforced. In 1786, Pennsylvania repealed the death penalty for sodomy and soon after a majority of the colonies followed suit.
In the 1790s, psychology became a wider field of study. The term ‘homosexuality’ was coined, and it was finally being addressed outside of church condemnation. Some believed that homosexuality was congeniality based, while others diagnosed it as a symptom of psychosis. In 1791, after the French revolution, France became the first country to decriminalize sodomy. A small but mighty steppingstone towards LGBT+ acceptance.
The 1800s saw New York become a hub for LGBT culture in America, though sodomy was still illegal. There was a higher visibility of alternative genders and same-sex relationships; many men got away with it by passing it off as a ‘loving male friendship.’  The American Civil War, like many other wars, saw a number of women who enlisted in the army as men. Jennie Hodgers was one such woman. She immigrated to America from Ireland, changing her identity to Albert Cashier along the way. Cashier was a brave soldier, fighting in over 40 battles. After the war ended, Cashier decided to continue living as a man. An accident led to the discovery that Cashier was born as a woman. He had to fight in court to retain his army pension. He won but was then committed to a mental asylum where he was forced to dress and live as a woman until his death in 1915 (16 Transgender Historical Figures). Poor Albert would use safety pins to fashion his skirts into pants. His story sounds incredibly to Joan of Arc’s life. One immortalized, praised and worshiped for the exact same actions that deemed the other mentally ill. Makes you think, doesn’t it?
The late 1800’s to the 1930’s saw quite a shift in perspective and gay culture. Berlin, Germany became the gay hub towards the end of the 19th century. Berlin was a liberal city, with gay bars, nightclubs, and cabarets. It had the most active LGBT rights movement at the time (Daily Mail). The Scientific-Humanitarian Committee was founded to fight against the laws that made sex between men illegal, as well as recognition of transgender men and women. It was the first public gay rights organization and became the first international LGBT organization after establishing branches in other countries. In 1908, Edward Stevenson published a book called The Intersexes: A Study in Similisexualism as a Problem in Social Life under a pseudonym. It was the first book that openly dealt with all aspects of homosexuality. The 1920’s brought about a wider (but short lived) acceptance of minorities and gays in the US. In 1922, the first gay demonstration was held in Berlin.
Even though gay marriage was illegal in the 1930’s, there were still a ton of gay and lesbian weddings that occurred in secret across the United States. They could get away with it by passing of their spouse as roommates or ‘close friends’. Women had an easier time with this than men did.
Meanwhile in Berlin, who had previously enjoyed an unprecedented freedom, were forced back into hiding when Adolf Hilter took over. Over 50,000 men (including bisexual and transgender men) were sentenced for being gay; thousands died in concentration camps. Female same-sex relationships weren’t illegal and therefore very few were imprisoned for their sexuality.
When the US joined WWII, over 250,000 women joined the military, most in the Women’s Army Corp. A ton of lesbians joined to meet women and those that had more masculine features were overlooked because they were able to take on the harder jobs typically filled by men. General Eisenhower was quite aware of the number of lesbians in the army. He went his secretary, Johnnie Phelps, and told her that they needed to be rooted out. Phelps replied, "If the General pleases, sir, I'll be happy to do that, but the first name on the list will be mine… and if you want to replace all the file clerks, section commanders, drivers, every woman in the WAC detachment, I will be happy to make that list.”(Knaff). Eisenhower withdrew the idea and didn’t bring it up again.
The Civil Rights movement was in full swing by the early 1960′s. It was a fight for equality for African Americans but indirectly became the push for equality in other minorities, including the LGBT community. It set up the gay liberation movement that dominated the 1970′s.
In 1961, Illinois became the first state to decriminalize sodomy; it was still illegal everywhere else though. Gays found safe refuge in bars and clubs, where they were safe to express themselves. These places were constantly raided by the police; first because of a New York law that banned serving alcohol to LGBT individuals and also to catch them engaging in any homosexual acts (even something as innocent as holding hands). In 1969, police raided Stonewall Inn, which sparked a riot among patrons and neighbors because of the rough mishandling of those being arrested (history.com). It was a 6-day long uprising, a monumental movement in LGBT history and the final push towards the gay liberation movement. Twenty states decriminalized sodomy during the 1970s.
The AIDS epidemic was a defining part of the 1980’s. Gay men made up the majority of those with the disease. They were accused of being carriers for the ‘Gay Plague.’ This created a huge stigma around the infected, which in turn created a stigma around gay men. People were afraid to touch anyone or even be around anyone who was infected for fear of catching it themselves. Around 74.9 million people have been infected since the first diagnosis (UNAIDS). Although the death toll is decreased significantly, the LGBT community still suffered a great loss and deals with constant discrimination. Did you know that gay and bisexual men are not allowed to donate blood or plasma solely based on the fact that they’re gay, even if they test negative for HIV and AIDS? Because there are no laws against discrimination, gay, bisexual, and transgender women can be turned away from housing, job opportunities, etc. Transgender women are often resort to prostitution to make ends meet. This, in turn, increases the spread of HIV. There is also a lot of social pressure around getting tested or treated for HIV so a significant number of people remain undiagnosed for fear of harassment.
After a few more states repealed their sodomy laws, activists started pushing back against the Supreme Court’s ruling, stating that these laws were in violation of the federal constitution. Lawrence v Texas was the turning point for the decriminalization of sodomy. Texas police entered the home of John Lawrence on a flimsy excuse and caught him having consensual sex with Tyron Gardner. The precedent by Bower v Hardwick was overturned and the Supreme Court ruled that state laws banning homosexual relations was an unconstitutional violation of privacy (Urofsky). In 2003, all Sodomy laws were officially eradicated in the US.
In 2001, the Netherlands became the first country to legalize same sex marriage. Over the past 18 years, 28 countries, including the United States in 2015, have legalized same sex marriage. This also allowed same sex couples to participate in joint adoption (when previously, couples couldn’t hold joint custody over a child) This has been a huge stride! We’ve been building to this for years and years.
Now we’ve finally reached modern times! Though there have been ups and downs, we’ve still made incredibly strides in the past 50 years. But, we’re not quite there yet. The Equality Act was presented to Congress in March 2019. “[It] would provide consistent and explicit non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people across key areas of life, including employment, housing, credit, education, public spaces and services, federally funded programs, and jury service.” Achieving this would be as groundbreaking as the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
In January 2019, South Carolina applied for and was granted the right for agencies to deny adoption or fostering rights for same sex couples. A heart wrenching step backwards (Considering Adoption).
