Venom is DID culture now.

(Note: DID is a very serious disorder and I would never call my alters parasites or insinuate theyre invading my body, but nevertheless I still drew parallels.)

Learning how to co-habitate with someone sharing your body? Check.

Eddie having melt downs and feeling scared because he isnt in control of his body sometimes? Ive been there. I wanted to hug the poor man.

Venom protecting the Host aka Eddie from danger and bad men? Check.

Venom being very loud during a phone convesation? Check.

Different tastes in food? Sure thing.

Doing their fucking best to work together and using positive internal communication to do it? Now thats what we like to see!!!

Venom complimenting his host? Love it!

Eddie setting boundaries for Venom because this is how we need to function in a healthy way? Yes! Yes!

Venom understanding to step back and allowing Eddie “his time”? I cant get enough of it. Thats the cooperation we strive for.

honestly? endogenics and tulpas and all of those fake systems? they actually really don’t understand what being a system is like????

and it sure as hell isnt something to want. it’s not just feeling different.

it’s cptsd. it’s near-constant dissociation. it’s frequent headaches that painkillers don’t touch. it’s substance abuse. it’s having no sense of self. no sense of time. it’s having a black hole where your life should be. it’s dealing with the emotions of other people on top of your own. it’s insomnia. it’s sleeping too much. it’s eating disorders.

it’s hell.

i don’t know who i would be without all of this, i don’t know who i would be if we integrated. it’s not something i could know without experiencing it, and it’s not an unknown i want to see. what if i don’t like the result? what if i am a completely different person? what if i regret it? there’s just too much. i, and a lot of other people, prefer having our system than to risk integration.

systems not wanting integration does not change any of that. systems can be healthy and functional after a lot of work and a lot of trauma processing. systems who do want integration experience most of what i’ve said, i’m sure.

to get back to my point; “endogenic” systems or “tulpa” systems will not know what this is like (unless they’re actually systems who have been convinced they’re endogenic or tulpas.) they will not know what it’s like to exist the way we do. to them it’s just having other people in your head. the gross misunderstanding of a trauma disorder like DID/OSDD1 just shows how much they ignore just for some fun. we’re born from trauma. to ignore everything that’s as much a part of being a system as having alters is incredibly disgusting and inexcusable.

we finally made a system blog

and we're gonna try to be consistent with it. it may be hard for me to actively switch between my personal blog ( @graverobberesque ) and this one, but i'm definitely going to try.
