The fact that someone posted that they have a crush on one of my OCs had me rolling around like a dog that just got its belly rubbed. (I still love that person so much).

The character is Dr. Sjael Drummer, below.

And then another person messaged me, asking to include more of another OC! Eeeeee.

That OC is Inez Yao, below, a flirty MCRN nurse who is a terrible cook and gives nothing but affection onto a horrified (and NOT interested) Echo:

Hi folks!

If you haven't seen my posts, read my work, or checked out my art (or read my redneck neighbor's rants and raves about the show), you'll know I have a very sassy sense of humor.

And the biggest reason I love this show and gotten back into Star Wars after a 20+ year hiatus? Because my kids and neighbors love it.

I wake up on Wednesdays and watch the show with my oldest. I love being able to chat with her about it. I love that she's a Tech's-alive-truther and we can debate about that. Debate!

I text and talk over the fence with my neighbor, the glorious Redneck Doug, about it. I love that he's a Mayday/Phee shipper, as well as CodyWan. I love all his incredibly stupid names for the characters. I have laughed so hard, and I know you have too.

This show is really about bringing us together. And if you're having a rough time with the ending, I empathize and I understand. My DMs are open and I am here for you.

Finale’s are always a rollercoaster, series finales especially. They can be fun, devastating, sad, exhilarating, disappointing, everything we dreamed, or all of the above or none of those at all. Emotions run high, and it’s hard to say goodbye.

I’m here to offer that if the idea of The Bad Batch finale is making you physically sick, is genuinely impacting your day to day, or is impacting your mental health, I encourage you to do one or some of the following:

1. Reach out to someone in the fandom who you’re close to or feel comfortable reaching out to 2. Go outside in whatever capacity you’re able to whether that’s a walk or just sitting in a doorway or even being by an open window. Take in some fresh air 3. Take a break from chat forums or Reddit or tumblr where I’ve noticed an alarming uptick in anxiety induced posts about the finale

I’m saying this as someone who understands attachment to stories and characters. My body is a canvas of tattoos inspired by characters, Star Wars in particular. In fact, clones in particular. I’m excited and nervous to see what is in store for our Batch; however, fandom and media should not be a source for literal physical and mental discomfort to the point of affecting your base functions, and in the last few days, I’ve become worried over most of the posts I’ve seen. If this is happening to you, please reach out, please take a breath, and please make some space for you.

This goes for after the finale too. Consume, enjoy, process, discuss, engage, all of the beautiful fandom things. But please take the above steps if the same is happening to you post finale. We are a community, and I want this to always be a community of safety and comfort

I always have to reblog this every time I see it.

Look at all these aging space dads/uncles being Fine As Hell. The cheekbones and the hair and the forehead wrinkles.

I'm in my 30's and I prefer my men to be MEN.

To quote @eyecandyeoz: "Receding hairline gives me tenure. It gives me daddy."

Couldn't agree more.

Youthful skin and full heads of hair remind me of the undergraduate students I work with and that's just...no.

PS - 2/3's of all men, regardless of ethnic origin, will have hair loss by age 35, 85% by age 50. Deal with it.
