I had a vision of this sort of plot last night so I ended up making it really quick on my phone during work meetings. 😂😂

Anyways these are just my observations off the top of my head. If you assume Teruhashi is the epitome of womanhood, then you can pretty reasonably gauge the level of attraction other characters feel for women in general based on how they react to her.

I didn't put Saiki on here because he's harder to define lol. But Saiko, for example, was able to reject Teruhashi's direct request on the island even though she was exerting her full effect, so he's probably less attracted to women than Akechi, who is unable to think or talk when Teruhashi looks at him directly.

It's too bad there's not an easy male version of the same. While Makoto exists, we really only see Kaido and Imu react to him, and it seems like Makoto's glow is mostly due to his celebrity rather than being "a perfect pretty boy" lol. Also, this doesn't take into account the effects of possible comphet, so take this with a grain of salt!

CHAPTER 0.5 THOUGHTS

" I've got no choice" literally has the choice of walking back to school to get it. The school is probably still open for clubs and all that. Just admit you don't wanna walk back to get the book Saiki.

Guy who clearly does not know the pain of having to run back home because you forgot your lunch and then having to run to school but still being late so all 2000 students at morning assembly sees your short ass running to drop your bag off while they're doing morning prayers.

Ok that explains my ike-san question from earlier but Nednou spent 200 dollars? Between bowling and the food how much money did he have to spend on a rehearsal date? Idk just carrying 200 dollars on you as a student feels odd to me but it might just be cultural differences.

Oddly specific how do you just happen to know that Saiki? The fact that he knows how much money he'd need to apport a Netherland dwarf rabbit is amazing but so is the fact that he knows the price of everyone based on their clothes. This could just be another power but I'd like to think that he's into fashion. Fashionista!saiki.

Honestly a mini series of just Micheal/ike-san and chouno would be really entertaining. Every chapter could be one magic trick and they fail miserably but they're optimistic and never give up! And then they kiss. And they develop a really close bond as master and assistant and become close friends!

Torisai ultimate toxic yaoi but like in areally confusing way. like Tori resents Saiki for not using his power, Saiki resents Tori for using his. And also Tori just showed up on his doorstep and Saiki hated him but also pitied him and Tori in turn admired him but also resented him and as the story goes on they become closer and more like friends but those negative feelings also grow underneath and finally it’s all come to a climax in the catgun arc as both sides feelings spill over and get resolved and OFUFHHVHFBV V V. ITs so good. They should get married.

Onto 0-5!

I like that the format has gone back to pretty straight forward. “I’m Saiki Kusuo, and I’m an esper.” The word for esper that Saiki uses in the main manga is chyounoryokushya (超能力者) as opposed to reinouryokusha (霊能力者) used in Mob Psycho to describe Mob, which I find interesting. (Mob is called a ‘spirit medium’ by Reigen because he can exorcise ghosts, even though that’s far from where his abilities end.)

I have always liked the catch of teleportation requiring “apportation” of something in its place, and the items needing to be “worth” the same amount.

Ah! So he did explain that her phone is worth the same amount as the bowling ball. And also, I like that Ike san’s “worth” issue is explained right away. No silly, Ike san isn’t worth 500 yen… that’s just all he had on him at the time.

Not to go back to Mob Psycho again, but I am pretty sure that Chuono uses the same word for “master” to refer to Saiki as Mob uses to refer to Reigen; 師匠/‘shishou.’ I think. At least in the anime.

Also holy shit I am Chuono’s age now?! 😬

That means I have been a fan of this manga for… four years?!? oh my god.

I need to figure out the exact month I started watching so I can celebrate my saiki-versary. I believe it was some time early in 2020… or it could have been late 2019.

Here we go! Another scene left out of the anime. We have the inclusion of Janet, Chuono’s new assistant who is actually a spy sent by another magician.
