Hoo boy.

Last night, I dreamt that Eggman got his own solo game. Like, officially-made by SEGA themselves. I remember in the dream I was watching some game-play thinking "Ah, good for him =)" Then I woke up and realized that no he doesn't have his own game (hey, SEGA, you should totally get on that).

I bring this up because I actually thought up what an Eggman game would be like. I'm thinking it would be like the standard modern Sonic title (because even though it's its own thing it's still in the Sonic universe) with some real-time strategy thrown in. The story would be Eggman found a distant galaxy filled with planets each rich with resources but then an alien fleet shows up and they fight over who gets to claim it (I think you know who'd come out on top X3).

Obviously, you take control of Eggman as he leads his army into battle against the alien fleet. The game play would revolve around his wit, resourcefulness, and fighting prowess. There could be a mechanic where you could sway enemy soldiers to fight on your side and then dispose of them once they were no longer useful >:) You could also build your own ships, robots, weapons, and gain access to all kinds of goodies like custom outfits for Eggman. You would have to build fortresses and factories and make sure to protect them as best as you can while hitting the enemy right where it counts.I just now realized while writing this that it ties in with one of my thoughts about Eggman gathering resources from other planets, so that worked out nicely

What are y'all's thought's about this? If it were real, would you play it?

Yeah, I made this only for the stupid pun which I'm sure a lot of others beat me to a long time ago, but screw it, I'm contributing.

I'll be honest, I would be a bit more interested in Nega here if he actually looked like this XD (only because I really love snakes. They're super cute, even the scary ones). As it stands, I care so little for him I forget he exists sometimes (no offense meant to anyone who actually likes him. You're all cool =) ).

I just had a thought: what if, instead of hating him so much, Eggman Nega liked his predecessor so much he tried to be like him but just kept screwing up? Like, he still knows about his failures but what if he didn't care about that and sought to be like him regardless?

I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

A tribute piece to one of my favorite levels in Sonic Adventure 2 Cosmic Wall. Not only was the low gravity gimmick fun, but the music here absolutely slaps (I listened to the 30 minute extension a few times while making this XD). I spent a long time trying to think up a good composition and the best I could make was Eggman getting harassed by space squishies (not that I blame him; those things are fucking annoying XP).

I'll be honest, I really love making these despite how annoying and tedious it can be. I enjoy the challenge of looking at a game's textures up close and trying to imperfectly recreate them as best as I can. I'm definitely gonna do more in the future.

Anyway, I'm surprised I didn't come up with something like this last year. I thought it up right after I made that St. Patrick's Day pic. Of course I had to put him in a pink bunny suit because why not? Although it was unintended, it reminds me of the killer from Puppet Combo's "Murder House".
