June and Jayne are so flawed it's disgusting to be inside their heads. I know that I hated them only because I can see my worst self reflected back at me. I don't want to read anymore but I just needed to hurt myself. It effin hurts I can't even cry.
I'm on a brink of a breakdown so..
Note to self:
Being messed up is not a badge of honor. The world is already crazy as it is, you don't need to add to the misery and begged to be pitied more. Stop this selfishness. You are not broken. You are loved. Your relationships with your family, friends and loved one may not be perfect but they are real. Everything real is flawed. Be it people or relationships. Be grounded now and think of all the dreams you are yet to accomplish. Infinite posibilities of experiences that are yet to be done. Breath in. Breath out. Live in the present and know how lucky and loved you are right now at this moment.

‘A Thing I Have Learned (Written By A Nobody Who Has Been Everybody)'.
It is easy to mourn the lives we aren’t living. Easy to wish we’d developed other talents, said yes to different offers. Easy to wish we’d worked harder, loved better, handled our finances more astutely, been more popular, stayed in the band, gone to Australia, said yes to the coffee or done more bloody yoga.
It takes no effort to miss the friends we didn’t make and the work we didn’t do and the people we didn’t marry and the children we didn’t have. It is not difficult to see yourself through the lens of other people, and to wish you were all the different kaleidoscopic versions of you they wanted you to be. It is easy to regret, and keep regretting, ad infinitum, until our time runs out.
But it is not the lives we regret not living that are the real problem. It is the regret itself. It’s the regret that makes us shrivel and wither and feel like our own and other people’s worst enemy.
We can’t tell if any of those other versions would have been better or worse. Those lives are happening, it is true, but you are happening as well, and that is the happening we have to focus on.
Of course, we can’t visit every place or meet every person or do every job, yet most of what we’d feel in any life is still available. We don’t have to play every game to know what winning feels like. We don’t have to hear every piece of music in the world to understand music. We don’t have to have tried every variety of grape from every vineyard to know the pleasure of wine. Love and laughter and fear and pain are universal currencies.
We just have to close our eyes and savour the taste of the drink in front of us and listen to the song as it plays. We are as completely and utterly alive as we are in any other life and have access to the same emotional spectrum.
We only need to be one person.
We only need to feel one existence.
We don’t have to do everything in order to be everything, because we are already infinite. While we are alive we always contain a future of multifarious possibility.
So let’s be kind to the people in our own existence. Let’s occasionally look up from the spot in which we are because, wherever we happen to be standing, the sky above goes on for ever.
Yesterday I knew I had no future, and that it was impossible for me to accept my life as it is now. And yet today, that same messy life seems full of hope. Potential.
The impossible, I suppose, happens via living.
Will my life be miraculously free from pain, despair, grief, heartbreak, hardship, loneliness, depression? No.
But do I want to live?
Yes. Yes.
A thousand times, yes.

"This society hasn't changed one bit. People who don't fit into the village are expelled: men who don't hunt, women who don't give birth to children. For all we talk about modern society and individualism, anyone who doesn't try to fit in can expect to be meddled with, coerced, and ultimately banished from the village."
Dark humor at its finest. This book is superb! I don't know if I'm laughing or crying. Most probably both tho. Huhuhaha.

Kafka on the Shore
That was wild. I am so stunned. Haruki really is sooooooo good! I have only read Norwegian Wood, Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki, Sputnik Sweetheart, South of the Border, West of the Sun, Men Without Women and IQ84 tho so I can't really say that I am an avid reader of Murakami works but I really like his writings very much. Every book leaves me speechless and impressed! I have never read anything as interesting! Norwegian Wood has a special place in my heart and I really can't forget Tsukuru Tazaki no matter how colorless he thought of himself but Kafka! Kafka's story I really love! Like...wow..just wow!

Kafka on the shore by Haruki Murakami
No book has ever stunned me this much after reading Pride and Prejudice 8 years ago and Anne of Green Gables a year ago. A good book that will leave so much impression on a person is rare indeed.
So when asked about my favorite book, I will have to hesitate and say "books" because deym, Kafka is mind-blowing, Pride and Prejudice is an eye-opener as Anne of Green Gables is a gem!
Wow.

The Myth of Aristophanes
In Plato’s Symposium, Aristophanes delivers his speech in the form of a myth.
Once upon a time, there were three kinds of human beings: male, descended from the sun; female, descended from the earth; and androgynous, with both male and female elements, descended from the moon. Each human being was completely round, with four arms and fours legs, two identical faces on opposite sides of a head with four ears, and all else to match. They walked both forwards and backwards and ran by turning cartwheels on their eight limbs, moving in circles like their parents the planets.
As they were powerful and unruly and threatening to scale the heavens, Zeus devised to cut them into two ‘like a sorb-apple which is halved for pickling,’ and even threatened to cut them into two again, so that they might hop on one leg. Apollo then turned their heads to make them face towards their wound, pulled their skin around to cover up the wound, and tied it together at the navel like a purse. He made sure to leave a few wrinkles on what became known as the abdomen so that they might be reminded of their punishment.
After that, human beings longed for their other half so much that they searched for it all over. When they found it, they wrapped themselves around it very tightly and did not let go. As a result, they started dying from hunger and self-neglect. Zeus took pity on the poor creatures, and moved their genitals to the front so that those who were previously androgynous could procreate, and those who were previously male could obtain satisfaction and move on to higher things.
This is the origin of our desire for other human beings. Those of us who desire members of the opposite sex were previously androgynous, whereas men who desire men and women who desire women were previously male or female. When we find our other half, we are ‘lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy’ that cannot be accounted for by a simple appetite for sex, but rather by a desire to be whole again, and restored to our original nature. Our greatest wish, if we could have it, would then be for Hephaestus to meld us into one another so that our souls could be at one, and share once more in a common fate.

"You are here to decide if your life, relationships and world are true and beautiful enough for you. And if they are not and you dare to admit they are not, you must decide if you have the guts, the right - perhaps even the duty - to burn to the ground that which is not true and beautiful enough and get started building what is."
-Glennon Doyle, Untamed
