Charcherry Weekly - Issue 195
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Where did the month go? at least the news is still here.
In the Ring at Dawn
Early this week, the dungeon crashers took a trip to the distant tidally locked planet of Dawnsring, which is host to the Dawnsring Divine Combat Circuit. Those that went on the mission included Rogue of Heart Charles, Brae Emit, her sibling Heir of Time Rise Emit, Maid of Void Skitis, and one other. Reportedly they did some investigating, though there wasn't much of a dungeon complex, just a well populated double decker indoor fighting arena known as The Colosseum. Apparently it is host to two different leagues: the spectacular safety-minded light league, and the no holds barred Brutal League. The former has much more publicity for sensibility reasons, it appears. Regardless, the party managed to watch two matches, one from each league.
The first one was between Bard of Mind Elenora "The Discombobulator" and Heir of Blood Ace Starling. Elenora managed to win the match through razzle dazzle and a light shove off the platform.
The second match was between Thief of Heart Vamp and Heir of Time "Time Trancer". Being true to form, this match was indeed a brutal one, as the two of them (plus a summoned ghost in a reaper robe on Trancer's side) fought hard, drawing blood and inflicting injuries upon each other. Surprisingly, Time Trancer managed to tank two seemingly fatal stabbings from Vamp. It is speculated this may have to do with usage of time powers, or perhaps something related to a personal support network, but this has not been publicly confirmed.Regardless, Time Trancer won via delivering a merciful technical ring-out, and Vamp was sent to the infirmary to recover.
Meanwhile, Charles did a solo run of the basement underneath the arena and took out the dungeon core that had been placed there by former sponsors of the franchise. Fortunately, since it was taken out by a stargate blast, there was minimal collateral damage. While they did encounter a number of guards, none of them were harmed and the one that successfully tackled him got sent to Desertia and got a return ticket to the spaceport.
Currently, Knight of Strife Marcus, owner of the DDCC, is discussing changing over to a more ethical sponsorship of Desertian origin. There is also an audit being performed on the finances of the DDCC at this time. Preliminary reports have suggested that the financial troubles that necessitated a voidco sponsorship in the first place are in part due to third party vendors charging more than usual, due to Dawnsring being outside of The Federation, apparently out of fears of the legality of the operation of the brutal league. Further investigation and legal council will be necessary.
Reportedly, Central City, the capital of Dawnsring, has been running low on power since the core was removed, but there have been improvements in power efficiency, thanks to some tips on a mysterious note.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 194
Heya everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Things happened. Let's begin.
Early this week was 4/13, the day of Heir of Breath June Egbert and Maid of Life Jane Crocker's shared birthday. There was a small gift-giving occasion that day. With it also being Homestuck day, there was a wide variety of fanworks that updated on that day, though this was largely irrelevant to happenings over here.
A few days later, Heir of Time Rise Emit climbed to the top of Mt. Coronet and defended the Hisui region from two very bothered legendary pokemon, Dialga and Palkia in particular. They caught the first one in a Gigaton ball, and the second one in the Origin Ball. After the successful captures, the spacetime rift above the mountain closed up, and the strange disturbance across the land faded back to normal. After a day or two, Rise returned home, though has claimed that there is still an unfinished timeloop to be completed, due to a cryptic instruction from their future self. It is unknown when they will return to Hisui, but it will likely happen eventually.
Very recently, a potential dungeon location has been revealed. It is very possible that it will involve a fighting venue designed for godtier combatants. Most likely date for investigation will be on monday the 22nd. It is advised to be prepared for very strong enemies, due to the nature of the establishment. Further information to be gathered soon regarding best method of transportation.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 193
Spring is in full swing and the news continues on. let's get to it.
Early this week, Heir of Time Rise Emit took off to Hisui to continue their quests, beginning with finally tackling the Alabaster Icelands. Reportedly, they successfully quelled the frenzy of Noble Avelugg, after a number of repeated attempts. A single day after this however, the entire region was blanketed in a mysterious light, with no way to tell night from day. As a result, Rise was exiled from the Galaxy Team, forced to take refuge elsewhere as they completed the three trials of the lake guardians for the sake of obtaining the Red Chain. A few short days and increased suspicion over Ginkgo guild member Volo later, Rise completed all trials and returned to the village. With the leader off on an expedition on Mt. Coronet, unable to object, Rise was taken back in, townsfolk and team members alike filled with hope that Rise will be able to save the world. It is unknown when Rise will climb the sacred mountain to complete the task, but it is likely to be soon.
Page of Mind Samm has been very busy lately, continuing the development of Grass 3. Reportedly, there has been progress made past plants and bugs, now onto introducing small creatures slightly higher on the food chain. Meanwhile, another version of her, Heir of Time Samm(?), has recently reappeared from who knows where. On thursday, she proceeded to present the group with an ominous countdown, which ended in some firecrackers being set off in Unity Village. The local crowd dispersed soon after.
As a note, Gym Leader Jovin Castle is likely to soon go on a break from his gym leader duties, to go traveling for a bit. If and when this happens, Unity Mayor Brae Emit will fill in for him.
on April 10th, Seer of Space K celebrated their birthday. Their age is unknown, but it is assumed they are in their late 20's. I hope K is doing well, wherever they might be recently.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 192
Hello! Mage of Light Nick Card here! April is upon us and spring is in the air! Let's get to the news.
Eggs and Hatched Sightings!
On trans day of visibility (which easter happened to also land on this year), a great deal of assorted pokemon eggs were spotted in Unity Village. A number of people went out to search for them and claimed an egg or two without any particular protest. Meanwhile, a number of openly transgender members of the dungeon crashers displayed their colors on this day. I will not mention them all in publication because there's so many of us that it would take up the whole paper. In tangential news, a certain kid's eevee evolved into sylveon on this day as well. Reportedly they adore their sylveon just as much as before.
