CW abortion, child abuse I’m a public health major set to graduate soon. In every single one of my classes, we learn that abortion will never go away or be stopped by laws trying to dictate what happens with a baby in utero. I was raised to be a Roman Catholic and to ‘love thine neighbor’. In every single Mass I ever went to, I was taught God loved us and hated everyone who would hurt a child. Not a word was ever spoken about the abuse of children at the hands of those who were supposed to be closer to god than anyone else among the congregation.

I was a child, and so are millions of others who had their choices taken from them. Why didn’t the American court system protect us?

If the Supreme Court strikes down Roe vs. Wade, many states have archaic and strict abortion laws that will snap back into place immediately, many with no exceptions of any sort. I’m sure everyone has heard the whole ‘talk to your senator’ and ‘donate to local providers’ bit, so I am not going to do that. What I am going to do is to say this: take care of yourselves. You have more allies than you might think.
