Ok but Kaneki knows that as far as it is known, Touka's body will absorb the foetus, so maybe that's why he wanted to get married? He realised that Touka was willing to make such a heartbreaking decision in order for them and the baby to have a future; but unlike her, Kaneki doesn't need to decide between Yoriko and their future as a family because he knows the outcome. He's planning on saving Yoriko but he wants to show Touka that he also cares deeply, hence the marriage.

Hello Anon! And in my opinion, that’s the general idea, although I don’t agree with everything. 

If we look at the current situation through Kaneki’s eyes as of ch131, here’s the thing:

he initially intended on saving Yoriko for Touka’s sake, however Touka basically told him that she’d rather have him not going, so him possibly still going is due to his own inability to not do anything whenever he feels involved and when he thinks it’s for Touka’s sake. 

then he learnt about the baby but, as you said, there is a good possibility that he remembers about Itori’s words so, even if I think a part of him is indeed happy, he’s probably worried about the repercussion of Touka’s own choice towards Yoriko should she lose the baby.

there is also the fact that Kaneki believes he will die soon, due to aging too fast as per Nishiki’s explanation, which is very probably not helping with the fact that Touka is pregnant with their child, might miscarry and, in the event that she might not, himself might not be able to watch his kid grow up due to his condition. :/

===> Hence the wedding, because he definitely cares about Touka and about the baby and he’s unhappy to think he might die soon and lose his chance to have a future with them, so…

…the wedding was his way to make it count now and to let Touka know that he would have wanted this future with her (were he not apparently doomed).

Where I disagree with you however is that Kaneki should realize that he doesn’t have to go rescue Yoriko, and it would still be the case even if Touka wasn’t pregnant, because he is this rebellion’s leader:

And so him willingly going into the CCG’s trap is a threat to this rebellion’s outcome in the first place (without mentioning the threat to the lives of the comrades who might follow him). 

See, this is what I meant earlier by Kaneki’s inability to admit that there are times he should recognize that he’s unable to do anything and that it has nothing to do with being weak, because he simply can’t accept it and that’s literally the basis of his character:

So choosing to rescue Yoriko is basically him jeopardizing the rebellion that he is the leader of and, even though we readers know that he doesn’t really care in the first place…

…because he only cares about the people that he loves (thus going to save Yoriko for Touka’s sake)…

…it’s still a bad idea to go when the CCG is after his head, since he’s definitely jeopardizing his own future at the same time. 

That’s why I think this (last?) arc is supposed to focus on the basis of Kaneki’s character and what he’s afraid to confront about himself, what’s stopping him from changing and healing, now that he’d like to live on and have a future with Touka.

Touka’s pregnancy and him having to make drastic choices is simply building a parallel between Kaneki and his own mother (since all the choices that she made ended up making him suffer), so that he will finally be able to acknowledge all that he ever reproached to his mother, in order not to end up making the same mistakes with his own child. 

TL;DR Touka made a heartbreaking choice when Kaneki refused to, and that’s an issue he has to overcome, otherwise he will basically become like his mother -> I think that’s possibly what this arc is/will be about.

i just noticed, kaneki's eyebags seem to have dissapeared a lot, especially towards the end of the chapter. maybe he's finally taking better care of himself! :o

Totally agree, especially with the fact that Kaneki's choices are now paralleling his mothers more than ever.

But there's one area he did make a choice - the quinx squad. As shown in his conversation with Amon, he chose to fight for ghouls specifically, ignoring that they meant something to him too. Which is interesting, because he was a father figure to them, and he chose to abandon his metaphorical children. And I think it won't be long before that comes back to bite him, and possibly endanger his own unborn child. It already is, through Mutsuki.

About Touka’s choice

I think it’s important to realize that Touka didn’t just choose her baby over Yoriko’s (her best friend’s) survival. 

Because, as a matter of fact she did, she tried to stop Kaneki from going, to save him too. Remember in the last chapter?

And in the new chapter…

Touka is not an idiot. They have talked about it before (ch122), so when she saw what he had hidden under his pillow, she realized that he was thinking about going to rescue Yoriko, which means that he was ready to endanger at least himself (if not some of his followers/their friends) to rescue just one person, probably all the more because this person is important to her. 

That’s why she didn’t say that she saw the paper about Yoriko’s death sentence, rather telling him that she was pregnant. 

Touka learnt her lesson during the Anteiku raid arc…

And she doesn’t even care about this rebellion, because living while you still can is the best she thinks she and others can do in this twisted world. 

To be honest, she’s probably never going to forgive herself for what might happen to Yoriko, however in this chapter, trying to stop Kaneki when he simply can’t save everyone (and when he’s so tired) was the most important to her. So she went against her own wishes and told him about the pregnancy, even though she’s aware it might not be viable. 

This chapter was sad. Even Kaneki’s wedding “proposal” is him basically apologizing and trying his best because he can’t choose. ;_;

I actually love how Kaneki is holding firm to his ideals not to kill any humans. Hope he keeps it up

I’m fine with Kaneki having ideals he wants to hold to, or even wanting to avoid violence. 

The thing is Kaneki isn’t really holding an ideal towards life, as he’s perfectly willing to kill ghouls at the same time he insists they must not kill humans. 

He’s not batman whose completely unwilling to kill anybody even his worst enemy. He’s just drawing a line between whose acceptable to kill (ghouls) and whose unacceptable to kill (humans). It’s vigilante nonsense, rather than idealism.