On Korous, a holiday known as "save your childhood day" was celebrated on this day, as a replacement for the infamous "burn your childhood day". Reportedly, Save your childhood day involves greenhorn temporics going through their old toys and figuring out which ones they wish to keep, and which to pass down to those next in line. At the end of the day, there was a grand foam sword fight with all the children against a chosen trusted adult figure in each town. Each child who got involved was given a commemorative collectable token, as well as a blank journal to document and plan their rite's journey with. It is hoped that this experience will ready korosian youth for the future, rather than scar their past.
A Fool's Errand
The day after happened to be april fool's day, and the tricks and jokes were out in full force! Warlock of Time Coleman was seen looking particularly wonky this day, while Brae Emit and her pokemon enjoyed a fun little role-swap. There was also a green gastly sighting in unity village. Reportedly there were a number of pranks gone wrong in Neo Alternia, but thankfully a particular 7 foot tall wigglytuff with questionable medical expertise was able to step in for any local emergencies.
Also of note, reportedly Voidco HQ had lost power on this day due to a prank gone right. It was restored hours later by a pair of employees, though the ones that worked in the power department have since gone missing, most likely for their own safety.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 191
Ow my ear. This is Nick Card Mage of Light and I am so glad that broadcast alert is over. Let's get to the news.
Early this week, Page of Mind Samm finally emerged from her meditative state, after at least a month. Reportedly, she is quite ready to resume her work on Grass 3, having planted what will become a world tree recently. A number of collaborators have been performing caretaking tasks there in her absence.
Neo Alternia has been continuing its development, with power and local internet operational. Recently, an effort was organized by an official to catalogue a great number of items, to be added to the replicator database. Reportedly it went relatively well, with only minimal skeptical resistance. Regardless, the trolls of this world continue the settling in process, as they slowly return to their occupations, though it is assumed the more dangerous ones will need to be handled differently than before.
On Tuesday, Jo-baddie rogue of heart Jojo sent out a series of messages on the memo, which appeared to be lyrics to a song that he was singing. Normally this wouldn't be of note, but at the same time, there were reports of strange and dangerous activity at The Park, including hazardous electrical discharge and a heavy draining effect from the noted dungeon core located there. An evacuation order was enacted, resulting in a great deal of TV's and radios on starter planet playing an alert message. At the park, visitors were guided to the train station, much in part thanks to Brae Emit's efforts. Having been overengineered for just that kind of evacuation scenario (thanks to Skye M. of the DTA), the station was well equipped to handle everyone that needed to escape. The vast majority of the pokemon that were there got transferred over to Unity Ranch via box storage methods. Needless to say, the evacuation was a success.
In a few day's time, the dungeon crashers arrived at the park, prepared for a showdown. Present that day was Heir of Time Rise Emit, their sister Brae Emit, Maid of Void Skitis, three different versions of Skye,Pokemon Professor Coleman Branch, Rogue of Heart Charles, and one other individual. They were greeted by Jojo, who then proceeded to challenge them to a pokemon battle, using a rotom occupied mobile home on tank treads. Being well prepared, the dungeon crashers sent out their pokemon, and proceeded to attack the rotomhome. At some point during the battle, the battlefield had gained a sunny day effect by unknown means. This allowed for Charles's magmortar to hit even harder with its super effective fire type attacks. Soon enough, the rotomhome broke down, and Jojo faced the party himself. Charles proceeded to attempt a heart swap, but Jojo, also being a rogue of heart, was well prepared to resist. As a counter, he attempted to rip out Charles's soul, which Charles used to their advantage. Reportedly, Charles managed to directly attack Jojo on a metaphysical level, before being forced out of him to return to their own body. After that, Jojo was placed under arrest and held (by the legs) until the dungeon crashers could safely transport him to prison. Half of the party entered the underground facility where the dungeon core had been previously located and managed to remove it from the space it occupied entirely, encountering minimal complications.
As it currently stands, The Park has been seized by the Desertian government due to the safety concerns stemming from Jojo's actions. Repairs to the space were performed by Brae's palkia and modifications to time were re-aligned by Rise's Dialga. The pokemon of the park are being cared for at the ranch until it is safe for them to be returned. The following statement was released, to be delivered to all parkgoers:
Please be advised that The Park is closed while an investigation is underway. Anyone who has prepurchased tickets may call the office of President Katyleen Kitten at 555-555-6969 to receive either a refund or have their visit postponed, in accordance to their preference.
in other news, Mage of Life Blaze has been returned for two weeks, and a very busy rancher will be given a vacation for his service.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 190
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Its certainly been one heck of a week. Let's get to it.
Dangit Romper
Early this week, a flash drive was recovered by seemingly arbitrary means (random appearification by a curious wandering pokemon in the hardware workshop). It had apparently been one recognized by Heir of Hope Hazel Careon. She managed to retrieve a number of files off of it, which had to be won back via dice game. Vriskers used her luck to win the dice game and Gwyn used their quick draw to distribute the contained information to trusted parties. It was revealed that Ultimate Defense Attorney Katyleen Kitten had been accepted to Hope's Peak University in the past and ended up being forced to participate in a seemingly endless cycle of death games, reset with the participants forced back to life in their previous states once a year since september 2016. Driven to find out more, investigative reporter Aeons Edgeworth made a request to the SCP Foundation for more information, and had been put on a mailing list. As it turned out, this year's death game cycle had just started, and Ultimate Prosecutor Lightyears Edgeworth of this present point in time (no relation to Aeons) had also gotten kidnapped with Past Katie there. Reportedly, there is an advanced voidco dungeon core in play here, with the ability to maintain the looped time circuit, as well as a few other effects. Unfortunately, there is also a forcefield that makes entry and exit impossible as one of the notable features, so broadcast video content is the only way to keep tabs on the incident as it happens annually. The footage we are receiving has been screened by the foundation to make sure there aren't any cognitohazards being sent out. Because of the sensitive nature of the events, present Katie has not been in a good state lately, but thankfully her friends are offering their support. Regardless, further investigation is expected to continue as more video files are sent over.
