I'm so sorry to all the people following me for hermitcraft, tmnt or other fandoms as I hyperfixate and have been hyperfixated on Ascendence of a bookworm for well over a year - it's just so good! - It has rewritten my brain.

My friend is reading Ascendence of a bookworm for the first time and it's amusing to read their theories

Their thoughts below

She is a mage, and her magical tool is going to be a quill or brush

I fell like Fey will fall for Myne

The merchant, I feel he is going to be the bad guy of the story

I don't think Benno is evil anymore. I think he will be savour for Myne.

Lutz, will be Mynes best friend and likely fall in love with her in time. I am unsure if she will feel the same way for him though.

Probably might have happened if the end of p2 didn't happen

Freida I expect will be the one to convince the guildmaster to give her a magic tool, as she will not want to loose a friend to the devouring.

The guild master will not want to but I see him not being able to say no to his granddaughter.

I see Benno and Lutz have to make a great sacrifice to enable it to happen though as the guildmaster will frame it is such a way to win even if he was doing it for his granddaughter

Freida does give her a magic tool and it was to save her friend but it was also part of a bet...

Close but it's Myne who sacrifices some of her savings

I have a feeling she will meet a noble that will fall for Myne and then give her magical tools as a gift. And it will because of Freida introducing her to someone

Correct on most fronts... Ferdinand is the lord of evil for a reason but he's still a sweetie

Yeah that connection is father/daughter... but he was the 3rd option of a suitor in Ehrenfest

My friend who I got to start reading AoB has picked it up again starting where they left of with p4v6 and I'm getting amusing theories again!

Rozemyne is a distant member of the royal family (oof so close)

Rozemyne and Ferdinand will get together (can't wait for them to swear at me for how p4 ends)

There will be a new civil war which will take out the royal family (is it a civil war if the opposing side is a vassal kingdom, and yeah the royal family of lez do get wiped out so technically correct on the guess)

Additionally he is stuck between treason against the archduke to protect the child which will lead to his execution OR being punished for insubordination AGAIN which could lead to his execution as he received a lighter sentence and did not get executed the last time he didn't follow orders and protect the said child.

Luckily it was a bizzare situation and only got a pissed off verbal warning from a 7 yr old and probably another one from the high priest and knight commander for doing nothing but standing by and barely trying to protect his charge, which funny enough is the same thing that he did to get demoted

sylvester's introduction from damuel's perspective is so funny because he would recognize the archduke either from his baptism or his recent arrest unlike myne but unlike ferdinand or karstedt he can't like do anything about it. imagine getting bullied to tears by the archduke while he's disguised as a blue priest 1) before you know literally anything about why he's here and 2) shortly after you got arrested and then demoted in disgrace. who would ever believe you
