Bed Friend, Chains of Heart and Love Syndrome III

Right now does expect to hear from me for at least three hours on a Saturday afternoon because these shows have me in a chokehold.

BedFriend EP 7

I have mentioned before that BedFriend will have us in chokehold and I haven't been wrong yet and I am very thankful that they extended from the original 8 to 10 episode. This recent episode, didn't really do much for me but the episode was necessary to set up the climax of the story/show.

This is what I will say as if we don't already know, Mom, Stepdad, and boss, all trash. Not just what they did to Uea, but the fact that everything that they are doing/ have done is alright and feel they are entitled to anything that belongs to Uea (Money, body, etc.)

Jade, the best friend we all dream about having and it will be nice to see him get the love and attention he deserves. ( I would really like to see how they will change the story, considering Middleman is before BedFriend).

Now, King...sigh King is fumbling the ball and Uea is also not making it easy for him. Since we are not seeing the POV of King, we don't know what is actually going on with those arranged dates. We know he likes, better yet loves Uea, we are just not seeing him step up to the plate and let his mother know that he wants to be with someone else.

I do believe that episode 8 will be good and hope a lot of things will right itself.

Chains of Heart Ep 7

First thing first, this show is being slept on and I am not sure why there isn't enough people either watching it or talking about.

Chemistry of the two male leads, top tier, off the charts, I really hope to see them in another series moving forward if not more. Production quality is pretty good and I have notice that they used some of the same locations as KinnPorsche; honorable mention the actor who played Kinn's father also plays Ken's father. For a 10 episode series, I am not a big fan of how it is paced, it would be nice to read the book for comparison and I'm kind of tired of waiting for everything to be reveled.

On with the episode, if you get a chance to watch, you will have a pretty good understanding of what I am speaking about. Do yourself the favor and watch it!

I mentioned before, their chemistry together, Chef's kiss. But them as individual actors, I believe they play their characters really. Ken, two years later can't get over the love of his life and Peter Lue, he is helpless in the love he has for Ken. The longing you see and you hear and you feel, it is overwhelming to watch and I can't help but feel for Peter because until Ken officially lets go of past love, Peter is in a zone that has no name. To put Peter in the friendzone would be an insult.

Ken has great people in his life due to his past love Din, they all very smart and very protective of Ken and this pretty much I can say without spoiling any more of the series. I hope that the last 3 episodes gives the show the justice that it is currently not getting.

Love Syndrome III Ep 5

How would I describe this series: It is a train wreak that you can't help but watch.

As someone who has read the first two books and has watched Unforgotten Night, they could have waited and made the show with better quality. Frank as an Ex-GMMer, he should know that your face is your brand and everything that you do should be of quality. I understand that he went into the military and had to cut his hair. While they were waiting for his hair to grow back, because Brick/Itt's hair is slightly longer, Long and Frank could have gone through longer workshops to build better chemistry. (Shame on the person who felt that it was alright to have Frank in that wig) Yes, I understand that they are both attractive, but it can't do much if you can't act or better yet, act with each other.

For a 12 episode series, the pacing is fine. I really don't feel that they are doing the source material justice. Author was right not to give TV/Films rights for the first two books because WOW. I hope and pray that they never make series for Nan and Mac.

I don't know how I feel about Night and Gear just yet. I am not a big fan of the actors who play Kamol and Kim, I understand that the characters' ages are older, but they could have found more attractive actors with better chemistry within the necessary age range. Plus the hat and sunglasses they had Khun Kamol wearing didn't help.

I know I was supposed to talk about episode 5, but everything I just mentioned gives you an idea of my thoughts on the episode. As stated it is a train wreak and I will continue to watch.

Ok, so the first episode of Bed Friend aired, and I don’t know how I feel. One thing I will say is that I am kinda upset that it will only be 8 episodes, but then I remembered that when they announced Middleman and Bedfriend, it was stated that it would be 16 episodes total. There is nothing that we can really do about this, but I do hope for at least a special episode; I could be jumping the gun so early in the show.