Welcome to Neo Alternia!
On monday, an object known as the patriorb was recovered from another universe and sent to a trusted individual. The anonymous figure proceeded to sleep for three days. A few days later, a council was formed and held a meeting in a specially designated train. This council was comprised of a number of private individuals, but also included Rogue of Heart Charles, Heir of Time President Thoren Emit, Julian Ezinca, Garfie Lazaga, Exieda Olvegi, and at least one version of Skye M. The council made plans on how to handle the imminent release of the rescued trolls of Scarab city from the patriorb. It was decided that a stage would be set up with sound equipment, and that replicators would be deployed to provide food and water. An anonymous healer was put on healing duty. This process of uncaptchaloguing (after auto-sorting) took a number of hours, with surprisingly minimal chaos until the timelocked cards began to be deployed. Page of Rage Jovin Castle was called upon to help the council defend the trolls from surprise attacks. Eventually however, the main council member, who had viciously proved herself as a terrifying opponent in battle, got up on stage to introduce herself. She identified as Her Enigmatic Resiliency, and tossed the dead corpse of the Her Imperious Condescension upon the stage to let it be known that the previous emperess was dead and gone, and would be replaced by HER. She proceeded to offer an encouraging speech about the rights that would be afforded to the trolls of Neo Alternia, in contrast to the lack of rights before. However, HER was gunned down on stage and died then and there. But this was not the end. Her Enigmatic Resiliency rose from the dead before her subjects, and shocked the audience as she continued her speech, calling the attack "rude". Peace was re-established quickly after that. At this point, reconstruction on Scarab city is continuing, ties to korous have been established, an industrial replicator has been installed, and the future is looking sufficiently unlit for the nocturnal horned grey children of Neo Alternia. Your dear newsletter writer managed to get an online interview with Her Enigmatic Resiliency. Here is the entire interview:
HER: Hello, I'm ready for the interview whenever you are. LS: I'm ready, just had to attend to some things for a moment LS: Alright, so, you're Her Enigmatic Resiliency, correct? HER: That is correct, yes. LS: Ah, its nice to meet you. HER: Likewise. LS: Anyhow, I have a few questions for you. LS: First question: it appears from the footage that Neo Alternia is still a work in progress. Do you have any idea how long it may take with current known resources to rebuild from what had been transferred over? HER: I cannot estimate that accurately. I'm hoping we get virtual infrastructure working in the next couple of nights and work from there. LS: Ah, that sounds like it'll go quick there. HER: I'm thankful for all the aid provided, and my subjects are handling things remarkably well, considering the distressing circumstances. LS: That's good. That also brings me to my next question: LS: What ties does Neo Alternia have to Korous, considering President Thoren's presence at the presentation? HER: Neo Alternia is currently within the Korosian solar system, and so is technically under their jurisdiction for now. HER: We have agreed to work together to ensure the safety and rights of Neo Alternia. LS: That's good to hear. From what I've gathered, the Emit Administration has done very well at getting Korosian society up and running again, with more agreeable policy than before The Reckoning. I trust you've got a strong ally there. HER: I believe their experience will be helpful with my plans for Neo Alternia, yes. LS: Next question: It's been reported that 99% of the troll population on Neo Alternia is relatively young, apparently due to prior enforcement of adult/child segregation practices. Will such practices be ended, and what will be done about conventional concerns regarding child labor in a place where most labor is qualified as such out of necessity? HER: The practice of forcing adult trolls off of Alternia has ended yes. No troll need fear their Ascension Day any more. HER: Child labour is a tricky subject. I wish to end it as soon as possible, yet there are not many adults to take up the role. HER: Child labour in dangerous industry is something I look to ending as soon as possible. I am open to hearing any suggestions. LS: That is encouraging to hear. I do hope that it's addressed relatively soon. LS: are there any particular statements you'd like to offer before we wrap this up? HER: I plan on making Neo Alternia the best place for any troll to live. I am open to hearing any suggestions or honest feedback. HER: However, do not mistake my desires and politeness for complacency. LS: understood. what would be the appropriate channels for the public to voice suggestions and feedback? HER: For those outside Neo Alternia, I have this user account. Staff of The Railway and the DTA can handle forwarding physical letters. HER: For those within Neo Alternia, my administration is currently based within the central railway station of the relocated Scarab City. LS: Good to know. It was a pleasure speaking with you. I wish you and your world the best of luck.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 189
Great changes are on the horizon, and I'm not just talking the seasons. This is Mage of Light Nick Card and its time for the news.
Trying to Make a Point
Early this week, mspfa webcomic Pointerstuck had a major update, finally revealing the guest panels that your dear newsletter writer submitted after finding them labeled in a zip file a month or two ago. It involved a certain young (but likely still pretty old) page of void showing up at an unexpected time. Regardless of what this might mean, its apparent that the events of pointerstuck are becoming more and more relevant to events and people over here. I can only hope that the version of Skye involved there makes it into the medium.
The Alternian Project
Late last week, a certain anonymous individual took a journey to planet Alternia in another universe, in order to seek out a high quality sample of sopor slime, among other things. The visitor had been keeping in contact over the past few days, though it is apparent that time is flowing relatively slower compared to how it flows here. Currently, the visitor has reported that they will be returning to Gene on monday, and will reportedly be bringing a very large amount of troll refugees with them, to save them from the Vast Glub. To prepare for this, a grass planet from the Desertia system has been earmarked and moved to the Spectra system to accommodate the trolls that will be arriving. Knight of Space Zowera Careon managed to fulfill the feat of swapping the locations of two different planets, for the sake of providing ideal living conditions. This planet has been dubbed Neo Alternia, and is under korosian jurisdiction. It is unknown what shape the more local governmental body will take on Neo Alternia, as the primary inhabitants are expected to be children with minimal qualifications for such responsibilities. Maid of Void Skitis does not want to take the role. Also of note, a troll that has been traveling with the anonymous visitor has been delivered to safety, as the police chases were getting to be a bit too much for them. They are currently under dungeon crasher care until the visitor returns on monday.
