Some backstory on these drawings:

These are two Winter doodles I made, almost exactly 2 years apart. My favourite part is that the resemblance between the two is a total coincidence (his huffy puffy pose is just the instinctive default whenever i go to doodle him, i suppose). The first one I drew at the beginning of 2021, and on the second is the one I drew at the end of 2022.

I imagine that my "human" characters can kinda just... conveniently sprout wings out of thin air and tuck them away when not needed. I drew an animation to demonstrate!

(I'm kidding--the honest answer is that, at some point, I got too lazy to draw out those gigantic wings in every comic. They get in the way! But this seemed like a cool alternative answer haha)

Awe hey, thanks so much for reaching out! This is the first time I have logged into my account in a while, and I notice there are a lot of similar messages in my inbox, so I'm going to address them all in this post:

First, yes, the blog is still active, although I'm posting less frequently than before--getting busy with life and all that. Honestly, I don't ever plan on officially saying "This blog is over, I'm done here for GOOD." It's been with me for so long, and I kind of love it like a baby. Whenever I have the leisurely time to log back into my account, I enjoy posting when I have something doodled out, or just reading through all your fun messages!

Second, I appreciate everybody's concern, but I'm totally fine! My mental health has been in great shape, I have friends and family who support me emotionally, and I'm doing well in life overall. All this to say, thank you all for checking in with me, but please don't worry! I promise that I'm only busy, and, even if I was struggling, I have plenty of support available to me. Sorry if I've caused distress for anybody--thank you all for caring so much about me!

Why did you choose the designs you did?

Mostly I based them off of various characters from tv shows and cartoons, like my little pony and anime.

Back when I was designing Winter, my best friend in school had a HUGE crush on him. She also loved tsundere handsome anime boys. so i just tried my best to draw the optimum tsundere handsome anime boy—then i made that winter's design

Moon was based off of fluttershy. like her big droopy shiny eyes mostly, and the way her hair originally draped over one eye. I gave her a braid bc I imagined she would braid her hair absentmindedly out of habit when she's nervous.

I honestly don't remember how I came up with qibli's design. it just kind of... manifested itself on the page. Although i do remember copying his initial two-toned hair colour from jean from aot

peril is 95% plagiarized off of this one character from blue exorcist... the alcoholic lady with the boobs. don't remember her name

darkstalker was like a mix of aizawa and alexander hamilton (from szin's animatics). fun fact: everyone says he looks like bruno from encanto. but encanto came out after i posted my design of him, so they really based their design off mine, if anything

the others didn't come as easily to me. It was a process of trial and error, where I'd draw a bunch of designs for the character, and choose the one i hate the least

I've noticed that moon and kinkajou change clothes but still the dark green/ pink yellow theme, but the others almost always wear the same thing. is that on purpose or not? ~Just Curious

I don't particularly do that on purpose... it's just because I can never settle on an outfit design for Moon or Kinkajou LOL

Hi guys! As always, thanks for checking in, and for the encouraging messages :)

First of all, I'm very much alive and healthy, and have not yet met some gruesome end. Y'all really don't have to worry about me so much 😅

Second, yes, this blog is still active. It's just that, whenever school starts, I usually set aside this blog for a few months to focus on studying. I tend to get some time to draw and post when I have a couple weeks off school during holidays. (new comic dropping in a moment!)
