My most weirdly ambitious beastnoch fanart idea is to draw a set of pictures with the Beast and Enoch having a shockingly mundane trip through the unknown. Yes they are eldritch and inhuman but they still have to travel on their own two / fours legs. I don't even know where they would need to end up by the end, I just wanna see them make their way through the forest and all of its bizzare sparks of life. Have the Beast struggle to take the steamboat in the broad daylight, have Enoch's cart from the opening break down and make the Beast the one who has to fix it because oh well, Enoch has paws, not fingers, there is nothing he can do with this.

#Does this makes any sense? no. Im just insane about roadtrips and Enoch driving his silly cart in the opening #one day I will also make some follow up drawing for my 2022 Best!Greg au...one day...

Sometimes I think what if the reason the Beast's lantern ended up in Pottsfield in the final episode is because, as Enoch said - all dead joins his town someday. But the Beast was never human, he doesn't have a skeleton, however he always had his lantern, his soul was tied to it. So now he is the Pottsfield citizen that's unlike any other...

#otgw #over the garden wall #the beast #honestly I don't even think he is scary anymore #I can rant about how funny and absurd his plot is for hours #Like...remember how the fandom decided that he keeps finding and masterminding different lantern keepers? #the thing is - IT WAS NEVER THE CASE #the woodsman just swung his axe on the guy in the comics and this silly creature went ! and dropped the only thing keeping him alive #And then the Beast had to come up with this fairy tale about the Woodsman's daughter being in the thing so the crazy dude won't shattert it #BUT OH WAIT the woodsman decided that he is going to keep the lantern to himself if that's the case - good job brainiac #and the beast even tried to steal the lantern from him a few times in the series but he had to be sneaky about it #because well shit the guy still has this axe with him #AND THEN WHEN WIRT GOT THE LANTERN IN HIS HANDS WHAT DID THE BEAST DO? #he decided to trick him with the same freaking story that got him into this mess in the first place #He is a girlfailure