Korosian progress
Planet Korous is getting closer and closer to entering The Federation. The korosian government has recently completed the Grand Mapping Project, now publicly viewable on kor.grandmappingproject.gov . Please note that this link only works if you're accessing it from a connection in the Gene universe. As it stands, the only known remaining task is for korosian laws to be check and aligned with standard federation laws, with this task having been reported as being halfway completed.

Daylight savings is getting closer... Mage of Light Nick Card here. We've got some news on hand.
Moon Mystery
At some point this week, Korosian President Thoren Emit reported about a discovery made on the Korosian moon of Dirtball, following a rather large scale mapping project, as part of the remaining requirements for Korous's entry into the Federation. According to scans, there are peculiar ruins of a building up there. The exact nature of the ruins has yet to be determined, as a team will need to be assembled to investigate closer on a later date.
Tenuous timeloop
A few days ago, at her congress desk on planet Bureaucratia, Desertian President Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten was squarely socked in the nose by another time version of herself, for reasons that have been reported as being her own business, for the time being. Present day Katie has issued the statement that she cannot elaborate as to why [this happened] honestly, and that she has to handle this on her own, for now. For now, she is recovering from her injuries.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 187
February has ended, and the rainy march awaits. Let's get to news now.
Johnny B. Gone
For a number of days, Jo-baddie Johnny has been seen spending more time than usual in Desertia town. However, at some point during the week, he left without warning, much to the dismay of a certain someone. Reportedly, Johnny had been called upon to bail someone else out of some sort of situation. It is assumed that Space player Joey was involved, but this has yet to be confirmed.
Gaming Club!
Earlier this week, after a lengthy conversation about DS games with Brae Emit, Heir of Hope Hazel Careon established the public Desertia Gaming Club memo, with the first game on the club list being Nintendogs+Cats. However, because such a game is difficult to obtain by legitimate means, Rogue of Heart Charles has decided to make a list of games to play that would be far more accessible to club members. That being said, the club is accepting new members and game recommendations.
New quest on the horizon!
Just a day or two ago, communications with the Odd Squad has resumed. Apparently they had been spending quite a few months staying in Ironways, staying out of trouble and generally taking a break from the adventuring grind. However, a recent development has prompted them to take on a request to take out a dungeon core in Phandalin. It is unknown when they will depart from the Clockwork City, but it is likely to be in a few weeks.
Korosian Progress
Earlier this week, official registration paperwork that had not been delivered beforehand has reached the Kardia Temporia, Facilitating further readiness tasks to be completed for planet Korous's entry into The Federation. Foreign Affairs Prince of Time Travis Entropa has adapted to his cabinet position well and is currently handling much of the paperwork and prerequisite requests.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 186
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Rain and shine, it's been pretty quiet this week. things still happened though, so let's get to it.
Off the Shelf and in the Cabinet
Earlier this week, Prince of Time Flux Emit and their sibling, Korosian President Heir of Time Thoren Emit, traveled to Upper Alcove to visit Prince of Time Travis Entropa. Reportedly, he has recovered significantly and had been working on-call for food delivery for a number of local restaurants. That night he was offered the cabinet position of Foreign Affairs under the Emit Administration. He accepted the offer and soon began assessment and orientation. Reportedly, he has passed the assessment and has earned the cabinet position. It is hoped that Entropa will be able to handle situations of diplomacy with places beyond Korous.
Bread Bonanza!
The other day, Brae Emit baked an amazing amount of banana bread, and began selling it at her stand in Desertia square. At the end of the day, she sent the vast majority of it to a number of friends and family. Your dear newsletter writer can attest to the fact that this is some delicious banana bread. Perfect for a breakfast pick-me-up.
Under the Mostly Empty Pizza
Just yesterday, my long running webcomic, None Pizza with Left Beef, reached a significant plot milestone, having arrived at the end of December 2020 with a 2 minute flash animation. For the time being, focus has shifted from the peaceful lull of dungeon crasher life between dungeon crawls, back to the mysterious and charged chronicles on Earth-C. Because it is a section that is covering never before documented events, commands are currently open. Do note that they are still subject to review before being enacted, and can and will be disobeyed by the subject if desired. Here is the URL to the important page in question: https://mspfa.com/?s=38989&p=1307

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 185
Hello everyone! Mage of Light Nick Card here and love is in the air! Or is that my oven? Either way we got news this week.
Wigglytuff?
On valentine's day, a seven foot tall wigglytuff was reportedly seen running the stand. He was eager to sell snacks, particularly the promotional of the week (yes, it has been confirmed this wigglytuff does indeed use he/him pronouns). Sales went up to an all time high that day, as a number of vary curious people wanted to see this plush wonder (some even requesting a picture!). According to the business owner, Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth, this wigglytuff will only be seen at the stand on special occasions. Regardless, he is a welcome sight to Desertia square.
Also that day, Jo-baddies leader Johnny has been seen in town, and later heard very loudly, as he had managed to install a number of speakers around a particular house, and proceeded to serenade a certain someone whose identity is being protected at this current time. Heir of Time Thoren Emit was seen in the area, making sure that nothing bad would occur, apparently having shown up to complete a timeloop. Fortunately, no negative incidents have occurred as a result.
Hepian Kidnapping!
Yesterday on planet Hepi, a mysterious (and to some attractive) fae standing atop a powerful dragon appeared out of the blue, turning the sky red! She managed to kidnap an innocent Hepian citizen and their robotic companion. It is unknown where they had been taken to, but it is unlikely that they will be able to be tracked.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 184
Brrrr, its cold recently! This is Mage of Light Nick Card and there's news to be shared.
Mystery in Lower Unity
Very recently, there was a noise complaint in Lower Unity, the valley area within Unity Village limits, where much of the ex-voidco refugees have taken residence. As it turned out, the excessive noise was from a hive of five trolls who had been in band practice together. Reportedly their front-troll: Julian Ezinca, had recently responded to an ad placed last week, and had received some profound news that is not quite ready to be made public yet. Julian and her band was given a light warning, but otherwise were unbothered afterwards.
Mewtwo's Birthday
On Feburary 6th, Mewtwo celebrated their 31st birthday. The celebration was small and tight-knit, with a number of gifts given, including an adventuring outfit. Best of luck to you and your years going forward, Mewtwo!
Freshly Hatched!
Since the day of the Weapon Incident, Rogue of Heart Charles has been carefully guarding the digitama form of their digimon. Recently however, the egg finally hatched, revealing Chicomon! I can only hope that Charles is less worried at this point.
Order upon Time
Korosian President Heir of Time Thoren Emit has recently completed the last steps of the last outstanding timeloop on planet Korous, involving diplomatic relations with the squidfolk of the timeswept sea. With the past no longer hanging in the balance, further progress can now be made on President Emit's next priority: getting Korous officially added to The Federation. Considering recent news elsewhere, it is hoped that this process doesn't take too long to complete.
Speaking of recent news elsewhere, it has been dubiously reported on planet Hepi that Mai had been stabbed by Xen instead of Mei, with the official excuse being "in self defense against an information stealing intruder". However, such claims have been discovered to be unfounded. Those that examine the publicly released footage can clearly see that Mei has a prosthetic eye, while Mai does not. Also, if the video is watched once more, it is plainly clear that the alternative explanation does not make any sense, as Mei did not attack when confronted with the blade, making the self defense theory completely moot. As a side-note, your dear newsletter writer is not a lawyer. The involved parties have better options in terms of active legal defense. Regardless, further investigation into this story is ongoing.
Vending...
It has been reported that the DTA stations will soon have vending machines, with a variety of products from various dimensions. The exact contents have yet to be reported, but it is assumed that they will be mostly snack items.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 183
Hello everyone, this is Mage of Light Nick Card. Peace seems to have returned just in time for February to arrive. The news continues regardless.
Clear Skyes Cubed
On January 30th, Skye Macdonald (all of them) celebrated her birthday. As for her ages, that has been considered indeterminate, due to at least one instance of her living in a timeless realm, and another having forgotten a number of things upon arrival. Regardless, Shutterbug Skye, Train fiend Ms. Macdonald, and Maid of Void Skitis celebrated the special day together with cake, razz berry jam, and a pair of tool guns that can summon and un-summon Perfectly Generic Objects. Green cubes were found all over Gene's garden the next day.
Getting Schooled
Classes have officially started for the Grand University of Time's Bounty in Grand Junctionia. Reportedly, there are 570 students this semester, with 352 taking classes in person, and at least 218 students currently taking their classes online. Much of the teaching staff is currently a set of archive accessing AI descended from The Curator, though less synthetic teachers are expected to add to this initial batch of teachers as time goes on. The great amount of students in the now bustling collage town has lead to a great uptick in local business, with many having arrived from outside of Korous. Local business taxes have made this a boon for the korosian economy, while regulations have made sure that prices aren't too high or too low.

Okay, I think that covers it. Most of the group has been trying to recover still. Further details are best kept private regarding that. In less secret news though, there's been recent progress on left beef, as well as my current game project. Changing the graphics scope was definitely what it needed, and now I'm roughly at the same spot I was, but with more planning. Not sure how long it'll take, but I'm hoping maybe to shoot for a 4/13 release, if possible. Regardless, I need my sleep soon. https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/418/charcherry-weekly-issue-183

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 182
This is Mage of Light Nick Card and somehow we're all alive still. Let's get to this.
Appearances and Altercations in Desertia
For an extended period of time this week, the dungeon crashers have been receiving threats from a figure of this title: "BEARER OF THE WORD 'KILL', WEAPON FROM BEYOND THE EDGE, REAPER OF POSSIBILITY, OBSERVER OF BIRDS". Many have come to call this figure "poob", but considering the very real threat that they posed, I believe it's appropriate to refer to them as "The Weapon". It was determined that the attack would take place on January 25th, 2024.
The day before that, a certain someone appeared in the ceiling crawlspace of the Desertia robotics lab. It turned out to be yet another version of Skye/Skitis, with a number of memories missing. She seems nice enough though.
The day of the attack, an ominous feeling permeated the air. A number of dungeon crashers waited in Desertia town, watching and waiting for the one who had hoped to destroy them. As the sun began to set, a shot rang out, and then many others. Holes in the very fabric of reality punctured through, until a mechanical creature six stories tall was able to emerge from it. The Weapon approached the domed Desertia town from the distance. Being alerted by this, those with courage to fight arrived on the scene. Warlock of Time Coleman arrived with Heir of Time Rise and Pokemon Champion Brae Emit. The Skye squad (Train operator, new visitor, and Skitis) stood on standby. Heir of Breath June Egbert was handed a fenestrated plane from which to summon decommissioned trains with. Witch of Time President Katyleen Kitten, with her impressive firepower, called in a prospitian battleship armed to the nines. Rogue of Heart Charles gazed upon The Weapon, and realized the true nature of the opponent pit against them, left transfixed in horror for an amount of time. The dome was put on lockdown and civilian visitors were evacuated. Your dear newsletter writer and their sibling, Mage of Light Nick Card and Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth, respectively, stood by the transportalizer pad from Unity to make sure it wouldn't be blocked off by an enemy.
