it hurts my soul how jason is perceived as the 'token straight' character in the fandom when he's most queer coded male character in the series. some might disagree but it's in the way he treats his allegedly girlfriend and his male friends -percy and leo in particular- the same. it's in all of it like how he describes them, the way he talks to them or how he acts around them. during his entire relationship with piper, or what they tried to make a relationship but failed, what put piper off was how he never had time for her and she always complained about it but when jason created time for her things they did was exactly the things jason did with his male friends. the biggest example of this is how piper always wanted to watch the stars or sky and complained that they couldn't but throughout the series jason's always the person to wake percy up when the sky is a sight.
