Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard and Scott Adkins are among the newcomers for this new installment of the big-screen series about the hitman who just can't stay successfully retired.

The creatives behind the John Wick franchise must lose sleep at night thinking how they can outdo themselves with each new installment. If so, it makes a strong case for insomnia, since John Wick: Chapter 4 outdoes its formidable predecessors in nearly every respect.

Bigger, badder, bolder, longer, and featuring nearly more spectacular set pieces than one movie can comfortably handle, this epic action film practically redefines the stakes. If at times it’s hard to avoid the feeling that the excessive mayhem is coming dangerously close to overkill, that seems suitable for a film series featuring body counts higher than some wars.

“The bloodshed in Osaka was not necessary,” one character observes after a typically violent melee in a luxury hotel that leaves scores dead and the premises practically in ruins. “The bloodshed was the point,” says another. And so it is with this hugely successful series featuring Keanu Reeves as the former hitman who thought he was out, only to be pulled back in, after his beloved puppy was killed in the first film. The bloodshed is the point — or, more accurately, the amazingly choreographed and photographed action sequences that make particular use of the combination of martial arts and gunplay battling known as “gun-fu.” This edition ups the ante further, with an impressively executed car chase/gun battle through the streets of Paris — including around the Arc de Triomphe — that brings “car-fu” into the violent mix.

Things aren’t going too well for the titular character as the film begins, which for him is not unusual. The High Table, that international criminal organization that seems to run the world, is out for his blood. To that end, their representative, the Marquis (Bill Skarsgard, enjoyably playing a character only slightly less villainous than his Pennywise), puts a huge bounty on his head, attracting such freelance operatives as the Tracker (Shamier Anderson), who doesn’t go anywhere without his loyal, and very lethal, Belgian Malinois. The Marquis also hires the blind but no less dangerous Caine (Hong Kong superstar Donnie Yen), a former friend of Wick’s who only accepts the assignment because the High Table will kill his daughter if he doesn’t.

Things aren’t going so well for Wick’s friends, either. Early in the proceedings, the High Table’s emissary, known as the Harbinger (Clancy Brown), shows up at the New York Continental Hotel, that comfortable downtown haven for assassins, and informs its owner Winston (Ian McShane, more delightfully droll than ever) and his faithful concierge (Lance Reddick) that the hotel will be demolished in one hour.

Newcomers to the series would do well to do some research beforehand, because as the above summary indicates, mythology is a strong element. It could be argued that, like so many franchises dealing with fantasy worlds, the creators have gotten carried away with their convoluted constructs. I won’t make that argument, since I consider the elaborate world the John Wick films have created, which looks so much like ours, to be one of its most delicious elements. But you couldn’t blame repeat viewers watching the film later on via streaming for fast-forwarding through the talky parts to get to the action.

To recount the highlights of those elaborately staged set pieces would take up too much space, because there are so damn many of them. (Fourteen in all, according to the filmmakers. I can’t vouch for accuracy, since I lost count.) Besides the aforementioned car chase and hotel battle featuring guns, swords, bows and arrows, and a large variety of improvised weapons (a Wick specialty), there’s an amazing fight scene set in a water-drenched, multi-level nightclub featuring hundreds of revelers who barely notice the face-off between Wick and the gold-toothed Killa. The latter is played by action movie star and former MMA fighter Scott Adkins, amusingly outfitted with prosthetics and a huge bodysuit that somehow doesn’t hamper his fighting skills.

Then the there’s the gun battle between Wick and hordes of deadly minions in a warren of rooms in an apartment building, filmed from high overhead with a floating camera that follows the continuous action as if it were observing a particularly violent ant colony. And another fight sequence that takes place on a massively steep staircase leading up to Sacré Coeur that is so ridiculously over-the-top — including Wick’s repeatedly falling down the length of them only to get back up and start all over again, like a black-suit-wearing Wile E. Coyote — that it elicited rapturous giggles from the audience at the press screening.