The Weapon launched off a series of warning shots to those that stood against them, which somehow bypassed the D.A.D.S. dome security system?? Fortunately, there was only limb damage reported from this. At this point, the party got serious. Brae let out Bahamut the Eternatus, allowing Desertia to become a temporary Power Spot. She then let out Palkia in Gigantamax forme. Rise also let out Dialga in Gigantamax forme (as well as Charles with Levanny). At some point after she took a turn launching a train or two, Maid of Void Skitis was attacked by missiles, and was gravely injured. She had to be healed extensively for the duration of the altercation. In response, Charles digivolved V-mon to Skull Mammon in grief, assuming she was killed. Katie continuously applied More Dakka to The Weapon, while the Emit Twins did their timespace combo with Dialga and Palkia. June launched a number of trains as well. The D.A.D.S. managed to get knocked down past the barriers to the glass level, but held fast. While it was in operation, it also fired its own weapons at The Weapon.
The fight ended in an epic clash that left The Weapon gone where it stood. Reportedly, that was only the amount of it that was sent, as a message from the same overly long handle was sent on the memo soon after, with a confirmation that "the contract was fulfilled", whatever that meant. The moon was prepared to be used against The Weapon, but ultimately was not needed, and was put back into its rightful place without incident. After the threat was confirmed to be over, the medical team, comprised of Sylph of Life Nurse Eden, Edwin, Amaia, and Meika, went into action to retrieve and heal those that required medical attention. As expected, the stands in desertia square stayed closed for the rest of the day.
The next day, an android by the name of Positive appeared on the roof of Gene's Garden, apparently via magical teleportation. She was taken in by Heir of Hope Hazel Careon and Vriskers Serket, until Katyleen Kitten recovers enough from her own injuries to drive her home. In the meantime, she will be staying around town.

I think that covers pretty much everything. Recently I managed to finally restart efforts on HyacinthHeld, now using None Pizza With Left Beef Chapter 2 for VX Ace as a base. Already I'm beginning to get some actual inspiration for gameplay, using a much more manageable art style and no longer needing to spend a thousand years searching for plugins, since most of the scripts are already configured as needed. I just need to remember to actually work on the game more soon. Also, after all the stuff that went down recently, I now know why those running the trains were so afraid of us that they sent train fiend Skye to handle negotiations with us when the DTA was being formed. The Dungeon crashers are definitely a force to be reckoned with, and I'm supposed to be one of them too! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/417/charcherry-weekly-issue-182

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 181
Another chilly January day. let's try to warm up with some news.
Weird timey stuff
Reportedly, last week there was a temporary split in the timespace fabric in Gene, causing a number of individuals to have been sent to a different timeline for a few days. Reportedly not much happened in the interim and on Sunday those affected returned to their rightful places in this timeline. The only known loss, which might not even be correlated to this, was lord of rage Raine Emit, who apparently absconded from gene entirely, leaving her wedding ring behind. Heir of Time Thoren Emit has been receiving appropriate support in the wake of their separation.
Blue Hole 2: Spacetime Boogaloo
On Monday, Korosian president Thoren Emit traveled back to the site of the Grand Abyss during the events of the Grand Tour. accompanying them on this was Pokemon Champion Brae Emit (with an assortment of legendary pokemon), Maid of Void Skitis, Vriskers Serket + Heir of Hope Hazel Careon, and Maid of Life Jane crocker. using the Eros Machina, they took a trip across time and space to the site of concern. Brae called upon the power of Groudon and Kyogre, and successfully got them to work together to build a massive straw-like structure in the Grand Abyss, with it being tall enough to prevent further drainage of the Timeswept Sea. After that structure was built, she called upon Kyogre and Lugia to extract the water from the cavern below and redirect it back into the sea above. Thoren managed to sped up this process considerably, by usage of time powers. Unfortunately, the strain of such an acceleration caused them to lose consciousness for the rest of the day. as a result, a future version of Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten had to send the party back to the present instead, and promptly continued on her route towards the events near the end of chapter 1 in None pizza with left beef. All passengers made it safely back home eventually, though Thoren has reported that they still need to have one last past meeting with the squidfolk before korous can officially join the federation. Thankfully however, enough of the timeloop has been secured that the public transportation options leading to Squidlantis have been unlocked, which should make the last trip that much easier, once Thoren regains enough aspect power to make the leap backwards once more.
All Aboard!
With the unlocking of the Squidlantis station, the Red line is complete, and nearly all lines under the Desertian Transit Authority are up and operational. The only one that remains on the planning board currently is the Neon City metro, which has yet to have its routes planned. As an aside, a reminder that all Voidco activity has been banned on the DTA and that any that is found should be reported to @rulesenforcement on pestercord. Also, please do not engage unless you absolutely need to for the sake of self preservation.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
DTA train ticket stand
Katie’s potion stand (Not available to plitlanders due to regulations, available to all others however)

Rare held item stand: - Magnet - Nevermeltice - Punching glove - Rocky helmet - Scope lens

That should do it for this week. Hopefully with our new editor, Hazel, the quality of this publication can improve further. See you next week! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/416/charcherry-weekly-issue-181

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 180
Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. Somehow, I think we're gonna be alright. Don't ask me how, but there's gotta be something.
Jojo's Bizarre Park Secret
Rather recently, somebody new showed up in Unity Village. His name is Pane Stainglass and he is apparently a stand user, as well as a relatively obscure member of the lost pawns. Reportedly, his stand, 「Living on a Prayer」, continuously heals him and can allow him to heal others by contact, direct or tangential. After shaking his hand, your dear newsletter writer's back felt less sore than before and my finger no longer has a paper cut, so that seems to confirm it. He also has a hisuian Zorua that's often seen perched on his shoulder. For the time being, Pane is staying in town, assisting at the pokemon center when needed. Apparently, he had recently went on a special mission with Maid of Void Skitis to investigate The Park, which had been found suspicious of containing a dungeon core underneath it, due to an odd battery draining pattern observed at The Park's recently completed train station.
