[ID: A digital drawing. Marissa stands before Echidna, holding a sun before her. Fire billows out from her sun, around Marissa, silhouetting her. Within the mass of Echidna, four monstrous mouths and one human mouth stretch open, and five monstrous eyes reflect the flames.]
“Marissa!” Echidna screamed, her voice guttural, voiced from five different mouths. “Mars! It’s too soon! I want to kill them! I want to kill them all! Kill this world! Destroy this universe that did this to me! Not yet, Mars!”
inspired by idkhow - SPKOTHDVL :] also loosely inspired by this piece by @artistatthedisco that made me really wanted to do big swirly interlocked lettering. the lettering didn't quite come out how i intended but ah well... practice will eventually pay off!
uber and leet streaming the wildly online-popular "Second-Trigger Challenge", in which parahumans attempt to recreate the conditions of their trigger event as closely as possible to see if they can get it to happen again (uber's trigger was losing 3 call of duty matches in a row and getting called a noob, leet's trigger was spilling water all over the gaming rig he had just finished after months of saving up and putting together); at first everything seems to be going swimmingly, viewership is soaring etc., but things go awry when they do, in fact, end up second-triggering together... into a "two-player" cluster.
read my new fic, Press (Kiss) to Kill, coming to theaters this october