Director Chad Stahelski, who helmed all the previous films, and his formidable stunt team have outshone their previous work, and that’s saying something. These sequences play like the great dance numbers in old MGM musicals, complete with incredibly complicated, lengthy continuous shots that feature the full bodies of the performers rather than kinetically edited snippets of a gun here or a limb there. They’re so virtuosic you practically want to stand up and applaud when each one is over.

Unlike so many films set in exotic locales that deliver a few establishing shots of local landmarks before filming in nondescript spots somewhere in Canada, John Wick: Chapter Four uses its many locations in Paris and Berlin to fantastic effect. A particular hoot are the scenes involving the dandyishly dressed Marquis, who only seems to conduct his business in such venues as the Paris Opera House and the Louvre, both of which he seems to have at his personal disposal.

Reeves, at one point outfitted with a Kevlar suit and shirt that enables him to get shot seemingly thousands of times without getting hurt (he uses the lapel like Dracula’s cape), commits so thoroughly to the role’s insane physical demands that he should get an award, if not for acting, then merely surviving. But he plays Wick so perfectly that he manages to rouse the audience merely with a passionately expressed “Yeah!”

Reeves generously shares the spotlight with his co-stars, including Yen, who delivers such a physically witty and charismatic performance that you can’t wait for the inevitable spin-off, and Japanese star Horoyuki Sanada as Shimazu, the manager of the Osaka hotel who battles valiantly alongside Wick. Shimazu’s daughter, Akira (singer Rina Sawayama, making a strong screen debut), will undoubtedly be seen in future editions. And it wouldn’t be a John Wick film without the return of the Bowery King, played so authoritatively by Laurence Fishburne.

Running nearly three hours, John Wick: Chapter 4 can certainly be accused of being too long. But I doubt many fans will be complaining.

This is my first time experience and it was exhilaratiing Just like the first time desi action film in Hindi Cinema..It is evident that Actor/Director Ajay Devgn will reach the "Pinnacle of Success" much Bholaa will be an important film in Ajay Devgn's career. This time is auspicious for film & audience.

Plot:

The plot was narrated on a straight forward manner. There has flashbacks scene in the whole duration of the film. However, the plot was well developed as the first 20minutes were allotted to establish a simple yet consistent plot.Casts plays a vital role for an action flick and Bholaa had the perfect cast to elevate the film to the next level. Infact, supporting characters with less than 5 mins screen space also carefully crafted and executed well to near perfection. Ajay Devgn's beefed up look will remind us.Tabu is extraordinary role as a cop. Both actors are create confusions in action sequences play the game with audience mind.

Performance:

What I didn't like on any film is the unnecessary and out of context songs. This movie exclude song but utilized intense dark tone BGM. The score perfectly synced with the action sequences and the transition of the plot. All the mass moment scenes are elevated through rock genre BGM..Stunt choreography also deserve a special mention as all the fight sequences are 'Larger than life' kind and Bholaa makes it believable. Tabu proved her ability on screen and plays a very convincing cop role and she share the screen space with Ajay Devgn throughout the film. . Surprisingly, Actor Sanjay Mishra steals the show as HC and there is some mass element factor built around his character which will surprise you in the second half. All the bad ass antagonists well played the character but Deepak Dobiriyal with his base voice leads the show as top villan. Makarand Deshpande has did the brilliant jobGajrqj Rao plays a critical role in this film.

Direction:

Really like movie shot on bleak light and bholaa's setting happened from dusk till dawn. The frames are darkly lit without a single blue light but are gorgeous and vivid. Camera works are amazing by utilizing intelligent slow motion, wide angle and close up shots, and shaky camera. Wrapped up with a lighting and brilliant editing made this movie an edge-of-the-seat thriller from the first frame to climax scene.

Script Analysis

Characters are well developed and the plot is consistent and solid. Though the story is not original but the details make the story engaging and gripping all throughout. The lingering father and child relationship created a dynamic impact among the audience. The late presentation of the protagonist was also a brilliant strategy as it adds intensity to the already exciting plot. How the characters were placed in that one-night survival feat coincidentally was really a good idea.