Skitis and Pane managed to uncover a great deal of evidence during their investigation.
First of all, there is indeed a dungeon core located under the park. Reportedly it operates on a pulse cycle, draining once per hour for a brief moment. Apparently it was not shut down because it had analog controls, and the team did not have the expertise to deactivate it safely, with record numbers of visitors up above in the park proper.
Secondly, there is an ectobiology lab there, which had apparently been used to try and clone a variety of legendary pokemon, without results however. Labels on the vats included "Mewtwo", "Genesect", "Kubfu", "Type: Null", and "Ori. One", reportedly also labeled "failure".
Thirdly, the poke armor department has a set of armor that appears to have been crafted (at high quality) for a certain pokegod to wear.
Other findings include a gold pokeball meant for holographic pokemon (possibly mirage pokemon, like in that special episode that came with the Lucario pokemon movie on dvd?), reports on various methods of pokemon empowerment, including mega stones, dynamaxing, terastalyzation, and other things. oddly enough, there was also research regarding digimon mixed in there too, as well as one or two books on caring for pokemon.
Skitis and Pane were able to narrowly escape, aided by diversionary tactics, courtesy of Rogue of Heart Charles.
Later that night, there was a commotion in town due to a certain well dressed prosecutor pulling up with LOUD RAP MUSIC FROM HIS FANCY SPACE SPORTSCAR THING. I should ask at town hall if there's any ordinances regarding loud music at night while in the village. Regardless, Lightyears Edgeworth was in town to pick up a sample of ectoslime that was obtained by Pane during the mission, to be examined by "a guy", whoever that might be. It is unknown how long this will take, but I figure it'll take until at least monday.
Reportedly Pane was seen practically hyperventilating after that short meeting.
A few days later, your dear newsletter writer finally actually met Pane at the library. He handed me a list of captchalogue codes to be alchemized, apparently having no grist to his name, despite apparently being a godtiered player of the game. Regardless, I thanked him for the codes and alchemized the results myself. Fortunately it wasn't too expensive to alchemize the full set. It turned out to be a great big stack of books and hardbound research notes that had been seen at the The Park. Having sorted through it myself, it looks like most of these books cover subjects regarding pokemon types and energy, as well as different methods of pokemon empowerment. There's also some papers involving the kind of digimon that Charles is afraid of accidentally leading his own digimon into digivolving to, though not much headway had been put into that. In addition, some books on pokemon care that will likely come in handy for the average visitors to the library.
Roughly a day after that, Rogue of Heart Charles, having last been seen sabotaging the technological integrations of the haunted house at The Park, was found at the Door Platform, having been brought into the pokeball shaped enclosure by a group of Space Forme shedinja, who had reportedly found charles floating in space, somewhere between the moons, possibly too close to a hatellite (hat satellite). Page of Rage Jovin was lead to the scene to pick Charles up from the location. Your dear newsletter writer directed Jovin towards the pokemon center, since I knew that Charles would not take getting stuck at the hospital well. Fortunately, Pane was available for healing services there, and was able to heal Charles of all injuries, though reportedly they still had a slight numbness left over from all those zap cannon attacks.
After pouring over the evidence and research, I felt that there was someone I had to ask questions to: Little Beepo. The curious little mech-vee that's been researching with me at the library for at least a few months now. Knowing that they had been working with Jojo before, I had to ask them if they knew what he was trying to do. The answers I got involved seemingly aspirational elevator pitches, though with limited communication methods, little beepo had to stack books to communicate complex ideas. What managed to come across though, was the idea that the frog-universe Gene is sick in some manner, and that the mech-vees went out into the field for better data to seek answers on this.
From what it seems, the answer they sought seems to reside in the divine, as Little Beepo and a number of nearby mech-vees proceeded to build a complex book sculpture that appeared to look like The Original One. The books used to build the divine effigy however, were quite varied. The legs were made of books about the concepts of time and space, people and emotions, pokemon and the nature of reality. The body was built out of a number of creation myths, including homestuck, but also more traditional ones. However, the head was made of a pokemon book, a book about souls, a book about a soul stealing machine, and a book about soul stealing and combining.
Corroborating from this, and what Skitis had told the group, it has become plainly clear:
Jo-baddie Rogue of Heart Jojo is trying to summon a hologram version of Arceus, potentially do some sort of heinous hearty thing, put the original one in custom armor, possibly even combine with Them, and then use Their Power to remake the entire universe in his image, which would destroy Everything and Everyone in Gene in the process. Which is to say, this is the kind of shit that Ex-galactic Cyrus was trying to do, but at a higher scale.
That being said, even if Jojo does fail, it still won't bode well for anyone in this universe. Knowing even what happened to Mage of Life Blaze and the world she was sent to, its easy to see just how bad things could get, even for a best case scenario.
Regardless, it is mine and my sibling's opinion that something ought to be done about Jojo and his plans to rip the universe a new one, but unfortunately, the only particular action that can be taken at this time is to avoid The Park. Any other specific actions that can be taken at this time are unknown.
A Terrible Fate avoided...?
Earlier this week, a figure with the most unnecessarily long chumhandle showed up in the memo, referred to as "BEARER OF THE WORD 'KILL', WEAPON FROM BEYOND THE EDGE, REAPER OF POSSIBILITY, OBSERVER OF BIRDS", or simply poob. They had stated that they are under contract to end the dungeon crashers, most likely in a highly fatal manner. A date and time was set for this stressful moment, but somehow it never came to pass. I do wonder if a doomed timeline had been avoided recently, considering a full party wipe would definitely be a doomed timeline.