The trajectory for LBGT rights has not been and never will be a straight line. Same sex couples are granted the right to marry and adopt in 2015 but those rights are taken away in South Carolina just 4 years later. Transgender men and woman are legally allowed to change their gender on their identification forms. A gay club was the target of a mass shooting that killed 49 people. Colleges are installing gender neutral bathrooms, but people feel threatened when transgender men and women use them.
Passing the Equality Act would mean that bakeries can’t refuse to make a cake for a gay couple. This would be an infringement on the 2nd amendment: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. You would need to address people by their preferred pronouns rather than their birth gender pronouns, even if you don’t agree with it. Transgender women (male to female) would be allowed to compete in women’s sports which could easily be considered an unfair advantage. You might not agree with the LGBT lifestyle or what we stand for. The thing is, I’m not asking you to agree.
This war has been fought for thousands of years. Just like the fight for equality for all races. Just like the fight for equality between men and women. We simply want equal rights for us as well; the right to marry, the right to adopt, the right to live a normal life, the ‘American Dream’. We’re just like you! You don’t have to agree with who we have sex with but surely you can agree that it’s a fundamental right to get to marry whoever you want and raise a family; that we should be able to go to the bathroom in peace like a normal person; that we should be able to kiss our SO in public without someone posting a huge rant on Facebook complaining about gay PDA; that we should be able to work and not worry about risking our jobs by expressing ourselves.
Know this: We’re not going to give up. We’ve come to far, sacrificed too many to turn back. Join us in this fight for equality. Join us in the fight for basis human rights.

Chapter 8 It’s A Farce
Book: The Royal Romance (AU)
Series Premise: Parallel, behind the scenes, Madeleine and Bastien
A/N: This is my first series, my first AU, because Madeleine and Bastien needed to smash.  I posted and then pulled it because it wasn’t quite right.  It’s still a work in progress.
Warnings for this series: The first sex scenes I’ve ever written, bad language, sneaking around, alcohol, general mischief and the occasional academic symposium.
Chapter 1 Prelude
Chapter 2 Drinks on a Yacht
Chapter 3 A Dark and Stormy Night
Chapter 4 Meanwhile, Back At The Palace
Chapter 5 She’s Gone
Chapter 6 All The Single Ladies
Chapter 7 The Game is Afoot
Permatags:  @speedyoperarascalparty @burnsoslow @dcbbw @emceesynonymroll
It was officially ridiculous. In public, the women were stereotypes of their worst selves, casually cutting each other down and pretending to compete for the love of the prince. Every evening they gathered in one of the suites and spent hours catching up, reminiscing, getting to know each other all over again. They also slowly got to know the American girl. Her name was Riley.
One night, a couple of weeks in, Hana brought her to the group. She stared at all of them like it was an episode of The Twilight Zone.
“Wait. What the hell is going on?  You all like each other?” she demanded. “I. KNEW. IT. I knew there had to be a reason Bertrand didn’t want me getting too friendly with any of you. I was right!  Ha!”  She high-fived herself.
Riley was going to fit in just fine.
***
Whenever possible, Madeleine and Bastien spent their nights together. Sometimes they had to get creative about connecting or separating discreetly, but they found that the risk of being caught excited them both quite a bit. Bastien’s extensive knowledge of secret passages and corners that weren’t in the range of security cameras on every estate they visited turned out to be terribly useful.
Every other week, the entourage would return to the palace. It was very crowded, and tensions were running high. Everyone was having less fun with the ruse. They genuinely liked each other, and they knew it wasn’t right to continue pumping this constant misinformation out into the world.
Bastien and his entire team was working around the clock to keep the security protocols updated. Their constant travel resulted in so many moving parts that he worried about their safety. The nation was entertained, sure, but at what cost?
One night, Bastien took Madeleine’s hand and led her outside to the maze behind the palace. They hadn’t had a moment alone in days. They wound around between the 10-foot hedges, the sound of their footsteps swallowed by the night. Instead of working towards the lovely garden in the center, Bastien guided them to a dead end, off to one side. There was a blanket spread out on the ground–he had left it there a few hours earlier, just in case…
He pulled her close, kissing her hungrily as her warm hands made their way under his shirt. He had gotten her pants unzipped and they were just about to lower themselves to the blanket when someone, no, TWO someones crashed through the hedge on top of them.
Bastien went into Protection Mode immediately, pushing Madeleine behind him and lunging for the larger of the two assailants. Madeleine screamed, and the smaller assailant also screamed.
They all froze. In the moonlight, they could just make out everybody else’s features.
“Sup, Drake?” said Bastien, without a hint of awkwardness. He was holding Drake by the throat. Slowly, he let go.
“Oh. Hey. Bas. Yeah,” stammered Drake, penitent as a teenager. “Um… we were just… wait a minute. Is that you, Madeleine?”
“Why yes, Drake, lovely to see you,” Madeleine politely responded, unabashed. “And… Riley, what a nice surprise!"
The four of them stood there in the darkness, all in varying stages of arousal and deshabille. Riley was the first to burst out laughing.
Bastien looked at the three of them. "Yes, well, I think we’re all done with the game, huh?”
They were done.
***
The four of them returned to the palace together. Bastien guided them to a secure entrance to the secret passages and led them to his quarters on the first floor. His rooms were absolutely secure. There weren’t any cameras or peepholes or any potential vulnerabilities. They could all speak candidly.
Riley and Drake had felt a connection almost immediately upon her arrival in Cordonia. He had initially stayed well away from her, but she had been persistent. He’d admitted his feelings to her and to himself soon after. They were still exploring each other, and it hadn’t gone too far, but she was obviously no longer here for Liam. They deserved a chance to be together.
Bastien and Madeleine were less complicated. She had never intended to be Liam’s Queen. She hadn’t given him any encouragement. To him, she was polite, distant, icy, just as everyone thought she was.
As these truths came to light, they grew serious. They liked Liam. He was Drake’s best friend; he was the reason Riley had gotten on the plane in the first place. Bastien would take a bullet for him, and Madeleine truly considered him a friend.
They had to tell him. This had to end.
***
The next morning, Drake arranged for them to meet Liam in his suite. Liam was understandably perplexed as they entered and sat down. Riley was almost in tears, and Madeleine took her hand to comfort her.
Bastien went first.
“Your highness, we cannot sustain this farce. Not only is it costing a fortune, but it is causing serious disruption to the lives of everybody involved. You see, sir… we've… ” He lost his momentum.
