I've been thinking for a few days about how Jiang Cheng and Jin Guangyao both recognize the limits of their own power. And like. A lot of people don't like that. They expect Heroes(tm) to push past their limits and do the impossible, like Wei Wuxian. But they can't do that.

i saw a post somewhere recently saying that the reason wwx did not return to lotus pier after reincarnation was because of the emotional trauma that jiang cheng put him through and that he shouldn't have to anyways.

Although we all know (as unbiased readers with common sense) that wwx was himself guilty of what he did, and couldn't show his face in shame.

I'd like to imagine (im tired of angst) jc as a pissed off wife who's whipping every man who looks like his husband bcs apparently his liar of a husband died for real and that too leaving a fucking kid (orphaned) and in jc's hand. and wwx doesn't go back bcs he just called the kid orphaned he left jc with.
