This slice-of-life workplace comedy follows the lives of several Technical Support Call Center Agents based in Ortigas Business Distric in the span of six months. These call center agents belong to a single team. They handle calls and provide inbound tech support for the American customers of an internet company in the US. Speaking in a fake American accent is a prerequisite for the job. They are:ERIC (Call Center Agent, 19) is the newcomer in the team. He always knew he wanted to be in the call center industry. He’s taking a break from his studies to work in a call center.SAMP's (Call Center Agent, 18) full name is Sampaguita. She’s an “orc” (those young people who wear all-black and love to listen to heavy metal bands like Slapshock and Greyhoundz, they usually go around in big groups). She has a rebellious streak; she doesn’t relate too well with authority figures.MERYL (Quality Specialist, 27) is a guy and that’s not his real name. He earned his nickname (as in Meryl Streep) because of his uncanny ability to do different accents. He has been on his job for two years, and he’s getting tired of it. He is on the verge of a burnout.ASTRID (Call Center Agent, 25) is smart and sassy. She is also a nerd, and proud of it. She also always takes a book with her to work so she can do some reading in between calls. But what she really wants to do in life is to write serious literature.BUSTER’s (Call Center Agent, 23) real name is Sebastian. He’s been on the job for almost a year now. Like most agents, he likes to spend on clothes and shoes. He spent two years at the PMA prior to becoming a call center agent.MS. SEVA (she claims to be 36 years old) is their Team Leader. Despite her sweet appreance and perky attitude, she possesses the double-whammy of ambition and ruthlessness. She’s a former Miss Batangas beauty contest winner; she plays to win, and she takes no prisoners.This is an inside look into the maddening, sleep deprived, caffeine-fuelled lives of those who ply their trade in the call center industry.

UP Praxis supports Fahima FUDGE Tajar for USC Councilor.
There is always more where Fahima Tajar is concerned.
For one thing, other than her being a serious student, is her outside-bound orientation that always takes her beyond the academe towards greater social issues confronting different sectors of society. Another is her efficiency and resourcefulness as a member of academic and socio-civic organizations.
Fudge, as her close friends call her, feels deeply for the struggles of the aggrieved – the issues of the university and its students, the plights of women, the protection of human rights from state abuses, the exploitation of workers and the toil of farmers – she was at the forefront of these issues and remain committed in thought and action. Her steadfast and persistent stand on issues is one to be applauded, especially since these positions often entails much work, pressure, and sacrifice. But she remains strong on her dedication, especially considering that these fights are not mere abstractions to her, but something she felt and got to know deeply on her forays outside the academic institution.
Her commitment to our organization is another point that deserves recognition. Though likely swamped with difficult work from all her other commitments, she maintains a stable presence among us – always ready and willing to lend a hand, needed or otherwise. Her intellect took group debates and discussions to a higher level of theory and her outside experiences ensures that what she says is always tied to reality. At the same time her connections and resources, skills and talents never fails to take the organization to higher levels of practice. She embodies the values the organization most prize, and she maintains strong belief in our organizational principles and goals.
The intensity of her commitment, the breadth of her experiences, the depth of her knowledge, and the range of her skills and talents is a testament of the broad contributions she can give to any task she brings herself into. She never fails to live up to expectations and never let down those who rely on her.
In the upcoming elections, she receives our support – not for the reason that we wish to reciprocate what she brought to the organization, but more to the fact that everything about her could only be good for the campus. We can never be wrong about Fudge – a fact she consistently proved to be true.

UP Praxis volunteered to be marshals in the said event. Labo nga lang kasi hindi by org yung distribution ng tasks from OSA kundi alphabetical by surname. Buti na lang magkalapit lang ang surnames namin ni Buddy Mona so magkasama kami sa Ylanan Info Booth. Then nagbarricade kami sa torch parade after with the other Praxians. I saw Franklin Drilon, Ryan Cayabyab, Richard Gomez and Che-che Lazaro. :)
Ganda nung fireworks after. :)