“Liam, we have known each other forever,” Madeleine picked up the thread. “You are practically my brother. We are not suited for each other, and I can’t continue to pretend to the world that we are."
Liam took a moment to absorb this. "You’re with Bastien,” he said simply. “I suspected."  Bastien was about to defend his ability to carry on an affair without being detected, but Madeleine cut him off.
"I am with Bastien."  She smiled. Bastien’s breath caught in his throat. She had said it. There was no turning back.
Liam turned to Drake. "And you’re here to support Madeleine and Bastien?”
This was going to be brutal. Riley was openly crying now, and she spoke in a rush.
“Liam, I mean your Highness, I am so sorry I don’t know what to say, it’s just been so intense and strange and I’ve been so confused and it’s just… there were all these big hats… and so many people watching … and I just…. ” she broke off, sobbing into her hands.
Drake stood up. “Liam, can we talk, just you and me?"  He looked sick to his stomach. "Please?”
Liam sat back in his chair. “Drake, did you steal my girl?”
“Please, Liam, I can explain.”
“I don’t need you to explain. It’s pretty obvious.”
They all sat with wide eyes and closed mouths, not daring to move. Where was he going with this?
“Hang on a sec,” said Liam. “Antonia?  Antonia!” He called to his secretary in the next room, and a moment later she came through a side door.
“Sir?”
“Antonia can you let the King’s secretary know that I’m on my way to see him immediately?”
“Of course, sir,” replied Antonia. She departed at once, her phone to her ear.
“Liam what is happening?” asked Madeleine, when it became clear that nobody else was able to speak.
“It’s time I stepped up and took some control over some things,” he replied. “We’ve been  pushed into an avoidable mess and there’s no way out but through it.”  He stood up. “Guys I’m so sorry. You’re my family and I didn’t protect you. Let me fix this.” And he walked out of the room.
Drake, Riley, and Madeleine all jumped as their phones buzzed and chimed with a text notification.
Uh, where is everybody?  Hello?
Their absence from breakfast had been noticed.
Drake and Riley both looked to Madeleine. She rolled her eyes and started typing.
Something’s come up. Stay put, we’ll be down soon.
“Bunch of cowards,” she grumbled at them. Bastien raised his eyebrows. He checked his own phone, and had no notifications.
“Baby this is not the time to complain about being left out,” she said as she walked over to sit on his lap. She was practically giddy. As concerned as she was for Drake and Riley and Liam, she couldn’t help feeling like everything was about to change. She couldn’t wait.
A few minutes later, Antonia came back in.
“Ladies and gentlemen, His Royal Highness has asked me to tell you that he won’t be returning, and that you are welcome to use your time today as you wish. There will be no official events or activities. He does ask that you maintain a high level of discretion regarding your conversation this morning.”
Liam’s four friends–they assumed they were still his friends–looked at each other in shock and confusion. This was odd, very odd. They milled around for a few moments longer, shrugged, and parted ways, adjourning to Madeleine’s suite and to Drake’s, solely in the interest of discretion.
The next morning, the kingdom of Cordonia was notified that, effective at noon the following day, King Constantine would be stepping down “for health reasons” and Crown Prince Liam would assume the throne, with a formal coronation to be scheduled for later in the year.

Brexit - Our Food is Expensive Benefits Who?
Owen Paterson, formerly Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, has estimated that when the UK withdraws from the CAP, the price of food to UK consumers will drop by about 7%, thereby adding to their real incomes.
The UK has been and will continue to be a net loser under the rules of CAP, ‘Common Agricultural Policy’. The European Union applies tariffs to imported food and subsidizes farmers such that price in the shops are artificially high.  Some tariffs on Dairy products are as high as 50%, the average sits at 35%. Other tariffs, sugar as an example there is a 25% tariff, cereals 15%. This is a burden on our weekly shopping bill, hence, why Owen Patterson claimed our weekly shopping bill will reduce by 7%.
However, by leaving the EU, opening the door to imports we will impact our home farmers.  Some level of debate will be needed to assist farmers to expand new ways of land use, perhaps environmental and tourism, this would require some form of public subsidy in the short term.  Regardless, support will be needed much as there was support prior to our entry to the Common Market back in 1973.
It's important to bear in mind two points 1. Farming in the UK generates only 1% of our GDP, manufacturing provides for 10%.  2. If you look to the other countries for examples then you quickly see that New Zealand were faced with a similar dilemma in 1985, tariffs were removed brining competition to an already desperate wine industry. Prior to 1985 New Zealand had a wine industry that only had an internal market.  The reason for this can be explained by a quote from Sir Lockwood Smith, former NZ High Commissioner to the UK, he referred to their wine industry, he likened it to drinking battery acid.  Today 30 years after the abolition of the tariff New Zealand has a vast international market and is respected for producing excellent wines.
When we are able to free ourselves from excessive EU regulations particularly around concerns for health, safety and environment, all of which do little for any of those three points they only add to the protectionist nature of the EU.
Since 1992, the EU has approved 2404 experimental GM field trials for research. In comparison, over the same time there have been 18,381 GM trials for research in the USA. In crops for commercial use, there is only one GM crop, an insect resistant maize variety, that is grown commercially in the EU and no GM crops have yet been approved for human consumption as fresh fruit or vegetable. In comparison, there have been 117 commercial releases in the USA since 1992 and in other countries outside Europe.
Source: Royal Society
GM is a controversial subject, many will see the EU as standing up for values but there are many studies that show the risks as limited. To not embrace GM in some regulated fashion severely handicaps the EU, particularly as global population increase. Currently the status quo protects a few interested parties, producer's at the expense of the consumer. We must open our minds and remove the shackles if for no other reason the family budgets are stretched way beyond the point where life is enjoyable.
There will be considerable adjustment required within the farming community, some may find it painful. But in the medium to long term they too will benefit should they make the adjustment alongside government policies. Just as the New Zealand wine producers did.

Running: Runners should do the right thing in a health-challenged world – Sports – Bucks County Courier Times
Wearing masks and socially distancing are essential these days.
So it’s 90 degrees in the shade and that mask you’re wearing — or supposed to be wearing — is beginning to feel like one of those hot facial towels they use at a resort spa.
Maybe you’re running in a park, on a shady canal towpath or crossing one of several bridges over the Delaware into New Jersey.
There’s a great temptation to want to remove that mask, especially if you’re running alone. And, with common sense, that’s generally OK.