I have to say this, and I have thought about this for a while, but James Su, there is something about him that he is the person you should worry about. I believe he can make the straightest man question his sexuality and pull females left and right if he wanted. Net, I think he knows what he has with James, and while he may be a flirt, I believe he genuinely cares for James.

Now, episode one, I think one of the worst traumas a person can have is from a loved one, especially a parent because we are under the impression that we trust first and before anyone else in the world. That being said, there is a special place in hell for parents like Uea’s. Because not only did you abuse him, you are asking for money that you technically have no right to, since you said you wish you never had a child like him. I am getting so upset just writing about it, moving on.

King, I have one word for him, Sprung. He is in love with Uea, point, blank, period. The issue with players like we have seen in Love in the Air, is that it takes a bit longer for the object of your affection to trust you. Reforming a player will always take time, not only are you trying to get the person you are in love with to trust you, you also have to take into account external factors (ONSs, Exs, etc.), and depending if your soon to be lover is going through their own drama, you may need to use all of your cards. How King and Uea met for the first time would definitely be considered bad timing due to the fact the King already had his flavor for the night when he came across the person who would change his life forever. 

You can tell that after their first night together, King had different expectations to what actually happened, and to be told to completely forget about it was a punch in the gut, a tear in the heart. But being the player that he is, when he sets his sights on something, there is no stopping him. Uea is also the type of person who doesn't take any BS, I can kinda see why he was compared to Sky. I think the only difference is that Sky’s trauma is from a previous lover  which put him on guard when it comes to being in relationships, Uea’s is from his mother and her rejection of his sexuality. You can change a lover but not a mother.

With that being said, I am looking forward to the next episode and I wonder how they will pace the show being that there are only 8 episodes. Till next time.

Episode 8 VS Episode 13 | Parallels: First Sightings

It’s very telling that when Sky first notices Gun, with eyes full of wonder and admiration, Gun doesn’t acknowledge him at all. This unfortunately becomes the running theme throughout their relationship. Sky is so desperate for Gun to see him, that he’ll do whatever it takes.

Whereas Prapai spots Sky first. He is completely captivated and intrigued on first glance. When Sky spots Prapai staring at him in the crowd, he looks back with trepidation, wariness, and slight confusion. His instincts tell him beware.

The sad irony in the man who Sky was utterly enamoured by on first sight turned out to be a horrendous monster. And the man who Sky thought would be an asshole, turned out to be a complete sweetheart.

A few thoughts on the LITA finale

These are not my final thoughts on episode 13 or the show in its entirety but I wanted to share some of my thoughts on this last episode. It's actually not that much.

So essentially, there were a few things I wished happened in this last episode. This is coming from someone who got to read the book ( the translation of the book gets uploaded and deleted from the internet so I can't give a link)

I wish we got to see Rain and Phayu join in beating the s**t out of Gun and his crew. Especially our little Raindrop because we would get to see him defend his friend and very enthusiastically might I add. It was nice seeing him kick what's his name ass for his boyfriend, it would have been great to see that as well for his friend.

I wish we got to see P' Chai, go to the condo to handle Gun and his crew in the same manner as he did for Phayu and Rain. Yes while the story of Phayu/Rain and Prapai/Sky are different, P'Chai was a necessary character in both stories.

I wish we got to see Prapai's mother and her interaction with Sky, mainly because Sky played a major role in who Prapai is now, also Sky has a new parental figure in his life (mother in law). You can see from the post credit scene he has been welcomed into the family, before it was only Sky and his father, now he has in-laws.

Lastly, I wish we got to see Sky and Prapai's Uncle meet because the uncle played such an important role in Sky's recovery and for him to be Prapai's uncle is kinda fated. I know a lot of people would agree with me when a fan would be elated to meet their idol in real life especially ones that helped them get through a rough time in their life.

I am sad to see that Love in the Air has ended, I am looking forward to the special episode. I know it will be blazing.

I am hoping to write final thoughts on the show form episode 1-13, or may be from episode 1 to the special episode.