Action Analysis:

Stunt/action choreography was at times over the top but being a fan of action genre, I enjoyed it very much. The action sequences are mind-blowing and top-notch. The acting performance was commendable. I can't imagine how the movie would turn out if other actor would play bholaa role. It seems like orignal had been on the writers' mind even during the conceptualization of the script. The supporting roles are also good which had complemented each character well.

Technial :

Technically this film is very strong in terms of Bgm and sound editing. My favorite parts - how he eat his dinner without the care in the world that attitude. His dramatic entrance after the 23rd minute mark and the camera focused on his feet up to his face in a slowmotion was chilling (this scene was repeated before thje first hand to hand combatt since I didn't know the actor it was a different experience for the As an action genre fanatic I should say that this film is unimaginably riveting from start to finish... If this movie has a shortcoming I think it's the lack focused on the villain. I just wished he was given more screen time. This movie left a long lasting impression for a hindi movie experience. Overall, Bholaa is one of the masala action thriller film in hindi cinems. Ajay devgn classy direction of Vintage & The hangover of the film will descend on the hearts of the audience.. This film will auspicious for producers & audience who loved dark film & the desi action cinema.

Movie Ratings : ⭐⭐⭐⭐tars Directed by #LuvRanjan, romantic-comedy ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ stars Luv Ranjan, Shraddha Kapoor. It will hit cinemas today on Holi across the country. Ranjan and Rahul Mody have written it and produced by Luv Films and T-Series. Plot Ranbir plays Mickey, Anubhav Bassi’s character as Ranbir’s best friend. The duo work as consultants besides their jobs to help people in their relationships in return for hefty amounts. Mickey falls in love with Shraddha’s character when the trio goes for Anubhav’s character’s bachelor’s party abroad. Things take interesting turn when Shraddha’s character reveals she doesn’t want to stay with Micky’s family after the wedding, leading to their unsuccessful wedding at first. It also stars Boney Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Hasleen Kaur, Monica Chaudhary. Performances Ranbir is cool with his splendid dialogues, while Shraddha delivers class act. Anubhav Bassi’s debut is mind-boggling & Dimple Kapadia is a delight to watch. One of the best dialogues well-spoken by Ranbir is “Aaj kal relationship mein ghusna asaan hai, usmein se nikalna mushkil. Rishta Jodna asaan hai, todna mushkil.” But the highlight of the film is Boney Kapoor and climax! Analysis The placement of songs is appropriate as per scenes and all are chartbuster songs. Luv Ranjan tried to make an attempt this time to create wholesome family drama in addition to his rom com genre. The rib-tickling movie has amazing cinematography with inspiring plot, incredible visuals. The cameos of Kartik and Nushrratt are funny as Luv couldn’t stop himself bringing his previous successful movies’ stars and has not left the chance to keep this as well between best friends, showcasing friendship too, which works better. Verdict It seems it won’t have any sequel as the makers have shown the long journey short in post credits. This time too it looks like the unique name to the movie by Luv Ranjan will work. #SalmanKhan To Take Director’s Credit For ‘#KisiKaBhaiKisiKiJaan’ As He ‘Re-Edits The Film’ Helmed by Farhad Samji, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu and Pooja Hegde. Its screenplay is done by Sajid Nadiadwala with him as a producer only. The process of filming is Hyderabad, whereas its principal photography started in May last year. The latest bollywood news is that Salman’s friend claimed that the actor is “re-editing the film” and every shot in the film has been approved by Salman as he now works to take down the duration of the film. “Not one shot in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has gone without Salman’s approval. He is now re-diting the film to make the narration tighter and to bring down the film’s playing time,” Times Of India quoted Salman’s friend as saying. “It won’t be wrong to say that Salman has virtually directed the entire film. Those close to him have advised him to take credit as co-director. To be honest, that is the least Salman can do considering his contribution,” the friend added. It was earlier reported to be named Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and then Bhaijaan. The film’s official title was decided as Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan later in August, 2022.