When someone comes along from the opposite direction, you quickly put on your mask and duly swerve a bit to the right to allow for some proper social distancing.
That’s when you notice the person coming the other way not only isn’t wearing a mask but isn’t even going to make an attempt to move to the right.
This is where some of us have to count to 10 and take the high road, noting at least one person in this exchange did the right thing.
All that said, four months into the pandemic it’s clear some people just don’t get it.
Yes, we know it’s the outdoors and the risk of catching or passing along COVID-19 is less than, say, inside your local supermarket.
But whatever happened to courtesy and respect for your fellow man?
Well, you reply, don’t you pay attention to the nightly TV news and see that all those states which opened too soon are paying for it now? Isn’t that sort of the same disregard, only sanctioned by authorities, in order for it to appear morally (and legally) right?
That’s not helping a runner trying to navigate a 6-foot wide pedestrian lane on the Washington Crossing Bridge at high noon with a half-dozen unmasked folks coming straight ahead, oblivious to the signs posted on both ends of the bridge which say “WEAR A MASK!’’
This sort of health-threatening situation was brought to the attention of representatives of the Delaware River Port Authority on both sides of the bridge.
“Sir,’’ a woman in the booth pointed out with a pleasant voice on the Jersey side of the river, “the sign is just a ‘guideline,’ not a law. There’s really nothing we can do to stop them.’’
Hmmm. Even back when N.J. Gov. Phil Murphy mandated that everyone had to wear a mask in public, even outdoors? Or is the bridge some sort of no-man’s land, where laws have about as much chance of getting enforced as Tombstone in the 1800s?
Ditto any path in parks such as around Lake Galena, not far from Doylestown.
A group of maskless youngsters gathered on the side of a 6-foot wide path, goofing around, one of them lying down on the pavement as sort of a human semi-roadblock, just to show his pals how cool he was.
When asked to move aside and clear some space, the inevitable wisecrack followed. Suffice to say, there was enough of a grass shoulder to avoid any sort of confrontation.
Such is life when schools are closed for the pandemic.
Dogs off leashes on the canal path between Bristol and New Hope used to be our biggest pet peeve.
But now runners who refuse to at least follow basic safety protocols are quickly moving up the list.
It’s simply amazing how many runners and cyclists appear oblivious to signs posted on bridges, etc. They can’t seem to grasp the concept that they aren’t working out in their backyards, they’re exercising in a park funded by taxpayers. A park which has rules.
Look, we know there are so many violators they’ve created their own “herd immunity.’’ It’s like 50 cars doing 80 and passing a speed trap cop car. How’s he going to give out 50 speeding tickets?
So it’s up to each individual to do the right thing.
You’re a runner. You show discipline in your training, you take pride in staying in shape and the last thing you need is having to run through a cloud of infectious respiratory droplets from somebody who should have at least some basic knowledge of our situation.
Be considerate and go to sleep at night knowing you did your part to make the running world a better place.

CSN Event Report: Why mitochondrial donation is important
Event date: 28 November 2018
Tumblr media
Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell. The result of a symbiotic relationship that began over two billion years ago. As oxygen levels on earth rose, a bacterium engulfed a smaller bacterium which used oxygen to produce energy. Once inside, the small bacterium was well protected and thrived. In exchange for this protection it could support its host when food was scarce, using free oxygen to produce energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). These bacteria evolved together, eventually becoming the mitochondria that power our cells.
One of the remnants of these ancient beginnings is mitochondrial DNA. Separate from the nuclear genes that define our unique features, mitochondrial DNA is a small circular molecule we all carry. Its only role is to encode components critical for mitochondrial function. However, mutations in this DNA can result in mitochondrial disease, an energy production disorder that has serious implications for patients and their families.
The nuclear genes that make us who we are come from both our parents, but all mitochondrial DNA comes from our mother’s egg. Maternal inheritance means mitochondrial DNA diseases often plague whole families as the mutations are passed on through female heirs. Unfortunately, these disorders can also be difficult to diagnose because the symptoms and presentations are variable with significant differences between siblings, tissues, and even individual cells.
Imagine having a history of hearing loss and low body weight run in your family. You might just dismiss these as family traits and adapt your lifestyle accordingly. Now imagine your mother starts experiencing digestive issues, then shortly after a simple colonoscopy begins to deteriorate and develop what you perceive to be an eating disorder. After being in and out of hospital for over a year, she is losing muscle and starts refusing help. No longer willing to wear her hearing aids, you slowly lose the ability to communicate with your own mum.
While all this is happening, your brother starts experiencing heart issues and biopsies reveal he has mitochondrial cytopathy. You start to wonder, what if this is all connected? What if your ‘family traits’ are really pointing to a history of mitochondrial disease? Then, only days after receiving antibiotics for an infection contracted in hospital, your mum passes away.
Tumblr media
Shelley Beverley does not have to imagine, this is just a part of her real-life story. After losing her mum, Shelley sought testing for mitochondrial disease and discovered she has a mutation that causes Mitochondrial Encephalopathy, Lactic acidosis, and Stroke-like episodes, commonly known as MELAS. Sadly, there is no known treatment for mitochondrial disease and Shelley also lost her brother before his 35th birthday, less than a year and a half after her mum passed. Now, after losing half her family to this disorder, Shelley is hoping to have a child of her own to carry on her mother’s memory. However, maternal inheritance of mitochondrial DNA means Shelley would pass on her mutation to her children. Fortunately, there are reproductive options available to minimise this risk.
Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is an in vitro fertilisation technique that can take advantage of the fact that not all mitochondria carry the mutation. The percentage of mutant mitochondria in a cell is called the mutant load and is part of what makes the symptoms of mitochondrial disease so variable. As cells divide the mutant load can change depending on how the mitochondria are distributed when division occurs. This variability means PGD can be used to select an embryo with a low mutant load, minimising the risk of Shelley having a child with mitochondrial disease. Regrettably, after five rounds of PGD, Shelley has still not been able to find such an embryo.
It has been recognised that despite PGD being an excellent option for some patients with mitochondrial disease, it is not always effective. This has led Professor Sir Doug Turnbull to lead some ground-breaking research in the field of mitochondrial donation. The technique his group have developed can offer patients with mitochondrial disorders, like Shelley, another reproductive option. Unfortunately, this technique has yet to be legalised in Australia.
