ik that one of the more prevalent ideas in the kirby fandom ( from what i've seen at least ) is that in the anime ( and games too but this post is specifically abt the anime and you'll see why in like a few words ) nightmare made meta knight / meta is a demon beast which yknow is fine it's a cool idea but i'm more fond of nightmare having made kirby partially because it's way funnier to me. imagine sucking so bad at making a baby that like one of the first things it does is revolt and leave and then 100 episodes later the baby fucking kills you and destroys your entire company.

ok i'm a little nervous abt this but here goes!! here's my submission for @kirbyoctournament!!

quilt knight, reporting for duty!!

name!! ; quilt knight! ( her real name is marin!! quilt / quilty work too :] ( her dad also tends to call her " my little knight. " ) )

pronouns!! ; she / her!!

personality!! ; brave and kind, ( to a fault, admittedly ) quilt knight tries her best to uphold what she thinks are the most important aspects of knighthood; loyalty, courage, and helping those in need! she's passionate, driven, and always willing to lend a hand! on the downside, quilty is also a bit naive, and her curiosity tends to get the better of her. she has a bit of a savior complex, and tends to put herself in harms way more than she admittedly should...

no need to worry, though! she'll be just fine! :]

backstory!! : hailing from planet earthfall, quilt knight was inspired to become a knight after hearing stories about her father, who had been a knight himself before she was born. not long after she became a teen, she began training to take up the knight mantle, and continue what her father had been doing. after becoming an adult, and improving her arching skills significantly, quilt left her home planet in order to search the galaxy for those in need! she's gone to many different planets, staying longer on some compared to others, but always moving in search of the next person in need! she's made plenty of friends, but has made the most on popstar!! she tends to visit popstar every now and again to visit her buddies who live there, before leaving for an new planet once again.

she's still very close to her father, and visits him during her downtime. he actually made the quilt that she uses as a cape!

Another Susie ask!

Out of the fellow dream friends, what do you think are some of the ones she'd get along with the most? And some of the ones she'd get along with the least?

^^ these goobers, for one. i'm unfortunately quite predictable... /lh

susie gets along well with marx too!! ( marx loves to help susie with experiments and the like!! )

she's not great friends with them but she likes the mage-sisters!! ( aside from their admittedly... rocky introductions to each other, that is. she's still got a bit of a rivalry with flamberge going on, though that's mostly a friendly thing nowadays. zan's her favorite, btw. )

adeleine, ribbon, gooey and bandee all make for nice company, though susie and them only really hang out when kirby's also involved.

as for who she doesn't get along with... hmm...

honestly i feel like the only major one is meta knight. he's forgiven her for what happened in robobot but he still doesn't like her. which susie's fine with, can't please everyone and all. they're able to be civil with one another and all but they don't really like to be around each other without others in the room. too tense for either of their liking...

everyone else she's just kind of indifferent to / neutral towards. maybe she's a little nervous that daroach will steal something from her but otherwise she's got nothing against him.

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.

I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."

what are your thoughts about what susie and kirby being friends after planet robobot would be like?

gosh ok uh... susie and kirby's friendship is! not something i've dwelled on THAT much, i'll admit.

they're pretty good buddies in my friend and i's main au though! i'd like to think that they enjoy hanging out together!

as for more in-depth thoughts, hmm... ( rambling under the read more! )

susie finds kirby to be a sweet kid! funny, too, even if unintentionally sometimes. they're also great at getting susie out of her comfort zone. she at least owes most of the friends she's been able to make to kirby, seeing as how she met most of them through him.

kirby thinks susie is really cool! she's super smart and strong, like a lot of their other friends, but she's also really tech-savvy, which is super neat to them! she tends to get / give kirby sweets when they hang out too, so that's a plus.

at the start, post-robobot and pre-star allies, kirby kinda felt like susie didn't really like her... mostly because of what happened to haltmann. susie was also just generally more... reserved back then. she was still friendly with kirby, yeah but kirby felt kinda... awkward about everything.

things got better overtime, though! being part of the star allies helped, since that got susie out of her shell a bit more :]

now, they're not super close, but they're still pretty good friends!

planet robobot's anniversary is coming up!

... susie probably wasn't able to do anything on most of her birthdays. she deserves to have surprise parties for her arranged by whatever friends she might have after robobot.
