we should have gotten a scene of todo bending his powerful head over a desk and tutoring yuji. their calloused hands affectionately brushing over pencils, etc. in the process accidentally catching ryomen sukuna, greatest of demons, king on the blood throne, he-who-eats-his-enemies-hearts up to date on the last fun and funky 1000 years of japanese history.
btw all ur takes r like words that i’ve literally turned and told my friends in person so it’s such a delight to see that u also feel them i think we were siblings in the womb in another life
thank you! in another life we probably would have shared the amniotic fluid so fairly and kindly.
everyone is going for gege’s pale and vulnerable throat. go speedread akira as a twelve year old in the shadowed corner of a tiny library and maybe you will calm down!
Jujutsu Kaisen is about the universal experience of your cat (King of Curses Ryoumen Sukuna) rejecting the beautiful cat tree you carved yourself out of rare woods and upholstered with vintage fabrics (your beautiful baby boy who you did experiments on and gave birth to sans epidural) because he prefers playing with the box it came in (Fushiguro Megumi).
if I was trying to give Shoko a cathartic last minute battle scene, what I’d do is have her face down the last quivering vestige of Kenjaku, healer vs. the brain-meat coming to steal one of the corpses in her care. and I’d have her do it with fleshy pulsating tumor-based powers. just go full body horror for half a chapter and let Shoko pervert RCT into a combat ability. what is cancer if not growth gone unchecked? what’s a doctor if not death’s assistant?
Depending on how thorough Maki's slasher movie moment was (she seemed mostly focused on combatants), it's actually pretty likely Toji's mother/Megumi's grandma is still alive. Food for thought.