Further investigation needed.
In other news however, on the 11th, the Korosian capital was filled with bustle as the Grand University of Time's Bounty officially opened, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and everything! Korosian President Heir of Time Thoren Emit was there personally, and gave a lengthy speech which was broadcasted on Korogov. They spoke a lot about how knowledge from Korous's past is what allowed it to rise from the ashes, and that to continue its growth, the knowledge must be shared and built upon. That being said, residents of korous who plan on going into various career fields on-planet will have the lowest tuition, with financial aid offered to those in need. Exchange students from off-world and beyond will also be accepted, but with higher tuition, though there will be scholarships made available. Classes are set to start in February.
As a reminder, the pink and red lines both stop at the korosian capital, making for easy travel there, in addition to the extensive transportalizer system across all current settlements.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katie’s potion stand (Not available to plitlanders due to regulations, available to all others however)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
korosian sun-strength sunglasses
Exp candy stand
plastic slot machine pencil sharpener stand
Utility Footwear stand: - Skates, ice (1 gp) - Boots, fire-resistant (20 gp) - Boots, softpaw (25 gp) - Snowshoes (5 gp) - Skis (5 gp)
I think that covers about everything. Who exactly is Pane? What is going on with Thoren lately? Why do so many alchemized computers have a HCF (Halt and Catch Fire) operation? Maybe not all of these have answers worth looking into, but maybe there will be more answers next week. For now, I have more drawing to do.

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 179
Hey everyone, its Mage of Light Nick Card. Its a new year and its cold outside! Lets warm up with some news.
On the first of the year, Starter Planet officially appeared on maps as it became publicly reachable! Previously, this world was held under a veil of secrecy, due to having been created by the SBARGv2 players after claiming the Ultimate Reward. It was unknown at the time that not only were there multiple successful sessions that had looped around and wound up also making an instance of Gene, but also that the cosmos contained wonders that would easily match our own. With the secrecy becoming a liability, a vote was tallied with a unanimous result. It is expected that Starter will gain a great amount of poketourism, so measures have been taken to make sure that visitors are safe upon arrival.
This move, of course, coincides with the opening of the pink line under the Desertian Transit Authority, which leads to a variety of locations on and off of the planet. The ones located on Starter Planet are Charcherry North, Neon City, and The Park. As a note, Charcherry North is a very small station, and it is expected that those wanting to go to Unity Village can take the train to Desertia Town and use the transportalizer pad in Gene's Garden, if a multi-mile walk past Lake River Rose and Mt. Phoenix isn't desired. The main Neon City station is apparently larger, and is set to also have a green line which will eventually go to a variety of locations within the megopolis, before departing for the Land of Cities and Neon, where Neon City was originally separated from. LoCaN is currently located somewhere in the furthest ring, and once had a void player before she disappeared to parts unknown. Reportedly the denizen, Nyx, may still reside on LoCaN, having last been seen singing at a jazz lounge at least a cycle ago (cycles being a count of cataclysmic incidents in the furthest ring). The station for The Park has been designed for easy evacuation, in case of dinosaur incident, or some other sort of assumed calamity. Other stops along the pink line include Desertia Town, Spaceport mall, Sea-Saw Resort, and Poketopia (the place where pokemon battle revolution took place). So far there are two branches from Poketopia, one which leads to Ancient Quarry, apparently located in the Hisui region (though oddly enough not the instance that Heir of Time Rise has been adventuring in), and one which leads to the "Mystery Zone" of Goldenrod City, located in the Johto region (most likely the instance that PKMN Breeder HAZEL had been adventuring in before she returned during the holiday season). On the other end of the pink line, there is the soon-to-be opened red line, which serves a number of towns on Planet Korous. As a note, Korous has yet to enter the federation, due to an important timeloop yet to be fulfilled.
In regards to this timeloop, Pokemon Champion Brae Emit has successfully captured and trained the legendary pokemon required for the timeloop. The earliest that she will be sent back to the expected date to complete her part of the mission will be on January 15th. As a reminder, the other part of the mission will involve dropping off an archive terminal, asking about any desired links to the surface (such as rail or transportalizer pad), and anything else that Heir of Time Thoren Emit will need to do in order to ethically gain the trust of the squidfolk. Currently open stops which are on both pink and red lines include the korosian capital and Endcroak City. Currently planned to open on the red line include Squidlantis, Snake's Mouth and a station for each upper and lower Alcove. Reportedly, an order was sent in because a surveyor fell down the stairs that lead down to lower Alcove. Overall, it is very likely that all of these stops and stations will greatly improve the economies of the places it connects to.
In other news, Prince of Heart Red has recently been released from observation hold. It has been hotly debated how she ought to be treated, knowing her unsavory past. There are reports that there may or may not be a bounty hunter from Plit that seeks damages for her past actions. This has yet to be confirmed beyond bar gossip, however.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katie’s potion stand (Not available to plitlanders due to regulations, available to all others however)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
DTA model train stand (has all line train types in stock!)
Pokeball stand (has the three basic strengths, as well as a few specialty balls in stock. May or may not have Ball Guy running it)
Pocketwatch stand
Desertia Town glitter snowglobe stand
Specialty Book Stand: - Book, cypher (150 gp) - Stationery (1 gp) - Ink, stink (5 gp) - Book, footprints (50 gp) - Book, Dungeon Guide (“Grave Journal“) (4,600 gp) - Paper, glue (1 sheet) (1 sp) - Book, obsession log (25 gp) - Ink, invisible (good) (25 gp)
And that does it for now. Work on left beef and your dear newsletter writer's current game project is going slow lately. Maybe its the weather? Maybe its my lighty senses distracting me from work beyond my librarian stuff? Either way, I hope I get a chance to do some solid game work soon, even if Left Beef is waiting for me. Stay warm out there! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/414/charcherry-weekly-issue-179