Mitochondrial donation is a technique designed solely to prevent the transmission of mitochondrial DNA diseases and has been in development since 2000 in the Turnbull lab. This research has built on decades of experience in mice and has been optimised for use in human eggs. The technique uses a process called pronuclear transfer, where the pronuclei from the parents fertilised egg are transferred to an enucleated donor egg. The resulting embryo contains the parent’s genetics and the mitochondria of a healthy donor. Any resulting child would carry the traits of the parents, as they normally would, but lack any mitochondrial mutations carried by the mother. Moreover, even if a resulting child were female, she would no longer be at risk of passing on the disease, effectively ending the cycle for that family.
Despite this technique being able to prevent further transmission of a terminal and debilitating illness that has likely affected families for generations, it is still illegal to perform in Australia. In fact, in 2010 when Sir Doug published the feasibility of this technique on human eggs, it was still illegal in the UK as well. Although they could do the research, they were not able to put the resulting embryos into a woman. To take this ground-breaking research to the clinic, Sir Doug worked with all levels of government to prompt policy change in the UK to permit the implantation of embryos “altered to prevent the transmission of serious mitochondrial disease”.
Tumblr media
The process to legalise this technique was exceptionally comprehensive and took over 10 years in the UK, starting back in 2005 when the Turnbull lab was first licenced to work on human embryos. Still, progress was challenged at nearly every stage by activist groups, the church, and the public. Additionally, the media was particularly counterproductive with terms like 3-parent babies drawing unwarranted attention by inaccurately portraying the technique and the ethical issues in question. However, despite the debate, the data showed that there was unquestionable benefits and three independent scientific inquiries certified the safety and efficacy of embryos generated through the technique.
After this incredibly thorough process, the House of Commons voted with an overwhelming majority of 382 to 128 and now this technique is currently being trialled in New Castle in patients. Sir Doug has remained closely involved in the development of the clinical pathway for this technique to ensure patients are well informed and are receiving the best possible care. He even helped ensure the first 75 patients are funded by the National Health Service by agreeing to enroll their child in a follow-up study at 18 months.
There are many patients in Australia, like Shelley, for whom time is of the essence and mitochondrial donation offers a life altering opportunity to have a child free of mitochondrial disease and end the cycle for their families. Groups like the mito foundation are advocating on behalf of the mitochondrial disease community in Australia by keeping pressure on parliament to ensure policy changes are implemented in a timely manner. We do not need to reinvent the wheel, Australia can follow the UK’s example. Their thorough process has set an excellent guide and should streamline the legalisation process here.
People like Shelley have lost enough to mitochondrial disease, they deserve to have reproductive choice.
Please show your support by contacting your local MP.

What people said about the event:
Heart-wrenching. She is a very courageous person. Her presentation gave me insight into the devastating effects of the disease.
Fantastic way of illustrating a real case of a disease.  I teach genetics,  and this was the first time I was confronted with evidence of a real case.
It was incredibly moving and totally revised my understanding of the disease.
A very moving, personal account of how mitochondrial disease has impacted her life. Prior to this, I was not aware that mitochondrial disease existed let alone the affect it has on people lives.
Poignant, moving, courageous, humbling, inspirational.

moral fabrics
NMP Professor Thio Li-ann: The ‘liberal’ camp wants 377A repealed. Repealing 377A is the first step in their radical, political agenda to subvert social morality, the common good and undermine our liberties. They offer an ‘argument from consent’ –government should not police the private sexual behaviour of consenting adults. They opine this violates their liberty or ‘privacy’. Consent to harmful acts is no defence – otherwise, our strong anti-drug laws must fall as it cannot co-exist with letting in recreational drugs as a matter of personal lifestyle choice. They ask, ‘Why criminalize something which does not “harm” anyone; if homosexuals are “born that way”. Isn’t it unkind to ‘discriminate’ against their sexual practices? These flawed arguments are marinated with distracting fallacies which obscure what is at stake. The ‘communitarian’ camp argues from ‘community values’ – these social conservatives want 377A retained, to protect public health, morality, decency and order. A Keep 377A online petition attracted over 15,000 signatures after a few days. [The latest---71,000+ Keep to 4,000+ Repeal (ST 9/9/18). Like many, I applaud the government’s wisdom in keeping 377A which conserves what upholds the national interest. ‘Conservative’ here is not a dirty word connoting backwardness; environmental conservation protects our habitat; the moral ecology must be conserved to protect what is precious and sustains a dynamic, free and good society. The welfare of future generations depends on basing law on sound public philosophy. We should reject the ‘argument from consent’ as its philosophy is intellectually deficient and morally bankrupt [and deceptive]. Sir, the arguments to retain 377A are overwhelmingly compelling..[to] enable legislators make informed decisions and not be bewitched by the empty rhetoric and emotional sloganeering employed by many radical liberals... Not only is retaining s377A sound public policy, it is legally and constitutionally beyond reproach. Responsible legislators must grapple with the facts, figures and principles involved; they cannot discount the noxious social consequences repeal will bring. The onus is on those seeking repeal to prove this will not harm society. Debate must be based on substance not sound-bites. Let me red-flag four red herrings. First, to say a law is archaic is merely a chronological snobbery. Second, you cannot say a law is ‘regressive’ unless you first identify your ultimate goal. If we seek to copy the sexual libertine ethos of the wild wild West, then repealing S377A is progressive. But that is not our final destination. Third, to say a law which criminalizes homosexual acts because many find it offensive is merely imposing a “prejudice” or “bias” assumes with justification that no reasonable contrary view exists. This evades debate. The ‘argument from consent’ says the state should keep out of the bedroom, to safeguard ‘sexual autonomy’. The liberal argument which says sodomy is a personal choice, private matter and ‘victimless crime’ [causing no “harm”]. But “harm” can be both physical and intangible [psychological]; victims include both the immediate parties and third parties. Because what is done in ‘private’ can have public repercussions. Fourth, some argue that legislators should be ‘open-minded’ and decriminalize sodomy. However,...an open mind must eventually close on something solid. They urge legislators to be ‘objective’ and to leave their personal subjective beliefs at home, especially if they hold religious views which consider homosexuality aberrant....but there are fundamental values beyond fashion and politics which serve the common good. Religious views are part of our common morality. We separate ‘religion’ from ‘politics,’ but not ‘religion’ from ‘public policy’. That would be undemocratic.... Incidentally, one does not have to be religious to consider homosexuality contrary to biological design and immoral; secular philosopher Immanuel Kant considered homosexuality “immoral acts against our animal nature” which did not preserve the species and dishonoured humanity. The issues surrounding S377A are about morality, not modernity or being cosmopolitan. You cannot make a human wrong a human right. What will foreigners think if we retain 377A?... Singapore is an independent state and we can decide the 377A issue ourselves; we have no need of [support from] foreign or neo-colonial moral imperialism in matters of fundamental morality... Sir, there are no constitutional objections to retaining 377A while de-criminalising heterosexual oral and anal sex. Three legal points are worth making. First, there is no constitutional right to homosexual sodomy. [Even Europe's liberal Parliament has recently ruled homosexuality is not an issue of human right]. It is not a facet of personal liberty under article 9 of Singapore Constitution. Nor is there a human right to homosexual sodomy though some like to slip this in under the umbrella of ‘privacy.’ Human rights are universal, like prohibitions against genocide. Demands for ‘homosexual rights’ are the political demands of a narrow interest group masquerading as legal entitlements.... Second, while homosexuals are a numerical minority, there is no such thing as ‘sexual minorities’ at law. ‘Sexual minorities’ and ‘sexual orientation’ are vague terms – covering anything from homosexuality, bestiality, incest, paedophilia – do all these minority sexual practices merit protection? Activists have coined this term to draw a beguiling but fallacious association between homosexuals and legally recognized minorities like racial groups. Race is a fixed trait. It remains controversial whether homosexual orientation is genetic or environmental, perhaps both. There are no ex-Blacks but there are ex-gays. So the analogy between race and sexual orientation or preferred sexual preferences, is false. Activists repeat the slogan ‘sexual minority’ ad nausem as a deceptive political ploy to get sympathy from people who don’t think through issues carefully. Repetition does not cure fallacy. Science has become so politicized that the issue of whether gays are ‘born that way’ depends on which scientist you ask. You cannot base sound public philosophy on poor politicized pseudo ‘science’. Homosexuality is a gender identity disorder; there are numerous examples of former homosexuals successfully dealing with this. Just this year, two high profile US activists left the homosexual lifestyle, the publisher of Venus, a lesbian magazine, and an editor of Young Gay America. Their stories are available on the net. An article by an ex-gay in the New Statesmen this July identified the roots of his emotional hurts, like a distant father, overbearing mother and sexual abuse by a family friend; after working through his pain, his unwanted same-sex attractions left. While difficult, change is possible and a compassionate society would help those wanting to fulfill their heterosexual potential. There is hope. Singapore law only recognizes racial and religious minorities. Special protection is reserved for the poor and disadvantaged; the average homosexual person in Singapore is both well-educated, with higher income – that’s why upscale condo developers target them! Third, 377A does not breach the article 12 guarantee of equality. Homosexuals do not deserve special rights, just the rights we all have. While all human persons are of equal worth, not all human behaviour is equally worthy. We separate the actor from the act. In criminalizing acts, we consider the wrongfulness of the act, the harm caused and how it affects the good of society... S377A does not target any specific actor; it would cover a heterosexual male experimenting with male sodomy.... Public Health Argument Sir, public health and safety is a legitimate purpose served by the 377A ban on homosexual anal and oral sex. In serving public health (and public morality), 377A passes constitutional muster with flying colours. Both these practices are efficient methods of transmitting sexual diseases and AIDs/HIV which are public health problems. These are not victimless crimes as the whole community has to foot the costs of these diseases. Anal-penetrative sex is inherently damaging to the body and a misuse of organs, like shoving a straw up your nose to drink. The anus is designed to expel waste; when something is forcibly inserted into it, the muscles contract and cause tearing; fecal waste, viruses carried by sperm and blood thus congregate, with adverse health implications like ‘gay bowel syndrome’, anal cancer. ‘Acts of gross indecency’ under 377A also covers unhygienic practices like “rimming” where the mouth comes into contact with the anus. Opposite-sex sodomy is harmful, but medical studies indicate that same-sex sodomy carries a higher price tag for society because of higher promiscuity and frequency levels. The New York Times reported that even informed homosexuals return to unsafe practices like bare-backing and bug-chasing after a health crisis wanes. A British Study showed that the legalization of homosexual sodomy correlated with an upsurge of STDs among gays. Common sense tells us that with more acceptance, any form of consensual sexual behaviour increases. Sodomy laws have some deterrent effect. It is rational for the state to target the most acute aspect of a [social] problem. The legal issue is...whether it is reasonable to believe same-sex sodomy poses a distinct [public health] problem. Medical literature indicates that gays have disproportionately higher STDs rates, which puts them in a different category [of risks] from the general public, warranting different treatment. The onus rests on opponents of 377A to negate every conceivable basis for treating homosexual and heterosexual sodomy differently. They cannot... Public Morality Sir, the power to legislate morality is not limited to preventing demonstrable harm. The Penal Code now criminalizes the wounding of both religious and racial feelings (S498). S377A serves public morality; the argument from community reminds us we share a way of life which gives legal expression to the moral repugnancy of homosexuality. Heterosexual sodomy unlike homosexual sodomy does not undermine the understanding of heterosexuality as the preferred social norm. To those who say that 377A penalizes only gays not lesbians---note there have been calls to criminalize lesbianism too. Public sexual morality must buttress strong families based on faithful union between man and wife, the best model for raising children. The state should not promote promiscuity nor condone sexual exploitation [or risks-inherent sexual experimentation.]New section 376D criminalizes the organisation of child sex tours. Bravo. While we cherish racial and religious diversity, sexual diversity is a different kettle of fish. Diversity is not license for perversity. This radical liberal argument is pernicious, a leftist philosophy based on radical individualism and radical egalitarianism. It is unworkable because every viable moral theory has limits to consent. Radical individualism would demand decriminalising consensual adult incest; but the Penal Code is not based on consent as S376F reflects. The state has always retained an interest in regulating conduct in the bedroom – the issue is which type? Radical egalitarianism applied to sexual morality says the state should not morally distinguish between types of consensual sex. It exudes a false neutrality but actually sneaks in a substantive philosophy: Hedonism which breeds narcissism. This extols satisfying desire without restraint as a matter of autonomy. But some desires are undesirable, harming self and society. The argument from consent ultimately celebrates sexual libertarian values, the fruit of which is sexual licentiousness, a culture of lust, which takes, rather than love, which gives. This social decline will provoke more headlines like a 2004 Her World article called: “Gay guy confesses: I slept with 100 men…one of them could be your hubby.” What about the broken-hearts involved? If you argue from consent, how can you condemn any form of sexual self-expression, no matter how selfish or hurtful? Ideas, embodied in laws, have consequences. Don’t send the wrong message. The issues raised in the Petition fall apart on rigorous analysis. Rule of Law vs. Rule of Good Law Sir, government policy is not to pro-actively enforce 377A. Some argue that just keeping this law on the books will erode the rule of law. I disagree. It is not turning a blind eye on the existence of homosexuals here; it is refusing to celebrate homosexuality while allowing gays to live quiet lives. This is prudent, as it is difficult to enforce ‘bedroom’ offences; such intrusive powers should be judiciously used anyway. We have other hard-to-police laws which embody communal standards of public decency, such as laws against nudity visible to the public eye, even if you are at home. Law is a Moral teacher and makes a moral statement; 6 years ago, Singapore symbolically blocked access to 100 porn sites, as a ‘statement of our values.’ We value our values, while remaining realistic. A non pro-active policy does not mean 377A will never be enforced – who knows what another season may require?.. Sir, citizens are not just concerned with the rule of law but with the rule of good law. Laws which violate core moral values will alienate many and bring the system into disrepute. Indeed, many citizens see keeping 377A as evidence the government is defending the right moral values, which lends legitimacy. Criminalising Moral Wrongs – which? Sir, it is true that not all moral wrongs, such as adultery, are criminalized; yet they retain their stigma. But adulterors know they done wrong and do not lobby for toleration of adultery as a sexual orientation right. Homosexual Agenda and Its Social Consequences Conversely, homosexual activists lobby hard for a radical sexual revolution, waging a liberal fundamentalist crusade against traditional morality. They adopt a ‘step by step’ approach to hide how radical the agenda is. Liberals never ask: what happens next if you repeal 377A. Responsible legislators must see the Big Picture. Pro-gay academics identify 5 main steps in this agenda in their study of foreign jurisdictions. Step 1: repeal laws criminalizing homosexual sex. They consider this “pivotal” to advancing the homosexual agenda. Why? Without this, they cannot advance in the public sphere or push for government funding and support for special programmes, such as the New York Gay High School. Governments don’t promote criminal activities. You need to change the criminal law before changing civil law. But decriminalizing sodomy is only the tip of the iceberg which is 1/8 of an ice mass – we must see what lies beneath the water to avoid a Titanic fate. Step 2 is to equalize the age of consent for heterosexual and homosexual sex; in some countries, this is as low as 13. Do we want to expose Sec 1 boys to adult sexual predators? To be sexually creative? Step 3 is to prohibit discrimination based on ‘sexual orientation’. But would this not include all sexual behaviour? “Sex before 8 or else it’s too late” is the motto of the North American Man-Boy Love Association. Should we judge pedophilia or be relativistic and promote “anything goes” sexual experimentation? Sir, to protect homosexuals, some countries have criminalized not sodomy but opposition to sodomy, making it a ‘hate crime’ to criticize homosexuality. This violates freedom of speech and religion. Will sacred texts that declare homosexuality morally deviant, like the Bible and Koran, be criminalized too? Social unrest beckons. Such assaults on constitutional liberties cannot be tolerated. Steps 4 and 5 relate to legalizing same-sex marriage or partnerships, child adoption rights. This subverts both marriage and family, which are institutions homosexuals seek to redefine beyond recognition. Will MOE then commission a book copying the US “Heather has 2 mummies” called “Ah Beng has 2 daddies?” What if parents disagree with their kids studying homosexual propaganda? Is legalizing same-sex marriage progressive? It is if you want a genderless planet where “husband” and “wife” are considered discriminatory terms, to be replaced by “spouse”. [How silly!] We want to be able to say, Majullah Singapura, not Mundur Singapura! Repealing 377A will further batter the institution of ‘marriage’ which we must bolster! This is because the arguments raised to challenge a distinction between heterosexual and homosexual sodomy, equally apply to challenge legal distinctions between lawful heterosexual marriage between man and wife and unlawful homosexual unions. To reinforce the moral foundations of a pro-family policy that permits only heterosexuals to marry, it is permissible to differentiate between heterosexual and homosexual sodomy. To say that 377A discriminates is effectively saying that marriage laws discriminate and are unconstitutional. Legalising sodomy would set a bad example; by signaling approval, it may change both attitude and conduct; coupled with sexual hedonism, it makes a mockery of strong family values. 377A helps to protect against this harm. Academic supporters of the homosexual agenda like my colleague Michael Hor argued online that even if 377A was not enforced, discriminatory policies against homosexuals could be built on the logic of its existence. But taking his logic, repealing 377A would mean the government would be less able to resist claims for homosexual marriage or for promoting homosexuality as a desirable lifestyle in schools, as this would be ‘discriminatory’.These foreign developments warn us that the advance of the homosexual agenda here is not remote. To slouch back to Sodom is to return to the Bad Old Days in ancient Greece or even China where sex was utterly wild and unrestrained, and homosexuality was considered superior to man-women relations. Women’s groups should note that where homosexuality was celebrated, women were relegated to low social roles; when homosexuality was idealized in Greece, women were objects not partners, who ran homes and bore babies. Back then, whether a man had sex with another man, woman or child was a matter of indifference, like one’s eating preferences. The only relevant category was penetrator and penetrated; sex was not seen as interactive intimacy, but a doing of something to someone. How degrading. It was only when marriage was invented by the Jewish Torah that the genie of sexual impulses was forced into the marital bottle, so that sex no longer dominated society – this discipline provided the social base for the development of western civilization. Homosexuals as fellow citizens have the right to expect decent treatment from the rest of us; but they have no right to insist we surrender our fundamental moral beliefs [and freedom of speech] so they can feel comfortable about their sexual behaviour. We should not be subject to the tyranny of the undemocratic minority who want to violate our consciences, trample on our cherished moral virtues and threaten our collective welfare by imposing homosexual dogma on right-thinking people. Sir, Keep 377A and Keep Democracy and Debate We Singaporeans will continue to debate and disagree over controversial moral issues as they arise. We should make substantive arguments and not think with our feelings; the media should present both sides fairly, without bias. However, I have noted a disturbing phenomenon over the 377A debate– the argument by insult. Instead of reasoning, some have resorted to name-calling to intimidate and silence their opponents. People with principled moral objections to the homosexual agenda are tarred and fingered as ‘homophobes’, ‘bigots’, to shut them up. This strategy is unoriginally imported from foreign gay activists, which stifles creative thinking and intellectual enquiry. When you shout, full of sound and fury, and call your opponents nasty names, this terminates public debate. No one wants to be called a bigot. But think about it – if I oppose incest, am I an incestophobe? If I oppose alcoholism, am I a winophobe? If my having an opinion means you are bigoted, then we are all bigots! What