I want a logical explanation of why would Oswald spend 10 years locked up in Blackgate when the whole time for this past five seasons he has been able to get out from Arkham and from harder life threatening situations. Blackgate may have a good security, but this is Oswald we are talking about. Besides, it's not like he cannot get allies inside and out of Blackgate to help him out and this time there is no one that could threaten him.
In the last episode, he established a partnership with one of the most intelligent men in Gotham and I doubt Edward would sabotage him to keep him locked up. And even if the trailer shows him in Arkham, there is no mention of him spending the very same 10 years in there.
It just doesn't add up for me and having Oswald out for those 10 years, building his empire and all, would make it more interesting imo.
I love the fact that Oswald didn't use the submarine because it didn't work or because he had to have revenge as usual, but because he actually cares for Gotham. That's a good reason for him to fight back, and I couldn't be prouder that it's shown at least at the very end, how much he feels for the city.
I weep for what it could have been an everlasting comradeship (and even friendship) between Barbara and Oswald. They could have been such a powerful duo, but the opportunity was murdered in front of our very own eyes.
I can't wait for Oswald's line "mi casa es su casa" for Jim. It's probably coming next episode, because that was the last ep they filmed. Plus, it seems fitting for Jim's trial.
