When Bal began to accept Nimona, he accepted that she could breathe fire without asking any questions about it. That's amazing and important, but he also accepted blasting the gameboard with fire breath as a valid way to win monopoly, and that's amazing and important too, a moment that made me feel seen as a neurodivergent viewer.

thundercracker, starscream and skywarp like human culture more than they like to admit (well thundercracker loves to admit it he's not like his siblings). anyway, starscream and skywarp's conjunx ceremonies mirror earth weddings to an extent because those two are just extra like that. so when it comes to someoen walking them down the aisle at their seperate occasions it's thundercracker it's like, he's like 'CAN I WALK YOU TWO DOWN THE ASILE?" and it's like 'yes, you can'. he wears a fake moustache for starscream's and a fake beard for skywarp's.

That ADHD feel of standing and staring out the window for 10 minutes/until someone asks what you're doing.

If I did the math correctly, a Cybertronian befriending a human is like a human befriending a being that lives for less than a third of a 24-hour day.
I am NOT okay.
Average life expectancy of a Cybertronian, according to IDW: 8 million Earth years, give or take
Average life expectancy of a human: 80-ish years
One Cybertronian lifetime is 100,000x longer than one human lifetime.
One human lifetime (80 years) divided by that same 100,000 equals 0.0008 of one year.
0.0008 of one year is 7.008 hours.
Imagine caring about beings whose entire lifetimes occupy a mere SEVEN HOURS of your day.
This puts in perspective every dismissive comment made by any Cybertronian about humans.
And suddenly, every Cybertronian who’s formed a connection with a human in canon is so much more extraordinary to me.

As long as we associate masculinity and discussions about masculinity and/or manhood with patriarchal, right-wing ideals or figureheads, we will never have a healthy outlook on masculinity and manhood.
This is precisely why I talk so much about trans manhood and masculinity. We need to move away from hegemonic, right-wing ideas of manhood and masculinity. To other trans people, trans men, transmasculine folk, whomever wishes to contribute to conversations about this, I think your voice matters. This, of course, applies not just to transness but also to race, sexuality, expression, and broader cultural understandings of manhood and masculinity. We need as many different voices speaking up about manhood and masculinity lest we go right back to the same patriarchal ideals that we are (trying to, at least) moving away from.

“Disabilities are not things to be embarrassed of and being disabled is a part of who I am”
And
“Certain disabilities are so unbearable that it’s normal to wish you weren’t disabled”
Are two separate concepts that can and should coexist

that adhd feel of doing something you intend, even just the once and that changing your entire perspective of yourself, like maybe the distance between wishing and intent isn't so far as it sometimes feels

the asl sign for “transgender“ is basically the same as the sign for ”beautiful“ but signed at the chest instead of in front of the face.
so that’s cool.

Attitudes to Non-Human Characters in Fiction
Eligible Participants: Everyone over 18 is eligible for this study, so long as you take the survey that fits your demographic.
The first survey is aimed at neurodivergent or gender non-conforming participants.
The second survey is aimed at neurotypical and gender-conforming participants - in other words, everyone else who does not fall into the first survey demographic.
You must be 18 or over to take part in either of these surveys.
These surveys are part of a study on tropes concerning gender and neurodivergence in media. You will be asked about your headcanons regarding non-human characters who are coded as (i.e. not canonically, but implied to be) neurodivergent and/or gender non-conforming, as well as characters who are confirmed as such in canon. I am studying personal attitudes and opinions, so there are no wrong answers. For transparency's sake, I am clinically diagnosed as neurodivergent and am non-binary myself. Reblogs appreciated. Thank you so much for your time!
If you are neurodivergent and/or gender non-conforming, please take this survey:
If you are both neurotypical and gender-conforming, please take this survey:
