Honestly I would argue for Sizhui being the worst courtesy name because yeah longing for and missing WHO?? Dad? Dad?? Wanna follow up on that here??? Everyone in the know about the Wangxian debacle getting a tension headache, and everyone not in the know all ?????? So there WAS a lost love HGJ knocked up??
JC: *in the know about Lan Yuan and very much not about to make it his problem* Whatever-I still hate LWJ
*Finds out about the courtesy name*
"What the fuck Hanguang Jun? Why not just name him 'Lan Love-Ballad-Wei-Ying'? He'll have something to complain about with his maybe-cousin 'Jin Lan-Zhan-Is-Handsome'! Why am I surrounded by idiots?!"
Also JC: *names his daughter Jiang Qinyang (Sunshine of the Heart); aka, Jiang Wen-Qing-Gave-Back-The-Comb*

Been seeing more than a couple posts saying:
“Why is Wei WuXian Sizhui’s father but Jiang Cheng not his uncle? Wei WuXian isn’t actually his father/ You shouldn’t be calling Wei WuXian Sizhui’s father/etc.”
The reason why we can call Wei WuXian Sizhui’s father is because Sizhui himself calls Wei WuXian his father/father figure more than once in the story.
The first time is during his life as Wen Yuan during Yiling Date. Fanon loves to say that a-Yuan was calling Lan WangJi his father but that just plain wrong.
Guys, Wen Yuan is one years old during this scene. He just met Lan WangJi and was terrified of him. There is no way in the world that a one year old is going to call a man he just ran into randomly his father.
We have to presume Wen Yuan’s parents are dead because they aren’t in the Burial Mounds; Wen Yuan is either with his grandmother or Wei WuXian in the scenes he’s in. It’s also impossible for him to have any memories of his birth parents because he was a literal infant in the labor camps and we have the added knowledge that even Wei WuXian has no memories of his parents when he lost them when he was four, so what chance does a-Yuan have?
Wen Yuan was in the market with Wei WuXian. Wen Yuan got bored and walked away from Wei WuXian without his notice. (Kids do this, I’m sure a lot of you did it at least once as a child.) Wen Yuan realized he lost sight of Wei WuXian and then ran into Lan WangJi. Upon seeing Lan WangJi’s face, Wen Yuan immediately started crying and calling for his “father”.
There is literally one person in this scenario he could be calling for and it’s not Lan WangJi.
Later, after WangJi leaves the Burial Mounds, when WuXian says he heard a-Yuan call WangJi his father, Wen Yuan literally says that he wasn’t talking about Lan WangJi. He wasn’t calling for any of the other Wen Remnants because he refers to them as aunts and uncles, granny, etc.
The second time is during his life as Lan Yuan.
During Yi City, Sizhui tells Wei WuXian, while he still believed him to be Mo XuanYu, that he felt safe around him and that nothing could go wrong while he was there- the same way he felt about Lan WangJi. He also later tells Wei WuXian that Lan WangJi was both an older brother and father figure to him.
Once Sizhui regains his memories, the first thing he does is follow Wei WuXian and then breaks down crying about how much he missed him. His memories resurfaced from seeing ChenQing, something he was around a lot as an infant because he was using it as a teething toy; which we can infer means Wei WuXian spent a lot of time around Wen Yuan as a child because you’re not leaving your main weapon alone with a baby.
Jiang Cheng is not Sizhui’s uncle because Jiang Cheng murdered his entire family and tried to kill him. He is not his uncle because the narrative states that when Jiang Cheng first saw Wen Yuan, freshly recused from from the labor camps, that he “had no love in him at all” and then not long after demanded he be returned to the labor camps.
Sizhui has no reason to see Jiang Cheng as a family member. Sizhui has no reason to love Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng is not a part of his family.

Lan xichen out there trying his best to keep people from finding out that lan wangji is a hot gay mess who based all of his future aspirations on a whirlwind romance he imagined for himself and this one kid he met in detention. Lan wangji out there trying to keep people from finding out that lan xichen genuinely thought dishes got thrown out once they were used and was shocked and delighted to find out the kitchen washed them. The elegant twin jades of gusu is a lie. Just two brothers trying really hard to fill in the holes behind each others' backs

Title: your words upon my lips
Author: uchiuchi
Universe: Post Canon - Case fic
Status: Complete
Length: Epic (18K)
Rating: Teen
Summary:
A silence blankets the air around them. Wei Wuxian closes his eyes and recaps the last couple of minutes: him asking (a little crudely) what happened, the juniors looking like Lan Wangji had just announced his deep hatred for rabbits, Lan Wangji himself looking like he’d just announced his deep hatred for rabbits, both of them asking the same question, and—
Realization seeps into Wei Wuxian’s bones.
He looks up at Lan Wangji, and Lan Wangji is staring right back at him, and Wei Wuxian’s lips are still tingling, and Lan Wangji is still poking at his own.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Lan Wangji groans.
At the same time, Wei Wuxian murmurs, “Ah.”
(In which Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji investigate a curse and get cursed instead. Everything they try to say comes out of the other person’s mouth. It can only go downhill from there.)

Comments:
“Wangji? Are you back?”
Wei Wuxian jumps in surprise, pushing himself off of Lan Wangji’s lap. Upon seeing Lan Qiren, he brings a hand to his chest. “Uncle, you really know how to scare the robes off of someone, don’t you?” he jokes, then freezes. The room goes silent, so silent that it rings in Wei Wuxian’s ears. He barely has time to look at Lan Wangji and scream apologies at him through his eyes before Lan Qiren, in the most figurative way possible, loses his mind.
“Wangji!” he splutters, face coloring red. “You—!”
Lan Wangji’s face immediately pales and he gets to his feet in record time.
“Uncle, let me explain,” comes out of Wei Wuxian’s mouth, frantic.
Oh no.
Lan Wangji turns to Wei Wuxian, silently begging him with his eyes.
Wei Wuxian understands. He gives him a quick nod and is about to repeat his words, but Lan Qiren cuts him off before he can. He points a trembling finger at Wei Wuxian. “Explain what? That this is what you teach my nephew?! To disrespect his elders with such foul imagery?!”
Wei Wuxian frowns. Foul is a bit too much. It’s not like he told Lan Qiren to personally take off his robes for him. But more than that, Wei Ying is really not in the mood for undeserved criticism, not when he’s cursed and has been digging through the entirety of Cloud Recesses’ library for hours. And so, Lan Qiren’s accusation causes him to momentarily forget why they’re even in this mess to begin with, and he blurts, “Why do you always jump to that conclusion?!”
And the words spill from Lan Wangji’s lips instead.
Wei Wuxian regrets it instantly.
As he surveys the room of one uncle, one husband, and two disciples, Wei Wuxian thinks to himself that he’s never seen so many Lans on the verge of fainting at the same time.
Wangxian get cursed and have to pretend to talk like each other. LWJ, as it turns out, is a great actor and WWX is absolutely thrilled by that revelation.
Or, an amazing and fun-filled take on “Let LWJ say fuck”  case fic!

❤️Night Breezes Seem To Whisper
by cqlorphan
E, 17k, wangxian
Summary: All the hair on the back of Lan Wangji’s neck stands straight. He finds himself pressed between the trunk of the tree at his front, and Wei Wuxian at his back. Wei Wuxian has a firm grip on the wrist which carries Bichen, and on his left upper arm. It feels…proprietary. Suddenly, and entirely inappropriately, a very old, very shameful memory surfaces, of a long-ago dream from which he had woken sweaty and shaking. The place on his chest where the resentment pierced him begins to throb painfully. Wei Wuxian breathes heavily against his ear for half a moment longer, and Lan Wangji feels himself flush.
Or; reuniting with Wei Wuxian after their year apart is complicated by a mysterious and deadly curse.
My comments: Ah, this was so full of all the best things: lwj too tongue-tangled to express himself, wwx convinced that he’s more annoying than anything else, a sex curse that forces you to enact the first sexual thought you have after it strikes you. And lwj, well, he’s had this dream from all the way back to the sunshot campaign, with a yiling patriarch who just TAKES… and it’s much too dishonorable a thing to pressure wwx into, and so he resigns himself to dying….
*I got here from stumbling over Author’s other sex-curse, fuck-or-die story, a twitter threadfic here. Which you should also read because it’s delicious.
post cql, post canon, POV lan wangji, case fic, pining, lack of communication, angst, pining while fucking, fuck or die, sex curse, misunderstandings, yiling patriarch kink, feels, top wei wuxian, bottom lan wangji, fluff, smut, hurt/comfort, dom/sub undertones, repressed lan wangji, first time, pining, love confessions, getting together, porn with feelings, pwp, happy ending, favorite, @jingyismom