is your phobia then? Where certain liberals accuse their opponents of being intolerant, they demonstrate their own intolerance towards their opponents! They are hoisted on their own petard, guilty of everything they accuse their detractors of! One of my colleagues, a young professor, suffered these vicious tactics when the Straits Times published an article this May where Yvonne Lee argued against repealing 377A. This well-researched, cogent article so incensed homosexual activists that they flooded her with a torrent of abusive, lewd emails and wrote to her head of department calling for her to be removed from her job. This appeared to be a co-ordinated campaign. We academics are used to disagreement, but why write to her employer and threaten her livelihood? Why vilify someone and seek to assassinate their personal and professional reputation? I hope the House joins me in deploring these malicious attacks which also assault academic freedom. Ms Yvonne Lee is owed an apology. I would be ashamed to belong to any academic institution that cravenly bowed down to such disgraceful bully-boy tactics. This August, I had my own experience with this sort of hysterical attack. I received an email from someone I never met, full of vile and obscene invectives which I shall not repeat, accusing me of hatemongering. It cursed me and expressed the wish to defile my grave on the day 377A was repealed. I believe in free debate but this oversteps the line. I was distressed, disgusted, upset enough to file a police report. Does a normal person go up to a stranger to express such irrational hatred? Smear tactics indicate the poor quality of debate and also, of character. Let us have rational debate, not diatribe, free from abusive rhetoric and tantrum-throwing. As Singapore approaches her Jubilee, my hope for the post-65 generation is that we will not become an uncivil society borne from an immature culture of vulgarity which celebrates the base, not the noble. I speak, at the risk of being burned at the stake by militant activists. But if we don’t stand for something, we will fall for anything. I was raised to believe in speaking out for what is right, good and true, no matter the cost. It is important in life not only to have a Brain, but a Spine. One of my favourite speeches by PM Lee, which I force my students to read, is his Harvard Club speech 2 years ago where he urged citizens not to be “passive bystanders” in their own fate, but to debate issues with reason and conviction. I took this to heart. To forge good policy, we need to do our homework and engage in honest debate on the issues. Let us also speak with civility, which cannot be legislated, but draws deep from our character and upbringing. Before government can govern man, man must be able to govern himself. So let speaking in the public square with reason, passion, honesty, civility, even grace, be the mark of a Citizen of Singapore, Sir. https://youtu.be/fOKIo4cNdao

Safe driving protects your brain
Safe driving protects your brain
When it comes to protecting brain health, you may think about exercise, diet, or engaging in activities that challenge you. Yet most of us hop into the car to travel to work, do errands, go on vacations, or drive the kids’ carpool as a matter of habit. But driving is a huge responsibility. One miscalculation on your part or the part of another driver and the results could be disastrous. Staying safe in the car not only protects your body, but also your brain. Follow these common-sense tips and recommendations, understand the law, and never take chances.
Safe driving means never drive if you are feeling woozy, overtired, or can’t see properly
Perhaps your young child has kept you awake for most of the night, and you can tell as you prepare your morning cup of coffee that you are shaky and slow. This is a good day to use public transportation (maybe you can catch a brief nap if you can grab a seat), call a friend for a ride, or use Lyft. Think about backup options for travel, and remember that being green means cutting down on your carbon footprint. If you have a long commute each day, maybe you can arrange a carpool with coworkers.
Always wear your seatbelt — and think about car “ergonomics”
A favorite story is that of a former surgeon general who tapped a taxi driver on the shoulder, and said “Sir, if you don’t buckle your seatbelt, I cannot proceed with this ride.” This should motivate us all to make sure that when we are passengers, the driver is wearing a seatbelt too. Modern cars have features to bolster safety, but they only work if you use them. Sit in your car while it’s in the driveway. Make sure the headrest as at the right height. Make sure you are close enough to reach the pedals and the wheel, but not right on top of it.
Think “defensively.” If the car stopped suddenly to avoid a crash, would your knees smash into the console? And most importantly, would your head be protected? A rapid forward-and-back head movement can bruise your brain, even without direct impact. In the case of a rear-impact collision, the brain accelerates forward and then bounces back against the skull. Even a minor accident can trigger headache and neck pain that need time and rest to recover from. So, make sure you’re positioned properly in your car, and if you share with a family member, be sure to readjust for each driver.
Kids must be buckled in the right car seat
It goes without saying that children should be carefully strapped into the proper size car seats, in the back seat of the car, and once they’re not babies, taught to behave calmly in the car. On long rides, car games and songs can make the time pass safely and are distracting and entertaining. Animals should be safely strapped in as well. Remember that in the event of a crash, an unrestrained pet is a projectile that can propel forward, hitting another passenger or the driver and potentially worsening a bad situation. Teach car safety starting with the youngest children and never put your foot on the gas unless everyone is safely strapped in.
What about a loss of consciousness or a seizure?
Here is where it gets tricky. Every state has different rules for when people who have experienced these situations are allowed to drive again. (Massachusetts says six months without another loss of consciousness event, such as a faint or seizure.) Your doctor must tell you this and must document that he or she has done so, but then you are responsible for reporting this to the Registry of Motor Vehicles. If your doctor is worried that you represent an ongoing danger, then he or she must follow up. Most people understand the risk of driving if there is a chance of a serious medical event, but because we all rely on our cars, it can be life-changing to be told that you are not able to drive for a certain amount of time. Think creatively about alternatives, such as carpools and public transportation. Again, if you have a seizure and lose consciousness while driving, you’re endangering not just yourself and your passengers, but every other car on the road.
Have a plan in case of an accident
Here are a few things to remember in the event of a fender-bender:
Take photos with your phone of your car, and anyone else’s car involved.
Take a photo of the other driver’s car insurance and license if you are able to as well.
Make notes of exactly what happened and contact the police to file a report immediately if you are not injured.
If you have any injury, please seek medical evaluation immediately. Sometimes, neck pain and headache will not start until the day after an accident. Check in with your PCP, who may recommend ice, medication such as ibuprofen, or further evaluation based on your symptoms.
The bottom line on safe driving
Remember, a car is a large and dangerous machine. It’s only as safe as the person driving. Speeding and tailgating have no place on the road. One moment of miscalculation can have lifelong consequences. Protect your brain — and everyone else’s brain on the road — by driving with your seatbelt buckled, and safety and good judgement — not speed — propelling your drive.
