1: did MC really just get handed the role in this movie, or did they/could they have auditioned for it?

it's officially been a month since i posted the intro, so i thought i'd make one of these!

the demo is currently at 30k and it's still only the first 2/3 days ooops🙈 also, i've ditched editing while writing bc it was slowing me down, so we'll see how many words there are after i'm completely done

chap 1 spans a week & it's all about the recent news, interview(s), filming, and all & it's looking to be pretty hefty, but i think we can agree, more is more🤣

since most kids in MC's school fell under the same 'wealthy family' bracket, there wasn't really anyone MC was forbidden from hanging out with.

This is possibly more headcanon territory and not that relevant to the current story, but any past drama or messy exes that might pop up? Maybe I've just watched too much stuff like The OC/Laguna Beach/Gossip Girl, but wealthy private school kids always seem to have some drama going on lol.

In general were MC’s parents more strict or laissez-faire whilst growing up? Like in terms of curfews, what they could wear, where they could go/with who, what age they were allowed to start dating/drink alcohol/go to parties, etc.

i'd say probably somewhere in the middle, leaning more towards chill.

public image is obvs a huge thing in their line of work, so they made sure to keep MC's and their sister's private life private.

they knew that if MC started drinking, a no-alcohol rule would probably do more harm than good, so instead their only demand was to keep that info out of media sights. so all socials had to be set to private (even if they did not drink). parties were allowed but only in the guest house & if they went to one, MC had to be home at a reasonable time

MC's private school had uniforms, so they didn't enforce any rules on their choice of clothes. and when it came to big events, galas and such, they had stylists for that. outside of all that, MC could pretty much wear & buy whatever they wanted.

since most kids in MC's school fell under the same 'wealthy family' bracket, there wasn't really anyone MC was forbidden from hanging out with.

I was wondering if you could spare some facts about our dear parents👀

the parents have actually been very open about their lives to MC and their sister , so here's their story!

mom:

she grew up performing in small shows, school plays etc

she's from the countryside (you can choose which country or state!), so her parents would spend a lot of time driving her to different auditions all across the country

once she hit mid teens, gigs started to dry up, & with no money, her parents weren't able to fund the travels and such, so her dreams unfortunately came to a halt

didn't go to college after hs, and instead started waitressing while attending castings on the side

dad:

just like MC's mother, he got into acting at a young age

landed a commercially successful main role in a teen flick at 16 and subsequently dropped out of school (regrets it). unfortunately that seemed to be his only successful role for the next 5 years that followed

during those 5 yrs, he worked at his dad's garage & well it was pretty miserable for him

for his 21st, he didn't really celebrate, he simply got into his car, and drove w/o a destination in mind, until dawn. he then pulled up into the small restaurant Mom was working at

aaaannd that's where those two met. they immediately hit it off & Dad started eating out so much, he essentially became a regular. but when he was only 22 & Mom 23 she got pregnant with MC's sister.

it was tough, they were very terrified and also kind of excited, but the timing couldn't be any worse: Mom had just convinced Dad to take another chance on acting and she was also landing a lot more roles.

after a lot of talking, they decided to put their plans on hold for 2 yrs. but then those turned into 3, 4, 5... and 9 yrs later, they were a little family of 4 w MC being 1, & their sister 9

that's when things finally started changing. one night, after tucking the kids in, Mom & Dad kinda just had this epiphany: it's now or never! so the next two months, they got everything ready, emptied all their savings etc and boarded a plane to LA

things were very difficult at first, especially if they're from a different country, but with the already pre-existing connections that they had, they were able to get their foot into places it would've been a lot harder to do w/o. Mom actually decided to stay at home with the kids, while Dad went off driving to every single casting he could get his hands on.

about a year later, just when their savings were about to run out, Dad, at age 32, landed a main role in a small-budget sci-fi that would eventually go on to be one of the highest-grossing films of the year (nobody expected this). he got nominated for a Lumina award (didn't win), and things only went up from here. Mom made her film debut once MC entered kindergarten, and they've been dominating cinema screens ever since!

Two years ago, Helios and Hunter embarked on a journey to Vesphire, while you were confined to your palace. In a matter of hours, they will be back. However, they won't be the only ones returning; the Imperial Army, dispatched two years prior to assist Norazaan in their war, will also be arriving with the royals of that land to express their gratitude.

A hunt has been organized to greet the guests from Norazaan upon their arrival. Whether you choose to participate or not, life will continue as usual. I trust you're ready for whatever may accompany the event.

A few additional changes have been made:

You will have to restart from the beginning due to rewritten content and stats.

Last time I added dark mode due to heavy demand, now it is the only mode available. Light mode is gone for now! Sorry. 🫣
