so comes the end of a jerk

Well, I think it’s just about time to call it a night with this guy. Retiring the grump for good. Which seems kind of weirdly timed, since I just posted that follow forever.

He was kind of a novelty when the blog was born in mid-2012 and the SHIELD corner of tumblr was still powerful, before CA:TWS happened and kind of busted us to hell. He was a nice little lightning rod for everyone to dislike, and I had fun with it! But as of now, he’s become just a negative personality who nobody (understandably) wants to interact with often, and to top it all off, is a very unshippable character in a very ship-hungry community. It’s because of these things (I assume) that getting people to interact at all with Churchill has always been difficult.

Another was probably all the times I disappeared, but that’s on me.

When I first made him, my plans were for him to be borderline abusive and harassing, but.. still respectable. So that when I finally got tired of him, I’d get him injured and let his heart give out in medical. And yeah, everyone disliked him, but still felt respect enough to mourn the loss of a useful person. That didn’t really happen, and instead he was given a really nice concept for a villain origin story, which I was excited about! But now that I’m here.. I don’t really see much point. I don’t want to be here in another year, still struggling to get five people to interact with a negative muse.

That said, I really do appreciate anyone that gave him the time of day. <3 He’s one of my favorite OCs and I’ll still definitely be writing him and drawing him, just.. for myself, and not in this capacity. Instead of trying to make him seem like the threatening bad guy I want him to be, I can actually depict him as one in a more effective way.

I will not be responding to any more threads here barring a very special miracle, but I will be leaving his blog up so I can reread his adventures when I feel like it.
