Pair of the Month - Elenor & Remus - January 2015

Remus and Romulus Ritter (played by Riri) have never made life easy for Elenor Sunslayer (played by Destiny) between attemtping to kill her good friend, framing her fiance for attempted murder and almost getting her killed a handful of times but that doesn't stop these assassins from trying to wheedle information out of Elenor. From the moment Elenor saved Remus's life, he's been interested in seeing her again. He got his chance when she agreed to be interviewed and despite obtaining an encryptid message, Remus walked away with a lot more. We ship them, people, we call them #RELENOR and we are proud of that (I write fanfiction for them). She sees how Remus has that humanity she has almost lost and he makes her feel alive. Remus will be stuck between a rock and a hard place if he picks her. Can what fragile love they found survive in their world of blood and death?

Thread of the Month - some to turn to DUST or to GOLD - January 2015

This year is starting strong with a thread between the alpha of the Cloudhoppers and his "favorite" spy. Charles Gryphon and Elenor Sunslayer, written by Jade and Destiny, respectively, demonstrate their interesting dynamic in this thread. Each of the characters has needs and wants and being able to see through the eyes of these complicated minds never disappoints. Charles wants to keep the Network in check by creating a public hostage with his extractor tailing the betrothed of the Network's head. Elenor wants to have her previous arranged marriage officially disbanded and be paired with a certain shifter (who coincidentally Charles wants to aquire). So...whose actually in control here? You decide and stay tuned.

Character of the Month - Giselle Blackbourne - January 2015

For two months now, Dot has treated us with two magnificent characters and this month is just a gem. Have you ever met Giselle Blackbourne? No. Get acquainted because we are talking about the betrothed of the intimidating Cloudhopper alpha: Charles Gryphon and she is certainly his softer side with that unassuming smile. She is the older sister of Guinevere and she never fails to always be there for her. Could you ask for more from a sister? Better question, how does she feel about Nicholas trying to court her sister? Giselle must have a mean streak somewhere and I can't wait to see her really step into her duties as the future alphess of the Cloudhoppers. In this four character thread featuring one of our newest members, we will watch hilarity unfold as Jayce, a simple morphling soldier just off probation is caught off guard in the royal gardens by none other than one of the resident nobles, Baroness Jocelyn de Montgomerie. They are interrupted by the arrival of Jocelyn's alchemist mentor, Nakia, and again by an admiral Alexander Jax. Jayce can't sleep. Jocelyn wants to cause mayhem. Nakia wants to get away. and Jax...well, no one can really tells what's going on in that mind. Stay-tuned for what promises to be a most amusing turn of events.

Character of the Month - Scelestus Umbra - Played by dotPOISION - December 2014

Dotposion has been with us for a very long time and she doesn't even let the fact that her apartment doesn't have good Internet stop her from posting. One of our favorite characters that she has created is Scelestus, the savvy Shade, who rivals Vaas in collecting beautiful shifters. Come and get him while he is hot...pun halfway intended. Dot is an incredible writer, all of her characters relly jump off the page, er, screen, at you but with Scelestus, it's always a pleasure and a surprise.

Member of the Month - RileyAnn - December 2014

Ever since RileyAnn came to Avarice, the effort that she has put forth in even the most basic of tasks has been incredible and noteworthy to have won member of the month several times. This month, even though it is the holidays and it's tough on everyone activity wise, she was an asset to the staff members of Avarice. You see, RileyAnn is a person who can always be counted on and can always take the initiative if she sees someone in need of help. This month she was extremely helpful to new members by giving incite into how to improve their biographies before the staff got around to reviewing them. She has also worked with me personally to help create several how to guides that will be sure to help all new members find their way around Avarice. RileyAnn is nothing short of a miracle <3

Pair of the Month - Nicholas & Guinevere - Played by Destiny & Celestial - September 2014

We would like to say this was love at first sight but it certainly wasn't. When Celest put up her plot searching thread, I volunteered Nicholas as a stalker for Guinevere. In our first thread together, something just clicked. Nicholas came off as yes, stalker-ish / overly-infaatuated, and it took Giselle to knock some sense into her little sister, Guinevere, but she finally got the message. Now, he actually can give her hugs and when he sees Giselle he shouts: "I touched your sister!" like the pretentios twit he is. But it's not over. He's got some sexy booty to kick (Vaas) and a sister to win over (Giselle) before he can finally win her heart with a clean conscious.

She spends most of her days running this way and that, collecting shifters and information at the command of her leader and sometimes she does a little free-lance work. This is one shifter you do not want to get on the bad side of...not that it's stopping Remus Ritter from trying to work his way into her heart.

Member of the Month - Destiny - September 2014

Shall I compare Des to a summer's day? No, because she is too cool to qualify as the season! Stupid and unfunny jokes aside, Des is pretty flipping awesome. I've known her for so long that I can't remember a time when she wasn't influencing my writing, giving me advice, or just generally being a great friend. She's so creative and wondrous in her writing style and she actually becomes her characters in her posts, which is a great feat considering she has so many of them! I'm not sure if it's because I have in-depth plots with pretty much all of her characters or what, but it's impossible not to love at least five of them at a time. She's truly a gift, that Des. As long as she's around, we'll be entertained and in good hands.
