Me personally tho? All my friends are ehg in their own way, sooo i slowly let them get used to the fact i like 'weird' things sometimes, so after a while i said to them im a proshipper (and a paraphile) and they were like 'yeah thats fucking obvious Kevin'. During that process when you subtly hint it and let them get used to it, if their reaction is negative u just dont tell em.

Kicking children out of spaces because its the best for them is fucking okay because if i ever see my son in a place thats for motherfucking adults and the adults are not doing anything I'd be alarmed. If my child is not protected he would be vulnerable, there is a reason why i dont let him go near my friends, there is a reason why i dont always let him come with me and make him wait home. Its so that he doesnt get harmed, an adult who is responsible for something someone especially a child should act on it. Thats not ageism. Thats doing what youre supposed to do.