The Power Bottom and the Soft Top

I am not sure if anyone else has described this dynamic of Prapai and Sky as such but that is what I am getting from watching episode 11 of Love in the Air.

As we all know, Sky has a deep sexual trauma that has affected him on a romantic and personal level. While he is a wonderful friend and overall person, he does tend to keep people at arms length. We see that through the friendship dynamic between him and Rain, for example, we never see Sky ask about Rain's love life because it is a great excuse to not divulge in his ( or lack there of before Prapai).

Considering his last relationship, he was deemed powerless, so I believe that moving forward he made it a point to have full control of his sexual life as we see in episode 8. And looking at the 'courtship' of Prapai and Sky, he has majority control even though he may not realize it at the moment.

Prapai is what you call a 'Soft Top'. He is very gentle and caring when it comes to Sky, and I would say mainly due to the fact that there is more Sky than meets the eye and he is ready to to be there for him when those fears comes to light.

From the love scene in episode 11, you can see that Sky has almost full control in the bedroom. And maybe it is just me, but knowing the age difference of Peat and Fort, I can't help but take that into account. Outside the bedroom, Prapai loves taking care of Sky, making sure he eats and rests, and for him, the only real reward is seeing his baby Sky happy.

I do believe that this is very new territory for them, but they fall into these roles very well.

Sky, while still having doubts, is opening his heart and allowing himself to be taken care of. Prapai, being the player extraordinaire, is reforming into a monogamist ( a word he would have never described himself to before Sky).

What I will say is that, I hope everyone enjoyed these last two episodes before these next two is about to be real. Sky's ex, the SOB, will be making an appearance again and we are goin to see him get his ass beat.

Do you know why this scene so important?

Because he knew he messed up, not only once but twice, when he gave Prapai Sky's number and then when he mentioned his ex. Rain knew he really fucked up when he mentioned his ex because Sky's mood changed so drastically. Him mentioning Prapai, I would say is somewhat harmless because Sky is trying to listen to his head instead of his heart when it comes to him.

I want to assume Phayu has brought Rain up to speed on the type of person Prapai is, so now he is going into protective mode. Which he should and I would say that we haven't seen the last of our fighter Rain.

Of course this is what I think about right before I have to go to work.

But from Boss and Noeul's recent live, Boss mentioned wanting to work with Noeul again in future projects and to tell you the truth, in addition to their off screen chemistry, episode 4 and episode 6 solidified their CP.

I do believe they will always be each others' love interest in BLs or a same sex couple in lakorns. We have seen in before with Mew and Gulf, and Max and Tul. This is Boss and Noeul's first role and we don't know where their end goal is or where they will end up, but I do believe that building their confidence and acting skills or even practicing music, will get them to where they want/need to go.

But I also want us to remember that guys have been notorious in going through the BL pipeline to get enough recognition as stepping stone and there is nothing wrong with that.

I do believe that they will be each others' lives for a very long time.

Am I obsessed, yes, yes I believe I am.

Boss and Noeul rant

First off I want to say is that their relationship is a sight to see. I would have to describe as a more than friends less than lovers relationship because of how they interact with each other on and off screen.

With that being said let the rant begin.

Divine timing, soulmates, maybe twin flames, and magnetic attraction.

These are the words I would describe their origin story to the present (in terms of their current partnership).

So first, I would say Noeul came back to Thailand from S. Korea after graduation and after the Pandemic ( the Pandemic could be seen as a reason to begin, prolong, or delay certain events in people's lives).

Second, the day they met at casting, Noeul approached Boss first, out of every other guy at casting, he decided to approach him and not only chat with Boss to pass the time, but they exchanged contact information with the possibility that they would connect and meet each other regardless of the outcome from casting. So not only did they speak, exchange contact info, but they also get casted for LITA as a couple.

So here we are, these two guys that have been casted as each other's love interest, and as you know with most BL shows/couples, workshops can only do so much and it is encouraged that you build chemistry outside of work. And we can see they definitely did that.

