we often see the main cry on their own, sitting in their room and just letting it all out. but seeing the main break down in front of one of their friends just hits a million times harder, because it just shows how much they’re hurting, that they can’t hide it or keep it in, that they just need to let it out. and for them to have someone there to hug them, comfort them and tell them that it’s gonna be okay hits just as hard
