Today’s mix:

Shamanic Trance by Tsuyoshi Suzuki 1996 Goa Trance / Techno / Acid Techno

Said it before and I’ll say it again here: really not too much of a fan of Goa, but when you’ve got techno names like Fred Giannelli and Der Dritte Raum on your Goa mix, you’ve definitely got my interest piqued.

But ignore the packaging and the silly, cringeworthy, new agey liner notes that try to claim that this is some kind of continuation of what ancestral tribes were doing. That’s really all just marketing nonsense. 

What this really is, is just a decent mix of mostly Goa from the mid-90s. Not really anything all that special, in my opinion. A few very good tracks mixed with your standard, run-of-the-mill Goa from that time period. Nothing more, nothing less. Goa junkies may vehemently disagree with this take, though 😅.

No list of highlights because the mix is a single, continuous track.
