Lex smiled sheepishly as he wiped the his mouth with the back of his hand. “Sorry, wasn’t trying to make you go fishy.” He teased with a wink before leaning forward a bit in his seat. “I feel like I should be concerned with what sort of shop this was but it’s also not my business so I’ll shut up.”

"It's okay, just a sort of automatic thing, I prefer not to turn into one unless I'm in an actual body of water." She chuckled, biting down on her bottom lip as cheeks flushed pink. "It's not that concerning, it's a place called Spencer's in the US, they sold a lot of adult items, but that's not all they sold, so it was definitely an interesting experience. I have nothing to hide, or be ashamed of, everyone has had weird jobs, or at least most have had them once or twice."

“With the way the rain is coming down, I don’t think you’ll be dry any time soon.” He pointed out. “It does get a little heavy but I don’t mind it.” He took the steps to his apartment two at a time before shifting her once more to unlock the door. A thunderous bark sounded off on the other side as his keys jangled and he chuckled. “That would be Cerberus. He’s huge and looks terrifying but he’s a big baby.” On the other side of the door sat a black Newfoundland dog, his tail wagging happily. “Hi buddy.” Lex greeted, patting the dog as he moved past him to sit Cami on the couch, the sound of the dog shutting the door with his nose following them. “I’ll go get you a towel or 5.”

"Definitely not, but one can only dream, it's even worse when the rain comes down on days I'm meant to work, becomes a nuisance." She smiled. "You can consider it your workout for the day, " Camille teased, sighing contentedly at the instant warmth that overcame as the two stepped inside the apartment. "He looks like he's swallowed about a thousand of my dog, maybe more, but all dogs are precious." She assured him with a smile, failing at her attempt to pet the dog. "Fancy name, though." The brunette pointed out, grimacing a little as she was placed on the couch. "I hope this doesn't ruin your furniture but five might be needed, maybe even ten."

“I’m glad that it is not one of your goals and I hope it never becomes one.” He smiled back at her, his fingers itching to push back the piece of hair that had fallen into her face but he refrained. “I suppose that is true. I grew up in a time where not many lived to be that old. Plus I was a general in a Greek army. The average lifespan of a general in the time was short. I was scared of growing old because I didn’t think I’d ever get the chance anyway. Always live your life to the fullest Cami. It’s the best advice you can take, give and follow.” He chuckled. “I can’t imagine that ended well. You must miss her a lot. I’m sure, honestly. I don’t do much. And you don’t have to pay me.”

"I've never been a cruel person, or at least I like to think I haven't, so I'm sure unless something drastic happens, it won't." She assured him, tucking one of the fallen strands behind her ear with a soft smile. "I think it's all about the accomplishments and difference one makes, not the age they reach, but that makes sense. But I guess you don't really ever have to worry about that, or do you not fear that now?  I definitely do my best to try and live up to that." She nodded. "No, definitely not, she once believed she had prostate cancer and it took a lot to convince her that she didn't." Camille chuckled at the memory. "And I miss most my family, it's strange without them, we were all such a close bunch. Are you sure?"

“I would pay good money to see a mermaid surfing.” He teased, feeling her shiver his face slipped into a frown before he pulled her in closer so that she could feel his body heat. “I didn’t know you were sick. I would have planned something else.”

"Well if I ever find myself in need of a job or making an extra buck, I'll look into it." Camille chuckled, shaking her head at Alexion. "I'm not sick, no, I just get easily cold which in a way is odd, but I'm used to the warmth of Florida. I'll be fine, I'm sure once we start moving."
