> plus, the Russian Orthodox haven’t been oppressed by another culture, like Native Americans have. Far fucking from it.
Russian Orthodoxy haven't been oppressed by another culture? Are you really that ignorant?
Even if we skip the earlier history, when it was under a constant threat from the Poles who, for hudreds of years, have been trying to convert everyone and his dog to Catholicism, you are talking about religion that has almost been eradicated less than a hundred years ago. Churches were blown up, priests were shot down, people were forbidden to say prayers, all that to establish a new and absolutely alien culture, atheistic to its very core, communism. Tens of thousands were slaughtered, religious symbols were torn down, cathedrals turned into piles of bricks, consert halls and latrines, desecrated, vandalized. Communists even went as far as to create a pseudo-religion with its own sets of holidays to completely erase everything remniscent of Russian Orthodoxy.
If anything of this is news for you, than you don't know squat about a culture that you are trying to appropriate, oh, I beg your pardon, associate with. Otherwise you would have known why people are acting so protective.
And you being "1\16 Cherokee" doesn't give you any excuse to insult and ridicule a culture that you neither know, nor understand. Or not even want to understand, for than matter. You've got no moral right to use the holy symbols of my people for your personal egoistic needs, for fame and profit. And if, as it turns out, you despise everything they stand for, it only makes you look even worse.

Last weekend I teamed up with amazing ladies Missy Macabre (left) and Karina Akopyan (right) for a Holy Trinity shoot!
Each of us are inspired by religious iconography, and put together these outfits, so it only made sense to do a shoot together. I love how we look like slightly different styles/cultures, with Missy quite traditional Catholic, myself as some kind of Spanish incarnation, and Karina as Russian Orthodox.
More coming soon! Please DO NOT remove this text.

It is May 7 already and I still feel sick to my bones with sadness and disgust.

Caption reads: Auschwitz — Odessa.
People were beaten to death, tortured and burned alive by Ukrainian ultra-nationalists. People were jumping from windows, trying to flee from burning hell, only to be finished off on the ground with baseball bats and crowbars.
May 2, 2014. This madness will not be forgotten. It will not be forgiven.

Scratches on the wall left by a pro-Russian activist, who was burned alive in Odessa, at May 2. At least 46 people died after a fire, set by arsonists from Ukrainian ultra-nationalists groups and football ultras.

No, it is not. That is just an opinion of one particular person, who is well known for both his anti-Putin stance and superhuman talent to foresee disasters that never actually happen.

As for the part in bold: I shit you not, he did say exactly that. A person who had became one of the highest officials in Ukrainian Security Counsel have asked terrorist number one in Russia to help his cause with some bombing. It is as if Minister of Defence of Mexico would have asked Ossama bin Laden to bomb buildings in US just to show some support.
Everything is THAT crazy.
Somebody should turn off wifi in our apartment, because I swear to God western media and their incoherent attempts to apprehend Ukraine/Russia story is going to give me a stroke or something. Like these guys are still not sure whenever Czechoslovakia exists, but they are pretty sure they know what is up. A random fact: Yarosh( dude who is so very present and prominent in brand new Ukranian government, leader of radical neo-Nazi who provided muscle to this revolution) asked Doku Umarov (just fyi, dude is most wanted in Russia, USA is offering 5 mil$ for information leading to his capture, a terrorist, responsible for hundreds of dead civilians) to strike against Russia. I bet media doesn’t mention the fact. I wonder what would happen if USA neighbours said something like “hey Taliban go get USA while you can”. Or what would happen if somebody was threatening Americans somewhere, someplace. Right, I forgot, only a certain countries on this planet are allowed to invade other countries to bring some democracy. Now watch them do nothing in supposedly outrageous situation because the truth is - they just don’t give a fuck when it is about a bankrupt country and not oil. The only truth out there is that Ukraine is truly divided and it didn’t happen yesterday. It is a historical fact, it has nearly always been like that for shit ton of reasons. I wish Russia didn’t go there, I abhor violence, I pray there won’t be any actual battle action, but the situation proved that if they didn’t, it would be seen as betrayal from those in Ukraine who expect Russia to intervene. A hard decision to make. They never show these cheering people holding Russian flags over there, I guess. 140 thousand people immigrated to Russia from Ukraine in four months. Support of Russian troops was asked by many people from Eastern Ukraine, voted on in local parliaments and requested by former (but still pretty legal) President of Ukraine, who I hope would desintegrate any second because its his silence too that caused the whole situation and he is a dick in general. Let people decide they say, but when people actually decide something…