That now brings me to the topic of soulmates, maybe twin flames. Soulmates or even twin flames doesn't necessarily mean romantic (Twin flames are much more complex than soul mates and I do believe that people are over using the word without truly understanding the meaning, but that's for another day).

From the a lot of their interviews ( Thank God for fandom translators, you have a special place in my heart), they speak very often of their relationship (friendship or otherwise) outside of work, where it is mainly the two of them. Overall, they have a deep connection built on trust, safety, and unconditional love (however you want to look at it).

Their soulmate or twin flame relationship is something that we may truly never understand, in it's entirety. And you know, we don't really need to.

Now as any true BL shipper, we love watching them together and they have this attraction to each other that I would describe at magnetic.

As far as we know, they talk to each other everyday and they hangout with each other just as much, but what I will say is that when they are in each other's presence, physically, they are either touching in one way, shape or form, or they are in each others orbits. I believe that Boss likes being hugged by Noeul, he enjoys his warmth (giving small spoon vibes) and Noeul is often seen falling into Boss' embrace.

You can say where there is one, the other is not far behind.

When LITA started and they had their events, and from their social media content, I really thought that they took fanservice a little too seriously, but I truly believe that they have deep affection for each other and they can't help but show it.

I have written before that while Boss and Noeul may not be in a romantic relationship, I do believe that they like each other and they both have different ways of showing it. I believe that Boss' affection towards Noeul is very direct, while Noeul's is subtle.

Boss likes to stare at Noeul, blatantly, not caring that they're in front of an audience and it is being caught on camera. But also let's not forget Boss will find some way to touch Noeul and he definitely tries to be less obvious (but the fandom always catches it). With Noeul, he catches himself much quicker, I feel like when he looks at Boss, sometimes it's in awe and I don't think he realizes it.

In addition to their height difference, they somehow fit really well with each other like a puzzle. You'll sometime see one or the other put their head in the crook of the other's neck and it fits like a puzzle. One last thing, when they hug each other ( from what I have seen on the show and irl), they look so safe in each others arms. I am not sure if I am describing it correctly, but that's how I feel.

So in conclusion to this long rant (much longer than I intended), I can't wait to see more of them. I look forward to the progression of their careers as well as their relationship.

While I don't condone Prapai's method of getting Sky to agree to sleep with him ( never did, even from my previous post).

What would you consider the interaction between Prapai, Rain, and Phayu at the end of episode 7?

And as much as I don't want to throw Phayu under the bus, he allowed that shit to happen.

I have to say this because the word 'R*pe' is being thrown around in terms of how Sky and Prapai found their way in bed together.

Let me be very clear that Sky under any circumstance was not r*ped. He was coerced. And I am saying this to say as someone who was able to get their hands on some of the chapters before it was removed, Prapai has never done that (r*pe) to Sky or needed to.

Remember Prapai is a playboy, he uses charm or manipulation to get what he wants, never force. If he was told no, he knows he could have gotten from someone else and if episode 8 showed any indications, he has people who he can call or who call him when they want some. As a spoiler from the novel, from the very first chapter where they are at the race track, when Prapai propositioned Sky, he didn't actually expect him to say yes.

Sky has his own insecurities he has to work through and through Praipai's pursuit we will see Sky face them.

I don't know what else to say at this point, but I do know that there are two side when it comes to the viewer. Those who got a chance tor read the novel and see what's going through the minds of Prapai and Sky (books are more complex compared to TV/Movie adaptations) and those who haven't read it.

Let's see how episode 9 plays out.

Possible Spoiler, read at your own risk.

I know that this maybe the craziest theory but the thought just popped in my mind.

What if Sky's relationship with ex is the different side of the D/s dynamic?

From the novel there is mention of Sky, and how he used to have nipple rings when he was in his relationship with his ex Gun. And from a later chapter in the book, with an another encounter with Gun, he has them on again or better yet placed on him once again.

I really don't know. I could be wrong. Just a random thought.
