...so i've been thinking,

Blue Lock x Soul Eater au.

Now. I'm not too sure how many still remember Soul Eater but I do. So of course I'm going to merge my current favourite piece of media with one of my all time favourites.

This is going to be quite long for me...and filled with headcanons.

(Very slight Spoilers?)

Fusion summary:

Isagi was definitely not a stand out student on the first day. No skills. No name. Nada. There were 300 students trying for the EAT class and Isagi was not going to make it by himself. Most others already fit the Meister and Weapon criteria, so he's already behind by a landslide. He wasn't going to be left behind just because he doesn't have a weapon. So he charges into the Entry quest — The first 50 students to complete said quest will be eligible for the EAT class — without a weapon.

STARTING IN DEPTH WITH ISAGI!

Isagi Yoichi (Meister)

He is incredibly talented at matching soul wavelengths.

Only after entering DWMA was he able to train himself to see Souls. An ability he uses to his advantage to read his opponents during fights and look for any weaknesses.

He's quite the picky Meister at first, only being able to wield other weapons after Bachira was forcibly separated him after a mission failure.

He cannot do a Soul Resonance with any other weapon but his own partner, Bachira.

They achieved Soul Resonance in no time. Being able to hold the Witch hunter form with ease.

He's aiming to become one of the best Meisters in the world. A Meister capable of holding their own, even without a weapon.

Bachira Meguru (Weapon)

Super flexible and powerful weapon! But very picky with his Meisters.

He studied how the powerful Meisters fought and moved and decided he would rather not rely on a Meister who didn't have that potential.

His previous Meisters always said he was too heavy, light, uncomfortable etc. So he eventually gained a reputation of being a useless weapon. Until Isagi partners with him.

He joined DWMA to honour his mother, who was a DWMA alumni. She retired from hunting after a devastating mission which got her husband killed.

Didn't stop Bachira from studying to be a Deathscythe anyway.

At DWMA he meets Isagi who's fighting all alone. Weaponless, like a madman, and (almost) winning. He decides that he wants to help him. They're currently one of, if not, THE best weapon-meister duos there are in DWMA.

He may or may not have an actual monster inside him. (real, not clickbait)

Can and will always be able to hold a fight on his own. Making the most use of the fact that he has a weapon's soul and can be in, certain moments, incorporeal.

Mikage Reo(Weapon)

He is another highly flexible soul with a picky taste.

He has a very adaptable soul, so he's at some point able to recreate an opponent's weapon or skill with time.

Wasn't allowed to enroll in DWMA despite his apparent knack for being a weapon. So he goes and challenges the Entry quest to prove a point.

There, he meets(of course), his treasure. Nagi Seishiro.

Nagi who does not know what the hell is going on but is steadily defeating opponents like it's nothing. On his own.

Long story short, they partner up. They kick ass. They lose sight of each other's wavelengths and become incompatible. They make up and kick ass again. All in that order.

Nagi Seishiro (Meister)

Was casually just trespassing school grounds to get a pokemon when he gets attacked. Seriously.

So he does what a prodigy does and starts fighting back.

Nagi was born with the innate talent of being able to hit other people's souls with his own soul wavelength. So fighting on his own, is a walk in the park.

The problem is however, himself. Unfortunately. (Let's save Reonagi melodrama soul eater ver. for another day)

He really just needed a shelter above his head and edible food hence why he eventually agreed to enroll in DWMA with Reo. (Despite thinking fighting to become the best Meister and Deathscythe is apparently going to be a pain) (he does not think that anymore)

(if anyone has watched soul eater, i was thinking they'd fight like stein and spirit)

Uh . I did think of the others but I'm not sure how to flesh them out yet so here's what i think for now.

Kunigami, Weapon

Barou, Weapon..? (Not sure yet)

I definitely have not thought of what kinds of weapons they are and who has different forms and such so... If anyone has ideas, 👀...

Isagi smiling at Bachira

I went through the entire manga, and would you fucking believe it that it took four volumes to see Isagi smile at Bachira????

The first smile is from Chapter 28:

It's not even a smile just for Bachira. Isagi is just brimming with excitement at the challenge to surpass himself.

Now I'm pretty sure Isagi's smiled at Bachira off-screen, maybe when they're fooling around with other Team Z members. But there was never a panel showing it. Until chapter 28, Isagi just mainly had this speechless/moved look when looking at Bachira.

The anime has really spoiled us by giving us Isagi smiling at Bachira as early as episode 5:

In the manga, it was just another one of Isagi not really knowing how to react to him:

Anyways, I've gathered all the panels of Isagi smiling directly at Bachira/specifically because of Bachira. This is to make up for missing BachiSagi appreciation day, hehe. If I missed any, feel free to add them in a reblog.

Why Bachira x Isagi (Blue Lock) is One of the Best Ships of All Time

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR UP TO CHAPTER 86 OF THE MANGA

I’ll be honest and say that while Isagi and Bachira’s dynamic in the first arc was cute, it wasn’t anything that stood out to me too much. It seemed like a very typical sports anime type relationship at first. The main character shoots. His friend is there for him and passes to him so he can shine. They have good chemistry. They achieve results together that would be un-imaginably amazing compared to when they were apart. We’ve seen it so many times before already. Kageyama and Hinata, Kuroko and Kagami, Mihashi and Abe; the list goes on.

That all stops when the second selection starts.

Its been on my mind lately but how does everyone think post-bllk or at least a slight time skip bllk look like? In my mind, the current bllk boys would get an opportunity to go train overseas with their chosen club like an internship? (Can u tell idk much abt football) instead of being cooped up in blue lock(prison).

And since I'm a bachisagi stan (sue me/j) what would that look like for those 2? I doubt that they would join the same club i think. But I'm craving angst and the angst potential from separation and long distance always hits me in the feels.

Alas, I'm not very eloquent so my ability to ever write something decent for myself. I guess i want to see some discussion going on if it's possible. (I might even write about it to train myself eventually)
